1. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను.

1. And Yahweh said unto Moses, Say unto the priests, the sons of Aaron, yea thou shalt say unto them, For a dead person, shall no one make himself unclean among his people:

2. యాజకులగు అహరోను కుమారులతో ఇట్లనుము మీలో ఎవడును తన ప్రజలలో శవమును ముట్టుటవలన తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొనరాదు. అయితే తనకు సమీప రక్త సంబంధులు, అనగా తన తల్లి, తండ్రి, కుమారుడు, కుమార్తె, సహోదరుడు,

2. Saving for his kin, that are near unto him, for his mother or for his father, or for his son or for his daughter, or for his brother;

3. తనకు సమీపముగానున్న శుద్ధ సహోదరియగు అవివాహిత కన్యక, అను వీరియొక్క శవమునుముట్టి తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచు కొనవచ్చును.

3. or for his sister, a virgin who is near unto him, who belongeth not unto a husband, for her, he may make himself unclean:

4. అతడు తన ప్రజలలో యజమానుడు గనుక తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొని సామాన్యునిగా చేసికొనరాదు.

4. He shall not make himself unclean being a chief among his people, by profaning himself:

5. వారు తమ తలలు బోడిచేసికొనరాదు. గడ్డపు ప్రక్కలను క్షౌరము చేసికొన రాదు, కత్తితో దేహమును కోసికొనరాదు.

5. They shall not make a baldness behind in their head, And the border of their beard, shall they not cut off, And, in their flesh, shall they not make incisions.

6. వారు తమ దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితమైనవారుగా ఉండవలెను. కావున వారు తమ దేవుని నామమును అపవిత్రపరచరాదు. ఏలయనగా వారు తమ దేవునికి అహారమును, అనగా యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యములను అర్పించువారు; కావున వారు పరిశుద్ధులై యుండవలెను.

6. Holy persons, shall they be unto their God, and not profane the name of their God, for, the altar-flames of Yahweh, the food of their God, do they bring near Therefore shall they be holy.

7. వారు జార స్త్రీనే గాని భ్రష్టురాలినేగాని పెండ్లిచేసికొనకూడదు. పెనిమిటి విడనాడిన స్త్రీని పెండ్లి చేసికొనకూడదు. ఏలయనగా యాజకుడు తన దేవునికి ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు.

7. A woman that is unchaste or dishonoured, shall they not take, And a woman divorced from her husband, shall they not take, For holy, he is unto his God.

8. అతడు నీ దేవునికి ఆహారమును అర్పించువాడు గనుక నీవు అతని పరిశుద్ధపరచవలెను. మిమ్మును పరిశుద్ధపరచు యెహోవా అను నేను పరిశుద్ధుడను గనుక అతడు మీ దృష్టికి పరిశుద్ధుడు కావలెను.

8. Therefore shalt thou hold him as holy, for the food of thy God, doth he bring near, Holy, shall he be to thee, For, holy, am I Yahweh, who am making you holy.

9. మరియు యాజకుని కుమార్తె జారత్వమువలన తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచు కొనినయెడల ఆమె తన తండ్రిని అపవిత్రపరచునది. అగ్నితో ఆమెను దహింపవలెను.

9. And, the daughter of any priest, when she profaneth herself by unchastity, Her father, she, doth profane, with fire, shall she be consumed.

10. ప్రధానయాజకుడగుటకై తన సహోదరులలో ఎవరి తలమీద అభిషేకతైలము పోయబడునో, యాజకవస్త్రములు వేసికొనుటకు ఎవరు ప్రతిష్ఠింపబడునో అతడు తన తలకప్పును తీయరాదు; తన బట్టలను చింపుకొనరాదు;

10. And, as for the high priest from among his brethren upon whose head is poured the anointing oil, and who is installed, by putting on the garments, His head, shall he not bare, And, his garments, shall he not rend;

11. అతడు శవముదగ్గరకు పోరాదు; తన తండ్రి శవమువలననే గాని తన తల్లి శవమువలననే గాని తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొనరాదు.

11. And, unto no persons b of the dead, shall he go in, For his father or for his mother, shall he not make himself unclean;

12. దేవుని అభిషేక తైలము అనెడు కిరీటముగా అతని మీద ఉండును గనుక అతడు పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును విడిచి వెళ్లరాదు; తన దేవుని పరిశుద్ధమందిరమును అపవిత్రపరచరాదు; నేను యెహోవాను

12. And, out of the sanctuary, shall he not go forth, so shall he not profane the sanctuary of his God, for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him I, am Yahweh.

13. అతడు కన్యకను పెండ్లిచేసి కొనవలెను.

13. But, he, shall take a woman in her virginity:

14. విధవరాలినైనను విడనాడబడినదానినైనను భ్రష్టురాలినైనను, అనగా జారస్త్రీనైనను అట్టివారిని పెండ్లిచేసికొనక తన ప్రజలలోని కన్యకనే పెండ్లి చేసికొన వలెను.

14. A widow or a divorced woman or one dishonoured an unchaste woman, these, shall he not take, But, a virgin from among his own kinsfolk, shall he take to wife;

15. యెహోవా అను నేను అతని పరిశుద్ధపరచు వాడను గనుక అతడు తన ప్రజలలో తన సంతానమును అపవిత్రపరచకూడదని వారితో చెప్పుము.

15. So shall he not profane his seed, among his kinsfolk, For I Yahweh, do hallow him.

16. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

16. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

17. నీవు అహరోనుతో ఇట్లనుము నీ సంతతివారిలో ఒకనికి కళంకమేదైనను కలిగినయెడల అతడు తన దేవునికి ఆహారము అర్పించుటకు సమీపింపకూడదు.

17. Speak unto Aaron, saying, No man of thy seed, unto their generations in whom shall be any blemish, shall come near, to present the food of his God.

18. ఏలయనగా ఎవనియందు కళంకముండునో వాడు గ్రుడ్డివాడేగాని కుంటివాడేగాని ముక్కిడివాడేగాని విపరీతమైన అవయవముగల వాడే గాని

18. Surely, no man in whom is any blemish, shall come near, No man who is blind or lame, or hath a flat nose, or is lanky;

19. కాలైనను చేయినైనను విరిగినవాడే గాని

19. nor any man who hath a broken foot, or a broken hand;

20. గూనివాడేగాని గుజ్జువాడేగాని కంటిలో పువ్వు గల వాడేగాని గజ్జిగలవాడేగాని చిరుగుడుగలవాడేగాని వృషణములు నలిగినవాడేగాని సమీపింపకూడదు.

20. or is hump-backed or a dwarf, or hath defective vision, or hath scurvy or scab, or is crushed in the stones:

21. యాజకుడైన అహరోను సంతానములో కళంకముగల యే మనుష్యుడును యెహోవాకు హోమద్రవ్యములను అర్పించుటకు సమీపింపకూడదు. అతడు కళంకముగలవాడు; అట్టివాడు తన దేవునికి ఆహారము అర్పించుటకు సమీపింప కూడదు.

21. No, man in whom is a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest, shall approach, to bring near the altar-flames of Yahweh, a blemish, is in him, the food of his God, shall he not approach to bring near:

22. అతి పరిశుద్ధమైనవేగాని, పరిశుద్ధమైనవేగాని, తన దేవునికి అర్పింపబడు ఏ ఆహారవస్తువులనైనను అతడు తినవచ్చును.

22. Of the food of his God, both of the most holy, and the holy, may he eat:

23. మెట్టుకు అతడు కళంకముగలవాడు గనుక అడ్డతెరయెదుటికి చేరకూడదు; బలిపీఠమును సమీపింపకూడదు;

23. Only, unto the veil, shall he not come in and unto the altar, shall he not approach because, a blemish, is in him, so shall he not profane my sanctuaries, For, I Yahweh, am hallowing them.

24. నా పరిశుద్ధస్థలములను అపవిత్రపరచకూడదు; వారిని పరిశుద్ధపరచు యెహోవాను నేనే అని వారితో చెప్పుము. అట్లు మోషే అహరోనుతోను, అతని కుమారులతోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరితోను చెప్పెను.

24. And Moses spake these things unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel.
