1. బెన్యామీనీయులారా, యెరూషలేములో నుండి పారి పోవుడి, తెకోవలో బూరధ్వని చేయుడి, బేత్‌ హక్కెరెము మీద ఆనవాలుకై ధ్వజము నిలువబెట్టుడి, కీడు ఉత్తర దిక్కునుండి వచ్చుచున్నది, గొప్ప దండు వచ్చుచున్నది.

1. The Lord says, 'People of Benjamin, run for safety! Run away from Jerusalem! Blow trumpets in Tekoa! Warn everyone in Beth Hakkerem! Horrible trouble is coming from the north. The Babylonians will destroy everything with awful power.

2. సుందరియు సుకుమారియునైన సీయోను కుమార్తెను పెల్లగించుచున్నాను.

2. I will destroy the city of Zion, even though it is very beautiful.

3. గొఱ్ఱెల కాపరులు తమ మందలతో ఆమెయొద్దకు వచ్చెదరు, ఆమె చుట్టు తమ గుడారములను వేయుదురు, ప్రతివాడును తన కిష్టమైనచోట మందను మేపును.

3. Shepherds will come against it with their flocks. They will set up their tents around it. All of them will take care of their own sheep.'

4. ఆమెతో యుద్ధమునకు సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి; లెండి, మధ్యాహ్నమందు బయలుదేరుదము. అయ్యో, మనకు శ్రమ, ప్రొద్దు గ్రుంకుచున్నది, సాయంకాలపు ఛాయలు పొడుగవుచున్నవి.

4. The Babylonians say, 'Prepare for battle against Judah! Get up! Let's attack them at noon! But the daylight is fading. The shadows of evening are getting longer.

5. లెండి ఆమె నగరులను నశింపజేయుటకు రాత్రి బయలుదేరుదము.

5. So get up! Let's attack them at night! Let's destroy their strongest forts!'

6. సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు చెట్లను నరికి యెరూషలేమునకు ఎదురుగా ముట్టడిదిబ్బ కట్టుడి, ఈ పట్టణము కేవలము అన్యాయమును అనుసరించి నడచునది గనుక శిక్ష నొందవలసి వచ్చెను.

6. The Lord who rules over all speaks to the Babylonians. He says, 'Cut some trees down. Use the wood to build ramps against Jerusalem's walls. I must punish that city. It is filled with people who treat others badly.

7. ఊట తన జలమును పైకి ఉబుక చేయునట్లు అది తన చెడుతనమును పైకి ఉబుకచేయు చున్నది, బలాత్కారమును దోపుడును దానిలో జరుగుట వినబడుచున్నది, గాయములును దెబ్బలును నిత్యము నాకు కనబడుచున్నవి.

7. Wells keep giving fresh water. And Jerusalem keeps on sinning. Its people are always fighting and causing trouble. When I look at them, I see nothing but sickness and wounds.

8. యెరూషలేమా, నేను నీయొద్దనుండి తొలగింపబడకుండునట్లును నేను నిన్ను పాడైన నిర్మానుష్య ప్రదేశముగా చేయకుండునట్లును శిక్షకు లోబడుము.

8. Jerusalem, listen to my warning. If you do not, I will turn away from you. Your land will become a desert. No one will be able to live there.'

9. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడుద్రాక్షచెట్టు ఫలమును ఏరుకొనునట్లు మను ష్యులు ఏమియు మిగులకుండ ఇశ్రాయేలు శేషమును ఏరు దురు; ద్రాక్షపండ్లను ఏరువాడు చిన్న తీగెలను ఏరుటకై తన చెయ్యి మరల వేయునట్లు నీ చెయ్యివేయుము.

9. The Lord rules over all. He says to me, 'People gather the few grapes that are left on a vine. So let Israel's enemies gather the few people who are left alive in the land. Look carefully at the branches again. Do it like someone who gathers the last few grapes.'

10. విందురని నేనెవరితో మాటలాడెదను? ఎవరికి సాక్ష్య మిచ్చెదను? వారు వినుటకు తమ మనస్సు సిద్ధపరచుకొనరు గనుక వినలేకపోయిరి. ఇదిగో వారు యెహోవా వాక్యమందు సంతోషము లేనివారై దాని తృణీకరింతురు.

10. Who can I speak to? Who can I warn? Who will even listen to me? Their ears are closed so they can't hear. The Lord's message displeases them. They don't take any delight in it.

11. కావున నేను యెహోవా క్రోధముతో నిండియున్నాను, దానిని అణచుకొని అణచుకొని నేను విసికియున్నాను, ఒకడు తప్పకుండ వీధిలోనున్న పసిపిల్లలమీదను ¸యౌవనుల గుంపుమీదను దాని కుమ్మరింపవలసి వచ్చెను, భార్యా భర్తలును వయస్సు మీరినవారును వృద్ధులును పట్టుకొనబడెదరు.

11. But the Lord's anger burns inside me. I can no longer hold it in. The Lord says to me, 'Pour out my anger on the children in the street. Pour it out on the young people who are gathered together. Husband and wife alike will be caught in it. So will those who are very old.

12. ఏమియు మిగులకుండ వారి యిండ్లును వారి పొల ములును వారి భార్యలును ఇతరులకు అప్పగింపబడుదురు, ఈ దేశనివాసులమీద నేను నా చెయ్యి చాపుచున్నాను; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు

12. I will reach out my hand against those who live in the land,' announces the Lord. 'Then their houses will be turned over to others. So will their fields and their wives.

13. అల్పులేమి ఘనులేమి వారందరు మోసము చేసి దోచుకొనువారు, ప్రవక్తలేమి యాజకులేమి అందరు వంచకులు.

13. Everyone wants to get richer and richer, from the least important of them to the most important. Prophets and priests alike try to fool everyone they can.

14. సమాధానములేని సమయమునసమాధానము సమాధానమని చెప్పుచు, నా ప్రజలకున్న గాయమును పైపైన మాత్రమే బాగుచేయుదురు.

14. They bandage the wounds of my people as if they were not very deep. 'Peace, peace,' they say. But there isn't any peace.

15. వారు తాము హేయక్రియలు చేయుచున్నందున సిగ్గుపడవలసి వచ్చెను గాని వారు ఏమాత్రమును సిగ్గుపడరు; అవమానము నొందితిమని వారికి తోచనేలేదు గనుక పడి పోవువారితో వారు పడిపోవుదురు, నేను వారిని విమర్శించు కాలమున వారు తొట్రిల్లుదురని యెహోవా సెల విచ్చుచున్నాడు.

15. Are they ashamed of their hateful actions? No. They do not feel any shame at all. They do not even know how to blush. So they will fall like others who have already fallen. They will be brought down when I punish them,' says the Lord.

16. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుమార్గ ములలో నిలిచి చూడుడి, పురాతనమార్గములనుగూర్చి విచారించుడి, మేలు కలుగు మార్గమేది అని యడిగి అందులో నడుచుకొనుడి, అప్పుడు మీకు నెమ్మది కలుగును. అయితే వారుమేము అందులో నడుచుకొనమని చెప్పు చున్నారు.

16. The Lord tells the people of Judah, 'Stand where the roads cross, and look around. Ask where the old paths are. Ask for the good path, and walk on it. Then your hearts will find rest in me. But you said, 'We won't walk on it.'

17. మిమ్మును కాపుకాయుటకు నేను కావలివారిని ఉంచియున్నాను; ఆలకించుడి, వారు చేయు బూరధ్వని వినబడుచున్నది.

17. I appointed prophets to warn you. I said, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpets!' But you said, 'We won't listen.'

18. అయితే మేము వినమని వారను చున్నారు; అన్యజనులారా, వినుడి; సంఘమా, వారికి జరిగిన దానిని తెలిసికొనుము.

18. So pay attention, you nations. Be witnesses for me. Watch what will happen to my people.

19. భూలోకమా, వినుము; ఈ జనులు నా మాటలు వినకున్నారు, నా ధర్మశాస్త్రమును విసర్జించుచున్నారు గనుక తమ ఆలోచనలకు ఫలితమైన కీడు నేను వారిమీదికి రప్పించుచున్నాను.

19. Earth, pay attention. I am going to bring trouble on them. I will punish them because of the evil things they have done. They have not listened to my words. They have said no to my law.

20. షేబనుండి వచ్చు సాంబ్రాణి నాకేల? దూరదేశమునుండి వచ్చు మధురమైన చెరుకు నాకేల? మీ దహనబలులు నాకిష్ట మైనవి కావు, మీ బలులయందు నాకు సంతోషము లేదు.

20. What do I care about incense from the land of Sheba? Why should I bother with sweet-smelling cane from a land far away? I do not accept your burnt offerings. Your sacrifices do not please me.'

21. కావున యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడు ఈ జనుల మార్గమున నేడు అడ్డురాళ్లు వేయుదును; తండ్రులేమి కుమారులేమి అందరును అవి తగిలి కూలుదురు; ఇరుగుపొరుగువారును నశించెదరు.

21. So the Lord says, 'I will bring an army against the people of Judah. Parents and children alike will trip and fall. Neighbors and friends will die.'

22. యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుఉత్తర దేశమునుండి యొక జనము వచ్చుచున్నది, భూదిగంత ములలోనుండి మహా జనము లేచి వచ్చుచున్నది.

22. The Lord says to Jerusalem, 'Look! An army is coming from the land of the north. I am stirring up a great nation. Its army is coming from a land that is very far away.

23. వారు వింటిని ఈటెను వాడనేర్చినవారు, అది యొక క్రూర జనము; వారు జాలిలేనివారు, వారి స్వరము సముద్ర ఘోషవలె నున్నది, వారు గుఱ్ఱములెక్కి సవారిచేయు వారు; సీయోను కుమారీ, నీతో యుద్ధము చేయవలెనని వారు యోధులవలె వ్యూహము తీరియున్నారు.

23. Its soldiers are armed with bows and spears. They are mean. They do not show any mercy at all. They come riding in on their horses. They sound like the roaring ocean. They are lined up for battle. They are marching out to attack you, city of Zion.'

24. దాని గూర్చిన వర్తమానము విని మా చేతులు బలహీనమగు చున్నవి, ప్రసవించు స్త్రీ వేదన పడునట్లు మేము వేదన పడుచున్నాము.

24. We have heard reports about them. And our hands can't help us. We are suffering greatly. It's like the pain of a woman having a baby.

25. పొలములోనికి పోకుము, మార్గములో నడువకుము, శత్రువులు కత్తిని ఝుళిపించుచున్నారు, నలు దిక్కుల భయము తగులుచున్నది.

25. Don't go out to the fields. Don't walk on the roads. Our enemies have swords. And there is terror on every side.

26. నా జనమా, పాడు చేయువాడు హఠాత్తుగా మామీదికి వచ్చుచున్నాడు. గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని బూడిదె చల్లుకొనుము; ఏక కుమారుని గూర్చి దుఃఖించునట్లు దుఃఖము సలుపుము ఘోరమైన దుఃఖము సలుపుము.

26. Put on black clothes, my people. Roll among the ashes. Cry with bitter sobbing just as you would cry for an only child. The one who is going to destroy us will come suddenly.

27. నీవు నా జనుల మార్గమును తెలిసి కొని పరీక్షించునట్లు నిన్ను వారికి వన్నెచూచువానిగాను వారిని నీకు లోహపు తుంటగాను నేను నియమించి యున్నాను. ఒ

27. The Lord says to me, 'I have made you like one who tests metals. My people are the ore. I want you to watch them and test the way they live.

28. వారందరు బహు ద్రోహులు, కొండె గాండ్రు, వారు మట్టిలోహము వంటివారు, వారందరు చెరుపువారు.

28. All of them are used to disobeying me. They go around telling lies about others. They are like bronze mixed with iron. All of them do very sinful things.

29. కొలిమితిత్తి బహుగా బుసలు కొట్టు చున్నది గాని అగ్నిలోనికి సీసమే వచ్చుచున్నది; వ్యర్థము గానే చొక్కముచేయుచు వచ్చెను. దుష్టులు చొక్కమునకు రారు.

29. The fire is made very hot so the lead will burn away. But it is impossible to make those people pure. Those who are evil are not removed.

30. యెహోవా వారిని త్రోసివేసెను గనుక త్రోసివేయవలసిన వెండియని వారికి పేరు పెట్టబడును.

30. They are like silver that is thrown away. That is because I have not accepted them.'
