1. They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? Would not that land be utterly polluted? But thou hast committed fornication with many lovers; yet return to me, saith Jehovah.

2. చెట్లులేని కొండప్రదేశమువైపు నీ కన్నులెత్తి చూడుము; నీతో ఒకడు శయనింపని స్థలమెక్కడ ఉన్నది? ఎడారి మార్గమున అరబిదేశస్థుడు కాచియుండునట్లుగా నీవు వారికొరకు త్రోవలలో కూర్చుండియున్నావు; నీ వ్యభిచారములచేతను నీ దుష్కార్యములచేతను నీవు దేశమును అపవిత్రపరచుచున్నావు.

2. Lift up thine eyes unto the heights and see, where hast thou not been lain with? In the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arab in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy fornications and with thy wickedness.

3. కావున వానలు కురియక మానెను, కడవరి వర్షము లేకపోయి యున్నది, అయినను నీకు వ్యభిచార స్త్రీ ధైర్యమువంటి ధైర్యము గలదు, సిగ్గు పడనొల్ల కున్నావు.

3. And the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; but thou hast a harlot's forehead, thou refusest to be ashamed.

4. అయినను ఇప్పుడు నీవునా తండ్రీ, చిన్నప్పటినుండి నాకు చెలికాడవు నీవే యని నాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టుచుండవా?

4. Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?

5. ఆయన నిత్యము కోపించునా? నిరంతరము కోపము చూపునా? అని నీవనుకొనినను నీవు చేయదలచిన దుష్కార్యములు చేయుచునే యున్నావు.

5. Will he keep [his anger] for ever? Will he preserve it perpetually? Behold, thou hast spoken and hast done evil things, and thou art [so] determined.

6. మరియు రాజైన యోషీయా దినములలో యెహోవా నాకీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనుద్రోహినియగు ఇశ్రాయేలు చేయుకార్యము నీవు చూచితివా? ఆమె ఉన్నతమైన ప్రతి కొండమీదికిని పచ్చని ప్రతి చెట్టు క్రిందికిని పోవుచు అక్కడ వ్యభిచారము చేయుచున్నది.

6. And Jehovah said unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen what backsliding Israel hath done? She hath gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there haths ommitted fornication.

7. ఆమె యీ క్రియలన్నిటిని చేసినను, ఆమెను నాయొద్దకు తిరిగి రమ్మని నేను సెలవియ్యగా ఆమె తిరిగిరాలేదు. మరియు విశ్వాసఘాతకురాలగు ఆమె సహోదరియైన యూదా దాని చూచెను.

7. And I said, After she hath done all these [things], she will return unto me; but she returned not. And her sister Judah, the treacherous, saw [it].

8. ద్రోహినియగు ఇశ్రాయేలు వ్యభి చారముచేసిన హేతువుచేతనే నేను ఆమెను విడిచిపెట్టి ఆమెకు పరిత్యాగపత్రిక ఇయ్యగా, విశ్వాసఘాతకు రాలగు ఆమె సహోదరియైన యూదా చూచియు తానును భయపడక వ్యభిచారము చేయుచు వచ్చు చున్నది.

8. And I saw that when for all the causes wherein backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce, yet the treacherous Judah, her sister, feared not, but went and committed fornication also.

9. రాళ్లతోను మొద్దులతోను వ్యభిచారము చేసెను; ఆమె నిర్భయముగా వ్యభిచారము చేసి దేశమును అపవిత్రపరచెను.

9. And it came to pass through the lightness of her fornication that she polluted the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

10. ఇంతగా జరిగినను విశ్వాసఘాతకు రాలగు ఆమె సహోదరియైన యూదా పైవేషమునకే గాని తన పూర్ణహృదయముతో నాయొద్దకు తిరుగుట లేదని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

10. And even for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto me with her whole heart, but with falsehood, saith Jehovah.

11. కాగా విశ్వాసఘాతకురాలగు యూదాకంటె ద్రోహినియగు ఇశ్రాయేలు తాను నిర్దోషినియని ఋజువుపరచుకొని యున్నది.

11. And Jehovah said unto me, Backsliding Israel hath shewn herself more just than treacherous Judah.

12. నీవు వెళ్లి ఉత్తరదిక్కున ఈ మాటలు ప్రక టింపుముద్రోహినివగు ఇశ్రాయేలూ, తిరిగిరమ్ము; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. మీమీద నా కోపము పడనీయను, నేను కృపగలవాడను గనుక నేనెల్లప్పుడు కోపించువాడను కాను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

12. Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith Jehovah: I will not make my face dark upon you; for I am merciful, saith Jehovah; I will not keep [anger] for ever.

13. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేయుచు, నా మాటను అంగీకరింపక ప్రతి పచ్చని చెట్టు క్రింద అన్యులతో కలిసి కొనుటకు నీవు ఇటు అటు పోయిన నీ దోషము ఒప్పుకొనుము; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against Jehovah thy God, and hast turned thy ways hither and thither to the strangers under every green tree; and ye have not hearkened to my voice, saith Jehovah.

14. భ్రష్టులగు పిల్లలారా, తిరిగిరండి, నేను మీ యజమానుడను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు ఒకానొక పట్టణములోనుండి ఒకనిగాను, ఒకానొక కుటుంబములోనుండి ఇద్దరినిగాను మిమ్మును తీసికొని సీయోనునకు రప్పించెదను.

14. Return, backsliding children, saith Jehovah; for I am a husband unto you, and I will take you, one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion.

15. నాకిష్టమైన కాపరులను మీకు నియమింతును, వారు జ్ఞానముతోను వివేకముతోను మిమ్ము నేలుదురు.

15. And I will give you shepherds according to my heart, and they shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

16. మీరు ఆ దేశములో అభివృద్ధి పొంది విస్తరించు దినములలో జనులుయెహోవా నిబంధన మందసమని ఇకను చెప్పరు, అది వారి మనస్సు లోనికి రాదు, దానిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనరు, అది పోయి నందుకు చింతపడరు, ఇకమీదట దాని చేయరాదు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

16. And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied in the land and become fruitful, in those days, saith Jehovah, they shall say no more, Ark of the covenant of Jehovah! neither shall it come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit [it]; neither shall it be done any more.

17. ఆ కాలమునయెహోవాయొక్క సింహాసనమని యెరూషలేమునకు పేరు పెట్టెదరు; జనము లన్నియు తమ దుష్టమనస్సులో పుట్టు మూర్ఖత్వము చొప్పున నడుచుకొనక యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి యెరూషలేమునకు గుంపులుగా కూడి వచ్చెదరు.

17. At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of Jehovah; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of Jehovah, to Jerusalem; and they shall no more walk after the stubbornness of their evil heart.

18. ఆ దినములలో యూదావంశస్థులును ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశస్థులును కలిసి ఉత్తరదేశములోనుండి ప్రయాణమై, మీ పితరులకు నేను స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చిన దేశమునకు వచ్చెదరు.

18. In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel; and they shall come together out of the land of the north, to the land which I caused your fathers to inherit.

19. నేను బిడ్డలలో నిన్నెట్లు ఉంచుకొని, రమ్య దేశమును జనముల స్వాస్థ్యములలో రాజకీయ స్వాస్థ్యమును నేనెట్లు నీకిచ్చెదననుకొని యుంటిని. నీవునా తండ్రీ అని నాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టి నన్ను మానవనుకొంటిని గదా?

19. And as for me, I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee the pleasant land, the goodly inheritance of the hosts of the nations? And I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following me.

20. అయినను స్త్రీ తన పురుషునికి విశ్వాసఘాతకురాలగునట్లుగా ఇశ్రాయేలు వంశస్థులారా, నిశ్చయముగా మీరును నాకు విశ్వాస ఘాతకులైతిరి; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

20. Surely [as] a woman treacherously departeth from her companion, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah.

21. ఆలకించుడి, చెట్లులేని మెట్టలమీద ఒక స్వరము వినబడుచున్నది; ఆలకించుడి, తాము దుర్మార్గులై తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను మరచినదానిని బట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు చేయు రోదన విజ్ఞాపనములు వినబడుచున్నవి.

21. A voice is heard upon the heights, the weeping supplications of the children of Israel; for they have perverted their way, they have forgotten Jehovah their God.

22. భ్రష్టులైన బిడ్డలారా, తిరిగి రండి;మీ అవిశ్వాసమును నేను బాగుచేసెదను; నీవే మాదేవుడవైనయెహోవావు, నీయొద్దకే మేము వచ్చు చున్నాము,

22. -- Return, backsliding children; I will heal your backslidings. ...Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art Jehovah our God.

23. నిశ్చయముగా కొండలమీద జరిగినది మోసకరము, పర్వతములమీద చేసిన ఘోష నిష్‌ప్రయోజనము, నిశ్చయముగా మా దేవుడైన యెహోవావలన ఇశ్రాయేలునకు రక్షణ కలుగును.

23. Truly in vain [is salvation looked for] from the hills, [and] the multitude of mountains; truly in Jehovah our God is the salvation of Israel.

24. అయినను మా బాల్యమునుండి లజ్జాకరమైన దేవత మా పితరుల కష్టార్జితమును, వారి గొఱ్ఱెలను వారి పశువులను వారి కుమారులను వారి కుమార్తెలను మింగివేయుచున్నది.

24. But shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.

25. సిగ్గునొందినవారమై సాగిలపడుదము రండి, మనము కనబడకుండ అవమానము మనలను మరుగుచేయును గాక; మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట వినక మనమును మన పితరులును మన బాల్యమునుండి నేటివరకు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేసినవారము.

25. We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us; for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah our God.
