1. యాజకులైన లేవీయులకు, అనగా లేవీగోత్రీయుల కందరికి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో పాలైనను స్వాస్థ్యమైనను ఉండదు, వారు యెహోవా హోమద్రవ్యములను తిందురు; అది వారి హక్కు.
1 కోరింథీయులకు 9:13

1. Neither the priests the Levites nor any of the tribe of Levi, shall have either portion or inheritance with Israel, the altar-flames of Yahweh and his inheritance, shall they eat.

2. వారి సహోదరులతో వారికి స్వాస్థ్యము కలుగదు; యెహోవా వారితో చెప్పి నట్లు ఆయనే వారికి స్వాస్థ్యము. జనులవలన, అనగా ఎద్దుగాని గొఱ్ఱెగాని మేకగాని బలిగా అర్పించువారి వలన

2. But inheritance, shall he not have, in the midst of his brethren, Yahweh, is his inheritance, as he spake unto him.

3. యాజకులు పొందవలసిన దేదనగా, కుడిజబ్బను రెండు దవడలను పొట్టను యాజకుని కియ్యవలెను.

3. This, therefore shall be the due of the priests from the people from them who offer the sacrifice whether ox or lamb, there shall be given unto the priest, the shoulder and the two cheeks and the maw:

4. నీ ధాన్యములోను నీ ద్రాక్షారసములోను నీ నూనెలోను ప్రథమ ఫలములను నీ గొఱ్ఱెల మొదటి బొచ్చును అతని కియ్యవలెను.

4. the firstfruit of thy corn thy new wine and thine oil and the first of the fleece of thy flock, shalt thou give unto him.

5. నిత్యము యెహోవా నామమున నిలిచి సేవచేయుటకు నీ గోత్రములన్నిటిలోను అతనిని అతని సంతతివారిని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఏర్పరచుకొని యున్నాడు.

5. For of him, hath Yahweh thy God made choice out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of Yahweh of him and his sons all the days.

6. ఒక లేవీయుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమున తాను విదేశిగా నివసించిన నీ గ్రామములలో ఒకదానినుండి యెహోవా ఏర్పరచుకొను స్థలమునకు మిక్కిలి మక్కువతో వచ్చినప్పుడు

6. And when the Levite shall come in out of any of thy gates out of any part of Israel, where he is sojourning, yea shall come in with all the desire of his soul, into the place which Yahweh shall choose,

7. అక్కడ యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిలుచు లేవీయులైన తన గోత్రపువారు చేయునట్లు అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమున సేవచేయవలెను.

7. then may he minister in the name of Yahweh his God, like any of his brethren the Levites who are standing there before Yahweh.

8. అమ్మబడిన తన పిత్రార్జితమువలన తనకు వచ్చినది గాక అతడు ఇతరులవలె వంతు అనుభవింపవలెను.

8. Portion for portion, shall they eat, apart from his possessions upon his patrimony.

9. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశమున నీవు ప్రవేశించిన తరువాత ఆ జనముల హేయకృత్యములను నీవు చేయ నేర్చుకొనకూడదు.

9. When thou art coming into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee, thou shalt not learn to do according to the abominable doings of those nations.

10. తన కుమారునైనను తన కుమార్తెనైనను అగ్నిగుండము దాటించు వానినైనను, శకు నముచెప్పు సోదెగానినైనను, మేఘ శకునములనుగాని సర్ప శకునములను గాని చెప్పు వానినైనను, చిల్లంగివానినైనను, మాంత్రికునినైనను, ఇంద్రజాలకునినైనను

10. There shall not be found in thy midst One who causeth his son or his daughter to pass through fire, Or who useth divination, hidden arts or enchantments Or who muttereth incantations;

11. కర్ణపిశాచి నడుగువానినైనను, దయ్యములయొద్ద విచారణచేయు వాని నైనను మీ మధ్య ఉండనియ్యకూడదు.

11. Or who bindeth with spells, Or who asketh of a familiar spirit or an oracle, Or who seeketh unto the dead.

12. వీటిని చేయు ప్రతివాడును యెహోవాకు హేయుడు. ఆ హేయము లైన వాటినిబట్టి నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ యెదుటనుండి ఆ జనములను వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నాడు.

12. For, an abomination unto Yahweh, is everyone who doeth these things, and on account of these abominations, is Yahweh thy God dispossessing them from before thee.

13. నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయొద్ద యథార్థపరుడవై యుండవలెను.
మత్తయి 5:48

13. Blameless, shalt thou be with, Yahweh thy God;

14. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనబోవు జనములు మేఘశకునములను చెప్పువారి మాటను సోదెగాండ్ర మాటను విందురు. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను ఆలాగున చేయనియ్యడు.

14. for, these nations whom thou art dispossessing, unto them who use hidden arts and unto diviners, do hearken, but as for thee, not so, doth Yahweh thy God suffer thee.

15. హోరేబులో ఆ సమాజదినమున నీవునేను చావక యుండునట్లు మళ్లి నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వరము నాకు విన బడకుండును గాక,

15. A prophet out of thy midst of thy brethren like unto me, will Yahweh thy God, raise up unto thee unto him, shall ye hearken:

16. ఈ గొప్ప అగ్ని నాకు ఇకను కనబడకుండునుగాక అని చెప్పితివి. ఆ సమయ మున నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను నీవు అడిగిన వాటన్నిటి చొప్పున నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ మధ్యను నావంటి ప్రవక్తను నీ సహోదరులలో నీకొరకు పుట్టించును, ఆయన మాట నీవు వినవలెను.

16. according to all which thou didst ask of Yahweh thy God, in Horeb, in the day of the convocation saying, Let me no further hearken unto the voice of Yahweh my God, and this great fire, let me not see any more lest I die.

17. మరియు యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెను. వారు చెప్పిన మాట మంచిది;

17. And Yahweh said unto me: They have well said what they have spoken.

18. వారి సహో దరులలోనుండి నీవంటి ప్రవక్తను వారికొరకు పుట్టించెదను; అతని నోట నా మాటల నుంచుదును; నేను అతని కాజ్ఞా పించునది యావత్తును అతడు వారితో చెప్పును.

18. A prophet, will I raise up unto them, out of the midst of their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth, so shall he speak unto them whatsoever I shall command him.

19. అతడు నా నామమున చెప్పు నా మాటలను విననివానిని దాని గూర్చి విచారణ చేసెదను.

19. And it shall come to pass, that, the man who will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I, myself will require it of him.

20. అంతేకాదు, ఏ ప్రవక్తయు అహంకారము పూని, నేను చెప్పుమని తన కాజ్ఞాపించని మాటను నా నామమున చెప్పునో, యితర దేవతల నామమున చెప్పునో ఆ ప్రవక్తయును చావవలెను.

20. Howbeit the prophet who shall presume to speak a word in my name which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shah speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.

21. మరియు ఏదొకమాట యెహోవా చెప్పినది కాదని మేమెట్లు తెలిసికొనగలమని మీరనుకొనిన యెడల,

21. And, when thou shalt say in thy heart, In what manner shall we know the word which Yahweh hath not spoken!?,

22. ప్రవక్త యెహోవా నామమున చెప్పినప్పుడు ఆ మాట జరుగక పోయిన యెడలను ఎన్నడును నెరవేరకపోయిన యెడ లను అది యెహోవా చెప్పిన మాట కాదు, ఆ ప్రవక్త అహంకారముచేతనే దాని చెప్పెను గనుక దానికి భయ పడవద్దు.

22. When the prophet shall speak in the name of Yahweh and the word shall not come to pass, neither shall come in, that, is the word which Yahweh, hath not spoken, presumptuously, hath the prophet spoken it, thou shall not be in dread of him.
