1. దేవుని చిత్తమువలన క్రీస్తు యేసుయొక్క అపొస్తలుడైన పౌలును, మన సహోదరుడైన తిమోతియును, కొరింథులో నున్న దేవుని సంఘమునకును, అకయయందంతటనున్న పరిశుద్ధులకందరికిని శుభమని చెప్పి వ్రాయునది.

1. I, Paul, am writing this letter. I am an apostle of Christ Jesus just as God planned. Timothy our brother joins me in writing. We are sending this letter to you, the members of God's church in Corinth. It is also for all of God's people everywhere in Achaia.

2. మన తండ్రియైన దేవునినుండియు ప్రభువైన యేసుక్రీస్తు నుండియు కృపయు సమాధానమును మీకు కలుగును గాక.

2. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

3. కనికరము చూపు తండ్రి, సమస్తమైన ఆదరణను అనుగ్రహించు దేవుడు, మన ప్రభువైన యేసుక్రీస్తుతండ్రియునైన దేవుడు స్తుతింపబడునుగాక.

3. Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who gives tender love. All comfort comes from him.

4. దేవుడు మమ్మును ఏ ఆదరణతో ఆదరించుచున్నాడో, ఆ ఆదరణతో ఎట్టి శ్రమలలో ఉన్నవారినైనను ఆదరించుటకు శక్తిగలవార మగునట్లు, ఆయన మాశ్రమ అంతటిలో మమ్మును ఆదరించు చున్నాడు.

4. He comforts us in all our troubles. Now we can comfort others when they are in trouble. We ourselves have received comfort from God.

5. We share the sufferings of Christ. We also share his comfort.

6. మేము శ్రమ పొందినను మీ ఆదరణకొరకును రక్షణకొరకును పొందుదుము; మేమాదరణ పొందినను మీ ఆదరణకొరకై పొందుదుము. ఈ ఆదరణ, మేముకూడ పొందుచున్నట్టి ఆ శ్రమలను ఓపికతో సహించుటకు కార్యసాధకమై యున్నది.

6. If we are having trouble, it is so that you will be comforted and renewed. If we are comforted, it is so that you will be comforted. Then you will be able to put up with the same suffering we have gone through.

7. మీరు శ్రమలలో ఏలాగు పాలివారైయున్నారో, ఆలాగే ఆదరణలోను పాలివారైయున్నారని యెరుగుదుము గనుక మిమ్మునుగూర్చిన మా నిరీక్షణ స్థిరమైయున్నది.

7. Our hope for you remains firm. We know that you suffer just as we do. In the same way, God comforts you just as he comforts us.

8. సహోదరులారా, ఆసియలో మాకు తటస్థించిన శ్రమనుగూర్చి మీకు తెలియకుండుట మాకిష్టములేదు; అదేదనగా మేము బ్రదుకుదుమను నమ్మకములేక యుండునట్లుగా, మా శక్తికి మించిన అత్యధిక భారమువలన క్రుంగిపోతివిు.

8. Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the hard times we suffered in Asia Minor. We were having a lot of trouble. It was far more than we could stand. We even thought we were going to die.

9. మరియు మృతులను లేపు దేవునియందేగాని, మాయందే మేము నమ్మిక యుంచకుండునట్లు మరణమగుదుమను నిశ్చయము మామట్టుకు మాకు కలిగియుండెను.

9. In fact, in our hearts we felt as if we were under the sentence of death. But that happened so that we would not depend on ourselves but on God. He raises the dead to life.

10. God has saved us from deadly dangers. And he will continue to do it. We have put our hope in him. He will continue to save us.

11. You must help us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because of what will happen to us. They will thank God for his kindness to us in answer to the prayers of many.

12. మా అతిశయమేదనగా, లౌకిక జ్ఞానము ననుసరింపక, దేవుడనుగ్రహించు పరిశుద్ధతతోను నిష్కాపట్యముతోను దేవుని కృపనే అనుసరించి లోకములో నడుచుకొంటి మనియు, విశేషముగా మీయెడలను నడుచుకొంటిమనియు, మా మనస్సాక్షి సాక్ష్యమిచ్చుటయే

12. Here is what we take pride in. Our sense of what is right and wrong gives witness that we have acted in God's holy and honest ways. That is how we live in the world. We live that way most of all when we are dealing with you. Our way of living is not wise in the eyes of the world. But it is in keeping with God's grace.

13. మీరు చదువుకొని పూర్తిగా గ్రహించిన సంగతులు తప్ప, మరేవియు మీకు వ్రాయుట లేదు; కడవరకు వీటిని ఒప్పుకొందురని నిరీక్షించుచున్నాము.

13. We are writing only what you can read and understand. And here is what I hope.

14. Up to this point you have understood some of the things we have said. But now I hope that someday you will be able to take pride in us, just as we will take pride in you on the day the Lord Jesus returns. When you are able to do that, you will understand us completely.

15. I was sure of those things. So I planned to visit you first. Here is how I thought you would be helped twice.

17. When I planned all of that, did I do it without much thought? No. I don't make my plans the way the world makes theirs. In the same breath the world says, 'Yes! Yes!' and 'No! No!'

18. దేవుడు నమ్మదగినవాడు గనుక మేము మీకు చెప్పిన వాక్యము అవునని చెప్పి కాదనునట్టుగా ఉండలేదు.

18. But just as sure as God is faithful, our message to you is not 'Yes' and 'No.'

19. Silas, Timothy and I preached to you about the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Our message did not say 'Yes' and 'No' at the same time. The message of Christ has always been 'Yes.'

20. దేవుని వాగ్దానములు ఎన్నియైనను అన్నియు క్రీస్తునందు అవునన్నట్టుగానే యున్నవి గనుక మనద్వారా దేవునికి మహిమ కలుగుటకై అవి ఆయనవలన నిశ్చయములై యున్నవి.

20. God has made a great many promises. They are all 'Yes' because of what Christ has done. So through Christ we say 'Amen.' We want God to receive glory.

21. మీతో కూడ క్రీస్తునందు నిలిచియుండునట్లుగా మమ్మును స్థిరపరచి అభిషేకించినవాడు దేవుడే.

21. He makes both us and you stand firm because we belong to Christ. He anointed us.

22. ఆయన మనకు ముద్రవేసి, మన హృదయములలో మనకు ఆత్మ అను సంచకరువును అనుగ్రహించి యున్నాడు.

22. He put his Spirit in our hearts and marked us as his own. We can now be sure that he will give us everything he promised us.

23. మీయందు కనికరము కలిగినందున నేను మరల కొరింథునకు రాలేదు. నా ప్రాణముతోడు ఇందుకు దేవునిని సాక్షిగా పెట్టుచున్నాను.

23. I call God as my witness. I wanted to spare you. So I didn't return to Corinth.

24. మీ విశ్వాసము మీద మేము ప్రభువులమని యీలాగు చెప్పుటలేదు గాని మీ ఆనందమునకు సహకారులమై యున్నాము; విశ్వాసముచేతనే మీరు నిలుకడగా ఉన్నారు.

24. Your faith is not under our control. You stand firm in your own faith. But we work together with you for your joy.
