1. అంతలో ఒకనినొకడు త్రొక్కుకొనునట్లు వేల కొలది జనులు కూడినప్పుడు ఆయన తన శిష్యులతో మొదట ఇట్లని చెప్పసాగెను పరిసయ్యుల వేషధారణ అను పులిసిన పిండినిగూర్చి జాగ్రత్తపడుడి.

1. During which time the myriads of the multitude having gathered together so as to trample each other, he began first to say to his disciples, Take heed to yourselves from the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2. మరుగైన దేదియు బయలుపరచబడకపోదు; రహస్యమైనదేదియు తెలియబడకపోదు.

2. But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

3. అందుచేత మీరు చీకటిలో మాట లాడుకొనునవి వెలుగులో వినబడును, మీరు గదులయందు చెవిలో చెప్పుకొనునది మిద్దెలమీద చాటింపబడును.

3. Therefore, as many things as ye have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4. నా స్నేహితులైన మీతో నేను చెప్పునదేమనగా దేహమును చంపిన తరువాత మరేమియు చేయనేరని వారికి భయపడకుడి.

4. And I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of those who kill the body, and after these things not having anything more severe to do.

5. ఎవనికి మీరు భయపడవలెనో మీకు తెలియజేయుదును; చంపిన తరువాత నరకములో పడద్రోయ శక్తిగలవానికి భయపడుడి, ఆయనకే భయ పడుడని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

5. But I will show you whom ye should fear. Fear him, who, after killing, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear ye him.

6. అయిదు పిచ్చుకలు రెండు కాసులకు అమ్మబడును గదా; అయినను వాటిలో ఒకటైనను దేవునియెదుట మరువబడదు.

6. Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God.

7. మీ తలవెండ్రుక లన్నియు లెక్కింపబడియున్నవి. భయపడకుడి; మీరు అనేకమైన పిచ్చుకలకంటె శ్రేష్ఠులు కారా?

7. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore, ye are superior to many sparrows.

8. మరియు నేను మీతో చెప్పునదేమనగా, నన్ను మనుష్యులయెదుట ఒప్పుకొనువాడెవడో, మనుష్యకుమారుడు దేవుని దూతల యెదుట వానిని ఒప్పుకొనును.

8. And I say to you, every man who will confess in me before men, the Son of man will also confess in him before the agents of God,

9. మనుష్యులయెదుట నన్ను ఎరుగననువానిని, నేనును ఎరుగనని దేవుని దూతలయెదుట చెప్పుదును.

9. but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of the agents of God.

10. మనుష్యకుమారునిమీద వ్యతిరేకముగా ఒక మాట పలుకువానికి పాపక్షమాపణ కలుగునుగాని,పరిశుద్ధాత్మను దూషించువానికి క్షమాపణ లేదు.

10. And every man who will speak a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him, but to him who blasphemed against the Holy Spirit it will not be forgiven.

11. వారు సమాజమందిరముల పెద్దలయొద్దకును అధిపతులయొద్దకును అధికారులయొద్దకును మిమ్మును తీసికొని పోవునప్పుడు మీరుఏలాగు ఏమి ఉత్తర మిచ్చెదమా, యేమి మాటలాడు దుమా అని చింతింప కుడి,

11. And when they bring you to the synagogues, and the principle positions, and the offices of authority, be not anxious how or what ye should answer in defense, or what ye should say,

12. మీరేమి చెప్పవలసినదియు పరిశుద్ధాత్మ ఆ గడియలోనే మీకు నేర్పుననెను.

12. for the Holy Spirit will teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

13. ఆ జనసమూహములో ఒకడుబోధకుడా, పిత్రార్జిత ములో నాకు పాలుపంచిపెట్టవలెనని నా సహోదరునితో చెప్పుమని ఆయన నడుగగా

13. And a certain man out of the crowd said to him, Teacher, speak to my brother to divide the inheritance with me.

14. ఆయన ఓయీ, మీమీద తీర్పరినిగానైనను పంచిపెట్టువానిగానైనను నన్నెవడు నియమించెనని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

14. But he said to him, Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbitrator over you?

15. మరియు ఆయన వారితోమీరు ఏవిధమైన లోభమునకు ఎడమియ్యక జాగ్రత్తపడుడి; ఒకని కలిమి విస్తరించుట వాని జీవమునకు మూలము కాదనెను.

15. And he said to them, Watch, and keep away from greed, because to any man, life to him is not in the abundance of things possessed by him.

16. మరియు ఆయన వారితో ఈ ఉపమానము చెప్పెను ఒక ధనవంతుని భూమి సమృద్ధిగా పండెను.

16. And he spoke a parable to them, saying, The land of a certain rich man brought forth well.

17. అప్పుడతడునా పంట సమకూర్చుకొనుటకు నాకు స్థలము చాలదు గనుక నేనేమి చేతునని తనలో తానాలోచించుకొని నేనీలాగు చేతును;

17. And he pondered within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have nowhere I will store my crops?

18. నా కొట్లు విప్పి, వాటికంటె గొప్పవాటిని కట్టించి, అందులో నా ధాన్యమంతటిని, నా ఆస్తిని సమకూర్చుకొని

18. And he said, I will do this. I will dismantle my barns, and I will build greater, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.

19. నా ప్రాణముతోప్రాణమా, అనేక సంవత్సరములకు,విస్తార మైన ఆస్తి నీకు సమకూర్చబడియున్నది; సుఖించుము, తినుము, త్రాగుము, సంతోషించుమని చెప్పు కొందునను కొనెను.

19. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou have many goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.

20. అయితే దేవుడు వెఱ్ఱివాడా, యీ రాత్రి నీ ప్రాణము నడుగుచున్నారు; నీవు సిద్ధపరచినవి ఎవని వగునని ఆతనితో చెప్పెను.

20. But God said to him, Thou foolish man, they demand thy soul from thee this night, and the things that thou prepared, whose will they be?

21. దేవుని యెడల ధనవంతుడు కాక తనకొరకే సమకూర్చుకొనువాడు ఆలాగుననే యుండునని చెప్పెను.

21. So is he who stores up for himself, and is not being rich toward God.

22. అంతట ఆయన తన శిష్యులతో ఇట్లనెను–ఈ హేతువుచేత మీరు – ఏమి తిందుమో, అని మీ ప్రాణమునుగూర్చియైనను, ఏమి ధరించుకొందుమో, అని మీ దేహమునుగూర్చియైనను చింతింపకుడి.

22. And he said to his disciples, Because of this I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, nor for the body, what ye may wear.

23. ఆహారముకంటె ప్రాణమును వస్త్రముకంటె దేహమును గొప్పవి కావా?

23. For the life is more than the food, and the body, the clothing.

24. కాకుల సంగతి విచారించి చూడుడి. అవి విత్తవు, కోయవు, వాటికి గరిసెలేదు, కొట్టులేదు; అయినను దేవుడు వాటిని పోషించుచున్నాడు; మీరు పక్షులకంటె ఎంతో శ్రేష్ఠులు.

24. Consider the ravens, because they do not sow, nor do they reap, for which there is no storehouse nor barn, and God feeds them. How much ye are worth more than the birds.

25. మరియు మీలో ఎవడు చింతిచుటవలన తన యెత్తును మూరెడెక్కువ చేసికొన గలడు?

25. And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his age?

26. కాబట్టి అన్నిటికంటె తక్కువైనవి మీచేత కాకపోతే తక్కిన వాటిని గూర్చి మీరు చింతింపనేల? పువ్వులేలాగు ఎదుగుచున్నవో ఆలోచించుడి.

26. If then ye are not able to do even the least, why are ye anxious about the rest?

27. Consider the lilies, how they grow. They toil not, nor do they spin, and I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these.

28. నేడు పొలములో ఉండి, రేపు పొయిలోవేయబడు అడవి గడ్డిని దేవుడీలాగు అలంకరించినయెడల, అల్ప విశ్వాసులారా, మీకు మరి ఎంతో నిశ్చయముగా వస్త్రములనిచ్చును.

28. And if God so clothes the grass in the field, which today is, and tomorrow being cast into the oven, how much more you, O ye of little faith?

29. ఏమి తిందుమో, యేమి త్రాగుదుమో, అని విచారింపకుడి, అనుమానము కలిగియుండకుడి.

29. And do not seek what ye may eat, and what ye may drink, and do not be unsettled.

30. ఈ లోకపు జనులు వీటినన్నిటిని వెదకుదురు; ఇవి మీకు కావలసియున్నవని మీ తండ్రికి తెలియును.

30. For the nations of the world seek all these things, and your Father knows that ye have need of these things.

31. మీరైతే ఆయన రాజ్యమును వెదకుడి, దానితో కూడ ఇవి మీ కనుగ్రహింపబడును.

31. However, seek ye the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you.

32. చిన్న మందా భయపడకుడి, మీకు రాజ్యము అనుగ్రహించుటకు మీ తండ్రికి ఇష్టమైయున్నది

32. Fear not, little flock, because your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.

33. మీకు కలిగినవాటిని అమ్మి ధర్మము చేయుడి, పాతగిలని సంచులను పరలోకమందు అక్షయమైన ధనమును సంపాదించుకొనుడి; అక్కడికి దొంగరాడు, చిమ్మెటకొట్టదు

33. Sell things possessed by you, and give charity. Make for yourselves purses not becoming old, a treasure unfailing in the heavens, where no thief approaches, nor moth corrupts.

34. మీ ధనమెక్కడ ఉండునో అక్కడనే మీ హృదయము ఉండును.

34. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

35. మీ నడుములు కట్టుకొనియుండుడి, మీ దీపములు వెలుగుచుండనియ్యుడి.

35. Let your loins be girded about, and the lights burning,

36. తమ ప్రభువు పెండ్లివిందునుండి వచ్చి తట్టగానే అతనికి తలుపుతీయుటకు అతడెప్పుడు వచ్చునో అని అతనికొరకు ఎదురు చూచు మనుష్యులవలె ఉండుడి.

36. and be ye like men waiting for their lord, when he may return from the wedding festivities, so that when he comes and knocks, they may straightaway open to him.

37. ప్రభువు వచ్చి యే దాసులు మెలకువగా ఉండుట కనుగొనునో ఆ దాసులు ధన్యులు; అతడు నడుము కట్టుకొని వారిని భోజన పంక్తిని కూర్చుండబెట్టి, తానే వచ్చి వారికి ఉపచారము చేయునని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

37. Blessed are those bondmen whom the lord when he comes will find watching. Truly I say to you, that he will gird himself, and will cause them to sit down, and having come, will serve them.

38. మరియు అతడు రెండవ జామున వచ్చినను మూడవ జామున వచ్చినను (ఏ దాసులు) మెలకువగా ఉండుట కనుగొనునో ఆ దాసులు ధన్యులు.

38. And if he should come in the second watch, and should come in the third watch, and find so, blessed are those bondmen.

39. దొంగయే గడియను వచ్చునో యింటి యజమానునికి తెలిసినయెడల అతడు మెలకువగా ఉండి, తన యింటికి కన్నము వేయనియ్యడని తెలిసికొనుడి.

39. But know this, that if the house-ruler had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

40. మీరు అనుకొనని గడియలో మనుష్యకుమారుడు వచ్చును గనుక మీరును సిద్ధముగా ఉండుడని చెప్పెను.

40. Therefore, ye also become ready, because the Son of man comes at that hour ye do not suppose.

41. అప్పుడు పేతురు ప్రభువా, యీ ఉపమానము మాతోనే చెప్పుచున్నావా అందరితోను చెప్పుచు న్నావా? అని ఆయన నడుగగా

41. And Peter said to him, Lord, did thou speak this parable to us, or also to all?

42. ప్రభువు ఇట్లనెను తగిన కాలమున ప్రతివానికి ఆహారము పెట్టుటకు, యజమానుడు తన యింటివారిమీద నియమించునట్టి నమ్మకమైన బుద్ధిగల గృహనిర్వాహకుడెవడు?

42. And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise manager whom his lord will appoint over his service to give the provision on time?

43. ఎవని ప్రభువు వచ్చి, వాడు ఆలాగు చేయుచుండుట కనుగొనునో ఆ దాసుడు ధన్యుడు.

43. Blessed is that bondman whom his lord when he comes will find so doing.

44. అతడు తనకు కలిగినదాని యంతటిమీద వాని ఉంచునని మీతో నిజముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

44. Truly I say to you, that he will appoint him over the things being possessed by him.

45. అయితే ఆ దాసుడు నా యజమానుడు వచ్చుట కాలస్యము చేయుచున్నాడని తన మనస్సులో అనుకొని, దాసులను దాసీలనుకొట్టి, తిని త్రాగిమత్తుగా ఉండసాగితే

45. But if that bondman should say in his heart, My lord is late to come, and should begin to beat the servant boys and the servant girls, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,

46. వాడు కనిపెట్టని దినములోను ఎరుగని గడియలోను ఆ దాసుని యజమానుడు వచ్చి వాని నరికించి, అపనమ్మకస్థులతో వానికి పాలు నియమించును.

46. the lord of that bondman will arrive in a day that he does not expect, and in an hour that he is not aware, and will cut him in two, and will place his portion with the unbelieving.

47. తన యజమానుని చిత్త మెరిగి యుండియు సిద్ధపడక, అతని చిత్తముచొప్పున జరిగింపక ఉండు దాసునికి అనేకమైన దెబ్బలు తగులును.

47. And that bondman who knew his lord's will, and who did not prepare, nor do according to his will, will be beaten much,

48. అయితే తెలియక దెబ్బలకు తగిన పనులు చేసినవానికి కొద్ది దెబ్బలే తగులును. ఎవనికి ఎక్కువగా ఇయ్య బడెనో వానియొద్ద ఎక్కువగా తీయజూతురు; మనుష్యులు ఎవనికి ఎక్కువగా అప్పగింతురో వాని యొద్ద ఎక్కువగా అడుగుదురు.

48. but he who did not know, and did things worthy of blows, will be beaten little. And to every man to whom much was given, much will be required from him. And to whom they entrust much, they will ask him more abundantly.

49. నేను భూమిమీద అగ్నివేయ వచ్చితిని; అది ఇదివరకే రగులుకొని మండవలెనని యెంతో కోరుచున్నాను.

49. I came to cast fire upon the earth, and what I desire is if it were kindled already.

50. అయితే నేను పొందవలసిన బాప్తిస్మమున్నది, అది నెరవేరు వరకు నేనెంతో ఇబ్బందిపడుచున్నాను.

50. But I have an immersion to be immersed, and how am I constrained until it will be accomplished.

51. నేను భూమి మీద సమాధానము కలుగజేయ వచ్చి తినని మీరు తలంచు చున్నారా? కాదు; భేదమునే కలుగ జేయవచ్చితినని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.

51. Do ye suppose that I came to give peace on the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.

52. ఇప్పుటినుండి ఒక ఇంటిలో అయిదుగురు వేరుపడి, ఇద్దరికి విరోధ ముగా ముగ్గురును, ముగ్గురికి విరోధముగా యిద్దరును ఉందురు.

52. For henceforth there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

53. తండ్రి కుమారునికిని, కుమారుడు తండ్రికిని, తల్లి కుమార్తెకును, కుమార్తె తల్లికిని, అత్త కోడలికిని, కోడలు అత్తకును విరోధులుగా ఉందురని చెప్పెను.

53. A father will be divided against a son, and a son against a father, a mother against a daughter, and a daughter against a mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

54. మరియు ఆయన జనసమూహములతో ఇట్లనెను మీరు పడమటనుండి మబ్బు పైకి వచ్చుట చూచు నప్పుడు వానవచ్చుచున్నదని వెంటనే చెప్పుదురు; ఆలాగే జరుగును.

54. And he also said to the multitudes, When ye see a cloud rising from the west, straightaway ye say, A shower is coming, and so it happens.

55. దక్షిణపు గాలి విసరుట చూచునప్పుడు వడగాలి కొట్టునని చెప్పుదురు; ఆలాగే జరుగును.

55. And when a south wind is blowing, ye say, There will be heat, and it happens.

56. వేషధారులారా, మీరు భూమ్యాకాశముల వైఖరి గుర్తింప నెరుగుదురు; ఈ కాలమును మీరు గుర్తింప నెరుగరేల?

56. Ye hypocrites, ye know how to examine the face of the earth and the sky, but how can ye not examine this season?

57. ఏది న్యాయమో మీ అంతట మీరు విమర్శింపరేల?

57. And also why do ye not judge yourselves what is right?

58. వాదించువానితో కూడ అధికారియొద్దకు నీవు వెళ్లుచుండగా అతని చేతినుండి తప్పించుకొనుటకు త్రోవలోనే ప్రయత్నము చేయుము,లేదా, అతడొకవేళ నిన్ను న్యాయాధిపతియొద్దకు ఈడ్చుకొని పోవును, న్యాయాధిపతి నిన్ను బంట్రౌతునకు అప్పగించును, బంట్రౌతు నిన్ను చెరసాలలో వేయును.

58. For when thou go with thine opponent to the magistrate on the way give effort to be delivered from him, lest he may drag thee to the judge, and the judge may deliver thee to the officer, and the officer would cast thee into prison.

59. నీవు కడపటి కాసు చెల్లించువరకు వెలుపలికి రానే రావని నీతో చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

59. I say to thee, thou will, no, not come out from there, until thou have paid even the last mite.
