1. యేసు ఈ మాటలన్నియు చెప్పి చాలించిన తరువాత జరిగినదేమనగా ఆయన తన శిష్యులను చూచి

1. Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, that He said to His disciples,

2. రెండు దినములైన పిమ్మట పస్కాపండుగ వచ్చుననియు, అప్పుడు మనుష్యకుమారుడు సిలువవేయబడుటకై అప్పగింపబడుననియు మీకు తెలియునని చెప్పెను.

2. You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified."

3. ఆ సమయమున ప్రధానయాజకులును ప్రజల పెద్దలును కయప అను ప్రధానయాజకుని మందిరములోనికి కూడివచ్చి

3. Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were assembled into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

4. యేసును మాయోపాయముచేత పట్టుకొని, చంపవలెనని యేకమై ఆలోచన చేసిరి.

4. and plotted to take Jesus by guile and kill Him.

5. అయితే ప్రజలలో అల్లరి కలుగకుండు నట్లుపండుగలో వద్దని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

5. But they said, "Not during the feast, lest a disturbance take place among the people."

6. యేసు బేతనియలో కుష్ఠరోగియైన సీమోను ఇంట నున్నప్పుడు,

6. And when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,

7. ఒక స్త్రీ మిక్కిలి విలువగల అత్తరుబుడ్డి తీసికొని ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చి, ఆయన భోజనమునకు కూర్చుండగా దానిని ఆయన తలమీద పోసెను.

7. a woman came to Him having an alabaster [flask] of very expensive perfume, and she began to pour it on His head as He reclined to eat.

8. శిష్యులు చూచి కోపపడి ఈ నష్టమెందుకు?

8. But when His disciples saw it, they became indignant, saying, "Why this waste?

9. దీనిని గొప్ప వెలకు అమ్మి బీదల కియ్యవచ్చునే అనిరి.

9. For this perfume could have been sold for much, and have been given to the poor."

10. యేసు ఆ సంగతి తెలిసి కొనిఈ స్త్రీ నా విషయమై యొక మంచి కార్యము చేసెను; ఈమెను మీరేల తొందరపెట్టుచున్నారు?

10. But when Jesus became aware of it, He said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful work for Me.

11. బీదలెల్లప్పుడు మీతోకూడ ఉన్నారు. గాని నేనెల్లప్పుడు మీతో కూడ ఉండను.
ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 15:11

11. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.

12. ఈమె యీ అత్తరు నా శరీరము మీద పోసి నా భూస్థాపన నిమిత్తము దీనిని చేసెను.

12. For this [woman], having put this perfume on My body, she did [it] for My burial.

13. సర్వలోకమందు ఈ సువార్త ఎక్కడ ప్రకటింపబడునో, అక్కడ ఈమె చేసినదియు ఈమె జ్ఞాపకార్థముగా ప్రశంసింపబడునని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నా నని వారితో అనెను.

13. Assuredly I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this [woman] did will be spoken as a memorial to her."

14. అప్పుడు పండ్రెండుమందిలో నొకడగు ఇస్కరియోతు యూదా, ప్రధానయాజకులయొద్దకు వెళ్లి

14. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

15. నేనాయనను మీకప్పగించినయెడల నాకేమి ఇత్తురని వారినడిగెను. అందుకు వారు ముప్పది వెండి నాణములు తూచి వానికి ఇచ్చిరి.

15. and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they weighed out for him thirty silver [coins].

16. వాడప్పటినుండి ఆయనను అప్పగించుటకు తగిన సమయము కనిపెట్టు చుండెను.

16. And from then [on] he sought an opportunity to betray Him.

17. Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, "Where do You desire [that] we shall prepare for You to eat the Passover?"

18. అందుకాయన మీరు పట్టణమందున్న ఫలాని మనుష్యునియొద్దకు వెళ్లినా కాలము సమీపమైయున్నది; నా శిష్యులతో కూడ నీ యింట పస్కాను ఆచరించెదనని బోధకుడు చెప్పుచున్నాడని అతనితో చె

18. And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is near; at your house I will keep the Passover with My disciples." '"

19. యేసు తమ కాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారము శిష్యులు చేసి పస్కాను సిద్ధపరచిరి.

19. So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.

20. సాయంకాలమైనప్పుడు ఆయన పండ్రెండుమంది శిష్యులతోకూడ భోజనమునకు కూర్చుం డెను.

20. And when it was evening, He was reclining [to eat] with the twelve.

21. వారు భోజనము చేయుచుండగా ఆయన మీలో ఒకడు నన్ను అప్పగించునని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పు చున్నాననెను.

21. Now while they were eating, He said, "Assuredly I say to you, that one of you will betray Me."

22. అందుకు వారు బహు దుఃఖపడి ప్రతి వాడునుప్రభువా, నేనా? అని ఆయన నడుగగా

22. And becoming exceedingly sorrowful, each of them began to say to Him, "[Surely] not I am [the one], Lord?"

23. ఆయననాతోకూడ పాత్రలో చెయ్యి ముంచిన వాడెవడో వాడే నన్ను అప్పగించువాడు.

23. He answered and said, "He who dipped his hand with Me in the bowl will betray Me.

24. Indeed, the Son of Man goes just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

25. Then Judas, the [one] betraying Him, answered and said, "[Surely] not I am [the one], Rabbi?" He said to him, "You have said [it]."

26. వారు భోజనము చేయుచుండగా యేసు ఒక రొట్టె పట్టుకొని, దాని నాశీర్వదించి, విరిచి తన శిష్యులకిచ్చి మీరు తీసికొని తినుడి; ఇది నా శరీరమని చెప్పెను.

26. And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and giving thanks, He broke [it], and gave [it] to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."

27. మరియు ఆయన గిన్నె పట్టుకొని కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించి వారికిచ్చి దీనిలోనిది మీరందరు త్రాగుడి.

27. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, "Drink of it, all [of you],

28. ఇది నా రక్తము, అనగా పాపక్షమాపణ నిమిత్తము అనేకుల కొరకు చిందింపబడుచున్న నిబంధన రక్తము.

28. for this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the forgiveness of sins.

29. నా తండ్రి రాజ్యములో మీతోకూడ నేను ఈ ద్రాక్షారసము క్రొత్త దిగా త్రాగు దినమువరకు, ఇకను దాని త్రాగనని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

29. But I say to you, that I will by no means drink of this fruit of the vine from now [on], until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."

30. అంతట వారు కీర్తన పాడి ఒలీవల కొండకు వెళ్లిరి.

30. And having sung hymns, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

31. అప్పుడు యేసు వారిని చూచి ఈ రాత్రి మీరందరు నా విషయమై అభ్యంతరపడెదరు, ఏలయనగా గొఱ్ఱెల కాపరిని కొట్టుదును, మందలోని గొఱ్ఱెలు చెదరిపోవును అని వ్రాయబడి యున్నది గదా.

31. Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me on this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'

32. నేను లేచిన తరువాత మీకంటె ముందుగా గలిలయకు వెళ్లెద ననెను.

32. "But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

33. అందుకు పేతురునీ విషయమై అందరు అభ్యంతర పడినను నేను ఎప్పుడును అభ్యంతరపడనని ఆయనతో చెప్పగా

33. Peter answered and said to Him, "Even if all are made to stumble because of You, yet I will never be made to stumble."

34. యేసు అతని చూచిఈ రాత్రి కోడి కూయక మునుపే నీవు నన్ను ఎరుగనని ముమ్మారు చెప్పెదవని నీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

34. Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you that on this night, before [the] rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."

35. పేతురాయనను చూచినేను నీతోకూడ చావవలసివచ్చినను, నిన్ను ఎరుగ నని చెప్పననెను; అదేప్రకారము శిష్యులందరు అనిరి.

35. Peter said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, by no means will I deny You!" And likewise said all the disciples.

36. అంతట యేసు వారితోకూడ గెత్సేమనే అనబడిన చోటికి వచ్చినేను అక్కడికి వెళ్లి ప్రార్థనచేసి వచ్చు వరకు మీరిక్కడ కూర్చుండుడని శిష్యులతో చెప్పి

36. Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, "Sit here while I go off and pray [over] there."

37. పేతురును జెబెదయి యిద్దరు కుమారులను వెంటబెట్టుకొని పోయి, దుఃఖపడుటకును చింతాక్రాంతుడగుటకును మొదలు పెట్టెను.

37. And taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.

38. అప్పుడు యేసు మరణమగునంతగా నా ప్రాణము బహు దుఃఖములో మునిగియున్నది;మీరు ఇక్కడ నిలిచి, నాతోకూడ మెలకువగా నుండుడని వారితో చెప్పి

38. Then Jesus said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death. Stay here and watch with Me."

39. కొంత దూరము వెళ్లి, సాగిలపడి నా తండ్రీ, సాధ్యమైతే ఈ గిన్నె నాయొద్దనుండి తొలగి పోనిమ్ము, అయినను నా యిష్టప్రకారము కాదు నీ చిత్తప్రకారమే కానిమ్మని ప్రార్థించెను.

39. He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will]."

40. ఆయన మరల శిష్యులయొద్దకు వచ్చి, వారు నిద్రించుట చూచిఒక గడియయైనను నాతోకూడ మేల్కొనియుండలేరా?

40. Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What? Were you not strong [enough] to watch with Me one hour?

41. మీరు శోధనలో ప్రవేశించకుండునట్లు మెలకువగా ఉండి ప్రార్థనచేయుడి; ఆత్మ సిద్ధమే గాని శరీరము బలహీన మని పేతురుతో చెప్పి

41. Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. Indeed the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

42. మరల రెండవమారు వెళ్లినా తండ్రీ, నేను దీనిని త్రాగితేనే గాని యిది నాయొద్దనుండి తొలగి పోవుట సాధ్యముకానియెడల, నీ చిత్తమే సిద్ధించు గాక అని ప్రార్థించి

42. Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, let Your will be done."

43. తిరిగి వచ్చి, వారు మరల నిద్రించుట చూచెను; ఏలయనగా వారి కన్నులు భారముగా ఉండెను.

43. And He came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy.

44. ఆయన వారిని మరల విడిచి వెళ్లి, ఆ మాటలే చెప్పుచు మూడవ మారు ప్రార్థనచేసెను.

44. And leaving them, He went away again, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.

45. అప్పుడాయన తన శిష్యులయొద్దకు వచ్చిఇక నిద్రపోయి అలసట తీర్చు కొనుడి; ఇదిగో ఆ గడియవచ్చి యున్నది; మనుష్యకుమారుడు పాపులచేతికి అప్పగింపబడుచున్నాడు;

45. Then He came to His disciples and said to them, "Sleep now, and rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46. లెండి వెళ్లుదము; ఇదిగో నన్ను అప్పగించువాడు సమీపించి యున్నాడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

46. Rise up, let us be going. See, he who betrays Me is at hand."

47. ఆయన ఇంకను మాటలాడుచుండగా పండ్రెండు మందిలో ఒకడగు యూదా వచ్చెను. వానితోకూడ బహు జనసమూహము కత్తులు గుదియలు పట్టుకొని ప్రధాన యాజకులయొద్దనుండియు ప్రజల పెద్దలయొద్ద నుండియు వచ్చెను.

47. And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve came, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, [sent] from the chief priests and elders of the people.

48. ఆయనను అప్పగించువాడు నేనెవ రిని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొందునో ఆయనే యేసు; ఆయనను పట్టుకొనుడని వారికి గురుతు చెప్పి

48. Now the [one] betraying Him had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I shall kiss, He is [the One]; seize Him."

49. వెంటనే యేసు నొద్దకు వచ్చిబోధకుడా, నీకు శుభమని చెప్పి ఆయనను ముద్దు పెట్టుకొనెను.

49. And immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him.

50. యేసు చెలికాడా, నీవు చేయవచ్చి నది చేయుమని అతనితో చెప్పగా వారు దగ్గరకు వచ్చి ఆయనమీదపడి ఆయనను పట్టుకొనిరి.

50. But Jesus said to him, "Friend, why have you come?" Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.

51. ఇదిగో యేసుతో కూడ ఉన్నవారిలో ఒకడు చెయ్యి చాచి, కత్తి దూసి ప్రధానయాజకుని దాసుని కొట్టి, వాని చెవి తెగనరికెను.

51. And behold, one of those with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and striking the servant of the high priest, he cut off his ear.

52. యేసు నీ కత్తి వరలో తిరిగి పెట్టుము; కత్తి పట్టుకొను వారందరు కత్తిచేతనే నశింతురు.
ఆదికాండము 9:6

52. But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword shall perish by the sword.

53. ఈ సమయమున నేను నా తండ్రిని వేడుకొనలేననియు, వేడుకొనినయెడల ఆయన పండ్రెండు సేనా వ్యూహములకంటె ఎక్కువ మంది దూతలను ఇప్పుడే నాకు పంపడనియు నీవనుకొను చున్నావా?

53. Or do you think that I cannot now call upon My Father, and He will furnish Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

54. నేను వేడుకొనిన యెడల ఈలాగు జరుగ వలెనను లేఖనము ఏలాగు నెరవేరునని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

54. How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?"

55. ఆ గడియలోనే యేసు జనసమూహములను చూచిబందిపోటు దొంగమీదికి వచ్చినట్టు కత్తులతోను గుదియలతోను నన్ను పట్టుకొనవచ్చితిరా? నేను అనుదినము దేవాలయములో కూర్చుండి బోధించుచున్నప్పుడు మీరు నన్ను పట్టుకొనలేదు.

55. In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.

56. అయితే ప్రవక్తల లేఖనములు నెరవేరునట్లు ఇదంతయు జరిగెనని చెప్పెను. అప్పుడు శిష్యులందరు ఆయనను విడిచి పారిపోయిరి.

56. But all this has happened so that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

57. యేసును పట్టుకొనినవారు ప్రధానయాజకుడైన కయప యొద్దకు ఆయనను తీసికొనిపోగా, అక్కడ శాస్త్రులును పెద్దలును కూడియుండిరి.

57. And those having seized Jesus led [Him] away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.

58. పేతురు ప్రధానయాజకుని యింటి ముంగిటివరకు, ఆయనను దూరమునుండి వెంబడించి లోపలికి పోయిదీని అంత మేమవునో చూడవలెనని బంట్రౌతులతోకూడ కూర్చుండెను.

58. But Peter was following Him from a distance, up to the courtyard of the high priest. And entering inside, he sat down with the attendants to see the end.

59. ప్రధానయాజకులును, మహా సభవారందరును, యేసును చంపవలెనని ఆయనకు విరోధముగా అబద్ధసాక్ష్యము వెదకుచుండిరి కాని

59. Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

60. అబద్ధసాక్షులనేకులు వచ్చినను సాక్ష్యమేమియు దొరకలేదు.

60. and they did not find [any]. And though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find [any]. But at last two false witnesses came forward

61. తుదకు ఇద్దరు మనుష్యులు వచ్చివీడు దేవాలయమును పడగొట్టి, మూడు దినములలో దానిని కట్ట గలనని చెప్పెననిరి.

61. and said, "This [Man] said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and after three days to rebuild it.'"

62. ప్రధానయాజకుడు లేచినీవు ఉత్తర మేమియు చెప్పవా? వీరు నీమీద పలుకుచున్న సాక్ష్యమేమని అడుగగా యేసు ఊరకుండెను.

62. And standing up the high priest said to Him, "Do You answer nothing? What is it these men are testifying against You?"

63. అందుకు ప్రధాన యాజకుడు ఆయనను చూచినీవు దేవుని కుమారుడవైన క్రీస్తువైతే ఆ మాట మాతో చెప్పుమని జీవముగల దేవుని తోడని నీకు ఆనబెట్టుచున్నాననెను. అందుకు యేసు– నీవన్నట్టే.
యెషయా 53:7

63. But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I adjure You by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!"

64. ఇది మొదలుకొని మనుష్యకుమారుడు సర్వ శక్తుని కుడిపార్శ్వమున కూర్చుండుటయు, ఆకాశ మేఘా రూఢుడై వచ్చుటయు మీరు చూతురని చెప్పగా

64. Jesus said to him, "You said [it]. Nevertheless, I say to you, from now [on], you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

65. ప్రధానయాజకుడు తన వస్త్రము చింపుకొని--వీడు దేవ దూషణ చేసెను; మనకిక సాక్షులతో పని ఏమి? ఇదిగో ఈ దూషణ మీరిప్పుడు విన్నారు;

65. Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!

66. మీకేమి తోచుచున్నదని అడిగెను. అందుకు వారువీడు మరణమునకు పాత్రుడనిరి.

66. What do you think?" They answered and said, "He is deserving of death."

67. అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన ముఖముమీద ఉమ్మివేసి, ఆయనను గుద్దిరి;

67. Then they spat in His face, and beat Him with [their] fists; and they slapped [Him],

68. కొందరు ఆయనను అర చేతులతో కొట్టిక్రీస్తూ,నిన్ను కొట్టినవాడెవడో ప్రవచింపు మనిరి.

68. saying, "Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is he that struck You?"

69. పేతురు వెలుపటి ముంగిట కూర్చుండియుండగా ఒక చిన్నది అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చినీవును గలిలయుడగు యేసుతో కూడ ఉంటివి గదా అనెను.

69. Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, "You also were with Jesus of Galilee."

70. అందుకతడు నేనుండలేదు; నీవు చెప్పుసంగతి నాకు తెలియదని అందరి యెదుట అనెను.

70. But he denied it before them all, saying, "I do not know what you are saying."

71. అతడు నడవలోనికి వెళ్లిన తరువాత మరి యొక చిన్నది అతనిని చూచివీడును నజరేయుడగు యేసుతోకూడ ఉండెనని అక్కడి వారితో చెప్పగా

71. And when he had gone out to the gateway, another [girl] saw him and said to them there, "This [man] was with Jesus the Nazarene."

72. అతడు ఒట్టుపెట్టుకొని నేనుండలేదు; ఆ మనుష్యుని నేనెరుగనని మరల చెప్పెను.

72. But again he denied with an oath, "I do not know the Man!"

73. కొంతసేపైన తరువాత అక్కడ నిలిచియున్నవారు పేతురునొద్దకు వచ్చి నిజమే, నీవును వారిలో ఒకడవే; నీ పలుకు నిన్నుగూర్చి సాక్ష్య మిచ్చుచున్నదని అతనితో చెప్పిరి.

73. And after a little [while], those standing by came up and said to Peter, "Surely you also are one of them, for your accent gives you away."

74. అందుకు అతడు ఆ మనుష్యుని నేనెరుగనని చెప్పి శపించుకొనుటకును ఒట్టుపెట్టుకొనుటకును మొదలు పెట్టెను. వెంటనే కోడి కూసెను

74. Then he began to curse and swear, saying, "I do not know the Man!" And immediately a rooster crowed.

75. కనుకకోడి కూయక మునుపు నీవు నన్నెరుగనని ముమ్మారు చెప్పెదవని యేసు తనతో అనిన మాట పేతురు జ్ఞాపకము తెచ్చుకొని వెలుపలికి పోయి సంతాప పడి యేడ్చెను.

75. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus which He said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." And going out, he wept bitterly.
