1. COMFORT, COMFORT My people, says your God.

2. నా జనులను ఓదార్చుడి ఓదార్చుడి యెరూషలేముతో ప్రేమగా మాటలాడుడి ఆమె యుద్ధకాలము సమాప్తమయ్యెను ఆమె దోషరుణము తీర్చబడెను యెహోవా చేతివలన ఆమె తన సమస్త పాపముల నిమిత్తము రెండింతలు పొందెనను సమాచారము ఆమెకు ప్రకటించుడి.

2. Speak tenderly to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry to her that her time of service and her warfare are ended, that [her punishment is accepted and] her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received [punishment] from the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

3. A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God! [Mark 1:3.]

4. ప్రతి లోయను ఎత్తు చేయవలెను ప్రతి పర్వతమును ప్రతి కొండను అణచవలెను వంకరవి చక్కగాను కరుకైనవి సమముగాను ఉండ వలెను.

4. Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.

5. యెహోవా మహిమ బయలుపరచబడును ఒకడును తప్పకుండ సర్వశరీరులు దాని చూచెదరు ఈలాగున జరుగునని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చియున్నాడు.

5. And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. [Luke 3:5, 6.]

6. A voice says, Cry [prophesy]! And I said, What shall I cry? [The voice answered, Proclaim:] All flesh is as frail as grass, and all that makes it attractive [its kindness, its goodwill, its mercy from God, its glory and comeliness, however good] is transitory, like the flower of the field.

7. యెహోవా తన శ్వాసము దానిమీద ఊదగా గడ్డి యెండును పువ్వు వాడును నిశ్చయముగా జనులు గడ్డివంటివారే.

7. The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely [all] the people are like grass.

8. గడ్డి యెండిపోవును దాని పువ్వు వాడిపోవును మన దేవుని వాక్యము నిత్యము నిలుచును.

8. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. [James 1:10, 11; I Pet. 1:24, 25.]

9. సీయోనూ, సువార్త ప్రటించుచున్నదానా, ఉన్నతపర్వతము ఎక్కుము యెరూషలేమూ, సువార్త ప్రకటించుచున్నదానా, బలముగా ప్రకటించుము భయపడక ప్రకటింపుమి - ఇదిగో మీ దేవుడు అని యూదా పట్టణములకు ప్రకటించుము.

9. O you who bring good tidings to Zion, get up to the high mountain. O you who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God! [Acts 10:36; Rom. 10:15.]

10. ఇదిగో తన బాహువే తన పక్షమున ఏలుచుండగా ప్రభువగు యెహోవా తానే శక్తిసంపన్నుడై వచ్చును ఆయన ఇచ్చు బహుమానము ఆయనయొద్దనున్నది ఆయన చేయు ప్రతికారము ఆయనకు ముందుగానడచుచున్నది.

10. Behold, the Lord God will come with might, and His arm will rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. [Rev. 22:7, 12.]

11. గొఱ్ఱెలకాపరివలె ఆయన తన మందను మేపును తన బాహువుతో గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను కూర్చి రొమ్మున ఆనించుకొని మోయును పాలిచ్చువాటిని ఆయన మెల్లగా నడిపించును.

11. He will feed His flock like a shepherd: He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom and will gently lead those that have their young.

12. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, marked off the heavens with a [nine-inch] span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

13. Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him? [Rom. 11:34.]

14. With whom did He take counsel, that instruction might be given Him? Who taught Him the path of justice and taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding?

15. జనములు చేదనుండి జారు బిందువులవంటివి జనులు త్రాసుమీది ధూళివంటివారు ద్వీపములు గాలికి ఎగురు సూక్ష్మ రేణువులవలె నున్నవి.

15. Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket and are counted as small dust on the scales; behold, He takes up the isles like a very little thing.

16. సమిధలకు లెబానోను చాలకపోవును దహనబలికి దాని పశువులు చాలవు

16. And all Lebanon's [forests] cannot supply sufficient fuel, nor all its wild beasts furnish victims enough to burn sacrifices [worthy of the Lord].

17. ఆయన దృష్టికి సమస్త జనములు లేనట్టుగానే యుండును ఆయన దృష్టికి అవి అభావముగాను శూన్యముగాను ఎంచబడును.

17. All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are regarded by Him as less than nothing and emptiness (waste, futility, and worthlessness).

18. కావున మీరు ఎవనితో దేవుని పోల్చుదురు? ఏ రూపమును ఆయనకు సాటిచేయగలరు?

18. To whom then will you liken God? Or with what likeness will you compare Him? [Acts 17:29.]

19. విగ్రహమును చూడగా శిల్పి దానిని పోతపోయును కంసాలి దానిని బంగారు రేకులతో పొదుగును దానికి వెండి గొలుసులు చేయును

19. The graven image! A workman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and casts silver chains for it.

20. విలువగలదానిని అర్పింపజాలని నీరసుడు పుచ్చని మ్రాను ఏర్పరచుకొనును కదలని విగ్రహమును స్థాపించుటకు నేర్పుగల పని వాని వెదకి పిలుచుకొనును.

20. He who is so impoverished that he has no offering or oblation or rich gift to give [to his god is constrained to make a wooden offering, an idol; so he] chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks out a skillful craftsman to carve and set up an image that will not totter or deteriorate.

21. మీకు తెలియదా? మీరు వినలేదా? మొదటినుండి ఎవరును మీతో చెప్పలేదా? భూమిని స్థాపించుటనుబట్టి మీరుదాని గ్రహింపలేదా?

21. [You worshipers of idols, you are without excuse.] Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? [These things ought to convince you of God's omnipotence and of the folly of bowing to idols.] Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? [Rom. 1:20, 21.]

22. ఆయన భూమండలముమీద ఆసీనుడై యున్నాడు దాని నివాసులు మిడతలవలె కనబడుచున్నారు ఒకడు తెరను విప్పినట్లు ఆయన ఆకాశవైశాల్యమును వ్యాపింపజేసెను ఒకడు గుడారము వేసినట్లు ఆయన దానిని నివాస స్థలముగా ఏర్పరచెను.

22. It is God Who sits above the circle (the horizon) of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; it is He Who stretches out the heavens like [gauze] curtains and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,

23. రాజులను ఆయన లేకుండచేయును భూమియొక్క న్యాయాధిపతులను మాయాస్వరూపులుగా చేయును.

23. Who brings dignitaries to nothing, Who makes the judges and rulers of the earth as chaos (emptiness, falsity, and futility).

24. వారు నాటబడగనే విత్తబడగనే వారి మొదలు భూమిలో వేరు తన్నకమునుపే ఆయన వారిమీద ఊదగా వారు వాడిపోవుదురు సుడిగాలి పొట్టును ఎగరగొట్టునట్లు ఆయన వారిని ఎగరగొట్టును.

24. Yes, these men are scarcely planted, scarcely are they sown, scarcely does their stock take root in the earth, when [the Lord] blows upon them and they wither, and the whirlwind or tempest takes them away like stubble.

25. నీవు ఇతనితో సమానుడవని మీరు నన్నెవనికి సాటి చేయుదురు? అని పరిశుద్ధుడు అడుగుచున్నాడు.

25. To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One.

26. మీకన్నులు పైకెత్తి చూడుడి వీటిని ఎవడు సృజించెను? వీటి లెక్కచొప్పున వీటి సమూహములను బయలు దేరజేసి వీటన్నిటికిని పేరులు పెట్టి పిలుచువాడే గదా. తన అధికశక్తిచేతను తనకు కలిగియున్న బలాతిశయము చేతను ఆయన యొక్కటియైనను విడిచిపెట్టడు.

26. Lift up your eyes on high and see! Who has created these? He Who brings out their host by number and calls them all by name; through the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing or lacks anything.

27. యాకోబూనా మార్గము యెహోవాకు మరుగై యున్నది నా న్యాయము నా దేవుని దృష్టికి కనబడలేదు అని నీవేల అనుచున్నావు? ఇశ్రాయేలూ, నీవేల ఈలాగు చెప్పుచున్నావు?

27. Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God?

28. నీకు తెలియలేదా? నీవు వినలేదా? భూదిగంతములను సృజించిన యెహోవా నిత్యుడగు దేవుడు ఆయన సొమ్మసిల్లడు అలయడు ఆయన జ్ఞానమును శోధించుట అసాధ్యము.

28. Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.

29. సొమ్మసిల్లినవారికి బలమిచ్చువాడు ఆయనే శక్తిహీనులకు బలాభివృద్ధి కలుగజేయువాడు ఆయనే.

29. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. [II Cor. 12:9.]

30. బాలురు సొమ్మసిల్లుదురు అలయుదురు ¸యౌవనస్థులు తప్పక తొట్రిల్లుదురు

30. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

31. యెహోవాకొరకు ఎదురు చూచువారు నూతన బలము పొందుదురు వారు పక్షిరాజులవలె రెక్కలు చాపి పైకి ఎగురుదురు అలయక పరుగెత్తుదురు సొమ్మసిల్లక నడిచిపోవుదురు.

31. But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [Heb. 12:1-3.]
