1. And Yahweh said unto me: Take thee a large tablet, and write thereon in plain characters, To Maher-shalal-hash-baz. 'Speed-spoil-hurry-prey'.

2. That I may take in attestation, faithful witnesses, even Uriah the priest, and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.

3. Then approached I unto the prophetess, and she conceived and bare a son, and Yahweh said unto me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

4. ఈ బాలుడునాయనా అమ్మా అని అననేరక మునుపు అష్షూరురాజును అతని వారును దమస్కు యొక్క ఐశ్వర్యమును షోమ్రోను దోపుడు సొమ్మును ఎత్తికొని పోవుదురనెను.

4. For before the boy shall have knowledge to cry, My father! and, My mother! the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be carried away before the king of Assyria.

5. మరియు యెహోవా ఇంకను నాతో ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

5. And again Yahweh spake unto me yet further saying:

6. ఈ జనులు మెల్లగా పారు షిలోహు నీళ్లు వద్దని చెప్పి రెజీనునుబట్టియు రెమల్యా కుమారునిబట్టియు సంతోషించుచున్నారు.

6. Because this people hath refused the waters of Shiloah which flow softly, and are rejoicing with Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

7. కాగా ప్రభువు బలమైన యూఫ్రటీసునది విస్తార జలములను, అనగా అష్షూరు రాజును అతని దండంతటిని వారిమీదికి రప్పించును; అవి దాని కాలువలన్నిటిపైగా పొంగి ఒడ్డు లన్నిటిమీదను పొర్లి పారును.

7. now therefore, lo! the Lord is about to bring up against them the waters, strong and many, of the River, even the king of Assyria and all his glory, and he shall rise over all his channels, and flow over all his banks;

8. అవి యూదా దేశములోనికి వచ్చి పొర్లి ప్రవహించును; అవి కుతికల లోతగును. ఇమ్మానుయేలూ, పక్షి తన రెక్కలు విప్పునప్పటివలె దాని రెక్కల వ్యాప కము నీ దేశ వైశాల్య మంతటను వ్యాపించును.

8. and roll on throughout Judah overflow and pass along, till unto the neck, he shall reach, and it shall be, that, the stretching out of his wings, shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel!

9. జనులారా, రేగుడి మీరు ఓడిపోవుదురు; దూరదేశస్థులారా, మీరందరు ఆలకించుడి మీరు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు నడుము కట్టుకొనినను ఓడిపోవుదురు.

9. Rage, O ye peoples, and be overthrown, And give ear, all ye distant parts of the earth, Gird yourselves and be overthrown, Gird yourselves, and be overthrown:

10. ఆలోచన చేసికొనినను అది వ్యర్థమగును మాట పలికినను అది నిలువదు. దేవుడు మాతోనున్నాడు.

10. Determine a plan, and it shall be frustrated, Speak a word, and it shall not stand, For With-us-is-GOD!

11. ఈ జనులమార్గమున నడువకూడదని యెహోవా బహు బలముగా నాతో చెప్పియున్నాడు; నన్ను గద్దించి యీ మాట సెలవిచ్చెను

11. For, thus, spake Yahweh unto me like a firm grasp of the hand, when he admonished me, not to walk in the way of this people, saying:

12. ఈ ప్రజలు బందుకట్టు అని చెప్పునదంతయు బందుకట్టు అనుకొనకుడి వారు భయపడుదానికి భయపడకుడి దానివలన దిగులు పడకుడి.

12. Ye shall not say A confederacy! of everything of which this people may say. A confederacy! And their fear, shall ye not fear or regard as awful:

13. Yahweh of hosts, him, shall ye hallow, And let, him, be your fear, and let, him inspire you with awe;

15. And many, shall stumble among them, and fall and be torn, and snared, and captured.

16. ఈ ప్రమాణవాక్యమును కట్టుము, ఈ బోధను ముద్రించి నా శిష్యుల కప్పగింపుము.

16. Bind thou up the testimony, Seal the instruction amongst my disciples.

17. యాకోబు వంశమునకు తన ముఖమును మరుగుచేసి కొను యెహోవాను నమ్ముకొను నేను ఎదురుచూచు చున్నాను ఆయనకొరకు నేను కనిపెట్టుచున్నాను.

17. I will therefore long for Yahweh, Who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob, And will wait, for him.

18. Lo! I and the children whom Yahweh hath given me, are for signs and for wonders in Israel, from Yahweh of hosts, who is making his habitation in Mount Zion.

19. But, when they say unto you Seek ye unto the necromancers and unto the wizards, who chirp, and who mutter, Should not u people seek, unto its God? In behalf of the living, should it seek unto the dead?

20. ధర్మశాస్త్రమును ప్రమాణ వాక్యమును విచా రించుడి; ఈ వాక్యప్రకారము వారు బోధించనియెడల వారికి అరుణోదయము కలుగదు.

20. To the law and to the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, It is , because they have no dawning day.

21. అట్టివారు ఇబ్బంది పడుచు ఆకలిగొని దేశసంచారము చేయుదురు. ఆకలి గొనుచు వారు కోపపడి తమ రాజు పేరను తమ దేవుని పేరను శాపములు పలుకుచు మీద చూతురు;

21. Therefore shall they pass through it hard pressed and hungry, And it shall be when they hunger, then will they rage and revile their king and their god and turn their faces upwards;

22. భూమి తట్టు తేరి చూడగా బాధలును అంధకారమును దుస్సహ మైన వేదనయు కలుగును; వారు గాఢాంధకారములోనికి తోలివేయబడెదరు.

22. And unto the land, shall they look hard, And lo! distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish, driven away!
