1. రాజైన సిద్కియా మల్కీయా కుమారుడైన పషూరును యాజకుడగు మయశేయా కుమారుడైన జెఫన్యాను పిలిపించి

1. And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

2. బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు మనమీద యుద్ధముచేయుచున్నాడు; అతడు మనయొద్దనుండి వెళ్లి పోవునట్లు యెహోవా తన అద్భుతకార్యములన్నిటిని చూపి మనకు తోడైయుండునో లేదో దయచేసి మా నిమిత్తము యెహోవా చేత నీవు విచారించుమని చెప్పుటకు యిర్మీయాయొద్దకు వారిని పంపగా యెహోవాయొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు.

2. Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have thee sons and daughters in this place.

3. యిర్మీయా వారితో ఇట్లనెను మీరు సిద్కియాతో ఈ మాట చెప్పుడి

3. For thus saith the Lord concerning the sons and daughters, that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bore them: and concerning their fathers, of whom they were born in this land:

4. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు బబులోను రాజుమీదను, మిమ్మును ముట్టడివేయు కల్దీయులమీదను, మీరుపయోగించుచున్న యుద్దాయుధములను ప్రాకారముల బయట నుండి తీసికొని యీ పట్టణము లోపలికి వాటిని పోగు చేయించెదను.

4. They shall die by the death of grievous illnesses: they shall not be lamented, and they shall not be buried, they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed with the sword, and with famine: and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of the air, and for the beasts of the earth.

5. కోపమును రౌద్రమును అత్యుగ్రతయు కలిగినవాడనై, బాహుబలముతోను, చాచిన చేతితోను నేనే మీతో యుద్ధము చేసెదను.

5. For thus saith the Lord: Enter not into the house of feasting, neither go thou to mourn, nor to comfort them: because I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the Lord, my mercy and commiserations.

6. మనుష్యులనేమి పశువులనేమి యీ పట్టణపు నివాసులనందరిని హతము చేసెదను; గొప్ప తెగులుచేత వారు చచ్చెదరు.

6. Both the great and the little shall die in the land: they shall not be buried nor lamented, and men shall not cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.

7. అటు తరువాత నేను యూదాదేశపు రాజైన సిద్కియాను, అతని ఉద్యోగస్థులను, తెగులును ఖడ్గమును క్షామమును తప్పించుకొని శేషించిన ప్రజలను, బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరుచేతికి, వారి ప్రాణములను తీయజూచువారి శత్రువులచేతికి అప్పగించెదను. అతడు వారియందు అనుగ్రహముంచకయు,వారిని కరుణింపకయు,వారి యెడల జాలిపడకయు వారిని కత్తివాత హతముచేయును.
లూకా 21:24

7. And they shall not break bread among them to him that mourneth, to comfort him for the dead: neither shall they give them to drink of the cup, to comfort them for their father and mother.

8. ఈ ప్రజలతో నీవిట్లనుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా జీవమార్గమును మరణమార్గమును నేను మీ యెదుట పెట్టుచున్నాను.

8. And do not thou go into the house of feasting, to sit with them, and to eat and drink.

9. ఈ పట్టణములో నిలుచువారు కత్తివలన గాని క్షామమువలనగాని తెగులువలనగాని చచ్చెదరు, మేలుచేయుటకుకాదు కీడుచేయుటకే నేను ఈ పట్టణమునకు అభిముఖుడనైతిని గనుక బయటకు వెళ్లి మిమ్మును ముట్టడి వేయుచున్న కల్దీయులకు లోబడువారు బ్రదుకుదురు; దోపుడుసొమ్ము దక్కినట్లుగా వారి ప్రాణము వారికి దక్కును.

9. For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold I will take away out of this place in your sight, and in your days the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.

10. ఈ పట్టణము బబులోను రాజుచేతికి అప్పగింపబడును, అతడు అగ్నిచేత దాని కాల్చివేయును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

10. And when thou shalt tell this people all these words, and they shall say to thee: Wherefore hath the Lord pronounced against us all this great evil? what is our iniquity? and what is our sin, that we have sinned against the Lord our God?

11. యూదారాజు ఇంటివారలకు ఆజ్ఞ యిదే యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

11. Thou shalt say to them: Because your fathers forsook me, saith the Lord: and went after strange gods, and served them, and adored them: and they forsook me, and kept not my law.

12. దావీదు వంశస్థులారా, యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు అనుదినము న్యాయముగా తీర్పు తీర్చుడి, దోచుకొనబడినవానిని బాధపెట్టువాని చేతిలోనుండి విడిపించుడి, ఆలాగు చేయనియెడల మీ దుష్టక్రియలనుబట్టి నా క్రోధము అగ్నివలె బయలువెడలి, యెవడును ఆర్పలేకుండ మిమ్మును దహించును.

12. And you also have done worse than your fathers: for behold every one of you walketh after the perverseness of his evil heart, so as not to hearken to me.

13. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదేలోయలో నివసించుదానా, మైదానమందలి బండవంటిదానా, మా మీదికి రాగలవాడెవడు, మా నివాసస్థలములలో ప్రవేశించువాడెవడు? అనుకొనువార లారా,

13. So I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land which you know not, nor you fathers: and there you shall serve strange gods day and night, which shall not give you any rest.

14. మీ క్రియల ఫలములనుబట్టి మిమ్మును దండించెదను, నేను దాని అరణ్యములో అగ్ని రగుల బెట్టెదను, అది దాని చుట్టునున్న ప్రాంతములన్నిటిని కాల్చివేయును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

14. Therefore behold the days come, saith the Lord, when it shall be said no more: The Lord liveth, that brought for the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt:
