1. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు బిడ్డలు గనుక చనిపోయిన వాడెవనినిబట్టి మిమ్మును మీరు కోసికొన కూడదు, మీ కనుబొమ్మల మధ్య బోడిచేసికొనకూడదు.
రోమీయులకు 9:4

1. Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2. ఏలయనగా నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు నీవు ప్రతిష్టిత జనము. మరియు యెహోవా భూమిమీద నున్న సమస్త జనములలో విశేషముగా తనకు స్వకీయ జనమగునట్లు నిన్ను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

2. For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

3. నీవు హేయమైనదేదియు తినకూడదు. మీరు తిన దగిన జంతువులు ఏవేవనగా

3. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4. ఎద్దు, గొఱ్ఱెపిల్ల, మేక పిల్ల,

4. These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5. దుప్పి, ఎఱ్ఱ చిన్నజింక, దుప్పి, కారుమేక, కారుజింక, లేడి, కొండగొఱ్ఱె అనునవే.

5. the hart, and the gazelle, and the roebuck, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the antelope, and the chamois.

6. జంతువులలో రెండు డెక్కలు గలదై నెమరువేయు జంతువును తినవచ్చును.

6. And every beast that parteth the hoof, and hath the hoof cloven in two, {cf15i and} cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

7. నెమరువేయువాటిలోనిదే కాని రెండు డెక్కలుగల వాటిలోనిదే కాని నెమరువేసి ఒంటిడెక్కగల ఒంటె, కుందేలు, పొట్టి కుందేలు అనువాటిని తినకూడదు. అవి మీకు హేయములు.

7. Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that have the hoof cloven: the camel, and the hare, and the coney, because they chew the cud but part not the hoof, they are unclean unto you:

8. మరియు పంది రెండు డెక్కలు గలదైనను నెమరువేయదు గనుక అది మీకు హేయము, వాటి మాంసము తినకూడదు, వాటి కళేబరములను ముట్ట కూడదు.

8. and the swine, because he parteth the hoof but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you: of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcases ye shall not touch.

9. నీట నివసించువాటన్నిటిలో మీరు వేటిని తినవచ్చు ననగా, రెక్కలు పొలుసులుగలవాటినన్నిటిని తినవచ్చును.

9. These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales shall ye eat:

10. రెక్కలు పొలుసులు లేనిదానిని మీరు తిన కూడదు అది మీకు హేయము.

10. and whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye shall not eat; it is unclean unto you.

11. పవిత్రమైన ప్రతి పక్షిని మీరు తినవచ్చును.

11. Of all clean birds ye may eat.

12. మీరు తినరానివి ఏవనగాపక్షిరాజు,

12. But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the gier eagle, and the ospray;

13. పెద్ద బోరువ, క్రౌంచుపక్షి,

13. and the glede, and the falcon, and the kite after its kind;

14. పిల్లిగద్ద, గద్ద, తెల్లగద్ద,

14. and every raven after its kind;

15. ప్రతి విధమైన కాకి,

15. and the ostrich, and the night hawk, and the seamew, and the hawk after its kind;

16. నిప్పుకోడి, కపిరిగాడు, కోకిల,

16. the little owl, and the great owl, and the horned owl;

17. ప్రతి విధమైన డేగ, పైడికంటె,

17. and the pelican, and the vulture, and the cormorant;

18. గుడ్లగూబ, హంస, గూడ బాతు,

18. and the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

19. తెల్లబందు, చెరువుకాకి, చీకుబాతు, సారసపక్షి, ప్రతివిధమైన సంకుబుడికొంగ, కొంగ, కుకుడుగువ్వ, గబ్బిలము అనునవి.

19. And all winged creeping things are unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.

20. ఎగురు ప్రతి పురుగు మీకు హేయము; వాటిని తినకూడదు, పవిత్రమైన ప్రతి పక్షిని తిన వచ్చును.

20. Of all clean fowls ye may eat.

21. చచ్చినదానిని మీరు తినకూడదు. నీ యింట నున్న పరదేశికి దానిని ఇయ్యవచ్చును. వాడు దానిని తినవచ్చును; లేక అన్యునికి దాని అమ్మవచ్చును; ఏలయనగా నీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాకు నీవు ప్రతిష్ఠిత జనము. మేకపిల్లను దాని తల్లిపాలతో వండకూడదు.

21. Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou mayest give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto a foreigner: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in its mothers milk.

22. ప్రతి సంవత్సరమున నీ విత్తనముల పంటలో దశమ భాగమును అవశ్యముగా వేరుపరచవలెను.

22. Thou shalt surely tithe all the increase of thy seed, that which cometh forth of the field year by year.

23. నీ దినము లన్నిటిలో నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు నీవు భయపడ నేర్చుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన నామము నకు నివాసస్థానముగా ఏర్పరచుకొను స్థలమున ఆయన సన్నిధిని నీ పంటలోగాని నీ ద్రాక్షారసములోగాని నీ నూనెలోగాని పదియవ పంతును, నీ పశువులలోగాని గొఱ్ఱె మేకలలోగాని తొలిచూలు వాటిని తినవలెను.

23. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24. మార్గము దీర్ఘముగానున్నందున, అనగా యెహోవా తన నామమునకు నివాసస్థానముగా ఏర్పరచుకొను స్థలము మిక్కిలి దూరముగా నున్నందున, నీవు వాటిని మోయ లేనియెడల నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించు నప్పుడు, వాటిని వెండికి మార్చి ఆ వెండిని చేత పట్టుకొని,

24. And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it, because the place is too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God shall bless thee:

25. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా యేర్పరచుకొను స్థలము నకు వెళ్లి నీవు కోరు దేనికైనను

25. then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26. ఎద్దులకేమి గొఱ్ఱెల కేమి ద్రాక్షారసమునకేమి మద్యమునకేమి నీవు కోరు దానికి ఆ వెండి నిచ్చి, అక్కడ నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని భోజనముచేసి, నీవును నీ యింటివారును నీ యింటనుండు లేవీయులును సంతోషింపవలెను.

26. and thou shalt bestow the money for whatsoever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul asketh of thee: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou and thine household:

27. లేవీ యులను విడువ కూడదు; నీ మధ్యను వారికి పాలైనను స్వాస్థ్యమైనను లేదు.

27. and the Levite that is within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee.

28. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీవు చేయు నీ చేతి పని అంతటిలోను నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు మూడేసి సంవత్సర ముల కొకసారి, ఆ యేట నీకు కలిగిన పంటలో పదియవ వంతంతయు బయటికి తెచ్చి నీ యింట ఉంచవలెను.

28. At the end of every three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase in the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

29. అప్పుడు నీ మధ్యను పాలైనను స్వాస్థ్య మైనను లేని లేవీ యులును, నీ యింటనున్న పరదేశులును, తండ్రిలేనివారును, విధవరాండ్రును వచ్చి భోజనముచేసి తృప్తిపొందుదురు.

29. and the Levite, because he hath no portion nor inheritance with thee, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
