1. అంతలో సేనాధిపతులందరును కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును హోషేయా కుమారుడైన యెజన్యాయును, అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి ప్రజలందరును ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా యొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరి

1. Then drew near all the captains of the forces, and Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest;

2. మేము ఎంత కొంచెము మంది మిగిలియున్నామో నీవు చూచుచున్నావు గదా? చిత్తగించి మా విన్నపమును నీ సన్నిధికి రానిచ్చి, శేషించియున్న మా యందరి నిమిత్తము నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు ప్రార్థనచేయుము.

2. and said unto Jeremiah the prophet Let our supplication we beseech thee fall prostrate before thee, and pray thou in our behalf unto Yahweh thy God, in behalf of all this remnant, for we are left a few out of many, just as thine own eyes do behold us:

3. మేము నడవవలసిన మార్గమును చేయవలసిన కార్యమును నీ దేవుడగు యెహోవా మాకు తెలియజేయునుగాక.

3. that Yahweh thy God may tell us the way wherein we should walk, and the thing that we should do.

4. కాగా ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా వారికుత్తరమిచ్చినదేమనగా మీరు చేసిన మనవి నేనంగీకరించుచున్నాను, మీ మాటలనుబట్టి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవాను నేను ప్రార్థించుదును, ఏమియు మీకు మరుగుచేయక యెహోవా మిమ్మునుగూర్చి సెల విచ్చునదంతయు మీకు తెలియజేతును.

4. And Jeremiah the prophet, said unto them, I have heard; behold me! praying unto Yahweh your God according to your words, and it shall come to pass that the whole thing that Yahweh shall answer you, I will tell you, I will keep back from you, nothing.

5. అప్పుడు వారు యిర్మీయాతో ఇట్లనిరి నిన్ను మా యొద్దకు పంపి, నీ దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి మరుమాట లేకుండ మేము జరిగించని యెడల యెహోవా మామీద నమ్మకమైన సత్యసాక్షిగా ఉండును గాక.

5. They, therefore said unto Jeremiah, Yahweh be against us, as a witness true and faithful, if according to all the word which Yahweh thy God shall send thee unto us, so we do not perform:

6. మాకు మేలు కలుగునట్లు మేము మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట విను వారమై, అది మేలేగాని కీడేగాని మేము ఆయనయొద్దకు నిన్ను పంపువిషయములో మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు మాటకు విధేయుల మగుదుము.

6. whether for good or for ill, unto the voice of Yahweh our God for which we are sending thee unto him, will we hearken, to the end it may be well with us, because we will hearken unto the voice of Yahweh our God.

7. పది దినములైన తరువాత యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమాయెను గనుక

7. And it came to pass at the end of ten days, that the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah.

8. అతడు కారేహ కుమారుడైన యోహానానును అతనితో కూడనున్న సేనల యదిఫతులనందరిని, అల్పులనేమి ఘనుల నేమి ప్రజలనందరిని పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

8. Then called he for Johanan son of Kareah, and for all the princes of the forces who were with him and for all the people from the least even unto the greatest;

9. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని మనవి చేయుటకై మీరు నన్ను పంపితిరి గదా? ఆయన సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా

9. and said unto them, Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel unto whom ye sent me, to cause your supplication to fall prostrate before him:

10. నేను మీకు చేసిన కీడునుగూర్చి సంతాపమొందియున్నాను, మీరు తొందరపడక యీ దేశములో కాపురమున్న యెడల, పడగొట్టక నేను మిమ్మును స్థాపింతును, పెల్లగింపక నాటెదను.

10. If ye will indeed abide, in this land, then will I build you up, and not pull you down, and plant you and not uproot you , for I have compassion as touching the calamity which I have caused you.

11. మీరు బబులోనురాజునకు భయపడు చున్నారే; అతనికి భయపడకుడి, అతని చేతిలోనుండి మిమ్మును తప్పించి మిమ్మును రక్షించుటకు నేను మీకు తోడై యున్నాను, అతనికి భయపడకుడి,

11. Do not fear the face of the king of Babylon, of whose face ye are afraid, do not fear him, Urgeth Yahweh, for with you, am I, to save you, and to deliver you out of his hand:

12. మరియు అతడు మీయెడల జాలిపడి మీ స్వదేశమునకు మిమ్మును పంపు నట్లు మీయెడల నేనతనికి జాలి పుట్టించెదను.

12. that I may grant you compassions and he may have compassion upon you, and suffer you to return unto your own soil.

13. అయితే మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మాట విననివారై యీ దేశమందు కాపురముండక మనము ఐగుప్తు దేశమునకు వెళ్లుదము,

13. But, since ye are saying, We will not dwell in this land, nor hearken unto the voice of Yahweh your God:

14. అక్కడ యుద్ధము చూడకయు బూరధ్వని వినకయు ఆహారపు లేమిచేత ఆకలిగొనకయు నుందుము గనుక అక్కడనే కాపురముందమని మీరనుకొనిన యెడల

14. saying, No! for, into the land of Egypt, will we go, where we shall not see war, nor the sound of a horn, shall we hear, nor for bread, shall we be famished, there, then will we dwell

15. యూదావారిలో శేషించిన వారలారా, యెహోవా మాట ఆలకించుడి; ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లవలెనని నిశ్చయించుకొని అక్కడనే కాపురముండుటకు మీరు వెళ్లినయెడల

15. Now, therefore, for this cause, hear ye the word of Yahweh, O remnant of Judah, Thus! saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, If, ye do indeed set your faces to enter Egypt and do enter to sojourn there,

16. మీరు భయపడుచున్న ఖడ్గము అక్కడను ఐగుప్తు దేశముననే మిమ్మును తరిమి పట్టు కొనును; మీకు భయము కలుగజేయు క్షామము ఐగుప్తులోనే మిమ్మును తరిమి కలిసికొనును, అక్కడనే మీరు చత్తురు,

16. then shall it come to pass that the sword which ye are fearing shall, there, overtake you, in the land of Egypt, and the famine which ye are dreading, shall, there, lay fast hold of you, in Egypt, and, there, shall ye die.

17. నేను వారిమీదికి రప్పించు కీడునుండి వారిలో శేషించువాడైనను తప్పించుకొనువాడైనను ఉండడు, ఐగుప్తులో నివసింపవలెనని అక్కడికి వెళ్ల నిశ్చయించుకొను మనుష్యులందరు ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను తెగులు చేతను నిశ్శేషముగా చత్తురు.

17. So shall it be with all the men who have set their faces to enter Egypt to sojourn there, they shah die by sword, by famine or by pestilence, and they shall have neither survival nor escape, from the face of the calamity which I am about to bring in upon them.

18. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు నా కోపమును నా ఉగ్రతయు యెరూషలేము నివాసుల మీదికి వచ్చినట్లు, మీరు ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లినయెడల నా ఉగ్రత మీమీదికిని వచ్చును, మీరు శాపాస్పదముగాను భీతి పుట్టించువారుగాను దూషణాస్పదముగాను తిరస్కరింప బడువారుగాను ఉందురు, ఈ స్థలమును మరి యెప్పుడును చూడరు.

18. For Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Just as mine anger and mine indignation have been poured out upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so shall mine indignation be poured out upon you when ye enter into Egypt, thus shall ye become a curse, and an astonishment and a contempt and a reproach, and ye shall no more see this place.

19. యూదా శేషులారా, ఐగుప్తునకు వెళ్లకూడదని యెహోవా మీకాజ్ఞనిచ్చినట్టు నేడు నేను మీకు సాక్ష్యమిచ్చితినని మీరే నిశ్చయముగా తెలిసికొనుచున్నారు.

19. Yahweh hath spoken concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah, Do not enter into Egypt: Know certainly, that I have taken you to witness to-day.

20. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు మా నిమిత్తము ప్రార్థనచేసి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్పునదంతయు మాకు తెలియ జెప్పినయెడల మేమాలాగు చేయుదుమని చెప్పుచు మిమ్మును మీరే మోసపుచ్చుకొనుచున్నారు.

20. For ye have deceived yourselves at the cost of your lives, for, ye yourselves, sent me unto Yahweh your God, saying, Pray thou in our behalf, unto Yahweh our God, and according to all that Yahweh our God shall say, so, tell us and we will do it.

21. నేడు నేను మీకు దాని తెలియజెప్పుచున్నాను గాని మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీయొద్దకు నాచేత పంపిన వర్తమానమును మీరు ఆలకింపకపోతిరి.

21. Therefore have I told you to-day, and yet ye have not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh your God, even in any thing for which he hath sent me unto you.

22. కాబట్టి కాపురముండవలెనని మీరు కోరు స్థలములోనే మీరు ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామము చేతను తెగులుచేతను చత్తురని నిశ్చయముగా తెలిసికొనుడి.

22. Now, therefore, know ye certainly, that by sword, by famine, or by pestilence, shall ye die, in the place whither ye have desired to go, to sojourn.
