1. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు

1. Moreover, thus said the LORD unto Jeremy. Go thy way, and buy thee an earthen pitcher, and bring forth the Senators, and the chief priests

2. నీవు వెళ్లి కుమ్మరి చేయు మంటి కూజాను కొని, జనుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని యాజకుల పెద్దలలో కొందరిని పిలుచు కొనిపోయి, హర్సీతు గుమ్మపు ద్వారమునకు ఎదురుగా నున్న బెన్‌హిన్నోము లోయలోనికిపోయి నేను నీతో చెప్పబోవు మాటలు అక్కడ ప్రకటింపుము.

2. in to the valley of the children of Hennom, which lieth before the port that is made of brick, and shew them there the words, that I shall tell thee,

3. నీ విట్లనుము - యూదారాజులారా, యెరూషలేము నివాసులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి; సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలకించుడి, దాని సమాచారము వినువారందరికి చెవులు గింగురుమనునంత కీడును నేను ఈ స్థలము మీదికి రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను.

3. and say thus unto them: Hear the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and ye citizens of Jerusalem: Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring such a plague upon this place, that the ears of all that hear it, shall glow.

4. ఏలయనగా వారు నన్ను విసర్జించి యీ స్థలములో అపచారము చేసి యున్నారు, వారైనను వారి తండ్రులైనను యూదా రాజు లైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలకు దానిలో ధూపము వేసి నిరపరాధుల రక్తముచేత ఈ స్థలమును నింపిరి

4. And that because they have forsaken me, and unhallowed this place, and have offered in it unto strange gods: whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known. They have filled this place also with the blood of innocents,

5. నేను విధింపనిదియు సెలవియ్యనిదియు నా మనస్సునకు తోచ నిదియునైన ఆచారము నాచరించిరి; తమ కుమారులను దహనబలులుగా కాల్చుటకై బయలునకు బలిపీఠములను కట్టించిరి.

5. for they have set up an altar unto Baal, to burn their children for a burntoffering unto Baal, which I neither commanded, nor charged them, neither thought once thereupon.

6. ఇందునుబట్టి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాట ఏదనగా రాబోవు దినములలో ఈ స్థలము హత్య లోయ అనబడును గాని తోఫెతు అనియైనను బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయ అనియైనను పేరు వాడబడదు.

6. Behold therefore, the time cometh (sayeth the LORD) that this place shall no more be called Topheth, nor the valley of the children of Hennom, but the valley of slaughter.

7. తమ శత్రువుల యెదుట ఖడ్గముచేతను, తమ ప్రాణములనుతీయ వెదకువారిచేతను వారిని కూలజేసి, ఆకాశ పక్షులకును భూజంతువులకును ఆహారముగా వారి కళే బరములను ఇచ్చి, ఈ స్థలములోనే యూదావారి ఆలోచనను యెరూషలేమువారి ఆలోచనను నేను వ్యర్థము చేసెదను.

7. For in this place will I slay the Senators of Juda and Jerusalem, and kill them down with the sword in the sight of their enemies, and of them that seek their lives. And their dead carcasses will I give to be meat for the fowls of the air, and beasts of the field.

8. ఆ మార్గమున పోవు ప్రతివాడును ఆశ్చర్య పడి దానికి కలిగిన యిడుమలన్నిటిని చూచి అపహాస్యము చేయునంతగా ఈ పట్టణమును పాడు గాను అపహాస్యాస్పదముగాను నేను చేసెదను.

8. And I will make this city so desolate, and despised: that whoso goeth thereby, shall be abashed and jest upon her, because of all her plagues.

9. వారు తమ కూమారుల మాంసమును తమ కుమార్తెల మాంసమును తినునట్లు చేసెదను; తమ ప్రాణము తీయ వెదకు శత్రువులు తమకు ఇబ్బందికలిగించుటకై వేయు ముట్టడిని బట్టియు దానివలన కలిగిన యిబ్బందినిబట్టియు వారిలో ప్రతివాడు తన చెలికాని మాంసము తినును.

9. I will feed them also with the flesh of their sons and their daughters. Yea every one shall eat up another in the besieging and straightness, wherewith their enemies (that seek their lives) shall keep them in.

10. ఈ మాటలు చెప్పినతరువాత నీతోకూడ వచ్చిన మనుష్యులు చూచుచుండగా నీవు ఆ కూజాను పగులగొట్టి వారితో ఈలాగనవలెను

10. And the pitcher shalt thou break in the sight of the men, that shall be with thee, and say unto them:

11. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మరల బాగుచేయ నశక్యమైన కుమ్మరి పాత్రను ఒకడు పగులగొట్టునట్లు నేను ఈ జనమును ఈ పట్టణమును పగులగొట్ట బోవుచున్నాను; తోఫెతులో పాతిపెట్టుటకు స్థలములేక పోవునంతగా వారు అక్కడనే పాతిపెట్టబడుదురు.

11. Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts: Even so will I destroy this people and city: as a Potter breaketh a vessel, that can not be made whole again. In Topheth shall they be buried, for they shall have none other place.

12. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే ఈ పట్టణమును తోఫెతువంటి స్థలముగా నేను చేయుదును, ఈ స్థలమునకును దాని నివాసులకును నేనాలాగున చేయుదును.

12. Thus will I do unto this place also, sayeth the LORD, and to them that dwell therein: yea I will do to this city as unto Topheth.

13. యెరూషలేము ఇండ్లును యూదారాజుల నగరులును ఆ తోఫెతు స్థలమువలెనే అపవిత్రములగును; ఏ యిండ్లమీద జనులు ఆకాశ సమూహమను దేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురో, లేక అన్యదేవతలకు పానార్పణములనర్పించుదురో ఆ యిండ్లన్నిటికి ఆలాగే జరుగును.

13. For the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah are defiled, like as Topheth, because of all the houses, in whose parlors they did sacrifice unto all the host of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto strange gods.

14. ఆ ప్రవచనము చెప్పుటకు యెహోవా తన్ను పంపిన తోఫెతులోనుండి యిర్మీయా వచ్చి యెహోవా మందిరపు ఆవరణములో నిలిచి జనులందరితో ఈలాగు చెప్పెను.

14. And so Jeremy came from Topheth, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy, and stood in the court of the house of the LORD, and spake to all the people:

15. సైన్యములకధిపతియు ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఈ జనులు నా మాటలు వినకుండ మొండికి తిరిగియున్నారు గనుక ఈ పట్టణమునుగూర్చి నేను చెప్పిన కీడంతయు దాని మీదికిని దానితో సంబంధించిన పట్టణములన్నిటిమీదికిని రప్పించుచున్నాను.

15. Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon every town about it, all the plagues that I have devised against them: for they have been obstinate, and would not obey my warnings.
