1. అననీయ అను ఒక మనుష్యుడు తన భార్యయైన సప్పీరాతో ఏకమై పొలమమ్మెను.

1. But a certaine man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, solde a possession,

2. భార్య యెరుకనే వాడు దాని వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని కొంత తెచ్చి అపొస్తలుల పాదములయొద్ద పెట్టెను.

2. And kept away part of the price, his wife also being of counsell, and brought a certaine part, and layde it downe at the Apostles feete.

3. అప్పుడు పేతురు అననీయా, నీ భూమి వెలలో కొంత దాచుకొని పరి శుద్ధాత్మను మోసపుచ్చుటకు సాతాను ఎందుకు నీ హృదయమును ప్రేరేపించెను. ?

3. Then saide Peter, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart, that thou shouldest lye vnto the holy Ghost, and keepe away part of the price of this possession?

4. అది నీయొద్ద నున్నపుడు నీదే గదా? అమ్మిన పిమ్మట అది నీ వశమై యుండలేదా? యెందుకు ఈ సంగతి నీ హృదయములో ఉద్దేశించు కొన్నావు? నీవు మనుష్యులతో కాదు దేవునితోనే అబద్ధమాడితివని వానితో చెప్పెను.

4. Whiles it remained, appertained it not vnto thee? and after it was solde, was it not in thine owne power? howe is it that thou hast conceiued this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lyed vnto men, but vnto God.

5. అననీయ యీ మాటలు వినుచునే పడి ప్రాణము విడువగా వినినవారి కందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను;

5. Now when Ananias heard these wordes, he fell downe, and gaue vp the ghost. Then great feare came on all them that heard these things.

6. అప్పుడు పడుచు వారు లేచి వానిని బట్టతో చుట్టి మోసికొనిపోయి పాతిపెట్టిరి.

6. And the yong men rose vp, and tooke him vp, and caried him out, and buried him.

7. ఇంచుమించు మూడు గంటల సేపటికి వానిభార్య జరిగినది యెరుగక లోపలికి వచ్చెను.

7. And it came to passe about the space of three houres after, that his wife came in, ignorant of that which was done.

8. అప్పుడు పేతురుమీరు ఆ భూమిని ఇంతకే అమ్మితిరా నాతో చెప్పుమని ఆమెను అడిగెను. అందుకామె అవును ఇంతకే అని చెప్పెను.

8. And Peter sayd vnto her, Tell me, solde ye the land for so much? And she sayd, Yea, for so much.

9. అందుకు పేతురు ప్రభువుయొక్క ఆత్మను శోధించుటకు మీరెందుకు ఏకీభవించితిరి? ఇదిగో నీ పెనిమిటిని పాతిపెట్టినవారి పాదములు వాకిటనే యున్నవి; వారు నిన్నును మోసికొని పోవుదురని ఆమెతొ చెప్పెను.

9. Then Peter sayde vnto her, Why haue ye agreed together, to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? beholde, the feete of them which haue buried thine husband, are at the doore, and shall carie thee out.

10. వెంటనే ఆమె అతని పాదములయొద్ద పడి ప్రాణము విడిచెను. ఆ పడుచువారు, లోపలికి వచ్చి, ఆమె చనిపోయినది చూచి, ఆమెను మోసికొనిపోయి, ఆమె పెనిమిటియొద్ద పాతిపెట్టిరి.

10. Then she fell downe straightway at his feete, and yeelded vp the ghost: and the yong men came in, and found her dead, and caried her out, and buried her by her husband.

11. సంఘమంతటికిని, ఈ సంగతులు వినినవారికందరికిని మిగుల భయము కలిగెను.

11. And great feare came on all the Church, and on as many as heard these things.

12. ప్రజలమధ్య అనేకమైన సూచకక్రియలును మహ త్కార్యములును అపొస్తలులచేత చేయబడుచుండెను. మరియు వారందరు ఏకమనస్కులై సొలొమోను మంటప ములో ఉండిరి.

12. Thus by the hands of the Apostles were many signes and wonders shewed among the people (and they were all with one accorde in Salomons porche.

13. కడమవారిలో ఎవడును వారితో కలిసి కొనుటకు తెగింపలేదు గాని

13. And of the other durst no man ioyne him selfe to them: neuerthelesse the people magnified them.

14. ప్రజలు వారిని ఘనపరచు చుండిరి. పురుషులును స్త్రీలును అనేకులు మరియెక్కువగ విశ్వాసులై ప్రభువు పక్షమున చేర్చబడిరి.

14. Also the number of them that beleeued in the Lord, both of men and women, grewe more and more)

15. అందు చేత పేతురు వచ్చుచుండగా జనులు రోగులను వీధులలోనికి తెచ్చి, వారిలో ఎవనిమీదనైనను అతని నీడయైనను పడవలెనని మంచములమీదను పరుపులమీదను వారిని ఉంచిరి.

15. In so much that they brought the sicke into the streetes, and layd them on beds and couches, that at the least way the shadowe of Peter, when he came by, might shadow some of them.

16. మరియు యెరూషలేము చుట్టునుండు పట్టణముల జనులు రోగులను అపవిత్రాత్మలచేత పీడింప బడిన వారిని మోసికొని కూడివచ్చిరి. వారందరు స్వస్థత పొందిరి.

16. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about vnto Hierusalem, bringing sicke folkes, and them which were vexed with vncleane spirits, who were all healed.

17. ప్రధానయాజకుడును అతనితో కూడ ఉన్నవారందరును, అనగా సద్దూకయ్యుల తెగవారు లేచి మత్సరముతో నిండుకొని

17. Then the chiefe Priest rose vp, and all they that were with him (which was the sect of the Sadduces) and were full of indignation,

18. అపొస్తలులను బలాత్కారముగా పట్టుకొని పట్టణపు చెరసాలలో ఉంచిరి.

18. And laide hands on the Apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19. అయితే ప్రభువు దూత రాత్రివేళ ఆ చెరసాల తలుపులు తీసి వారిని వెలుపలికి తీసికొని వచ్చిమీరు వెళ్లి దేవాలయములో నిలువబడి

19. But the Angel of the Lord, by night opened the prison doores, and brought them forth, and sayd,

20. ఈ జీవమునుగూర్చిన మాటలన్నియు ప్రజలతో చెప్పుడని వారితో అనెను.

20. Go your way, and stand in the Temple, and speake to the people, all the wordes of this life.

21. వారామాట విని, తెల్లవారగానే దేవాలయములోనికి వెళ్లి బోధించుచుండిరి. ప్రధాన యాజకుడును అతనితోకూడ నున్న వారును వచ్చి, మహా సభవారిని ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పెద్దలనందరిని పిలువనంపించివారిని తోడుకొని రండని బంట్రౌతులను చెరసాలకు పంపిరి.

21. So when they heard it, they entred into the Temple early in the morning, and taught. And the chiefe Priest came, and they that were with him, and called the Councill together, and all the Elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison, to cause them to be brought.

22. బంట్రౌతులు అక్కడికి వెళ్లినప్పుడు వారు చెరసాలలో కనబడనందున తిరిగివచ్చి

22. But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and tolde it,

23. చెరసాల బహు భద్రముగా మూసియుండుటయు, కావలివారు తలుపుల ముందర నిలిచియుండుటయు చూచితివిు గాని తలుపులు తీసినప్పుడు లోపల మాకొకడైనను కనబడలేదని వారికి తెలిపిరి.

23. Saying, Certainely we founde the prison shut as sure as was possible, and the keepers standing without, before the doores: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

24. అంతట దేవాలయపు అధిపతియు ప్రధాన యాజకులును ఆ మాటలు వినిఇది యేమవునో అని వారి విషయమై యెటుతోచక యుండిరి.

24. Then when the chiefe Priest, and the captaine of the Temple, and the hie Priestes heard these things, they doubted of them, whereunto this would growe.

25. అప్పుడు ఒకడు వచ్చిఇదిగో మీరు చెరసాలలో వేయించిన మనుష్యులు దేవాలయములో నిలిచి ప్రజలకు బోధించుచున్నారని వారికి తెలుపగా

25. Then came one and shewed them, saying, Beholde, the men that ye put in prison, are standing in the Temple, and teach the people.

26. అధిపతి బంట్రౌతులతో కూడ పోయి, ప్రజలు రాళ్లతో కొట్టుదురేమో అని భయపడి, బలాత్కారము చేయకయే వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చెను.

26. Then went the captaine with the officers, and brought them without violence (for they feared the people, lest they should haue bene stoned)

27. వారిని తీసికొని వచ్చి సభలో నిలువబెట్టగా

27. And when they had brought them, they set them before the Councill, and the chiefe Priest asked them,

28. ప్రధానయాజకుడు వారిని చూచిమీరు ఈ నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడdదని మేము మీకు ఖండితముగా ఆజ్ఞాపింపలేదా? ఇదిగో మీరు యెరూషలేమును మీ బోధతో నింపి, యీ మనుష్యుని హత్య మామీదికి తేవలెనని ఉద్దేశించుచున్నారని చెప్పెను.

28. Saying, Did not we straightly commaund you, that ye should not teach in this Name? and behold, ye haue filled Hierusale with your doctrine, and ye would bring this mans blood vpon vs.

29. అందుకు పేతురును అపొస్తలులునుమనుష్యలకు కాదు దేవునికే మేము లోబడవలెను గదా.

29. Then Peter and the Apostles answered, and sayd, We ought rather to obey God then men.

30. మీరు మ్రానున వ్రేలాడవేసి సంహరించిన యేసును మన పితరుల దేవుడు లేపెను.
ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 21:22-23

30. The God of our fathers hath raised vp Iesus, whom ye slewe, and hanged on a tree.

31. ఇశ్రాయేలునకు మారుమనస్సును పాప క్షమాపణను దయచేయుటకై దేవుడాయనను అధిపతిని గాను రక్షకునిగాను తన దక్షిణహస్తబలముచేత హెచ్చించి యున్నాడు.

31. Him hath God lift vp with his right hand, to be a Prince and a Sauiour, to giue repentance to Israel, and forgiuenes of sinnes.

32. మేమును, దేవుడు తనకు విధేయులైన వారికి అనుగ్రహించిన పరిశుద్ధాత్మయు, ఈ సంగతులకు సాక్షులమై యున్నామని చెప్పిరి.

32. And we are his witnesses concerning these things which we say: yea, and the holy Ghost, whome God hath giuen to them that obey him.

33. వారు ఈ మాట విని అత్యాగ్రహము తెచ్చుకొని వీరిని చంప నుద్దేశించగా

33. Now when they heard it, they brast for anger, and consulted to slay them.

34. సమస్త ప్రజలవలన ఘనత నొందినవాడును ధర్మశాస్త్రోపదేశకుడునైన గమలీయేలను ఒక పరిసయ్యుడు మహాసభలో లేచిఈ మనుష్యులను కొంత సేపు వెలుపల ఉంచుడని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

34. Then stoode there vp in the Councill a certaine Pharise named Gamaliel, a doctour of the Lawe, honoured of all the people, and commanded to put the Apostles forth a litle space,

35. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, యీ మనుష్యుల విషయమై మీరేమి చేయబోవుచున్నారో జాగ్రత్తసుమండి.

35. And sayd vnto them, Men of Israel, take heede to your selues, what ye intende to doe touching these men.

36. ఈ దినములకు మునుపు థూదా లేచి తానొక గొప్ప వాడనని చెప్పుకొనెను; ఇంచుమించు నన్నూరుమంది మనుష్యులు వానితో కలిసి కొనిరి, వాడు చంపబడెను, వానికి లోబడిన వారందరును చెదరి వ్యర్థులైరి.

36. For before these times, rose vp Theudas boasting himselfe, to whom resorted a number of men, about a foure hundreth, who was slaine: and they all which obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

37. వానికి తరువాత జనసంఖ్య దినములలో గలిలయుడైన యూదా అను ఒకడు వచ్చి, ప్రజలను తనతో కూడ తిరుగుబాటుచేయ ప్రేరేపించెను; వాడుకూడ నశించెను, వానికి లోబడినవారందరును చెదరి పోయిరి.

37. After this man, arose vp Iudas of Galile, in the dayes of the tribute, and drewe away much people after him: hee also perished, and all that obeyed him, were scattered abroad.

38. కాబట్టి నేను మీతో చెప్పునదేమనగా ఈ మనుష్యుల జోలికి పోక వారిని విడిచిపెట్టుడి. ఈ ఆలోచనయైనను ఈ కార్యమైనను మనుష్యులవలన కలిగిన దాయెనా అది వ్యర్థమగును.

38. And nowe I say vnto you, Refraine your selues from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsell, or this worke be of men, it will come to nought:

39. దేవునివలన కలిగినదాయెనా మీరు వారిని వ్యర్థపరచలేరు; మీరొకవేళ దేవునితో పోరాడువారవుదురు సుమీ.

39. But if it be of God, ye can not destroy it, lest ye be found euen fighters against God.

40. వారతని మాటకు సమ్మతించి, అపొస్తలులను పిలిపించి కొట్టించియేసు నామమునుబట్టి బోధింపకూడదని ఆజ్ఞాపించి వారిని విడుదల చేసిరి.

40. And to him they agreed, and called the Apostles: and when they had beaten them, they commanded that they should not speake in the Name of Iesus, and let them goe.

41. ఆ నామముకొరకు అవమానము పొందుటకు పాత్రులని యెంచబడినందున వారు సంతోషించుచు మహాసభ యెదుటనుండి వెళ్లిపోయి

41. So they departed from the Councill, reioycing, that they were counted worthy to suffer rebuke for his Name.

42. ప్రతిదినము దేవాలయములోను ఇంటింటను మానక బోధించుచు, యేసే క్రీస్తని ప్రకటించుచుండిరి.

42. And dayly in the Temple, and from house to house they ceased not to teach, and preach Iesus Christ.
