1. తరువాత యెరూషలేమునకు సమీపించి ఒలీవచెట్ల కొండదగ్గర ఉన్న బేత్పగేకు వచ్చినప్పుడు యేసు తన శిష్యులలో ఇద్దరిని చూచి

1. When they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto mount Olivet: then sent Jesus two of his disciples,

2. మీ యెదుటనున్న గ్రామమునకు వెళ్లుడి; వెళ్లగానే కట్టబడియున్న యొక గాడి దయు దానితోనున్న యొక గాడిదపిల్లయు మీకు కన బడును. వాటిని విప్పి నాయొద్దకు తోలుకొని రండి;

2. saying to them: Go into the town that lieth over against you, and anon ye shall find an ass bound, and her colt with her, loose them and bring them unto me.

3. ఎవడైనను మీతో ఏమైనను అనిన యెడలఅవి ప్రభువు నకు కావలసియున్నవని చెప్పవలెను, వెంటనే అతడు వాటిని తోలి పెట్టునని చెప్పి వారిని పంపెను.

3. And if any man say ought unto you, say ye that your master(the LORDE) hath need of them, and straight way he will let them go.

4. ప్రవక్తవలన చెప్పబడినది నెరవేరునట్లు ఇది జరిగెను, అదే మనగా

4. All this was done, to fulfil that which was spoken by the prophet, saying:

5. Tell ye the daughter of Sion: behold thy King cometh unto thee meek, (and) sitting upon an ass and a colt, the foal of an ass used to the yoke.

6. శిష్యులు వెళ్లి యేసు తమకాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము చేసి

6. The disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

7. ఆ గాడిదను దాని పిల్లను తోలుకొని వచ్చి వాటిమీద తమ బట్టలు వేయగా ఆయన బట్టలమీద కూర్చుండెను.

7. and brought the ass and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and set him thereon.

8. జనసమూహములోను అనేకులు తమ బట్టలు దారిపొడుగున పరచిరి; కొందరు చెట్లకొమ్మలు నరికి దారిపొడుగున పరచిరి.

8. (And) Many of the people spread their garments in the way. Other cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

9. జనసమూహములలో ఆయనకు ముందు వెళ్లుచుండినవారును వెనుక వచ్చుచుండిన వారును దావీదు కుమారునికి జయము ప్రభువు పేరట వచ్చువాడు స్తుతింపబడునుగాక సర్వోన్నతమైన స్థలములలో జయము అని కేకలు వేయుచుండిరి.

9. Moreover the people that went before, and they also that came after cried saying: Hosianna to the son of David. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord;(LORDE) Hosianna in the highest.(hyest)

10. ఆయన యెరూషలేము లోనికి వచ్చినప్పుడు పట్టణమంతయుఈయన ఎవరో అని కలవరపడెను.

10. And when he was come in to Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying: Who is this?

11. జనసమూహము ఈయన గలిలయలోని నజరేతువాడగు ప్రవక్తయైన యేసు అని చెప్పిరి.

11. And the people said: This is Jesus the Prophet of Nazareth a city of Galilee.

12. యేసు దేవాలయములో ప్రవేశించి క్రయవిక్రయములు చేయువారినందరిని వెళ్లగొట్టి, రూకలు మార్చువారి బల్లలను గువ్వలమ్మువారి పీఠములను పడద్రోసి

12. And Jesus went in to the temple of God, and cast out all them that bought and sold in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves.

13. నా మందిరము ప్రార్థన మందిరమనబడును అని వ్రాయబడియున్నది, అయితే మీరు దానిని దొంగల గుహగా చేసెడివారనెను.

13. And said to them: It is written, mine(my) house shall be called the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves.(murthurers)

14. గ్రుడ్డివారును కుంటివారును దేవాలయములో ఆయన యొద్దకు రాగా ఆయన వారిని స్వస్థపరచెను.

14. And the blind and the halt came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

15. కాగా ప్రధానయాజకులును శాస్త్రులును ఆయన చేసిన వింతలను, దావీదు కుమారునికి జయము అని దేవాలయములో కేకలు వేయుచున్న చిన్నపిల్లలను చూచి కోపముతో మండిపడి

15. When the chief priests and scribes saw the marvels(wonders) that he did, and the children crying in the temple and saying; Hosianna to the son of David, they disdained,

16. వీరు చెప్పుచున్నది వినుచున్నావా? అని ఆయనను అడిగిరి. అందుకు యేసు వినుచున్నాను; బాలురయొక్కయు చంటిపిల్లలయొక్కయు నోటస్తోత్రము సిద్ధింపజేసితివి అను మాట మీరెన్నడును చదువలేదా? అని వారితో చెప్పి

16. and said unto him: Hearest thou what these say? Jesus said unto them: (yea) have ye never read, of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast ordained praise?

17. వారిని విడిచి పట్టణమునుండి బయలుదేరి బేతని యకు వెళ్లి అక్కడ బసచేసెను.

17. And he left them, and went out of the city unto Bethany, and passed the time(had his abiding) there.

18. ఉదయమందు పట్టణమునకు మరల వెళ్లుచుండగా ఆయన ఆకలిగొనెను.

18. In the morning as he returned into the city again, he hungered,

19. అప్పుడు త్రోవప్రక్కను ఉన్న యొక అంజూరపుచెట్టును చూచి, దానియొద్దకు రాగా, దానియందు ఆకులు తప్ప మరేమియు కనబడలేదు గనుక దానిని చూచి–ఇకమీదట ఎన్నటికిని నీవు కాపు కాయ కుందువుగాక అని చెప్పెను; తక్షణమే ఆ అంజూరపుచెట్టు ఎండిపోయెను.

19. and spied a fig tree in the way, and came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said to it, never fruit grow on thee hence forwards. And anon(immediately) the fig tree withered away.

20. శిష్యులదిచూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడిఅంజూరపు చెట్టు ఎంత త్వరగా ఎండిపోయెనని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

20. And when his disciples saw that, they marveled saying: How soon is the fig tree withered away?

21. అందుకు యేసు–మీరు విశ్వాసముగలిగి సందేహపడకుండినయెడల, ఈ అంజూరపుచెట్టునకు జరిగిన దానిని చేయుట మాత్రమే కాదు, ఈ కొండను చూచి నీవు ఎత్తబడి సముద్రములో పడవేయబడుదువు గాకని చెప్పినయెడల, ఆలాగు జరుగునని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

21. Jesus answered, and said unto them: Verily I say unto you, if ye shall have faith, and shall not doubt, ye shall not only do that which I have done to the fig tree: but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, take thyself away, and cast thyself into the sea, it shall be done.

22. మరియు మీరు ప్రార్థనచేయునప్పుడు వేటిని అడుగుదురో అవి (దొరకినవని) నమ్మినయెడల మీరు వాటినన్నిటిని పొందుదురని వారితో చెప్పెను.

22. And whatsoever thing ye shall ask in your prayers if ye believe, ye shall receive it.

23. ఆయన దేవాలయములోనికి వచ్చి బోధించు చుండగా ప్రధానయాజకులును ప్రజల పెద్దలును ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చిఏ అధికారమువలన నీవు ఈ కార్యములు చేయుచున్నావు? ఈ అధికారమెవడు నీకిచ్చెనని అడుగగా

23. And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the seniors(elders) of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said: By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this power?(authority)

24. యేసు నేనును మిమ్ము నొక మాట అడుగుదును; అది మీరు నాతో చెప్పినయెడల, నేనును ఏ అధికారమువలన ఈ కార్యములు చేయుచున్నానో అది మీతో చెప్పుదును.

24. Jesus answered, and said unto them: I also will ask of you a certain question, which if ye assoil me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

25. యోహాను ఇచ్చిన బాప్తిస్మము ఎక్కడనుండి కలిగినది? పరలోకమునుండి కలిగినదా, మనుష్యులనుండి కలిగినదా? అని వారినడిగెను. వారుమనము పరలోక మునుండి అని చెప్పితిమా, ఆయనఆలాగైతే మీరెందుకు అతని నమ్మలేదని మనలనడుగును;

25. Whence was the baptism of John?(The baptime of John: whence was it?) from heaven, or of men? And they thought in(Then they reasoned among) themselves, saying: If we shall say, from heaven, he will say unto us: why did ye not then believe him?

26. మనుష్యులవలననని చెప్పితిమా, జనులకు భయపడుచున్నాము; అందరు యోహానును ప్రవక్త అని యెంచుచున్నారని తమలో తాము ఆలోచించుకొని మాకు తెలియదని యేసునకు ఉత్తరమిచ్చిరి

26. But and if we shall say of men, then fear we the people. For all men held John as a prophet.

27. అందుకాయనఏ అధికారమువలన ఈ కార్యములు నేను చేయుచున్నానో అదియు మీతో చెప్పను.

27. And they answered Jesus, and said: We cannot tell. (And) He likewise said unto them: neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

28. మీకేమి తోచుచున్నది? ఒక మనుష్యునికి ఇద్దరు కుమారులుండిరి. అతడు మొదటివానియొద్దకు వచ్చికుమారుడా, నేడు పోయి ద్రాక్షతోటలో పని చేయుమని చెప్పగా

28. What say ye to this? A certain man had two sons, and came to the elder saying:(and said: son) go and work today in my vineyard.

29. వాడుపోను అని యుత్తరమిచ్చెను గాని పిమ్మట మనస్సు మార్చుకొని పోయెను.

29. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward repented and went.

30. అతడు రెండవవానియొద్దకు వచ్చి ఆ ప్రకారమే చెప్పగా వాడుఅయ్యా, పోదుననెను గాని పోలేదు. ఈ యిద్దరిలో ఎవడు తండ్రి యిష్టప్రకారము చేసినవాడని వారి నడిగెను.

30. Then came he to the second, and said like wise, and he answered and said: I will sir: yet went he not.

31. అందుకు వారుమొదటివాడే అనిరి. యేసుసుంకరులును వేశ్యలును మీకంటె ముందుగా దేవుని రాజ్యములో ప్రవేశించుదురని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

31. Whether of these two fulfilled their father's will?(Whether of them twain did the will of the father?) And they said unto him: The first. Jesus said unto them: Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and the harlots shall come into the kingdom of God before you.

32. యోహాను నీతి మార్గమున మీయొద్దకు వచ్చెను, మీరతనిని నమ్మలేదు; అయితే సుంకరులును వేశ్య లును అతనిని నమ్మిరి; మీరు అది చూచియు అతనిని నమ్ము నట్లు పశ్చాత్తాపపడక పోతిరి.

32. For John came unto you, in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not. But the publicans and the whores(harlots) believed him. But(And yet) ye (though ye saw it) yet were not moved with repentance, that ye might afterward have believed him.

33. మరియొక ఉపమానము వినుడి. ఇంటి యజమాను డొకడుండెను. అతడు ద్రాక్షతోట నాటించి, దాని చుట్టు కంచె వేయించి, అందులో ద్రాక్షలతొట్టి తొలి పించి, గోపురము కట్టించి, కాపులకు దాని గుత్తకిచ్చి, దేశాంతరము పోయెను.

33. Hearken another similitude. There was a certain householder, which set(planted) a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and made a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a strange country.

34. పండ్లకాలము సమీపించినప్పుడు పండ్లలో తన భాగము తీసికొని వచ్చుటకు ఆ కాపుల యొద్దకు తన దాసులనంపగా

34. And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it,

35. ఆ కాపులు అతని దాసులను పట్టుకొని, యొకని కొట్టిరి యొకని చంపిరి, మరి యొకనిమీద రాళ్లు రువ్విరి.

35. and the husbandmen caught his servants, and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

36. మరల అతడు మునుపటి కంటె ఎక్కువమంది ఇతర దాసులను పంపగా వారు వీరిని ఆ ప్రకారమే చేసిరి.

36. Again he sent other servants more than the first, and they served them likewise.

37. తుదకు నా కుమారుని సన్మానించెదరనుకొని తన కుమారుని వారి యొద్దకు పంపెను.

37. But last of all, he sent unto them his own son, saying: they will fear my son.

38. అయినను ఆ కాపులు కుమారుని చూచి ఇతడు వారసుడు; ఇతనిని చంపి ఇతని స్వాస్థ్యము తీసికొందమురండని తమలో తాము చెప్పుకొని

38. (But) When the husbandmen saw his(the) son, they said among them selves: This is the heir, come on let us kill him, and let us take his inheritance, to our selves.

39. అతని పట్టుకొని ద్రాక్షతోట వెలుపట పడవేసి చంపిరి.

39. And they caught him and thrust him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

40. కాబట్టి ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట యజమానుడు వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆ కాపుల నేమి చేయుననెను.

40. When the lord of the vineyard cometh: what will he do with those husbandmen?

41. అందుకు వారుఆ దుర్మార్గులను కఠిన ముగా సంహరించి, వాటివాటి కాలములయందు తనకు పండ్లను చెల్లించునట్టి ఇతరకాపులకు ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట గుత్తకిచ్చునని ఆయనతో చెప్పిరి.

41. They said unto him: he will evil(cruelly) destroy those evil persons, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall deliver him his(the) fruit at times convenient.

42. మరియు యేసు వారిని చూచి ఇల్లు కట్టువారు నిషేధించిన రాయి మూలకు తలరాయి ఆయెను. ఇది ప్రభువువలననే కలిగెను. ఇది మన కన్నులకు ఆశ్చర్యము అను మాట మీరు లేఖనములలో ఎన్నడును చదువలేదా?
కీర్తనల గ్రంథము 118:22-23

42. Jesus said unto them: did ye never read in the scriptures? The same stone which the builders refused,(the same) is set in the principal part of the corner: this was the Lord's(LORDES) doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

43. కాబట్టి దేవుని రాజ్యము మీ యొద్దనుండి తొల గింపబడి, దాని ఫలమిచ్చు జనులకియ్యబడునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

43. Therefore say I unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to the Gentiles which shall bring forth the fruits of it.

44. మరియు ఈ రాతిమీద పడువాడు తునకలైపోవును గాని అది ఎవనిమీద పడునో వానిని నలి చేయుననెను.
యెషయా 8:14-15, దానియేలు 2:34-35, దానియేలు 2:44-45

44. And whosoever shall fall on this stone, (he) shall be alto broken. And(but on) whosoever this stone(it) shall fall upon, he shall(it will) grind him to powder.(And who so falleth upon this stone, shalbe broken in pieces, and look upon whom it falleth, it shall grind him to poulder.)

45. ప్రధానయాజకులును పరిసయ్యులును ఆయన చెప్పిన ఉపమానములను విని, తమ్మును గూర్చియే చెప్పెనని గ్రహించి

45. And when the chief priests and pharisees heard these similitudes they perceived that he spake of them.

46. ఆయనను పట్టుకొన సమయము చూచుచుండిరి గాని జనులందరు ఆయనను ప్రవక్తయని యెంచిరి గనుక వారికి భయపడిరి.

46. And they went about to lay hands on him, but they feared the people, because they counted(took) him as a prophet.
