1. ఆ సమయమున యెరూషలేమునుండి శాస్త్రులును పరిసయ్యులును యేసునొద్దకు వచ్చి

1. Then Pharisees and scribes came from Jerusalem to Jesus and asked,

2. నీ శిష్యులు చేతులు కడుగుకొనకుండ భోజనము చేయుచున్నారే, వారెందు నిమిత్తము పెద్దల పారంపర్యాచారమును అతిక్రమించు చున్నారని అడిగిరి

2. "Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they don't wash their hands when they eat!"

3. అందుకాయన మీరును మీపారం పర్యాచారము నిమిత్తమై దేవుని ఆజ్ఞను ఎందుకు అతిక్ర మించుచున్నారు?

3. He answered them, "And why do you break God's commandment because of your tradition?

4. తలిదండ్రులను ఘనపరచుమనియు, తండ్రినైనను తల్లినైనను దూషించువాడు తప్పక మరణము పొందవలెననియు దేవుడు సెలచిచ్చెను.
నిర్గమకాండము 20:12, నిర్గమకాండము 21:17, లేవీయకాండము 20:9, ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 5:16

4. For God said: Honor your father and your mother; and, The one who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.

5. మీరైతే ఒకడు తన తండ్రినైనను తల్లినైనను చూచి నావలన నీకేది ప్రయోజనమగునో అది దేవార్పితమని చెప్పిన యెడల అతడు తన తండ్రినైనను తల్లినైనను ఘనపరచనక్కరలేదని చెప్పుచున్నారు.

5. But you say, 'Whoever tells his father or mother, "Whatever benefit you might have received from me is a gift [committed to the temple]"--

6. మీరు మీ పారంపర్యాచారము నిమిత్తమై దేవుని వాక్యమును నిరర్థకము చేయుచున్నారు.

6. he does not have to honor his father.' In this way, you have revoked God's word because of your tradition.

7. వేషధారులారా

7. Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said:

8. ఈ ప్రజలు తమ పెదవులతో నన్ను ఘనపరచుదురు గాని వారి హృదయము నాకు దూరముగా ఉన్నది;
యెషయా 29:13

8. These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.

9. మనుష్యులు కల్పించిన పద్ధతులు దైవోపదేశములని బోధించుచు వారు నన్ను వ్యర్థముగా ఆరాధించు చున్నారు అని యెషయా మిమ్మునుగూర్చి ప్రవచించిన మాట సరియే అని వారితో చెప్పి
యెషయా 29:13

9. They worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commands of men."

10. జనసమూహములను పిలిచి మీరు విని గ్రహించుడి;

10. Summoning the crowd, He told them, "Listen and understand:

11. నోటపడునది మనుష్యుని అపవిత్ర పరచదు గాని నోటనుండి వచ్చున దియే మనుష్యుని అప విత్రపరచునని వారితో చెప్పెను.

11. It's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."

12. అంతట ఆయన శిష్యులు వచ్చిపరిసయ్యులు ఆ మాట విని అభ్యంతరపడిరని నీకు తెలియునా అని ఆయనను అడుగగా

12. Then the disciples came up and told Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees took offense when they heard this statement?"

13. ఆయన పరలోకమందున్న నా తండ్రి నాటని ప్రతి మొక్కయు పెల్లగింపబడును.

13. He replied, "Every plant that My heavenly Father didn't plant will be uprooted.

14. వారి జోలికి పోకుడి; వారు గ్రుడ్డివారైయుండి గ్రుడ్డివారికి త్రోవ చూపువారు. గ్రుడ్డివాడు గ్రుడ్డివానికి త్రోవ చూపిన యెడల వారిద్దరు గుంటలో పడుదురు గదా అనెను.

14. Leave them alone! They are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."

15. అందుకుపేతురు ఈ ఉపమానభావము మాకు తెలుపుమని ఆయనను అడుగగా

15. Then Peter replied to Him, "Explain this parable to us."

16. ఆయనమీరును ఇంతవరకు అవివేకులైయున్నారా?

16. "Are even you still lacking in understanding?" He asked.

17. నోటిలోనికి పోవున దంతయు కడుపులోపడి బహిర్భూమిలో విడువబడును గాని

17. "Don't you realize that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is eliminated?

18. నోటనుండి బయటికి వచ్చునవి హృదయములో నుండి వచ్చును; ఇవే మనుష్యుని అపవిత్రపరచునవని మీరు గ్రహింపరా?

18. But what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this defiles a man.

19. దురాలోచనలు నరహత్యలు వ్యభిచారములు వేశ్యాగమనములు దొంగతనములు అబద్ధసాక్ష్య ములు దేవదూషణలు హృదయములో నుండియే వచ్చును

19. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies.

20. ఇవే మనుష్యుని అపవిత్రపరచును గాని చేతులు కడుగు కొనక భోజనముచేయుట మనుష్యుని అపవిత్రపరచదని చెప్పెను.

20. These are the things that defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile a man."

21. యేసు అక్కడనుండి బయలుదేరి తూరు సీదోనుల ప్రాంతములకు వెళ్లగా,

21. When Jesus left there, He withdrew to the area of Tyre and Sidon.

22. ఇదిగో ఆ ప్రాంతములనుండి కనాను స్త్రీ యొకతె వచ్చిప్రభువా, దావీదు కుమారుడా, నన్ను కరుణింపుము; నా కుమార్తె దయ్యముపట్టి, బహు బాధపడుచున్నదని కేకలువేసెను.

22. Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is cruelly tormented by a demon."

23. అందుకాయన ఆమెతో ఒక్క మాటయైనను చెప్పలేదు. అప్పుడాయన శిష్యులు వచ్చిఈమె మన వెంబడి వచ్చి కేకలువేయు చున్నది గనుక ఈమెను పంపి వేయుమని ఆయనను వేడుకొనగా

23. Yet He did not say a word to her. So His disciples approached Him and urged Him, "Send her away because she cries out after us."

24. ఆయనఇశ్రాయేలు ఇంటివారై నశించిన గొఱ్ఱెలయొద్దకే గాని మరి ఎవరియొద్దకును నేను పంపబడ లేదనెను

24. He replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

25. అయినను ఆమె వచ్చి ఆయనకు మ్రొక్కి ప్రభువా, నాకు సహాయము చేయుమని అడిగెను.
యెహోషువ 5:14-15

25. But she came, knelt before Him, and said, "Lord, help me!"

26. అందుకాయనపిల్లల రొట్టెతీసికొని కుక్కపిల్లలకువేయుట యుక్తము కాదని చెప్పగా

26. He answered, "It isn't right to take the children's bread and throw it to their dogs."

27. ఆమెనిజమే ప్రభువా, కుక్కపిల్లలుకూడ తమ యజమానుల బల్లమీదనుండి పడు ముక్కలు తినును గదా అని చెప్పెను.

27. "Yes, Lord," she said, "yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table!"

28. అందుకు యేసు అమ్మా, నీ విశ్వాసము గొప్పది; నీవు కోరినట్టే నీకు అవునుగాక అని ఆమెతో చెప్పెను. ఆ గడియలోనే ఆమె కుమార్తె స్వస్థత నొందెను.

28. Then Jesus replied to her, "Woman, your faith is great. Let it be done for you as you want." And from that moment her daughter was cured.

29. యేసు అక్కడనుండి వెళ్లి, గలిలయ సముద్రతీరమునకు వచ్చి, కొండెక్కి అక్కడ కూర్చుండగా

29. Moving on from there, Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee. He went up on a mountain and sat there,

30. బహు జనసమూహములు ఆయనయొద్దకు కుంటివారు గ్రుడ్డివారు మూగవారు అంగహీనులు మొదలైన అనేకులను తీసికొనివచ్చి ఆయన పాదములయొద్ద పడవేసిరి; ఆయన వారిని స్వస్థపరచెను.

30. and large crowds came to Him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, those unable to speak, and many others. They put them at His feet, and He healed them.

31. మూగవారు మాటలాడు టయును అంగహీనులు బాగుపడుటయును కుంటివారు నడుచుటయును గ్రుడ్డివారు చూచుటయును జనసమూ హము చూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడి ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుని మహిమ పరచిరి.
యెషయా 52:14

31. So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the deformed restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they gave glory to the God of Israel.

32. అంతట యేసు తన శిష్యులను పిలిచి ఈ జనులు నేటికి మూడు దినములనుండి నాయొద్ద నున్నారు; వారికి తిన నేమియు లేదు గనుక వారిమీద కనికరపడుచున్నాను; వారు మార్గములో మూర్ఛపోవుదురేమో అని వారిని ఉపవాసముతో పంపివేయుటకు నాకు మనస్సు లేదని వారితో చెప్పగా

32. Now Jesus summoned His disciples and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they've already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away hungry; otherwise they might collapse on the way."

33. ఆయన శిష్యులుఇంత గొప్ప జన సమూహమును తృప్తిపరచుటకు కావలసిన రొట్టెలు అరణ్యప్రదేశములో మనకు ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చునని ఆయనతో అనిరి.

33. The disciples said to Him, "Where could we get enough bread in this desolate place to fill such a crowd?"

34. యేసుమీయొద్ద ఎన్ని రొట్టెలున్నవని వారి నడుగగా వారుఏడు రొట్టెలును కొన్ని చిన్న చేపలును ఉన్నవని చెప్పిరి.

34. "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked them. "Seven," they said, "and a few small fish."

35. అప్పుడాయన నేలమీద కూర్చుండుడని జనసమూహమునకు ఆజ్ఞాపించి

35. After commanding the crowd to sit down on the ground,

36. ఆ యేడు రొట్టెలను ఆ చేపలను పట్టుకొని కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించి వాటిని విరిచి తన శిష్యులకిచ్చెను, శిష్యులు జన సమూహమునకు వడ్డించిరి

36. He took the seven loaves and the fish, and He gave thanks, broke them, and kept on giving them to the disciples, and the disciples [gave them] to the crowds.

37. వారందరు తిని తృప్తి పొందినమీదట మిగిలిన ముక్కలు ఏడు గంపల నిండ ఎత్తిరి.

37. They all ate and were filled. Then they collected the leftover pieces-- seven large baskets full.

38. స్త్రీలును పిల్లలును గాక తినినవారు నాలుగువేల మంది పురుషులు.

38. Now those who ate were 4,000 men, besides women and children.

39. తరువాత ఆయన జనసమూహములను పంపివేసి, దోనెయెక్కి మగదాను ప్రాంతములకు వచ్చెను.

39. After dismissing the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
