1. ఒకడు స్త్రీని పరిగ్రహించి ఆమెను పెండ్లిచేసి కొనిన తరువాత ఆమెయందు మానభంగసూచన ఏదో ఒకటి అతనికి కనబడినందున ఆమెమీద అతనికి ఇష్టము తప్పినయెడల, అతడు ఆమెకు పరిత్యాగ పత్రము వ్రాయించి ఆమెచేతికిచ్చి తన యింటనుండి ఆమెను పంపివేయవలెను.

1. When a man taketh a woman, and marrieth her, then shall it be, if she find not favour in his eyes, because he hath found in her some matter of shame, that he shall write her a scroll of divorcement, and put it into her hand, and shall send her forth, out of his house.

2. And, when she cometh forth out of his house, then may she go her way, and become another man's.

3. But if the latter husband hate her, and write her a scroll of divorcement and put it into her hand, and send her away out of his house, or, if the latter husband die, who had taken her to him to wife,

4. ఆమెను పంపివేసిన ఆమె మొదటి పెనిమిటి ఆమెను పెండ్లిచేసికొనుటకై ఆమెను మరల పరిగ్రహింపకూడదు. ఏలయనగా ఆమె తన్ను అపవిత్రపరచుకొనెను, అది యెహోవా సన్నిధిని హేయము గనుక నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చుచున్న దేశమునకు పాపము కలుగకుండునట్లు మీరు ఆలాగు చేయకూడదు.

4. then may her first husband who sent her away not again take her to become his wife after that she hath been defiled, for that were an abomination, before Yahweh, lest thou bring sin upon the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance.

5. ఒకడు క్రొత్తగా ఒకదానిని పెండ్లిచేసికొని సేనలోచేరి పోకూడదు. అతనిపైన యే వ్యాపారభారమును మోప కూడదు. ఏడాదివరకు తీరికగా అతడు తన యింట ఉండి తాను పరిగ్రహించిన భార్యను సంతోషపెట్టవలెను.

5. When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go forth to war, neither shall he be charged with any business, free, shall he be for his own house one year, and shall rejoice with his wife whom he hath taken.

6. తిరగటినైనను తిరగటిమీద దిమ్మనైనను తాకట్టు పట్ట కూడదు. అది ఒకని జీవనాధారమును తాకట్టు పట్టినట్లే.

6. No man shall take in pledge a handmill, or an upper millstone, for he would be taking life, in pledge.

7. ఒకడు ఇశ్రాయేలు కుమారులైన తన సహోదరులలో నొకని దొంగిలుట కనుగొనబడినయెడల అతడు వానిని తన దాసునిగా చేసికొనినను అమ్మినను ఆ దొంగ చావ వలెను. ఆలాగు చేసినయెడల ఆ చెడుతనమును మీ మధ్యనుండి పరిహరించుదురు.

7. When a man is found stealing any person from among his brethren of the sons of Israel, and making merchandise of him, or selling hint, then shall that thief die, so shalt thou consume the wicked thing out of thy midst.

8. కుష్ఠరోగవిషయము యాజకులైన లేవీయులు మీకు బోధించు సమస్తమును చేయుటకు బహు జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండుడి. నేను వారి కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు చేయుటకు మీరు జాగ్రత్తగా నుండుడి.

8. Take heed, in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do, according to all that the priests the Levites shall direct you, as I have commanded them, so shall ye observe to do.

9. మీరు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి వచ్చి నప్పుడు త్రోవలో నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మిర్యామునకు చేసిన దానిని జ్ఞాపకముంచుకొనుడి.

9. Remember that which Yahweh thy God did to Miriam, by the way, as ye came forth out of Egypt.

10. నీ పొరుగువానికి ఏదైనను నీవు ఎరువిచ్చినయెడల అతనియొద్ద తాకట్టు వస్తువు తీసికొనుటకు అతని యింటికి వెళ్లకూడదు

10. When thou lendest thy neighbour a loan of anything, thou shalt not enter into his house to secure his pledge:

11. నీవు బయట నిలువవలెను. నీవు ఎరువిచ్చిన వాడు బయటనున్న నీయొద్దకు ఆ తాకట్టు వస్తువును తెచ్చియిచ్చును.

11. outside, shalt thou stand, and the man to whom thou art lending, shall bring forth unto thee his pledge outside,

12. ఆ మనుష్యుడు బీదవాడైనయెడల నీవు అతని తాకట్టును ఉంచుకొని పండుకొనకూడదు. అతడు తన బట్టను వేసికొని పండుకొని నిన్ను దీవించు నట్లు సూర్యుడు అస్తమించునప్పుడు నిశ్చయముగా ఆ తాకట్టు వస్తువును అతనికి మరల అప్పగింపవలెను.

12. And, if he be a poor man, thou shalt not sleep in his pledge:

13. అది నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా దృష్టికి నీకు నీతి యగును.

13. thou shalt, restore, to him the pledge at the going in of the sun, so shall he sleep in his own mantle, and bless thee, and, unto thee, shall it be righteous-ness before Yahweh thy God.

14. నీ సహోదరులలోనేమి నీ దేశమందలి నీ గ్రామము లలోనున్న పరదేశులలోనేమి దీనదరిద్రుడైన కూలివానిని బాధింపకూడదు. ఏనాటికూలి ఆ నాడియ్యవలెను.

14. Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, of thy brethren or of thy sojourners that are in thy land, within thy gates;

15. సూర్యుడు అస్తమింపకమునుపు వానికియ్య వలెను. వాడు బీదవాడు గనుక దానిమీద ఆశ పెట్టు కొనియుండును. వాడు నిన్నుబట్టి యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టు నేమో అది నీకు పాపమగును.

15. for his day, shalt thou give his hire neither shall the sun, go in upon it, for, poor, he is, and, unto it, is he lifting up his soul, lest he cry out against thee, unto Yahweh, and it be, in thee a sin.

16. కుమారుల దోషమునుబట్టి తండ్రులకు మరణశిక్ష విధింపకూడదు, తండ్రుల దోషమునుబట్టి కుమారులకు మరణశిక్ష విధింపకూడదు. ఎవనిపాపము నిమిత్తమువాడే మరణశిక్ష నొందును.

16. Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, nor shall sons, be put to death for fathers, every man, for his own sin, shall he put to death.

17. పరదేశికేగాని తండ్రిలేనివానికేగాని న్యాయము తప్పి తీర్పుతీర్చకూడదు. విధవరాలి వస్త్రమును తాకట్టుగా తీసికొనకూడదు.

17. Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the sojourner or the fatherless, neither shalt thou take in pledge the garment of a widow;

18. నీవు ఐగుప్తులో దాసుడవైయుండగా నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను అక్కడనుండి విమోచించె నని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనవలెను. అందుచేత ఈ కార్యము చేయవలెనని నీ కాజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాను.

18. so shalt thou remember that, a servant, becamest thou in Egypt, and that Yahweh thy God, redeemed thee, from thence, therefore, am I commanding thee to do this thing.

19. నీ పొలములో నీ పంట కోయుచున్నప్పుడు పొల ములో ఒక పన మరచిపోయినయెడల అది తెచ్చుకొను టకు నీవు తిరిగి పోకూడదు. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీవు చేయు పనులన్నిటిలోను నిన్ను ఆశీర్వదించునట్లు అది పరదేశులకును తండ్రి లేనివారికిని విధవరాండ్రకును ఉండ వలెను.

19. When thou cuttest down thy harvest in thy field and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not turn back to fetch it, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, shall it belong, that Yahweh thy God, may bless thee, in all the Work of thy hands.

20. నీ ఒలీవపండ్లను ఏరునప్పుడు నీ వెనుకనున్న పరిగెను ఏరుకొనకూడదు; అవి పరదేశులకును తండ్రిలేని వారికిని విధవరాండ్రకును ఉండవలెను.

20. When thou beatest thine olive-tree, thou shalt not glean after thee, to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong,

21. నీ ద్రాక్షపండ్లను కోసి కొనునప్పుడు నీ వెనుకనున్న పరిగెను ఏరుకొనకూడదు; అది పరదేశులకును తండ్రిలేనివారి కిని విధవరాండ్రకును ఉండవలెను.

21. When thou cuttest off the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not go about picking after thee, to the sojourner to the fatherless and to the widow, shall it belong:

22. నీవు ఐగుప్తు దేశమందు దాసుడవై యుంటి వని జ్ఞాపకముచేసికొనుము. అందుచేత ఈ కార్యము చేయవలెనని నీకాజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాను.

22. so shalt thou remember that a servant, becamest thou in the land of Egypt, therefore, am I commending thee to do this thing.
