1. మీ ఎదుట నున్నప్పుడు మీలో అణకువగలవాడనైనట్టియు, ఎదుట లేనప్పుడు మీయెడల ధైర్యము గలవాడనైనట్టియు, పౌలను నేనే యేసుక్రీస్తుయొక్క సాత్వికమును మృదుత్వమునుబట్టి మిమ్మును వేడుకొను చున్నాను.

1. Now it is I myself, Sha'ul, making an appeal to you with the meekness and forbearance that come from the Messiah, I who am considered timid when face-to-face with you but intimidating from a distance.

2. శరీరప్రకారము నడుచుకొనువారమని మమ్మునుగూర్చి కొందరనుకొనుచున్నారు కారా? అట్టి వారియెడల నేను తెగించి కాఠిన్యము చూపవలెనని తలంచుకొనుచున్నాను గాని, నేను వచ్చినప్పుడు అట్లు కాఠిన్యమును చూపకుండునట్లు చేయుడని నేను మిమ్మును బతిమాలుకొనుచున్నాను.

2. But I beg you not to force me to be intimidating when I am with you, as I expect to be toward some who regard us as living in a worldly way.

3. మేము శరీరధారులమై నడుచు కొనుచున్నను శరీరప్రకారము యుద్ధముచేయము.

3. For although we do live in the world, we do not wage war in a worldly way;

4. మా యుద్ధోపకరణములు శరీరసంబంధమైనవి కావుగాని, దేవుని యెదుట దుర్గములను పడద్రోయజాలినంత బలముకలవై యున్నవి.

4. because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God's power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments

5. మేము వితర్కములను, దేవునిగూర్చిన జ్ఞానమును అడ్డగించు ప్రతి ఆటంకమును పడద్రోసి, ప్రతి ఆలోచనను క్రీస్తుకు లోబడునట్లు చెరపట్టి

5. and every arrogance that raises itself up against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey the Messiah.

6. మీరు సంపూర్ణ విధేయతను కనుపరచినప్పుడు సమస్తమైన అవిధేయతకు ప్రతిదండనచేయ సిద్ధపడి యున్నాము.

6. And when you have become completely obedient, then we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience.

7. సంగతులను పైపైననే మీరు చూచుచున్నారు, ఎవడైనను తాను క్రీస్తువాడనని నమ్ముకొనినయెడల, అతడేలాగు క్రీస్తువాడో ఆలాగే మేమును క్రీస్తువారమని తన మనస్సులో తాను తిరిగి ఆలోచించుకొనవలెను.

7. You are looking at the surface of things. If anyone is convinced that he belongs to the Messiah, he should remind himself that we belong to the Messiah as much as he does.

8. పడ ద్రోయుటకు కాక మిమ్మును కట్టుటకే ప్రభువు మాకు అనుగ్రహించిన అధికారమునుగూర్చి నేనొకవేళ కొంచెము అధికముగా అతిశయపడినను నేను సిగ్గుపరచబడను.

8. For even if I boast a little too much about the authority the Lord has given us- authority to build you up, not tear you down- I am not ashamed.

9. నేను వ్రాయు పత్రికలవలన మిమ్మును భయపెట్టవలెనని యున్నట్టు కనబడకుండ ఈ మాట చెప్పుచున్నాను.

9. My object is not to seem as if I were trying to frighten you with these letters.

10. అతని పత్రికలు ఘనమైనవియు బలీయమైనవియు నైయున్నవి గాని అతడు శరీరరూపమునకు బలహీనుడు, అతని ప్రసంగము కొరగానిదని యొకడు అనును.

10. Someone says, 'His letters are weighty and powerful, but when he appears in person he is weak, and as a speaker he is nothing.'

11. మేమెదుటలేనప్పుడు పత్రికల ద్వారా మాటలయందెట్టి వారమైయున్నామో, యెదుట ఉన్నప్పుడు క్రియయందు అట్టివారమై యుందుమని అట్లనువాడు తలంచుకొనవలెను.

11. Such a person should realize that what we say in our letters when absent, we will do when present.

12. తమ్మును తామే మెచ్చుకొను కొందరితో జతపరచుకొనుట కైనను వారితో సరిచూచుకొనుటకైనను మేము తెగింప జాలము గాని, వారు తమలోనే యొకరిని బట్టి యొకరు ఎన్నికచేసికొని యొకరితోనొకరు సరి చూచుకొను చున్నందున, గ్రహింపులేక యున్నారు.

12. We don't dare class or compare ourselves with some of the people who advertise themselves. In measuring themselves against each other and comparing themselves with each other, they are simply stupid.

13. మేమైతే మేరకు మించి అతిశయపడము గాని మీరున్న స్థలము వరకును రావలెనని దేవుడు మాకు కొలిచి యిచ్చిన మేరకు లోబడియుండి అతిశయించుచున్నాము.

13. We will not boast about what lies outside the area of work which God has given us; rather, we will boast within our assigned area, and that area does reach as far as you.

14. మేము క్రీస్తు సువార్త ప్రకటించుచు, మీవరకును వచ్చియుంటిమి గనుక మీయొద్దకు రానివారమైనట్టు మేము మా మేర దాటి వెళ్లుచున్న వారము కాము.

14. We are not overextending our boasting as if we had not reached as far as you; for we did come all the way to you with the Good News of the Messiah.

15. మేము మేరకు మించి యితరుల ప్రయాసఫలములలో భాగస్థులమనుకొని అతిశయ పడము. మీ విశ్వాసము అభివృద్ధియైనకొలది మాకనుగ్ర హింపబడిన మేరలకు లోపలనే సువార్త మరి విశేషముగా వ్యాపింపజేయుచు,

15. We do not boast about the area in which others labor; but our hope is that as your trust grows, we will be magnified in your midst in relation to our own area of work, so that we can go on to do even more,

16. మీ ఆవలి ప్రదేశములలో కూడ సువార్త ప్రకటించునట్లుగా, మేము మీ మూలముగా ఘనపరచబడుదుమని నిరీక్షించుచున్నామే గాని, మరియొకని మేరలో చేరి, సిద్ధమైయున్నవి మావియైనట్టు అతిశయింపగోరము.

16. namely, to proclaim the Good News in regions beyond you. Our hope is not to boast about the work already done by someone else.

17. అతిశయించువాడు ప్రభువునందే అతిశయింపవలెను.

17. So, let anyone who wants to boast, boast about ADONAI;

18. ప్రభువు మెచ్చుకొనువాడే యోగ్యుడు గాని తన్ను తానే మెచ్చుకొనువాడు యోగ్యుడుకాడు.

18. because it is not the one who recommends himself who is worthy of approval, but the one whom the Lord recommends.
