1. రాజైన సిద్కియా మల్కీయా కుమారుడైన పషూరును యాజకుడగు మయశేయా కుమారుడైన జెఫన్యాను పిలిపించి

1. The worde which came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent vnto him Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah, and Zephaniah, the sonne of Maaseiah the Priest, saying,

2. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు మనమీద యుద్ధముచేయుచున్నాడు; అతడు మనయొద్దనుండి వెళ్లి పోవునట్లు యెహోవా తన అద్భుతకార్యములన్నిటిని చూపి మనకు తోడైయుండునో లేదో దయచేసి మా నిమిత్తము యెహోవా చేత నీవు విచారించుమని చెప్పుటకు యిర్మీయాయొద్దకు వారిని పంపగా యెహోవాయొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు.

2. Inquire, I pray thee, of the Lord for vs, (for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel maketh warre against vs) if so be that the Lord will deale with vs according to all his wonderous workes, that he may returne vp from vs.

3. యిర్మీయా వారితో ఇట్లనెను మీరు సిద్కియాతో ఈ మాట చెప్పుడి

3. Then said Ieremiah, Thus shall you say to Zedekiah,

4. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు బబులోను రాజుమీదను, మిమ్మును ముట్టడివేయు కల్దీయులమీదను, మీరుపయోగించుచున్న యుద్దాయుధములను ప్రాకారముల బయట నుండి తీసికొని యీ పట్టణము లోపలికి వాటిని పోగు చేయించెదను.

4. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I will turne backe the weapons of warre that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the King of Babel, and against the Caldeans, which besiege you without the walles, and I will assemble them into the middes of this citie.

5. కోపమును రౌద్రమును అత్యుగ్రతయు కలిగినవాడనై, బాహుబలముతోను, చాచిన చేతితోను నేనే మీతో యుద్ధము చేసెదను.

5. And I my selfe will fight against you with an outstretched hand, and with a mighty arme, eue in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation.

6. మనుష్యులనేమి పశువులనేమి యీ పట్టణపు నివాసులనందరిని హతము చేసెదను; గొప్ప తెగులుచేత వారు చచ్చెదరు.

6. And I will smite the inhabitants of this citie, both man, and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

7. అటు తరువాత నేను యూదాదేశపు రాజైన సిద్కియాను, అతని ఉద్యోగస్థులను, తెగులును ఖడ్గమును క్షామమును తప్పించుకొని శేషించిన ప్రజలను, బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరుచేతికి, వారి ప్రాణములను తీయజూచువారి శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగించెదను. అతడు వారియందు అనుగ్రహముంచకయు, వారిని కరుణింపకయు, వారి యెడల జాలిపడకయు వారిని కత్తివాత హతముచేయును.

7. And after this, sayeth the Lord, I will deliuer Zedekiah the King of Iudah, and his seruants, and the people, and such as are left in this citie, from the pestilence, from the sworde and from the famine into the hande of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, and into the hande of their enemies, and into the hande of those that seeke their liues, and he shall smite them with the edge of the sworde: he shall not spare them, neither haue pitie nor compassion.

8. ఈ ప్రజలతో నీవిట్లనుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా జీవమార్గమును మరణమార్గమును నేను మీ యెదుట పెట్టుచున్నాను.

8. And vnto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

9. ఈ పట్టణములో నిలుచువారు కత్తివలన గాని క్షామమువలనగాని తెగులువలనగాని చచ్చెదరు, మేలుచేయుటకుకాదు కీడుచేయుటకే నేను ఈ పట్టణమునకు అభిముఖుడనైతిని గనుక బయటకు వెళ్లి మిమ్మును ముట్టడి వేయుచున్న కల్దీయులకు లోబడువారు బ్రదుకుదురు; దోపుడుసొమ్ము దక్కినట్లుగా వారి ప్రాణము వారికి దక్కును.

9. He that abideth in this citie, shall dye by the sword and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Caldeans, that besiege you, he shall liue, and his life shalbe vnto him for a pray.

10. ఈ పట్టణము బబులోను రాజుచేతికి అప్పగింపబడును, అతడు అగ్నిచేత దాని కాల్చివేయును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

10. For I haue set my face against this citie, for euill and not for good, saith the Lord: it shalbe giuen into the hande of the King of Babel, and he shall burne it with fire.

11. యూదారాజు ఇంటివారలకు ఆజ్ఞ యిదే యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

11. And say vnto the house of the King of Iudah, Heare ye the worde of the Lord.

12. దావీదు వంశస్థులారా, యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు అనుదినము న్యాయముగా తీర్పు తీర్చుడి, దోచుకొనబడినవానిని బాధపెట్టువాని చేతిలోనుండి విడిపించుడి, ఆలాగు చేయనియెడల మీ దుష్టక్రియలనుబట్టి నా క్రోధము అగ్నివలె బయలువెడలి, యెవడును ఆర్పలేకుండ మిమ్మును దహించును.

12. O house of Dauid, thus saith the Lord, Execute iudgement in the morning, and deliuer the oppressed out of the hande of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire and burne, that none can quench it, because of the wickednes of your workes.

13. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేలోయలో నివసించుదానా, మైదానమందలి బండవంటిదానా, మా మీదికి రాగలవాడెవడు, మా నివాసస్థలములలో ప్రవేశించువాడెవడు? అనుకొనువార లారా,

13. Beholde, I come against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rocke of the plaine, saith the Lord, which say, Who shall come downe against vs? or who shall enter into our habitations?

14. మీ క్రియల ఫలములనుబట్టి మిమ్మును దండించెదను, నేను దాని అరణ్యములో అగ్ని రగుల బెట్టెదను, అది దాని చుట్టునున్న ప్రాంతములన్నిటిని కాల్చివేయును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

14. But I will visite you according to the fruite of your workes, saith the Lord, and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall deuoure rounde about it.
