1. మిగ్దోలులోగాని తహపనేసులోగాని నొపులోగాని పత్రోసులోగాని ఐగుప్తుదేశవాసము చేయుచున్న యూదులనందరినిగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. THE WORD that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who were dwelling in the land of Egypt--at Migdol, at Tahpanhes, at Memphis--and in the country of Pathros, saying,

2. నేను యెరూషలేము మీదికిని యూదా పట్టణములన్నిటి మీదికిని రప్పించిన కీడంతయు మీరు చూచుచునే యున్నారు.

2. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the evil that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah; and see, this day they are a desolation and no man dwells in them

3. మీరైనను మీ పితరులైనను ఎరుగని అన్యదేవతలను అనుసరించుచు పూజించుచు వాటికి ధూపము వేయుచు వచ్చుటవలన వాటి నివాసులు తాము చేసికొనిన దోషముచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించిరి గనుక నేడు నివాసులులేకుండ అవి పాడుపడి యున్నవి గదా.

3. Because of the wickedness which they committed, provoking Me to anger in that they went to burn incense to serve other gods that they did not know--neither they, nor you, nor your fathers.

4. మరియు నేను పెందలకడ లేచి ప్రవక్తలైన నా సేవకులందరిని మీయొద్దకు పంపుచు, నాకసహ్యమైన యీ హేయకార్యమును మీరు చేయకుండుడి అని నేను చెప్పుచువచ్చితిని గాని

4. Yet I sent to you all My servants the prophets earnestly and persistently, saying, Oh, do not do this loathsome and shamefully vile thing that I hate and abhor!

5. వారు అలకింపక పోయిరి, అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపార్పణముచేయుట మానకపోయిరి, తమ దుర్మార్గతను విడువకపోయిరి చెవి యొగ్గకపోయిరి.

5. But they did not listen and obey or submit and consent to turn from their wickedness and burn no incense to other gods.

6. కావున నా ఉగ్రతయు నా కోపమును కుమ్మరింపబడి, యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను రగులుకొనెను, గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా అవి పాడై యెడారి ఆయెను.

6. Therefore My wrath and My anger were poured out and were kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they became wasted and desolate, as it is this day.

7. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు అజ్ఞ ఇచ్చుచున్నాడు ఏమియు శేషములేకుండ స్త్రీ పురుషులును శిశువులును చంటి బిడ్డలును యూదా మధ్య నుండ కుండ నిర్మూలము చేయబడునట్లుగా మీరేల ఈ గొప్ప తప్పిదమును మీకు విరోధముగా చేసికొనుచున్నారు?

7. Therefore now thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil against yourselves that will cut off from you man and woman, infant and weaned child, out of Judah, to leave yourselves with none remaining?

8. మీకుమీరే సమూలనాశనము తెచ్చుకొనునట్లును, భూమి మీదనున్న జనములన్నిటిలో మీరు దూషణపాలై తిరస్కరింపబడునట్లును, మీరు కాపురముండుటకు పోయిన ఐగుప్తులో అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపార్పణము చేయుదురు. మీరేల యీలాగున చేయుచు మీ చేతిక్రియలచేత నాకు కోపము పుట్టించుచున్నారు?

8. Why do you provoke Me to anger with the works (idols) of your own hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you [of your own accord] have come to dwell temporarily, that you might be cut off and become a curse and a reproach (an object of reviling and taunts) among all the nations of the earth?

9. వారు యూదాదేశములోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను జరిగించిన క్రియలను అనగా మీ పితరులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును యూదా రాజులు చేసిన చెడుతనమును వారి భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును, మీమట్టుకు మీరు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మీ భార్యలు చేసిన చెడుతనమును మరచి పోతిరా?

9. Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives [who clung to their foreign gods], your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives [who imitated their queens], which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10. నేటివరకు వారు దీనమనస్సు ధరింపకున్నారు, భయము నొందకున్నారు, నేను మీకును మీ పితరులకును నియమించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రము నైనను కట్టడలనైనను అనుసరింపకయే యున్నారు.

10. They are not humbled (contrite, penitent, and bruised for their guilt and iniquities) even to this day, neither have they feared and revered [Me] nor walked in My law or My statutes which I set before you and before your fathers. [Jer. 6:15; 26:4-6; 44:23.]

11. కాబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు మీకు కీడు చేయునట్లు,

11. Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set My face against you for evil--even to cut off all Judah [from the land].

12. అనగా యూదావారినందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయునట్లు, నేను మీకు అభిముఖుడనగుదును; ఐగుప్తు దేశములో కాపురముందుమని అచ్చటికి వెళ్ల నిశ్చయించుకొను యూదాశేషులను నేను తోడుకొని పోవుదును, వారందరు ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనే నశించెదరు; అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి వారందరు కూలుదురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను నశింతురు, ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామము చేతనైనను వారు చత్తురు, శాపాస్పదమును భీతి పుట్టించు వారుగాను దూషణపాలుగాను తిరస్కారము నొందిన వారుగాను ఉందురు.

12. And I will take away the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to come into the land of Egypt to dwell here temporarily [fleeing to Egypt instead of surrendering to the Chaldeans as directed by the Lord through Jeremiah], and they will all be consumed and will fall in the land of Egypt; they will be consumed by the sword and by famine. From the least even to the greatest, they shall die by the sword and by famine. And they will be a detestable thing, an astonishment, a curse, and a reproach (an object of horror, reviling, and taunts).

13. యెరూషలేము నివాసులను నేనే లాగు శిక్షించితినో ఆలాగే ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నివసించు వీరిని ఖడ్గముచేతగాని క్షామముచేతగాని తెగులుచేతగాని శిక్షించెదను.

13. For I will punish all the inhabitants of the land of Egypt as I have punished Jerusalem--by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence--

14. కావున తాము మరలి వచ్చి యూదాదేశములో కాపురముండవలెనన్న మక్కువచేత ఐగుప్తులో ఆగుటకై అక్కడికి వెళ్లు యూదా వారిలోని శేషము ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనరు, శేషమేమియు ఉండదు, పారి పోవువారు గాక మరి ఎవరును తిరిగిరారు.

14. So that none of the remnant of Judah who have come to the land of Egypt to dwell temporarily shall escape or survive or return to the land of Judah, to which they desire and lift up their souls to return to dwell there; for none shall return except [a few] fugitives.

15. అప్పుడు తమ భార్యలు అన్యదేవతలకు ధూపము వేయుదురని యెరిగియున్న పురుషులందరును, అక్కడ నిలిచియున్న స్త్రీలును,

15. Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by--a great assembly--even all the people who dwelt in Pathros in the land of Egypt, answered Jeremiah:

16. మహా సమాజముగా కూడిన వారును ఐగుప్తు దేశమందలి పత్రోసులో కాపురముండు జనులందరును యిర్మీయాకు ఈలాగు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిరి యెహోవా నామమునుబట్టి నీవు మాకు ప్రకటించు ఈ మాటను మేమంగీకరింపము,

16. As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to or obey you.

17. మేము నీతో చెప్పిన సంగతులన్నిటిని నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చ బోవుచున్నాము; మేమును మా పితరులును మా రాజులును మా యధిపతులును యూదా పట్టణములలోను యెరూషలేము వీధుల లోను చేసినట్లే ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదుము, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుము; ఏలయనగా మేము ఆలాగు చేసినప్పుడు మాకు ఆహారము సమృద్ధిగా దొరికెను, మేము క్షేమముగానే యుంటిమి, యే కీడును మాకు కలుగలేదు.

17. But we will certainly perform every word of the vows we have made: to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her as we have done--we and our fathers, our kings and our princes--in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and prosperous and saw no evil.

18. మేము ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయకయు ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపకయు మానినప్పటినుండి సమస్తము మాకు తక్కువైనది, మేము ఖడ్గముచేతను క్షామముచేతను క్షీణించుచున్నాము.

18. But since we stopped burning incense to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.

19. మేము ఆకాశ రాణికి ధూపము వేయగాను, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింపగాను, మా పురుషుల సెలవులేకుండ ఆమెకు పిండి వంటలు చేయుచున్నామా? ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు పోయుచున్నామా? అని వారు చెప్పగా

19. [And the wives said] When we burned incense to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make cakes [in the shape of a star] to represent and honor her and pour out drink offerings to her without [the knowledge and approval of] our husbands?

20. యిర్మీయా ఆ స్త్రీ పురుషులందరితో, అనగా తనకు అట్లు ప్రత్యుత్తర మిచ్చిన ప్రజలందరితో ఇట్లనెను

20. Then Jeremiah said to all the people--to the men and to the women and to all the people who had given him that answer--

21. యూదాపట్టణముల లోను యెరూషలేము వీధులలోను మీరును మీ పితరులును మీ రాజులును మీ యధిపతులును దేశప్రజలును ధూపము వేసిన సంగతి యెహోవా జ్ఞాపకముచేసికొనలేదా? అదే గదా ఆయన మనస్సునకు వచ్చెను.

21. The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem--you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land--did not the Lord [earnestly] remember [your idolatrous wickedness] and did it not come into His mind?

22. యెహోవా మీ దుష్టక్రియలను చూచి మీరు చేయు హేయకృత్యములను ఎంచి యికను సహింపలేకపోయెను గనుక నేడున్నట్లుగా మీ దేశము పాడుగాను ఎడారిగాను శాపాస్పదముగాను నిర్జనము గాను ఆయన చేసెను.

22. The Lord could no longer endure the evil of your doings and the abominations which you have committed; because of them therefore has your land become a desolation and an [astonishing] waste and a curse, without inhabitants, as it is this day.

23. యెహోవా మాట వినక, ఆయన ధర్మశాస్త్రమునుబట్టియు కట్టడలనుబట్టియు ఆయన తనకు సాక్ష్యార్థముగా ఇచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టియు నడువక, మీరు ధూపమువేయుచు యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేసితిరి గనుకనే నేడున్నట్లుగా ఈ కీడు మీకు సంభవించెను.

23. Because you have burned incense [to idols] and because you have sinned against the Lord and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord or walked in His law and in His statutes and in His testimonies, therefore this evil has fallen upon you, as it is this day.

24. మరియు యిర్మీయా ప్రజలనందరిని స్త్రీలనందరిని చూచి వారితో ఇట్లనెను ఐగుప్తులోనున్న సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవా మాట వినుడి.

24. Moreover, Jeremiah said to all the people, including all the women, Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who are in the land of Egypt,

25. ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును, సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈ మాట సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఆకాశరాణికి ధూపము వేయుదు మనియు, ఆమెకు పానార్పణములు అర్పింతుమనియు, మేము మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను నిశ్చయముగా నెరవేర్చుదుమనియు మీరును మీ భార్యలును మీ నోటితో పలికి మీ చేతులతో నెరవేర్చుచున్నారే; నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కుబళ్లను మీరు మ్రొక్కుదురు, నిజముగానే మీ మ్రొక్కులను మీరు నెరవేర్తురు.

25. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have both declared with your mouths and fulfilled it with your hands, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed to burn incense to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her. [Surely] then confirm your vows and [surely] perform your vows! [If you will defy all My warnings to you, then, by all means, go ahead!]

26. కాబట్టి ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు సమస్తమైన యూదులారా, యెహోవామాటవినుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా ప్రభువగు యెహోవా అను నేను నా జీవముతోడు ప్రమాణము చేయుచు, ఐగుప్తులో నివసించు యూదు లలో ఎవరును ఇకమీదట నా నామము నోట పలకరని నా ఘనమైన నామముతోడు నేను ప్రమాణము చేయు చున్నాను.

26. Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all [you people of] Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by My great name, says the Lord, that My name shall no more be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, As the Lord God lives.

27. మేలు చేయుటకు కాక కీడుచేయుటకే నేను వారిని కనిపెట్టుచున్నాను; వారు ఖడ్గముచేతనైనను క్షామముచేతనైనను క్షీణించిపోవుచు, ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనున్న యూదావారందరు శేషములేకుండ చత్తురు.

27. Behold, I am watching over them for evil and not for good; and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine until there is an end of them and they are all destroyed.

28. ఖడ్గము తప్పించుకొనువారు కొద్దిమందియై ఐగుప్తుదేశములో నుండి యూదాదేశమునకు తిరిగి వచ్చెదరు, అప్పడు ఐగుప్తుదేశములో కాపురముండుటకు వెళ్లిన యూదా వారిలో శేషము ఎవరి మాట నిలకడగా నుండునో, నాదో తమదో అది తెలిసికొందురు.

28. Yet a small number who escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt to the land of Judah; and all the remnant of Judah who came to the land of Egypt to dwell temporarily shall know whose words shall stand, Mine or theirs.

29. మీకు కీడు సంభవించు నట్లుగా నా మాటలు నిశ్చయముగా నిలుచునని మీకు తెలియబడుటకును, నేను ఈ స్థలమందు మిమ్మును శిక్షించు చున్నందుకును ఇది మీకు సూచనగా నుండును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

29. And this will be the sign to you, says the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, so that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for evil.

30. అతనికి శత్రువై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయ జూచుచుండిన నెబుకద్రెజరను బబులోను రాజుచేతికి నేను యూదారాజైన సిద్కియాను అప్పగించినట్లు ఐగుప్తురాజైన ఫరోహొఫ్రను అతని శత్రువులై అతని ప్రాణమును తీయజూచువారి చేతికి అప్పగించెదను.

30. Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hands of his enemies and into the hands of those who seek his life, just as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, who was his enemy and was seeking his life.
