1. బబులోనునుగూర్చియు కల్దీయుల దేశమునుగూర్చియు ప్రవక్తయైన యిర్మీయా ద్వారా యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన వాక్కు

1. THE WORD that the Lord spoke concerning and against Babylon and concerning and against the land of the Chaldeans through Jeremiah the prophet: [Isa. 13:1-14:23; 47; Hab. 1, 2.]

2. జనములలో ప్రకటించుడి సమాచారము తెలియ జేయుడి ధ్వజమునెత్తి మరుగుచేయక చాటించుడి బబులోను పట్టబడును బేలు అవమానము నొందును మెరోదకు నేల పడవేయబడును బబులోను విగ్రహములు అవమానము నొందును దాని బొమ్మలు బోర్లద్రోయబడును

2. Declare it among the nations and publish it and set up a signal [to spread the news]--publish and conceal it not; say, Babylon has been taken; Bel [the patron god] is put to shame, Merodach (Bel) is dismayed and broken down. [Babylon's] images are put to shame, her [senseless] idols are thrown down!

3. ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి దానిమీదికి ఒక జనము వచ్చు చున్నది ఏ నివాసియు లేకుండ అది దాని దేశమును పాడు చేయును మనుష్యులేమి పశువులేమి అందరును పారిపోవుదురు అందరును తర్లిపోవుదురు.

3. For out of the north there has come up a nation [Media] against her which will make her land desolate, and none will dwell there. They will have fled, they will be gone--from man even to beast.

4. ఆ కాలమున ఆనాటికి ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదా వారును కూడి వచ్చెదరు ఏడ్చుచు సాగుచు తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయొద్ద విచారించుటకై వచ్చెదరు

4. In those days and at that time, says the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together; they shall come up weeping as they come and seek the Lord their God [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him, both by right of necessity and of the promises of God's Word].

5. ఎన్నటికిని మరువబడని నిత్యనిబంధన చేసికొని యెహోవాను కలిసికొందము రండని చెప్పుకొనుచు సీయోనుతట్టు అభిముఖులై ఆచ్చటికి వెళ్లు మార్గము ఏదని అడుగుచు వచ్చెదరు ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

5. They shall ask the way to Zion, with their faces in that direction, saying, Come, let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6. నా ప్రజలు త్రోవతప్పిన గొఱ్ఱెలుగా ఉన్నారు వారి కాపరులు కొండలమీదికి వారిని తోలుకొని పోయి వారిని త్రోవ తప్పించిరి జనులు కొండకొండకు వెళ్లుచు తాము దిగవలసిన చోటు మరచిపోయిరి.

6. My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray [to favorite places of idolatry] on mountains [that seduce]. They have gone from [one sin to another] mountain to hill; they have forgotten their [own] resting-place. [Isa. 53:6; I Pet. 2:25.]

7. కనుగొనినవారందరు వారిని భక్షించుచు వచ్చిరి వారి శత్రువులు మేము అపరాధులము కాము వీరు న్యాయమునకు నివాసమును తమ పితరులకు నిరీక్షణాధారమునగు యెహోవామీద తిరుగుబాటు చేసినందున ఇది వారికి సంభవించెనని చెప్పుదురు.

7. All who found them devoured them; and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against the Lord [and are no longer holy to Him], their true habitation of righteousness and justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.

8. బబులోనులోనుండి పారిపోవుడి కల్దీయులదేశములోనుండి బయలువెళ్లుడి మందలకు ముందు మేకపోతులు నడుచునట్లు ముందర నడువుడి.

8. Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans; and be as the he-goats [who serve as examples and as leaders in the flight] before the flocks. [Jer. 51:6, 9, 45; II Cor. 6:17; Rev. 18:4.]

9. ఉత్తరదేశమునుండి మహాజనముల సమూహమును నేను రేపుచున్నాను బబులోనునకు విరోధముగా దానిని రప్పించుచున్నాను ఆ జనులు దానిమీదికి యుద్ధపంక్తులు తీర్చుచున్నారు వారి మధ్యనుండియే ఆమె పట్టబడును ప్రజ్ఞగల బలాఢ్యులు దోపుడుసొమ్ము పట్టుకొనక మరలని రీతిగా వారి బాణములు అమోఘములై తిరిగి రాకుండును.

9. For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country. They will equip and set themselves against her; from there she will be taken. Their arrows will be like [both] an expert, mighty warrior and like his arrows--none [of them] will return in vain.

10. కల్దీయుల దేశము దోపుడుసొమ్మగును దాని దోచుకొను వారందరు సంతుష్టి నొందెదరు ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

10. And Chaldea shall become plunder; all who plunder her shall be satisfied, says the Lord.

11. నా స్వాస్థ్యమును దోచుకొనువారలారా, సంతోషించుచు ఉత్సహించుచు నురిపిడిచేయుచు పెయ్యవలె గంతులువేయుచు బలమైన గుఱ్ఱములవలె మీరు సకిలించుచున్నారే?

11. Though you are glad, though you rejoice, O you who plunder My heritage, though you are wanton and skip about like a heifer at grass and neigh like strong stallions,

12. మీ తల్లి బహుగా సిగ్గుపడును మిమ్మును కన్నది తెల్లబోవును ఇదిగో అది జనములన్నిటిలో అతినీచ జనమగును అది యెడారియు ఎండినభూమియు అడవియు నగును.

12. Your mother [Babylon] shall be put to great shame; she who bore you shall blush and be disgraced. Behold, she shall be at the rear of the nations [least of the nations]--a wilderness, waste, and desert.

13. యెహోవా రౌద్రమునుబట్టి అది నిర్జనమగును అది కేవలము పాడైపోవును బబులోను మార్గమున పోవువారందరు ఆశ్చర్యపడి దాని తెగుళ్లన్నియు చూచి ఆహా నీకీగతి పట్టినదా? అందురు

13. Because of the wrath of the Lord she shall not be inhabited but shall be wholly desolate; everyone who goes by Babylon shall be appalled and hiss and mock at all her wounds and plagues.

14. ఆమె యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపముచేసినది. విల్లు త్రొక్కువారలారా, మీరందరు బబులోనునకు విరోధముగా దాని చుట్టు యుద్ధపంక్తులు తీర్చుడి ఎడతెగక దానిమీద బాణములు వేయుడి

14. Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, all you archers. Shoot at her! Spare not the arrows, for she has sinned against the Lord.

15. చుట్టు కూడి దానిని బట్టి కేకలువేయుడి అది లోబడ నొప్పుకొనుచున్నది దాని బురుజులు పడిపోవుచున్నవి దాని ప్రాకారములు విరుగగొట్టబడుచున్నవి ఇది యెహోవా చేయు ప్రతికారము. దానిమీద పగతీర్చుకొనుడి అది చేసినట్టే దానికి చేయుడి.

15. Raise the battle cry against her round about! She gives her hand [in agreement] and surrenders; her supports and battlements fall, her walls are thrown down. For this is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance on her; as she has done [to others], do to her.

16. బబులోనులో నుండకుండ విత్తువారిని నిర్మూలము చేయుడి కోతకాలమున కొడవలి పట్టుకొనువారిని నిర్మూలము చేయుడి క్రూరమైన ఖడ్గమునకు భయపడి వారందరు తమ ప్రజలయొద్దకు వెళ్లుచున్నారు తమ తమ దేశములకు పారిపోవుచున్నారు.

16. Exterminate the sower from Babylon, and the one who handles the sickle in the time of harvest. For fear of the sword of the oppressor everyone shall return to his people, and everyone shall flee to his own land.

17. ఇశ్రాయేలువారు చెదిరిపోయిన గొఱ్ఱెలు సింహములు వారిని తొలగగొట్టెను మొదట అష్షూరురాజు వారిని భక్షించెను కడపట బబులోను రాజైన యీ నెబుకద్రెజరు వారి యెముకలను నలుగగొట్టుచున్నాడు.

17. Israel is a hunted and scattered sheep [driven hither and thither and preyed upon by savage beasts]; the lions have chased him. First the king of Assyria devoured him, and now at last Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken and gnawed his bones.

18. కావున ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడును సైన్యముల కధిపతియునగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు అష్షూరు రాజును నేను దండించినట్లు బబులోనురాజును అతని దేశమును దండించెదను.

18. Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will visit and punish the king of Babylon and his land, just as I visited and punished the king of Assyria.

19. ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని తమ మేతస్థలమునకు నేను తిరిగి రప్పించెదను వారు కర్మెలుమీదను బాషానుమీదను మేయుదురు ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండలమీదను గిలాదులోను మేయుచు సంతుష్టినొందును.

19. And I will bring Israel [home] again to his fold and pasturage, and he will feed on Carmel and Bashan [in the most fertile districts both west and east], and his soul will be satisfied upon the hills of Ephraim and Gilead.

20. ఆ కాలమున ఆ నాటికి ఇశ్రాయేలు దోషమును వెదకినను అది కనబడకుండును. యూదా పాపములు వెదకిను అవి దొరుకవు శేషింపజేసినవారిని నేను క్షమించెదను ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

20. In those days and at that time, says the Lord, the iniquity of Israel will be sought, but there will be none, and the sins of Judah [will be sought], but none will be found, for I will pardon those whom I cause to remain as a remnant (the preserved ones who come forth after a long tribulation). [Isa. 1:9; 43:25; Jer. 31:34; 33:8; Rom. 9:27.]

21. దండెత్తి మెరాతయీయుల దేశముమీదికి పొమ్ము పెకోదీయుల దేశముమీదికి పొమ్ము వారిని హతముచేయుము వారు శాపగ్రస్తులని ప్రకటించుము నేను మీకిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞ అంతటినిబట్టి చేయుము.

21. Go up against [Babylon] the land of Merathaim [two rebellions, double or intense defiance], even against it and against the inhabitants of Pekod [visitation and punishment]. Slay and utterly destroy them, says the Lord, and do according to all that I have commanded you.

22. ఆలకించుడి, దేశములో యుద్ధధ్వని వినబడుచున్నది అధిక నాశనధ్వని వినబడుచున్నది

22. The cry and noise of battle is in the land, and [the noise] of great destruction.

23. సర్వభూమిని కొట్టుచున్న సమ్మెట తెగి బొత్తిగా విరుగ గొట్టబడెను అన్యజనులలో బబులోను బొత్తిగా పాడైపోయెను.

23. How the hammer of the whole earth is crushed and broken! How Babylon has become a horror of desolation among the nations!

24. బబులోనూ, నిన్ను పట్టుకొనుటకై బోను పెట్టి యున్నాను తెలియకయే నీవు పట్టబడియున్నావు యెహోవాతో నీవు యుద్ధముచేయ బూనుకొంటివి నీవు చిక్కుపడి పట్టబడియున్నావు.

24. I set a trap for you, and you also were taken, O Babylon, and you did not know it; you were found and also caught because you have struggled and contended against the Lord.

25. కల్దీయులదేశములో ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవాకు పనియున్నది యెహోవా తన ఆయుధశాలను తెరచి కోపముతీర్చు తన ఆయుధములను వెలుపలికి తెచ్చు చున్నాడు.
రోమీయులకు 9:22

25. The Lord has opened His armory and has brought forth [the nations who unknowingly are] the weapons of His indignation and wrath, for the Lord God of hosts has work to do in the land of the Chaldeans.

26. నలుదిక్కులనుండి వచ్చి దానిమీద పడుడి దాని ధాన్యపుకొట్లను విప్పుడి కసవు కుప్పలువేసినట్లు దానిని కుప్పలువేయుడి శేషమేమియు లేకుండ నాశనము చేయుడి

26. Come against her from every quarter and from the utmost border. Open her granaries and storehouses; pile up [their contents] like heaps of rubbish. Burn and destroy her utterly; let nothing be left of her.

27. దాని యెడ్లన్నిటిని వధించుడి అవి వధకు పోవలెను అయ్యో, వారికి శ్రమ వారి దినము ఆసన్నమాయెను వారి దండనకాలము వచ్చెను.

27. Slay all her bullocks (her choice youths, the strength of her army); let them go down to the slaughter! Woe to [the Chaldeans]! For their day has come, the time of their visitation (their inspection and punishment).

28. ఆలకించుడి, పారిపోయి బబులోను దేశములోనుండి తప్పించుకొని వచ్చుచున్నవారి శబ్దము వినబడు చున్నది మన దేవుడగు యెహోవా చేయు ప్రతికార సమా చారమును తన ఆలయము విషయమై ఆయన చేయు ప్రతికార సమాచారమును సీయోనులో ప్రకటించుడి. వారు వచ్చుచున్నారు.

28. Listen! The voice of those [Jews] who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon proclaiming in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance [of the Lord upon the Chaldeans] for [the plundering and destruction of] His temple.

29. బబులోనునకు రండని విలుకాండ్రమ పిలువుడి విల్లు త్రొక్కువారలారా, మీరందరు దానిచుట్టు దిగుడి. అది యెహోవామీద గర్వపడినది ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధునిమీద గర్వపడినది దానిలో నొకడును తప్పించుకొనకూడదు దాని క్రియలనుబట్టి దానికి ప్రతికారము చేయుడి అది చేసిన పనియంతటినిబట్టి దానికి ప్రతికారము చేయుడి.

29. Call together [many] archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow. Encamp against her round about; let none from there escape. Recompense her according to her deeds; just as she has done, do to her. For against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel, has she been proudly defiant and presumptuous.

30. కావున ఆ దినమున దాని ¸యౌవనస్థులు దాని వీధులలో కూలుదురు దాని యోధులందరు తుడిచివేయబడుదురు ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

30. Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets and squares, and all her soldiers shall be destroyed on that day, says the Lord.

31. ప్రభువును సైన్యములకధిపతియునగు యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే గర్విష్ఠుడా, నేను నీకు విరోధినై యున్నాను నీ దినము వచ్చుచున్నది నేను నిన్ను శిక్షించుకాలము వచ్చుచున్నది

31. Behold, I am against you, O Babylon [you who are pride and presumption personified], says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, for your day has come, the time when I will visit and punish you.

32. గర్విష్ఠుడు తొట్రిల్లి కూలును అతని లేవనెత్తువాడెవడును లేకపోవును నేనతని పురములలో అగ్ని రాజబెట్టెదను అది అతని చుట్టుపట్టులన్నిటిని కాల్చివేయును.

32. And Pride (the arrogant one) shall stumble (totter) and fall, and none shall raise him up. And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all who are round about him.

33. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఒకడును తప్పకుండ ఇశ్రాయేలువారును యూదా వారును బాధింపబడిరి వారిని చెరపెట్టినవారందరు వారిని గట్టిగా పట్టుకొను చున్నారు వారిని పోనిచ్చుటకు సమ్మతింపరు.

33. Thus says the Lord of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; all who took them captive have held them fast; they refuse to let them go.

34. వారి విమోచకుడు బలవంతుడు సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా అని ఆయనకు పేరు భూమికి విశ్రాంతి కలుగజేయుటకును బబులోను నివాసులను కలవరపరచుటకును ఆయన బాగుగా వాదించి వారి వ్యాజ్యెమును కడ ముట్టించును.

34. Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His name. He will surely and thoroughly plead their case and defend their cause, that He may give rest to [the land of Israel and to the Babylonian-enslaved nations of] the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

35. యెహోవా మాట యిదే కల్దీయులును బబులోను నివాసులును దాని అధిపతులును జ్ఞానులును కత్తిపాలగుదురు

35. A sword upon the Chaldeans, says the Lord--upon the inhabitants of Babylon and upon her princes (rulers in civic matters) and upon her wise men (the astrologers and rulers in religious affairs)!

36. ప్రగల్భములు పలుకువారు ఖడ్గవశులై పిచ్చివాండ్రగుదురు. బలాఢ్యులు నిర్మూలమగువరకు ఖడ్గము వారిమీద పడును

36. A sword upon the babbling liars (the diviners), that they may become fools! A sword upon her mighty warriors, that they may be dismayed and destroyed!

37. ఖడ్గము వారి గుఱ్ఱములమీద పడును వారి రథముల మీద పడును ఖడ్గము వారిమీదికి దిగుటచేత దానిలోనున్న పరదేశులు స్త్రీలవంటివారగుదురు అది దాని నిధులమీద పడగా అవి దోచుకొనబడును.

37. A sword upon their horses and upon their chariots and upon all the mixed foreign troops that are in the midst of her, that they may become [as weak and defenseless as] women! A sword upon her treasures, that they may be plundered!

38. నీళ్లకు ఎద్దడి తగులును అవి ఇంకిపోవును అది చెక్కబడిన విగ్రహములుగల దేశము జనులు భీకరప్రతిమలనుబట్టి పిచ్చిచేష్టలు చేయుదురు.

38. A sword and a drought upon her waters, that they may be dried up! For it is a land of images, and they are mad over idols (objects of terror in which they foolishly trust).

39. అందుచేతను అడవిపిల్లులును నక్కలును అక్కడ నివసించును నిప్పుకోళ్లును దానిలో నివాసముచేయును ఇకమీదట అది ఎన్నడును నివాసస్థలము కాకపోవును తరతరములు దానిలో ఎవరును కాపురముండరు.

39. Therefore wild beasts of the desert shall dwell [in Babylon] with the jackals, and ostriches shall dwell there. And it shall never again be inhabited with people, even from generation to generation. [Isa. 13:20-22.]

40. యెహోవా వాక్కు ఇదే సొదొమను గొమొఱ్ఱాను వాటి సమీప పట్టణములను దేవుడు నాశనము చేసినప్పుడు జరిగిన రీతిగా ఎవడును అక్కడ కాపురముండకపోవును ఏ నరుడును దానిలో బసచేయడు.

40. As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring cities, says the Lord, so no man shall dwell there; neither shall any son of man live there temporarily. [Jer. 49:18.]

41. జనులు ఉత్తరదిక్కునుండి వచ్చుచున్నారు మహాజనమును అనేక రాజులును భూదిగంతములనుండి రేపబడెదరు.

41. Behold, a people is coming from the north; and a great nation and many kings are stirring from the uttermost parts of the earth.

42. వారు వింటిని ఈటెను పట్టుకొని వచ్చెదరు వారు క్రూరులు జాలిపడనివారు వారి స్వరము సముద్రఘోషవలె ఉన్నది వారు గుఱ్ఱములను ఎక్కువారు బబులోను కుమారీ, ఒకడు యుద్ధపంక్తులు తీర్చు రీతిగా వారందరు నీమీద పంక్తులు తీర్చుచున్నారు.

42. They lay hold of bow, lance, and spear; they are cruel and have no mercy or compassion. They sound like the roaring of the sea; they ride upon horses, every man equipped like a man [ready] for the battle against you, O Daughter of Babylon!

43. బబులోనురాజు వారి సమాచారము విని దుర్బలు డాయెను అతనికి బాధ కలిగెను ప్రసవ స్త్రీ వేదనవంటి వేదన అతనికి సంభవించెను.

43. The king of Babylon has heard the news about them, and his hands fall feeble and helpless; anguish has seized him, and pangs like that of a woman in childbirth.

44. చిరకాల నివాసమును పట్టుకొనవలెనని శత్రువులు యొర్దాను ప్రవాహములో నుండి సింహము వలె వచ్చుచున్నారు నిమిషములోనే నేను వారిని దానియొద్దనుండి తోలి వేయుదును నేనెవని ఏర్పరతునో వానిని దానిమీద నియమించెదనునన్ను పోలియున్నవాడై నన్ను ఆక్షేపణచేయువాడేడి?నన్ను ఎదిరింపగల కాపరి ఏడి?

44. See, there comes up one like a lion from the jungles (the pride) of the Jordan against the strong habitation [of Babylon] and into the permanent pasturage and sheepfold; for in a twinkling I will drive him [Babylon] from there. And I will appoint over him the one whom I choose. For who is like Me? And who will challenge Me and prosecute Me for this proceeding? And what [earthly, national] shepherd can stand before Me and defy Me? [Jer. 49:19.]

45. బబులోనునుగూర్చి యెహోవా చేసిన ఆలోచన వినుడి కల్దీయుల దేశమునుగూర్చి ఆయన ఉద్దేశించినది వినుడి నిశ్చయముగా మందలోని అల్పులైనవారిని వారు లాగు దురు నిశ్చయముగా వారినిబట్టి వారి నివాసస్థలము విస్మయ మొందును.

45. Therefore hear the plan of the Lord which He has made against Babylon, and His purposes which He has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they shall be dragged away, even the little ones of the flock; surely He shall make their habitation desolate because of them and their fold amazed and appalled at their fate.

46. బబులోను పట్టబడుచున్నదను సమాచారము విని భూమి కంపించుచున్నది జనములలో అంగలార్పు వినబడుచున్నది.

46. At the cry, Babylon has been taken! the earth shall tremble, and the cry shall be heard among the nations.
