1. అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను యాజకుడైన అహరోను మనుమడును ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడునైన ఫీనెహాసు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు షిత్తీములో దిగియుండగా ప్రజలు మోయాబురాండ్రతో వ్యభిచారము చేయసాగిరి.

1. And Israel dwelt in Sittim and the people began to commytt whoredome with the doughters of Moab

2. ఆ స్త్రీలు తమ దేవతల బలులకు ప్రజలను పిలువగా వీరు భోజనముచేసి వారి దేవతలకు నమస్కరించిరి.

4. అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేతో ఇట్లనెను నీవు ప్రజల అధిపతులనందరిని తోడుకొని, యెహోవా సన్నిధిని సూర్యునికి ఎదురుగా వారిని ఉరితీయుము. అప్పుడు యెహోవా కోపాగ్ని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీదనుండి తొలగిపోవునని చెప్పెను.

4. and sayed vnto Moses: take all ye heedes of the people and hange them vp vnto ye Lorde agenst the sonne that the wrath of the Lorde maye turne awaye from Israel.

5. కాబట్టి మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల న్యాయాధి పతులను పిలిపించి మీలో ప్రతివాడును బయల్పెయో రుతో కలిసికొనిన తన తన వశములోనివారిని చంపవలెనని చెప్పెను.

5. And Moses sayed vnto the iudges of Israel: goo and slee those men that ioyned the selues vnto Baal Peor.

6. ఇదిగో మోషే కన్నుల యెదుటను, ప్రత్య క్షపు గుడారము యొక్క ద్వారము నొద్ద ఏడ్చుచుండిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సర్వసమాజము యొక్క కన్నులయెదుటను, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఒకడు తన సహోదరుల యొద్దకు ఒక మిద్యాను స్త్రీని తోడుకొనివచ్చెను.

6. And beholde one of the childern of Israel came and broughte vnto his brethern a Madianitish wife euen in the sighte of Moses and in the sighte of all the multitude of ye childern of Israel as they were wepynge in the dore of the tabernacle of witnesse.

7. యాజకుడైన అహరోను మనుమడును ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడునైన ఫీనెహాసు అది చూచి,

7. And when Phineas the sonne of Eleazer the sonne of Aaro the preast sawe it he rose vp out of the companye and toke a wepon in his hande

8. సమాజమునుండి లేచి, యీటెను చేత పట్టుకొని పడకచోటికి ఆ ఇశ్రాయేలీయుని వెంబడి వెళ్లి ఆ యిద్దరిని, అనగా ఆ ఇశ్రాయేలీయుని ఆ స్త్రీని కడుపులో గుండ దూసిపోవు నట్లు పొడిచెను; అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలోనుండి తెగులు నిలిచి పోయెను.

8. and wet after the man of Israel in to the horehousse and thrust them thorow: both the man of Israel and also the woman euen thorow the belye of hir. And the plage ceased from the childern of Israel.

9. ఇరువది నాలుగువేలమంది ఆ తెగులు చేత చనిపోయిరి.

9. And there dyed in the plage. xxiiij. thousande.

10. అప్పుడు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను యాజకుడైన అహరోను మనుమడును ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడునైన ఫీనెహాసు,

10. And the Lorde spake vnto Moses sayenge:

11. వారి మధ్యను నేను ఓర్వలేని దానిని తాను ఓర్వలేకపోవుట వలన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీదనుండి నా కోపము మళ్లించెను గనుక నేను ఓర్వలేకయుండియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నశింపజేయలేదు.

11. Phineas the sonne of Eleazer the sonne of Aaron the preast hath turned myne anger awaye from the childern of Israel because he was gelous for my sake amonge them that I had not cosumed the childern of Israel in my gelousye.

12. కాబట్టి నీవు అతనితో ఇట్లనుము అతనితో నేను నా సమాధాన నిబంధనను చేయుచున్నాను.

12. Wherfore saye: beholde I geue vnto him my couenaunte of pease

13. అది నిత్యమైన యాజక నిబంధనగా అతనికిని అతని సంతానమునకును కలిగియుండును; ఏలయనగా అతడు తన దేవుని విషయమందు ఆసక్తిగలవాడై ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల నిమిత్తము ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము చేసెను.

13. and he shall haue it and his seed after him euen the couenaunte of the preastis office for euer because he was gelous for his Gods sake and made an atonement for the childern of Israel.

15. And the name of the Madianitish wife was Cosbi the doughter of Zur and heed ouer the people of an auncient housse in Madian.

16. మరియు యెహోవా మోషేకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను మిద్యానీయులు తమ తంత్రములవలన మీకు బాధకులై యున్నారు; వారిని బాధపెట్టి హతము చేయుడి;

16. And the Lorde spake vnto Moses sayenge:

17. vexe the Madianites and smyte them

18. తెగులు దినమందు పెయోరు విషయములో చంపబడిన తమ సహోదరియు మిద్యానీయుల అధిపతి కుమార్తెయునైన కొజ్బీ సంగతిలోను, మిమ్మును మోసపుచ్చిరి.

18. for they haue troubled you with their wiles with the which they haue begyled you thorow Peor and thorow their syster Cosby ye doughter of a lorde in Madian which was slayne in ye daye of the plage for Peors sake.
