1. యోషీయా కుమారుడును యూదారాజునైన యెహోయాకీము దినములలో యెహోవా యొద్దనుండి యిర్మీయాకు వాక్కు ప్రత్యక్షమై

1. The Message that Jeremiah received from GOD ten years earlier, during the time of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Israel:

2. నీవు రేకాబీయుల యొద్దకు పోయి వారితో మాటలాడి, యెహోవా మందిరములోని గదులలో ఒకదానిలోనికి వారిని తోడుకొని వచ్చి, త్రాగుటకు వారికి ద్రాక్షారసమిమ్మని సెలవియ్యగా

2. 'Go visit the Recabite community. Invite them to meet with you in one of the rooms in GOD's Temple. And serve them wine.'

3. నేను, యిర్మీయా కుమారుడును యజన్యా మనుమడునైన హబజ్జిన్యాను అతని సహోదరులను అతని కుమారులనందరిని, అనగా రేకాబీయుల కుటుంబికులనందరిని, తోడుకొని వచ్చితిని.

3. So I went and got Jaazaniah son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, along with all his brothers and sons--the whole community of the Recabites as it turned out--

4. యెహోవా మందిరములో దైవజనుడగు యిగ్దల్యా కుమారుడైన హానాను కుమారుల గదిలోనికి వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చితిని. అది రాజుల గదికి సమీపమున ద్వారపాలకుడును షల్లూము కుమారుడునైన మయశేయా గదికి పైగా ఉండెను.

4. and brought them to GOD's Temple and to the meeting room of Hanan son of Igdaliah, a man of God. It was next to the meeting room of the Temple officials and just over the apartment of Maaseiah son of Shallum, who was in charge of Temple affairs.

5. నేను రేకాబీయుల యెదుట ద్రాక్షారసముతో నిండిన పాత్రలను గిన్నెలను పెట్టిద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుడని వారితో చెప్పగా

5. Then I set out chalices and pitchers of wine for the Recabites and said, 'A toast! Drink up!'

6. వారుమా పితరుడగు రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనా దాబుమీరైనను మీ సంతతివారైనను ఎప్పుడును ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగకూడదని మాకాజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక మేము ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగము.

6. But they wouldn't do it. 'We don't drink wine,' they said. 'Our ancestor Jonadab son of Recab commanded us, 'You are not to drink wine, you or your children, ever.

7. మరియు మీరు ఇల్లు కట్టు కొనవద్దు, విత్తనములు విత్తవద్దు, ద్రాక్షతోట నాటవద్దు, అది మీకుండనేకూడదు; మీరు పరవాసముచేయు దేశములో దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతులగునట్లు మీ దినములన్నియు గుడారములలోనే మీరు నివసింపవలెనని అతడు మాకాజ్ఞాపించెను.

7. Neither shall you build houses or settle down, planting fields and gardens and vineyards. Don't own property. Live in tents as nomads so that you will live well and prosper in a wandering life.'

8. కావున మా పితరుడైన రేకాబు కుమారుడగు యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్త విషయములలో అతని మాటనుబట్టి మేముగాని మా భార్యలుగాని మా కుమారులుగాని మా కుమార్తెలుగాని ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుటలేదు.

8. 'And we've done it, done everything Jonadab son of Recab commanded. We and our wives, our sons and daughters, drink no wine at all.

9. మా తండ్రియైన యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమునుబట్టి మేము విధేయులమగు నట్లుగా కాపురమునకు ఇండ్లు కట్టుకొనుటలేదు, ద్రాక్షా వనములుగాని పొలములుగాని సంపాదించుటలేదు, విత్తనమైనను చల్లుటలేదు

9. We don't build houses. We don't have vineyards or fields or gardens.

10. గుడారములలోనే నివసించు చున్నాము.

10. We live in tents as nomads. We've listened to our ancestor Jonadab and we've done everything he commanded us.

11. అయితే బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు ఈ దేశములో ప్రవేశింపగా కల్దీయుల దండునకును సిరియనుల దండునకును భయపడి, మనము యెరూషలేమునకు పోదము రండని మేము చెప్పుకొంటిమి గనుక మేము యెరూషలేములో కాపురమున్నామని చెప్పిరి.

11. 'But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded our land, we said, 'Let's go to Jerusalem and get out of the path of the Chaldean and Aramean armies, find ourselves a safe place.' That's why we're living in Jerusalem right now.'

12. అంతట యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యిలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

12. Then Jeremiah received this Message from GOD:

13. నీవు వెళ్లి యూదావారికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులకును ఈ మాట ప్రకటింపుము యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే. మీరు శిక్షకు లోబడి నా మాటలను ఆలకింపరా? యిదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. 'GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel, wants you to go tell the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem that I say, 'Why won't you learn your lesson and do what I tell you?' GOD's Decree.

14. ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగవద్దని రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనాదాబు తన కుమారుల కాజ్ఞాపించిన మాటలు స్థిరముగా ఉన్నవి, నేటివరకు తమ పితరుని ఆజ్ఞకు విధేయులై వారు ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగకున్నారు; అయితే నేను పెందలకడ లేచి మీతో బహుశ్రద్ధగా మాటలాడి నను మీరు నా మాట వినకున్నారు.

14. 'The commands of Jonadab son of Recab to his sons have been carried out to the letter. He told them not to drink wine, and they haven't touched a drop to this very day. They honored and obeyed their ancestor's command. But look at you! I have gone to a lot of trouble to get your attention, and you've ignored me.

15. మరియు పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులనందరిని మీయొద్దకు పంపుచు ప్రతివాడును తన దుర్మార్గతను విడిచి మీ క్రియలను చక్కపరచుకొనినయెడలను, అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరింపకయు వాటిని పూజింపకయు నుండినయెడలను, నేను మీకును మీ పితరులకును ఇచ్చిన దేశములో మీరు నివసింతురని నేను ప్రకటిం చితిని గాని మీరు చెవియొగ్గక నా మాట వినకపోతిరి

15. I sent prophet after prophet to you, all of them my servants, to tell you from early morning to late at night to change your life, make a clean break with your evil past and do what is right, to not take up with every Tom, Dick, and Harry of a god that comes down the pike, but settle down and be faithful in this country I gave your ancestors. ''And what do I get from you? Deaf ears.

16. రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనా దాబు కుమారులు తమ తండ్రి తమకిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞను నెరవేర్చిరి గాని యీ ప్రజలు నా మాట వినకయున్నారు.

16. The descendants of Jonadab son of Recab carried out to the letter what their ancestor commanded them, but this people ignores me.'

17. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నేను వారితో మాటలాడితిని గాని వారు వినకపోయిరి, నేను వారిని పిలిచితిని గాని వారు ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యకపోయిరి గనుక యూదావారి మీదికిని యెరూషలేము నివాసులందరి మీదికిని రప్పించెదనని నేను చెప్పిన కీడంతయు వారిమీదికి రప్పించుచున్నాను.

17. 'So here's what is going to happen. GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel, says, 'I will bring calamity down on the heads of the people of Judah and Jerusalem--the very calamity I warned you was coming--because you turned a deaf ear when I spoke, turned your backs when I called.''

18. మరియు యిర్మీయా రేకాబీయులను చూచి యిట్లనెను ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీరు మీ తండ్రియైన యెహోనాదాబు ఆజ్ఞకు విధేయులై అతని విధులన్నిటిని గైకొని అతడు మికాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమును అనుసరించుచున్నారు.

18. Then, turning to the Recabite community, Jeremiah said, 'And this is what GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel, says to you: Because you have done what Jonadab your ancestor told you, obeyed his commands and followed through on his instructions,

19. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా సన్నిధిలో నిలుచుటకు రేకాబు కుమారుడైన యెహోనాదాబునకు సంతతివాడు ఎన్నడునుండక మానడు.

19. receive this Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel: There will always be a descendant of Jonadab son of Recab at my service! Always!''
