1. అప్పుడు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను

1. AND THE word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2. నరపుత్రుడా, యెరూషలేము తట్టు నీ ముఖము త్రిప్పుకొని, పరిశుద్ధ స్థలములనుబట్టి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులదేశమును గూర్చి ప్రవచించి ఇట్లనుము

2. Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and direct your [prophetic] word against the holy places; prophesy against the land of Israel

3. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నేను నీకు విరోధినై తిని. నీతిపరులనేమి దుష్టులనేమి నీలో ఎవరు నుండకుండ అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుటకై నా ఖడ్గము ఒరదూసి యున్నాను.

3. And say to the land of Israel, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am against you and will draw forth My sword out of its sheath and will cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

4. నీతిపరులేమి దుష్టులేమి యెవరును మీలో ఉండకుండ దక్షిణదిక్కు మొదలుకొని ఉత్తరదిక్కువరకు అందరిని నిర్మూలము చేయుటకై నా ఖడ్గము దాని ఒరలో నుండి బయలుదేరియున్నది.

4. Because I will cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall My sword go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north,

5. యెహోవానైన నేను నా ఖడ్గము మరల ఒరలోపడకుండ దాని దూసియున్నానని జనులందరు తెలిసికొందురు.

5. And all living shall know, understand, and realize that I the Lord have drawn My sword out of its sheath; it shall not be sheathed any more.

6. కావున నరపుత్రుడా, నిట్టూర్పు విడువుము, వారు చూచుచుండగా నీ నడుము బద్దలగునట్లు మనోదుఃఖముతో నిట్టూర్పు విడువుము.

6. Sigh therefore, son of man! With breaking heart and with bitterness shall you sigh before their eyes.

7. నీవు నిట్టూర్పు విడిచెదవేమని వారు నిన్నడుగగా నీవుశ్రమదినము వచ్చుచున్నదను దుర్వార్త నాకు వినబడినది, అందరి గుండెలు కరిగిపోవును, అందరి చేతులు బల హీనమవును, అందరి మనస్సులు అధైర్యపడును, అందరి మోకాళ్లు నీరవును, ఇంతగా కీడు వచ్చుచున్నది; అది వచ్చేయున్నది అని చెప్పుము; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

7. And it shall be that when they say to you, Why do you sigh? that you shall answer, Because of the tidings. When it comes, every heart will melt and all hands will be feeble, and every spirit will faint and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it shall be fulfilled, says the Lord God.

8. మరియు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

8. Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

9. నరపుత్రుడా, నీవు ఈ మాటలు ప్రకటనచేసి ఇట్లనుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అదిగో ఖడ్గము ఖడ్గమే కనబడుచున్నది, అది పదునుగలదై మెరుగుపెట్టియున్నది.

9. Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord: Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened and also polished;

10. అది గొప్ప వధ చేయుటకై పదును పెట్టియున్నది, తళతళలాడునట్లు అది మెరుగుపెట్టియున్నది; ఇట్లుండగా నా కుమారుని దండము ఇతర దండములన్నిటిని తృణీకరించునది అని చెప్పి మనము సంతోషించెదమా?

10. It [the sword of Babylon] is sharpened that it may make a slaughter, polished that it may flash and glitter like lightning! Shall we then rejoice and make mirth [when such a calamity is impending]? But the rod or scepter of My son [Judah] rejects and views with contempt every tree [that is, since God's promise long ago to Judah is certain, he believes Judah's scepter must remain no matter what power arises against it]! [Gen. 49:9, 10; II Sam. 7:23.]

11. మరియు దూయుటకు సిద్ధమగునట్లు అది మెరుగుపెట్టువానియొద్ద నుంచ బడియుండెను, హతము చేయువాడు పట్టుకొనునట్లుగా అది పదునుగలదై మెరుగు పెట్టబడియున్నది.

11. And the sword [of Babylon] is given to be polished that it may be put to use; the sword is sharpened and polished to be given into the hand of the slayer.

12. నరపుత్రుడా అంగలార్చుము, కేకలువేయుము, అది నా జనులమీదికిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రధానులమీదికిని వచ్చుచున్నది, ఖడ్గభయము నా జనులకు తటస్థించినది గనుక నీ తొడను చరచుకొనుము.

12. Cry and wail, son of man, for it is against My people; it is against all the princes of Israel; they are thrown to the sword along with My people, and terrors by reason of the sword are upon My people. Therefore smite your thigh [in dismay].

13. శోధనకలిగెను, తృణీకరించు దండము రాకపోయిననేమి? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

13. For this sword has been tested and proved [on others], and what if the rejecting and despising rod or scepter of Judah shall be no more but completely swept away? says the Lord God.

14. నరపుత్రుడా, చేతులు చరచుకొనుచు సమాచారము ప్రవచింపుము, ఖడ్గము ముమ్మారు రెట్టింపబడినదై జనులను హతముచేయునదై యున్నది, అది గొప్పవాని అంతఃపురము చొచ్చి వాని హతము చేయునది.

14. Therefore, son of man, prophesy and smite your hands together and let the sword be doubled, yes, trebled in intensity--the sword for those to be overthrown and pierced through; it is the sword of great slaughter which encompasses them [so that none can escape, even by entering into their inner chambers].

15. వారి గుండెలు కరిగిపోవునట్లును, పడద్రోయు అడ్డములు అధికములగునట్లును, వారి గుమ్మములలో నేను ఖడ్గము దూసెదను; అయ్యయ్యో అది తళతళలాడుచున్నది, హతము చేయుటకై అది దూయబడియున్నది.

15. I have set the threatening and glittering sword against all their gates, that their hearts may melt and their stumblings be multiplied. Ah! It is made [to flash] like lightning; it is pointed and sharpened for slaughter.

16. ఖడ్గమా, సిద్ధపడియుండుము; కుడివైపు చూడుము, ఎడమవైపు తిరుగుము, ఎక్కడ నీకు పని యుండునో అక్కడికి తిరుగుము

16. Turn [O sword] and cut right or cut left, whichever way your lust for blood and your edge direct you.

17. నేనుకూడ నా చేతులు చరచుకొని నా క్రోధము తీర్చుకొందును; యెహోవా నగు నేనే మాట ఇచ్చి యున్నాను.

17. I will also clap My hands, and I will cause My wrath to rest. I the Lord have said it.

18. మరియు యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

18. The word of the Lord came to me again, saying,

19. నరపుత్రుడా, బబులోను రాజు ఖడ్గమువచ్చుటకు రెండు మార్గములను ఏర్పరచుము. ఆరెండును ఒక దేశములోనుండి వచ్చునట్లు సూచించుటకై యొక హస్తరూపము గీయుము, పట్టణపు వీధి కొనను దాని గీయుము.

19. Also, son of man, mark out two ways by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come; both shall come forth from the same land. And make a signpost (a hand); make it at the head of the way to a city.

20. ఖడ్గమునకు అమ్మోనీయుల పట్టణమగు రబ్బాకు ఒక మార్గమును, యూదాదేశమందున్న ప్రాకారములు గల పట్టణమగు యెరూషలేమునకు ఒక మార్గమును ఏర్పరచుము.

20. You shall point out a way for the [Babylonian] sword to come to Rabbah [the capital] of the sons of Ammon and to Judah with Jerusalem, the fortified and inaccessible.

21. బాటలు చీలుచోట రెండు మార్గములు చీలు స్థలమున శకునము తెలిసికొనుటకు బబులోను రాజు నిలుచుచున్నాడు; అతడు బాణములను ఇటు అటు ఆడించుచు, విగ్రహములచేత విచారణ చేయుచు, కార్యమునుబట్టి శకునము చూచుచున్నాడు.

21. For the king of Babylon stands at the parting of the way, at the fork of the two ways, to use divination. He shakes the arrows to and fro, he consults the teraphim (household gods), he looks at the liver.

22. యెరూషలేము ఎదుట గుమ్మములను పడగొట్టు యంత్ర ములు పెట్టుమనియు, హతముచేయుదమనియు, ధ్వని ఎత్తుమనియు, జయధ్వని బిగ్గరగా ఎత్తుమనియు, గుమ్మ ములకు ఎదురుగా పడగొట్టు యంత్రములు ఉంచు మనియు, దిబ్బలు వేయుమనియు, ముట్టడి దిబ్బలు కట్టు మనియు యెరూషలేమునుగూర్చి తన కుడితట్టున శకునము కనబడెను.

22. In his right hand is the lot marked for Jerusalem: to set battering rams, to open the mouth calling for slaughter, to lift up the voice with a war cry, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up siege mounds, and to build siege towers.

23. ప్రమాణములు చేసికొనిన వారికి ఈ శకునము వ్యర్థముగా కనబడును; అయితే వారు పట్టబడునట్లు వారు చేసికొనిన పాపమును అతడు వారి జ్ఞాపకమునకు తెప్పించును.

23. And it shall seem like a lying divination to them who have sworn oaths [of allegiance to Nebuchadnezzar]. [Will he now fight against their homeland?] But he will remind them of their guilt and iniquity [in violating those oaths], that they may be caught. [II Chron. 36:10, 13; Ezek. 17:15, 18-21.]

24. కాబట్టి ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చు చున్నాడుమీ అతిక్రమములు బయలుపడుటవలన మీ సమస్త క్రియలలోనుండి మీ పాపములు అగుపడునట్లు మీ దోషము మీరు మనస్సునకు తెచ్చుకొనినందునను, నేను మిమ్మును జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనినందునను మీరు చెయ్యి చిక్కియున్నారు.

24. Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have made your guilt and iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear--because, I say, you have come to remembrance, you shall be taken with the [enemy's] hand.

25. గాయపడినవాడా, దుష్టుడా, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు అధిపతీ, దోషసమాప్తికాలమున నీకు తీర్పువచ్చియున్నది.

25. And you, O dishonored and wicked one [Zedekiah], the prince of Israel, whose day will come at the time of your final reckoning and punishment,

26. ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడుతలాటమును తీసివేయుము కిరీట మును ఎత్తుము, ఇది యికను ఇట్లుండదు. ఇకమీదట నీచుని ఘనునిగాను ఘనుని నీచునిగాను చేయుము.
మత్తయి 23:12

26. Thus says the Lord God: Remove the [high priest's] miter or headband and take off the [king's] crown; things shall not remain as they have been; the low is to be exalted and the high is to be brought low.

27. నేను దానిని పడద్రోయుదును పడద్రోయుదును పడ ద్రోయుదును; దాని స్వాస్థ్యకర్త వచ్చువరకు అదియు నిలువదు, అప్పుడు నేను దానిని అతనికిచ్చెదను.

27. I will overthrow, overthrow, overthrow it; this also shall be no more until He comes Whose right it is [to reign in judgment and in righteousness], and I will give it to Him. [Gen. 49:10; Isa. 9:6, 7; 11:1-4; Dan. 7:14; Luke 1:31-33.]

28. మరియు నరపుత్రుడా, నీవు ప్రవచించి ఇట్లనుము అమ్మోనీయులనుగూర్చియు, వారు చేయు నిందను గూర్చియు ప్రభువైన యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాహతము చేయుటకు ఖడ్గము ఖడ్గమే దూయబడియున్నది, తళతళలాడుచు మెరుగుపెట్టిన ఖడ్గము వధచేయుటకు దూయబడియున్నది.

28. And you, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus says the Lord God concerning the sons of Ammon and concerning their reproach: Say, A sword, a sword is drawn for the slaughter; it is polished to cause it to devour to the uttermost and to flash like lightning,

29. శకునగాండ్రు నీకొరకు మాయా దర్శనములు చూచుచుండగను, వారు వ్యర్థమైన వాటిని మీకు చెప్పుచుండగను, దోషసమాప్తి కాలమున శిక్షనొంది హతులైన దుర్మార్గుల మెడల ప్రక్కన అది నిన్ను పడ వేయును.

29. While they see for you false visions, while they divine lies for you to lay you [of Ammon] upon the headless trunks of those who are slain, of the wicked whose day is coming at the time of the final reckoning and punishment.

30. ఖడ్గమును ఒరలోవేయుము; నీవు సృష్టింప బడిన స్థలములోనే నీవు పుట్టిన దేశములోనే నేను నీకు శిక్ష విధింతును.

30. Return [the sword] to its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin and of your birth, I will judge you.

31. అచ్చటనే నా రౌద్రమును నీమీద కుమ్మరించెదను, నా ఉగ్రతాగ్నిని నీమీద రగుల బెట్టెదను, నాశనము చేయుటయందు నేర్పరులైన క్రూరులకు నిన్ను అప్పగించెదను.

31. And I will pour out My indignation upon you [O sons of Ammon]; I will blow upon you with the fire of My wrath and will deliver you into the hand of brutish men, skillful to destroy.

32. అగ్ని నిన్ను మింగును, నీ రక్తము దేశములో కారును, నీ వెన్నటికిని జ్ఞాపకమునకు రాకయుందువు; యెహోవానగు నేనే మాట ఇచ్చి యున్నాను.

32. You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be no more remembered, for I the Lord have spoken it. [Jer. 49:1-6; Ezek. 25:1-7; Amos 1:13-15; Zeph. 2:8-11.]
