1. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియా యేలుబడి పదియవ సంవత్సరమున, అనగా నెబుకద్రెజరు ఏలుబడి పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున యెహోవాయొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమైన వాక్కు.

1. This is the word that came to Yirmeyahu from ADONAI in the tenth year of Tzidkiyahu king of Y'hudah, which was the eighteenth year of N'vukhadretzar.

2. ఆ కాలమున బబులోనురాజు దండు యెరూషలేమునకు ముట్టడి వేయుచుండగా సిద్కియా యిర్మీయాతో చెప్పినదేమనగా యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆలోచించుడి, ఈ పట్టణమును బబులోనురాజు చేతికి నేను అప్పగించుచున్నాను, అతడు దాని పట్టుకొనును,

2. At that time the army of the king of Bavel was besieging Yerushalayim; and Yirmeyahu the prophet was imprisoned in the guards' quarters attached to the king of Y'hudah's palace,

3. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియా కల్దీయుల చేతిలోనుండి తప్పించుకొనక బబులోనురాజు చేతికి నిశ్చయముగా అప్పగింపబడును, సిద్కియా అతనితో ముఖాముఖిగా మాటలాడును, కన్నులార అతనిచూచును,

3. where Tzidkiyahu king of Y'hudah had imprisoned him after demanding, 'How dare you prophesy that ADONAI says, 'I will hand this city over to the king of Bavel, and he will capture it;

4. అతడు సిద్కియాను బబులోనునకు కొనిపోవును, నేను అతని దర్శించువరకు అతడక్కడనే యుండును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు;

4. Tzidkiyahu king of Y'hudah will not escape from the Kasdim but will certainly be handed over to the king of Bavel, who will address him face to face, with their eyes meeting;

5. మీరు కల్దీయులతో యుద్ధము చేసినను మీరు జయము నొందరు, అను మాటలు నీవేల ప్రకటించుచున్నావని యిర్మీయాతో చెప్పి అతనిని చెరలో వేయించి యుండెను; కాగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యూదా రాజు మందిరములోనున్న చెరసాల ప్రాకారములో ఉంచబడియుండెను.

5. and he will lead Tzidkiyahu to Bavel, where he will stay until I remember him,' says ADONAI, 'and even if you fight the Kasdim, you will fail'?'

6. అంతట యిర్మీయా ఇట్లనెను యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

6. Yirmeyahu said, 'This word of ADONAI came to me:

7. నీ తండ్రి తోడబుట్టిన షల్లూము కుమారుడగు హనమేలు నీయొద్దకు వచ్చి అనాతోతులోనున్న నా భూమిని కొనుటకు విమోచకుని ధర్మము నీదే, దాని కొనుక్కొనుమని చెప్పును.

7. 'Hanam'el, the son of your uncle Shalum, will approach you and say, 'Buy my field at 'Anatot; you have next-of-kin's right to redeem it; so buy it.'''

8. కావున నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హన మేలు యెహోవా మాటచొప్పున చెరసాల ప్రాకారములోనున్న నాయొద్దకు వచ్చిబెన్యామీను దేశమందలి అనాతోతులోనున్న నా భూమిని దయచేసి కొనుము, దానికి వారసుడవు నీవే, దాని విమోచనము నీవలననే జరుగవలెను, దాని కొనుక్కొనుమని నాతో అనగా, అది యెహోవా వాక్కు అని నేను తెలిసికొని

8. AS[ ADONAI] had said, my cousin Hanam'el came to me in the guards' quarters and said, 'Please buy my field at 'Anatot, in the territory of Binyamin; because you will inherit it, and you have next-of-kin's right to redeem it, so buy it for yourself.' Then I was certain that this was ADONAI's word.

9. నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హనమేలు పొలమును కొని, పదియేడు తులముల వెండి తూచి ఆతనికిచ్చితిని.

9. So I bought the field at 'Anatot which belonged to my cousin Hanam'el and weighed out the money for him, seven ounces of silver [shekel]s.

10. నేను క్రయ పత్రము వ్రాసి ముద్రవేసి సాక్షులను పిలిపించి త్రాసుతో ఆ వెండి తూచి

10. I signed on the purchase contract, sealed it, called witnesses and weighed out the money for him on a balance scale.

11. క్రయపత్రమును, అనగా ముద్రగల విడుదల కైకోలును ఒడంబడికను ముద్రలేని విడుదల కైకోలును ఒడంబడికను తీసికొంటిని.

11. I took the purchase contract, both the sealed copy with the terms and conditions, and the unsealed copy,

12. అప్పుడు నా తండ్రి తోడబుట్టినవాని కుమారుడైన హనమేలు ఎదుటను, ఆ క్రయపత్రములో చేవ్రాలు చేసిన సాక్షుల యెదుటను, చెరసాల ప్రాకారములో కూర్చున్న యూదు లందరియెదుటను, నేను మహ సేయా కుమారుడగు నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకునకు ఆ క్రయపత్రమును అప్పగించి వారి కన్నుల యెదుట బారూకునకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించి తిని.

12. and gave the purchase contract to Barukh the son of Neriyah, the son of Machseyah, in the presence of my cousin Hanam'el, the witnesses who had signed the purchase contract and the people from Y'hudah sitting by the guards' quarters.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

13. In their presence I instructed Barukh as follows:

14. ఈ పత్రములను, అనగా ముద్రగల యీ క్రయపత్రమును ముద్రలేని క్రయపత్రమును, నీవు తీసికొని అవి బహుదినములుండునట్లు మంటికుండలో వాటిని దాచిపెట్టుము.

14. 'Here is what [ADONAI-Tzva'ot], the God of Isra'el, says: 'Take these contracts, both the sealed and unsealed copies, and place them in a clay jar, so that they can be preserved for a long time.'

15. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఇండ్లును పొలములును ద్రాక్షతోటలును ఇంక ఈ దేశములో కొనబడును.

15. For [ADONAI-Tzva'ot], the God of Isra'el, says that one day homes, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land.'

16. నేరీయా కుమారుడైన బారూకుచేతికి ఆ క్రయ పత్రమును నేనప్పగించిన తరువాత యెహోవాకు ఈలాగున ప్రార్థన చేసితిని

16. After giving the purchase contract to Barukh son of Neriyah, I prayed to ADONAI:

17. యెహోవా, ప్రభువా సైన్య ములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా అను పేరు వహించువాడా, శూరుడా, మహాదేవా, నీ యధికబలముచేతను చాచిన బాహువుచేతను భూమ్యాకాశములను సృజించితివి, నీకు అసాధ్యమైనదేదియు లేదు.

17. 'ADONAI, God! You made heaven and earth by your great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too hard for you.

18. నీవు వేవేలమందికి కృపచూపుచు, తండ్రుల దోషమును వారి తరువాత వారి పిల్లల ఒడిలో వేయువాడవు.

18. You display your grace to thousands but also repay the guilt of the fathers into the lap of their children who follow them. Great, powerful God, whose name is [ADONAI-Tzva'ot],

19. ఆలోచన విషయములో నీవే గొప్పవాడవు, క్రియలు జరిగించు విషయములో శక్తి సంపన్నుడవు, వారి ప్రవర్తనలనుబట్టియు వారి క్రియాఫలమును బట్టియు అందరికి ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చుటకై నరపుత్రుల మార్గములన్నిటిని నీవు కన్నులార చూచుచున్నావు.

19. great in counsel, mighty in deed! Your eyes are open to all the ways of human beings in order to repay each one according to his ways, according to the consequences of what he does.

20. నీవు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో చేసినట్టు నేటివరకు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి మధ్యను ఇతర మనుష్యుల మధ్యను సూచక క్రియలను మహత్కార్యములను చేయుచు నేటి వలె నీకు కీర్తి తెచ్చుకొనుచున్నావు.

20. You gave signs and performed miracles in the land of Egypt which continue to this day, also in Isra'el and among other people; thus you made yourself the reputation you have today.

21. సూచక క్రియలను మహత్కార్యములను జరిగించుచు మహా బలముకలిగి, చాపిన చేతులు గలవాడవై మహాభయము పుట్టించి, ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి నీ ప్రజలను రప్పించి

21. You brought your people of Isra'el out of the land of Egypt with signs and miracles, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.

22. మీ కిచ్చెదనని వారి పితరులకు ప్రమాణముచేసి, పాలు తేనెలు ప్రవహించు ఈ దేశమును వారి కిచ్చితివి.

22. Then you gave them this land, which you had sworn to their ancestors that you would give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.

23. వారు ప్రవేశించి దాని స్వతంత్రించుకొనిరి గాని నీ మాట వినకపోయిరి, నీ ధర్మశాస్త్రము ననుసరింపకపోయిరి. వారు చేయవలె నని నీవాజ్ఞాపించినవాటిలో దేనిని చేయకపోయిరి గనుక ఈ కీడంతయు వారిమీదికి రప్పించియున్నావు.

23. They entered and took possession of it; but they did not pay attention to your voice, did not live according to your [Torah], and did nothing of all you ordered them to do. Therefore you made this complete disaster befall them-

24. ముట్టడి దిబ్బలను చూడుము, పట్టణమును పట్టుకొనుటకు అవి దానికి సమీపించుచున్నవి, ఖడ్గము క్షామము తెగులు వచ్చుటవలన దానిమీద యుద్ధముచేయుచుండు కల్దీయుల చేతికి ఈ పట్టణము అప్పగింపబడును; నీవు సెలవిచ్చినది సంభవించెను, నీవే దాని చూచుచున్నావు గదా?

24. the siege-works are already there; they have come to the city to capture it; and the city, by means of sword, famine and plague, is being handed over to the Kasdim fighting against it. What you foretold is being fulfilled; here, you see it, yourself.

25. యెహోవా ప్రభువాధనమిచ్చి యీ పొలమును కొను క్కొని సాక్షులను పిలుచుకొనుమని నీవే నాతో సెల విచ్చితివి, అయితే ఈ పట్టణము కల్దీయుల చేతికి అప్పగింప బడుచున్నది.

25. Yet you, ADONAI, God, have said to me, 'Buy the field for money, and call witnesses; even as the city is being turned over to the Kasdim!''

26. అంతట యెహోవావాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

26. Then this word of ADONAI came to Yirmeyahu:

27. నేను యెహోవాను, సర్వశరీ రులకు దేవుడను, నాకు అసాధ్యమైనదేదైన నుండునా?

27. 'Look, I am ADONAI, the God of every living creature; is there anything too hard for me?

28. కావున యెహోవా ఈమాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఇదిగో నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కల్దీయుల చేతికిని బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు చేతికిని అప్పగింపబోవు చున్నాను; అతడు దాని పట్టుకొనగా

28. Therefore, here is what ADONAI says: 'I will hand this city over to the Kasdim and to N'vukhadretzar king of Bavel; and he will capture it.

29. ఈ పట్టణము మీద యుద్ధముచేయు కల్దీయులు వచ్చి, యీ పట్టణమునకు అగ్ని ముట్టించి, యే మిద్దెలమీద జనులు బయలునకు ధూపార్పణచేసి అన్యదేవతలకు పానార్పణములనర్పించి నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరో ఆ మిద్దెలన్నిటిని కాల్చివేసె దరు.

29. The Kasdim who are fighting against this city will enter and set this city on fire; they will burn it down, including its houses, on whose roofs they offered to Ba'al and poured out drink offerings to other gods, in order to make me angry.

30. ఏలయనగా ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదావారును తమ బాల్యము మొదలుకొని నాయెదుట చెడుతనమే చేయుచు వచ్చుచున్నారు, తమ చేతుల క్రియవలన వారు నాకు కోపమే పుట్టించువారు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

30. For from their youth, the people of Isra'el and the people of Y'hudah have done only what is evil from my perspective; the people of Isra'el have done nothing but provoke me with what their hands make,' says ADONAI.

31. నా కోపము రేపుటకు ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదా వారును వారి రాజులును వారి ప్రధానులును వారి యాజకులును వారి ప్రవక్తలును యూదా జనులును యెరూషలేము నివాసులును చూపిన దుష్‌ప్రవర్తన అంతటినిబట్టి,

31. 'This city has so provoked my anger and fury from the day they built it to this day that I ought to remove it from my presence,

32. నా యెదుటనుండి వారి దుష్‌ప్రవర్తనను నేను నివారణచేయ ఉద్దేశించునట్లు, వారు ఈ పట్టణమును కట్టిన దినము మొదలుకొని ఇదివరకును అది నాకు కోపము పుట్టించుటకు కారణమాయెను.

32. because of all the evil that the people of Isra'el and the people of Y'hudah have done in order to make me angry- they, their kings, their leaders, their [cohanim], their prophets, the men of Y'hudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.

33. నేను పెందలకడ లేచి వారికి బోధించినను వారు నా బోధ నంగీకరింపక పోయిరి, వారు నా తట్టు ముఖము త్రిప్పుకొనక వీపునే త్రిప్పుకొనిరి.

33. They have turned their backs on me, not their faces; and although I taught them, taught them frequently, they have not listened so as to receive instruction.

34. మరియు నా పేరు పెట్టబడిన మందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచుటకు దానిలో హేయమైనవాటిని పెట్టిరి.

34. Instead they put their detestable idols in the house that bears my name, to defile it;

35. వారు తమ కుమారులను కుమార్తెలను ప్రతిష్టింపవలెనని బెన్‌ హిన్నోము లోయలోనున్న బయలునకు బలిపీఠము లను కట్టించిరి, ఆలాగు చేయుటకు నేను వారి కాజ్ఞాపింప లేదు, యూదావారు పాపములో పడి, యెవరైన నిట్టి హేయక్రియలు చేయుదురన్నమాట నా కెన్నడును తోచలేదు.

35. and they built the high places for Ba'al which are in the Ben-Hinnom Valley, to burn alive their sons and daughters to Molekh- something I did not order them to do, it never even entered my mind that they would do such an abominable thing- and thus they caused Y'hudah to sin.'

36. కావున ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఈ పట్టణ మునుగూర్చి యీ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు అది ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను తెగులుచేతను పీడింపబడినదై బబులోనురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడునని మీరీ పట్టణమును గూర్చి చెప్పుచున్నారు గదా.

36. 'Therefore, thus says ADONAI the God of Isra'el concerning this city, of which you say that it is handed over to the king of Bavel by sword, famine and plague:

37. ఇదిగో నాకు కలిగిన కోపోద్రేకముచేతను మహా రౌద్రముచేతను నేను వారిని వెళ్లగొట్టిన దేశములన్నిటిలోనుండి వారిని సమకూర్చి యీ స్థలమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించి వారిని నిర్భయముగా నివసింపజేసెదను.

37. 'I will gather them out of all the countries where I drove them in my anger, fury and great wrath; and I will bring them back to this place and have them live here in safety.

38. వారు నాకు ప్రజలైయుందురు నేను వారికి దేవుడనై యుందును.

38. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

39. మరియు వారికిని వారి కుమారులకును మేలు కలుగుటకై వారు నిత్యము నాకు భయపడునట్లు నేను వారికి ఏకహృదయమును ఏక మార్గమును దయచేయుదును.

39. I will give them singleness of heart and singleness of purpose, so that they will fear me forever- this will be for their own good and for the good of their children after them.

40. నేను వారికి మేలు చేయుట మానకుండునట్లు నిత్యమైన నిబంధనను వారితో చేయు చున్నాను; వారు నన్ను విడువకుండునట్లు వారి హృదయములలో నా యెడల భయభక్తులు పుట్టించెదను.

40. I will make with them an everlasting covenant not to turn away from them, but to do them good; I will put fear of me in their hearts, so that they will not leave me.

41. వారికి మేలుచేయుటకు వారియందు ఆనందించుచున్నాను, నా పూర్ణహృదయముతోను నా పూర్ణాత్మతోను ఈ దేశములో నిశ్చయముగా వారిని నాటెదను.

41. I will take joy in them, so as to do them good. I will plant them in this land truly, with my whole heart and being.'

42. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునేెెను ఈ ప్రజలమీదికి ఇంత గొప్ప కీడు రప్పించిన రీతినే నేను వారినిగూర్చి చెప్పిన మేలంత టిని వారిమీదికి రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను.

42. For here is what ADONAI says: 'Just as I have brought this complete disaster on this people, so likewise I will bring on them all the good I have promised them.

43. ఇది పాడై పోయెను, దానిలో నరులు లేరు, పశువులు లేవు, ఇది కల్దీయులచేతికి ఇయ్యబడియున్నదని మీరు చెప్పుచున్న ఈ దేశమున పొలములు విక్రయింపబడును.

43. Fields will be bought in this land, even though you say about it that it is desolate, devoid of human beings or animals, and given over to the Kasdim.

44. నేను వారిలో చెరపోయినవారిని రప్పింపబోవుచున్నాను గనుక బెన్యామీను దేశములోను యెరూషలేము ప్రాంతములలోను యూదా పట్టణములలోను మన్యములోని పట్టణములలోను దక్షిణదేశపు పట్టణములలోను మనుష్యులు క్రయమిచ్చి పొలములు కొందురు, క్రయపత్రములు వ్రాయించుకొందురు, ముద్రవేయుదురు, సాక్షులను పెట్టుదురు; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

44. Yes, people will buy fields for money, sign the purchase contracts, seal them and call witnesses, in the territory of Binyamin, in the areas around Yerushalayim, in the cities of Y'hudah, in the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the Sh'felah and in the cities of the Negev. For I will cause their exiles to return,' says ADONAI.'
