1. ఆయన ఉపమానరీతిగా వారికి బోధింపనారం భించెను; ఎట్లనగాఒక మనుష్యుడు ద్రాక్షతోట నాటించి, దానిచుట్టు కంచె వేయించి, ద్రాక్షలతొట్టి తొలిపించి గోపురము కట్టించి, కాపులకు దానిని గుత్తకిచ్చి దేశాంతరముపోయెను.
యెషయా 5:1-7

1. And he began to speak unto them in similitudes. A certain man planted a vineyard, and compassed it with an hedge, and ordained a winepress, and built a tower in it, and let it out to hire unto husbandmen, and went into a strange country.

2. పంటకాలమందు ఆ కాపుల నుండి ద్రాక్షతోట పండ్లలో తన భాగము తీసికొని వచ్చుటకు, కాపులయొద్దకు అతడు ఒక దాసునిపంపగా

2. And when the time was come he sent to the tenants a servant that he might receive of the tenants of the fruit of the vineyard.

3. వారు వాని పట్టుకొని కొట్టి, వట్టిచేతులతో పంపివేసిరి.
యెహోషువ 22:5

3. And they caught him and beat him and sent him again empty.

4. మరల అతడు మరియొక దాసుని వారియొద్దకు పంపగా, వారు వాని తల గాయముచేసి అవమానపరచిరి.

4. And moreover he sent unto them another servant, and at him they cast stones and brake his head, and sent him again all too reviled.(sent him away shamefully dealt withall)

5. And again he sent another, and him they killed: and many other, beating some, and killing some.

6. Yet had he one son whom he loved tenderly, him also sent he at the last unto them, saying: they will fear my son.(stand in awe of my son)

7. అయితే ఆ కాపులు ఇతడు వారసుడు; ఇతని చంపుదము రండి, అప్పుడు స్వాస్థ్యము మనదగునని తమలోతాము చెప్పుకొని

7. But the tenants said within(amongst) themselves: This is the heir, come let us kill him and the inheritance shall be ours.

8. అతనిని పట్టుకొని చంపి, ద్రాక్షతోట వెలుపల పారవేసిరి.

8. And they took him and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9. కావున ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట యజమానుడేమి చేయును? అతడు వచ్చి, ఆ కాపులను సంహరించి, యితరులకు ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట ఇచ్చును గదా. మరియు

9. What shall then the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants, and let out the vineyard to other.

10. Have ye not read this scripture? the stone which the builders did refuse, is made the chief stone(headstone) in the corner:

11. This was done of the Lord, and is marvelous in our eyes.

12. తమ్మును గూర్చి ఆ ఉపమానము చెప్పెనని వారు గ్రహించి ఆయ నను పట్టుకొనుటకు సమయము చూచుచుండిరి గాని జన సమూహమునకు భయపడి ఆయనను విడిచిపోయిరి.

12. And they went about to take him, but they feared the people. For they perceived that he spake that similitude against them. And they left him and went their way.

13. వారు మాటలలో ఆయనను చిక్కుపరచవలెనని, పరిసయ్యులను హేరోదీయులను కొందరిని ఆయన యొద్దకు పంపిరి.

13. And they sent unto him certain of the pharisees with Herod's servants, to take him in his words.

14. వారు వచ్చిబోధకుడా, నీవు సత్యవంతుడవు; నీవు ఎవనిని లక్ష్యపెట్టనివాడవని మే మెరుగుదుము; నీవు మోమోటములేనివాడవై దేవుని మార్గము సత్యముగా బోధించువాడవు. కైసరుకు పన్నిచ్చుట న్యాయమా కాదా?

14. And as soon as they were come, they said unto him: master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: For thou considerest not the degree of men, but teachest the way of God truly: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Cesar, or not?

15. ఇచ్చెదమా ఇయ్యకుందుమా? అని ఆయన నడిగిరి. ఆయన వారి వేషధారణను ఎరిగిమీరు నన్ను ఎందుకు శోధించుచున్నారు? ఒక దేనారము నా యొద్దకు తెచ్చి చూపుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

15. ought we to give, or ought we not to give? He knew(understood) their dissimulation,(perceived their hypocracy) and said unto them: Why tempt ye me? Bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16. వారు తెచ్చిరి, ఆయనఈ రూపమును, పై వ్రాతయు, ఎవరివని వారి నడుగగా వారుకైసరువి అనిరి.

16. And they brought him one. And he said unto them: Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Cesar's.

17. అందుకు యేసుకైసరువి కైసరునకును దేవునివి దేవునికిని చెల్లించుడని వారితో చెప్పగా వారాయననుగూర్చి బహుగా ఆశ్చర్యపడిరి.

17. And Jesus answered, and said unto them: Then give to Cesar that which belongeth to Cesar: and give(to) God that which pertaineth to God. And they marveled at him.

18. పునరుత్థానము లేదని చెప్పెడి సద్దూకయ్యులు ఆయన యొద్దకువచ్చి

18. And(Then came) the sadducees came unto him, which say, there is no resurrection. And they asked him saying:

19. బోధకుడా, తనభార్య బ్రదికియుండగా ఒకడు పిల్లలు లేక చనిపోయినయెడల వాని సహోదరుడు వాని భార్యను పెండ్లిచేసికొని తన సహోదరునికి సంతా నము కలుగజేయవలెనని మోషే మాకు వ్రాసియిచ్చెను.

19. Master, Moses wrote unto us, if any man's brother die, and leave his wife, behind him, and leave no children: that then his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20. ఏడుగురు సహోదరులుండిరి. మొదటివాడు ఒక స్త్రీని పెండ్లిచేసికొని సంతానములేక చనిపోయెను

20. There were seven brethren and the first took a wife, and when he died left no seed behind him.

21. గనుక రెండవవాడు ఆమెను పెండ్లి చేసికొనెను, వాడును సంతా నము లేక చనిపోయెను; అటువలెనే మూడవవాడును చనిపోయెను.

21. And the second took her, and died: neither left he any seed, and the third likewise.

22. ఇట్లు ఏడుగురును సంతానములేకయే చని పోయిరి. అందరివెనుక ఆ స్త్రీయు చనిపోయెను.

22. And seven had her, and left no seed behind them. Last of all the wife died also.

23. పునరుత్థానమందు వారిలో ఎవనికి ఆమె భార్యగా ఉండును? ఆమె ఆ యేడుగురికిని భార్య ఆయెను గదా అని అడిగిరి.

23. In the resurrection then, when they shall rise again: whose wife shall she be of them? For seven had her to wife.

24. అందుకు యేసుమీరు లేఖనములనుగాని దేవుని శక్తినిగాని యెరుగక పోవుటవలననే పొరబడు చున్నారు.

24. Jesus answered, and said unto them: Are ye not therefore deceived(Do not ye err?) because ye know not(deceived and understand not) the scriptures? Neither the power of God?

25. వారు మృతులలోనుండి లేచునప్పుడు పెండ్లిచేసికొనరు, పెండ్లికియ్యబడరు గాని పరలోక మందున్న దూతలవలె నుందురు.

25. For when they shall rise again from death, they neither marry, nor are married: but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26. వారు లేచెదరని మృతులనుగూర్చిన సంగతి మోషే గ్రంథమందలి పొదను గురించిన భాగములో మీరు చదువలేదా? ఆ భాగములో దేవుడునేను అబ్రాహాము దేవుడను ఇస్సాకు దేవుడను యాకోబు దేవుడనని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

26. As touching the dead, that they shall rise again: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him saying: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27. ఆయన సజీవుల దేవుడు గాని మృతుల దేవుడు కాడు. కావున మీరు బహుగా పొరబడు చున్నారని వారితో చెప్పెను.

27. He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living, ye are therefore greatly deceived.

28. శాస్త్రులలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, వారు తర్కించుట విని, ఆయన వారికి బాగుగా ఉత్తరమిచ్చెనని గ్రహించిఆజ్ఞ లన్నిటిలో ప్రధానమైనదేదని ఆయన నడిగెను.

28. And there came one of the scribes, and when he(that) had heard them disputing together, and perceived that he had answered them well, he(and) asked him: Which is the first of all the commandments?

29. అందుకు యేసు ప్రధానమైనది ఏదనగా ఓ ఇశ్రాయేలూ, వినుము; మన దేవుడైన ప్రభువు అద్వితీయ ప్రభువు.

29. Jesus answered him: the first of all the commandments is. Hear Israel, our(The) Lord God, is one Lord.

30. నీవు నీ పూర్ణహృదయముతోను, నీ పూర్ణాత్మతోను, నీ పూర్ణవివేకముతోను, నీ పూర్ణబలముతోను, నీ దేవుడైన ప్రభువును ప్రేమింపవలె ననునది ప్రధానమైన ఆజ్ఞ.

30. And thou shalt love thy Lord God(the LORD thy God) with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first commandment.

31. రెండవది, నీవు నిన్నువలె నీ పొరుగువానిని ప్రేమింపవలె ననునది రెండవ ఆజ్ఞ; వీటికంటె ముఖ్యమైన ఆజ్ఞ మరే దియు లేదని అతనితో చెప్పెను

31. And the second is like unto this. Thou shalt love thy neighbor, as thy self. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32. ఆ శాస్త్రిబోధకుడా, బాగుగా చెప్పితివి; ఆయన అద్వితీయుడనియు, ఆయన తప్ప వేరొకడు లేడనియు నీవు చెప్పిన మాట సత్యమే.

32. And the scribe said unto him: well master, thou hast said the truth,(said right) that there is one God, and that there is none but he.

33. పూర్ణ హృదయముతోను, పూర్ణవివేకముతోను, పూర్ణ బలముతోను, ఆయనను ప్రేమించుటయు ఒకడు తన్ను వలె తన పొరుగువాని ప్రేమించుటయు సర్వాంగ హోమములన్నిటికంటెను బలులకంటెను అధికమని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను.

33. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the soul, and with all the strength. And to love a man's neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all holocausts(burnt offerings) and sacrifices.

34. అతడు వివేకముగా నుత్తరమిచ్చెనని యేసు గ్రహించి నీవు దేవుని రాజ్యమునకు దూరముగ లేవని అతనితో చెప్పెను. ఆ తరువాత ఎవడును ఆయనను ఏ ప్రశ్నయు అడుగ తెగింపలేదు.

34. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him: Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35. ఒకప్పుడు యేసు దేవాలయములో బోధించుచుండగా క్రీస్తు, దావీదు కుమారుడని శాస్త్రులు చెప్పుచున్నా రేమి?

35. And Jesus answered, and said teaching in the temple: how say the scribes, that Christ is the son of David?

36. నేను నీ శత్రువులను నీకు పాదపీఠముగా ఉంచు వరకు నీవు నా కుడివైపున కూర్చుండుమని ప్రభువు నా ప్రభువుతో చెప్పెను అని దావీదే పరిశుద్ధాత్మవలన చెప్పెను.

36. for David himself inspired with the holy ghost said: The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy foot stool.

37. దావీదు ఆయ నను ప్రభువని చెప్పుచున్నాడే, ఆయన ఏలాగు అతని కుమారుడగునని అడిగెను. సామాన్యజనులు ఆయన మాటలు సంతోషముతో వినుచుండిరి.

37. Then David himself calleth him Lord, and by what means is he then his son? And much people heard him gladly.

38. మరియు ఆయన వారికి బోధించుచు నిట్లనెను శాస్త్రులనుగూర్చి జాగ్రత్తపడుడి. వారు నిలువు టంగీలు ధరించుకొని తిరుగుటను, సంతవీధులలో వందనములను

38. And he said unto(taught) them in his doctrine: beware of the scribes which love to go in long, clothing: and love salutations in the market places,

39. సమాజమందిరములలో అగ్రపీఠములను, విందులలో అగ్ర స్థానములను కోరుచు

39. and the chief seats in the synagogues, and to sit in the uppermost rooms at feasts,

40. విధవరాండ్ర యిండ్లు దిగమింగుచు, మాయవేషముగా దీర్ఘప్రార్థనలు చేయుదురు. వీరు మరి విశేషముగా శిక్ష పొందుదురనెను.

40. and devour widows' houses, and (that) under a colour pray long prayers.(of long praying.) These shall have(receive) greater damnation.

41. ఆయన కానుకపెట్టె యెదుట కూర్చుండి, జనసమూహము ఆ కానుకపెట్టెలో డబ్బులు వేయుట చూచు చుండెను. ధనవంతులైన వారనేకులు అందులో విశేషముగా సొమ్ము వేయుచుండిరి.

41. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people put money into the treasury. And many that were rich, cast in much.

42. ఒక బీద విధవరాలు వచ్చి రెండు కాసులు వేయగా

42. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43. ఆయన తన శిష్యులను పిలిచికానుక పెట్టెలో డబ్బులు వేసిన వారందరికంటె ఈ బీద విధవరాలు ఎక్కువ వేసెనని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

43. And he called unto him his disciples, and said unto them: Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.

44. వారందరు తమకు కలిగిన సమృద్ధిలోనుండి వేసిరి గాని, యీమె తన లేమిలో తనకు కలిగినదంతయు, అనగా తన జీవనమంతయు వేసెనని చెప్పెను.

44. For they all put(did cast) in of their superfluity: But she of her poverty, (did) cast in all that she had, even all her living.
