1. యూదారాజైన సిద్కియా యేలుబడియందు తొమ్మిదవ సంవత్సరము పదియవ నెలలో బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు తన సమస్త సైన్యముతో యెరూషలేము మీదికి వచ్చిదాని ముట్టడివేయగా

1. In the ninth year of Tzidkiyahu king of Y'hudah, in the tenth month, N'vukhadretzar king of Bavel marched against Yerushalayim with his entire army and began to lay siege against it.

2. సిద్కియా యేలు బడియందు పదకొండవ సంవత్సరము నాలుగవ నెల తొమ్మిదవ దినమున పట్టణ ప్రాకారములు పడగొట్టబడెను.

2. On the ninth day of the fourth month of the eleventh year of Tzidkiyahu, they broke through into the city.

3. యెరూషలేము పట్టబడగా అధిపతులందరు, నేర్గల్‌షరేజరు సవ్గుర్నెబో షండుల కధిపతియగు శర్సెకీము, జ్ఞానులకధిపతియగు నేర్గల్‌షరేజరు మొదలైన బబులోనురాజు అధిపతులందరు లోపలికి వచ్చి మధ్యగుమ్మములో కూర్చుండిరి.

3. All the officers of the king of Bavel entered and sat at the Middle Gate- Nergal-Sar'etzer, Samgar-N'vo, Sars'khim the Rav-Saris, Nergal-Sar'etzer the Rav-Mag and all the other officers of the king of Bavel.

4. యూదులరాజైన సిద్కియాయు అతని యోధులందరును వారినిచూచి పారిపోయి, రాజు తోటమార్గమున రెండు గోడల మధ్యనున్న గుమ్మపుమార్గమున పోయిరి గాని రాజు మైదానపు మార్గమున వెళ్లిపోయెను.

4. When Tzidkiyahu the king of Y'hudah and all the soldiers saw them, they fled, leaving the city by night through the king's garden, exiting from the gate between the two walls, and continuing out by the route through the 'Aravah.

5. But the army of the Kasdim went in pursuit of them and overtook Tzidkiyahu on the plains near Yericho. Upon capturing him, they brought him up to N'vukhadretzar king of Bavel at Rivlah, in the land of Hamat, where he passed judgment on him.

6. బబులోనురాజు రిబ్లా పట్టణములో సిద్కియా కుమారులను అతని కన్నులయెదుట చంపించెను, మరియు బబులోనురాజు యూదా ప్రధానులందరిని చంపించెను.

6. The king of Bavel slaughtered the sons of Tzidkiyahu before his eyes in Rivlah; the king of Bavel also slaughtered all the leading men of Y'hudah.

7. Then he put out Tzidkiyahu's eyes and bound him in chains to be carried off to Bavel.

8. The Kasdim burned down the royal palace and the people's houses, and they broke down the walls of Yerushalayim.

9. అప్పుడు రాజదేహ సంరక్షకుల కధిపతియగు నెబూజరదాను శేషించి పట్టణములో నిలిచి యున్న ప్రజలను, ద్రోహులై తమ రాజును విడిచి తనతో చేరినవారిని, శేషించిన ప్రజలనందరిని బబులోనునకు కొనిపోయెను.

9. N'vuzar'adan commander of the guard then deported to Bavel the remaining population of the city, the deserters who had defected to him, and the rest of the people remaining.

10. అయితే రాజదేహసంరక్షకుల కధిపతి యైన నెబూజరదాను లేమిగల దరిద్రులను యూదాదేశములో నుండనిచ్చి, వారికి ద్రాక్షతోటలను పొలములను నియమించెను.

10. But N'vuzar'adan the commander of the guard left behind in the territory of Y'hudah some of the poor people, those who had nothing, and at the same time gave them vineyards and fields.

11. మరియు యిర్మీయాను గూర్చి బబులోను రాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు రాజదేహ సంరక్షకులకు అధిపతియగు నెబూజరదానునకు

11. Concerning Yirmeyahu, N'vukhadretzar king of Bavel gave N'vuzar'adan the commander of the guard this order:

12. 'Take him, look after him well, and do him no harm, but treat him as he tells you.'

13. So N'vuzar'adan the commander of the guard, N'vushazban the Rav-Saris, Nergal-Sar'etzer the Rav-Mag, and all the chief officers of the king of Bavel

14. బందీగృహశాలలోనుండి యిర్మీయాను తెప్పించి, అతనిని యింటికి తోడుకొనిపోవుటకు షాఫాను కుమారు డైన అహీకాము కుమారుడగు గెదల్యాకు అతని నప్పగించిరి, అప్పుడతడు ప్రజలమధ్య నివాసముచేసెను.

14. sent to have Yirmeyahu taken out of the guards' quarters; they committed him to the care of G'dalyahu the son of Achikam, the son of Shafan, to be brought home. There he lived among the people.

15. This word of ADONAI came to Yirmeyahu while he was imprisoned in the guards' quarters:

16. నీవు వెళ్లి కూషీయుడగు ఎబెద్మెలెకుతో ఇట్లనుము ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మేలు చేయుటకైకాక కీడుచేయుటకై నేను ఈ పట్టణమునుగూర్చి చెప్పిన మాటలు నెర వేర్చుచున్నాను; నీవు చూచుచుండగా ఆ మాటలు ఆ దిన మున నెరవేరును.

16. Go and tell 'Eved-Melekh the Ethiopian that [ADONAI-Tzva'ot], the God of Isra'el, says: ''I am about to fulfill my words about this city for disaster, not for good; when the day arrives, they will come true before your eyes.

17. ఆ దినమున నేను నిన్ను విడిపించెదను, నీవు భయపడు మనుష్యులచేతికి నీవు అప్పగింపబడవని యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు.

17. But at that time I will rescue you,' says ADONAI, 'and I will not hand you over to the men you fear.

18. నీవు నన్ను నమ్ము కొంటివి గనుక నిశ్చయముగా నేను నిన్ను తప్పించెదను, నీవు ఖడ్గముచేత పడవు, దోపుడుసొమ్ము దక్కించుకొను నట్లు నీ ప్రాణమును నీవు దక్కించుకొందువు; ఇదేయెహోవా వాక్కు.

18. Yes, I will keep you safe; you will not fall by the sword, but you will escape with your life, because you have put your trust in me,' says ADONAI.''
