1. మనుష్యులకు వివాదము కలిగి న్యాయసభకు వచ్చు నప్పుడు న్యాయాధిపతులు విమర్శించి నీతిమంతుని నీతి మంతుడనియు దోషిని దోషియనియు తీర్పు తీర్చవలెను.

1. If there be a controversy between men, and they resort to judgment, and they judge [their case]; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

2. ఆ దోషి శిక్షకు పాత్రుడుగా కనబడినయెడల న్యాయాధి పతి వాని పండుకొనబెట్టి వాని నేరముకొలది దెబ్బలు లెక్కపెట్టి తనయెదుట వాని కొట్టింపవలెను.

2. And it shall be if the wicked man have deserved to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and be beaten before his face, according to the measure of his wickedness with a certain number [of stripes].

3. నలువది దెబ్బలు కొట్టింపవచ్చును అంతకు మించకూడదు. వీటి కంటే విస్తారమైన దెబ్బలు కొట్టించినయెడల నీ సహోద రుడు నీ దృష్టికి నీచుడుగా కనబడునేమో.

3. With forty [stripes] shall they beat him; they shall not exceed, lest, if they continue to beat him with many stripes above these, thy brother become despicable in thine eyes.

4. నూర్చెడియెద్దు మూతికి చిక్కము వేయకూడదు.

4. Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out [the corn].

5. సహోదరులు కూడి నివసించుచుండగా వారిలో ఒకడు సంతానములేక చనిపోయినయెడల చనిపోయిన వాని భార్య అన్యుని పెండ్లిచేసికొనకూడదు; ఆమె పెని మిటి సహోదరుడు ఆమెయొద్దకు పోయి ఆమెను పెండ్లి చేసికొని తన సహోదరునికి మారుగా ఆమెయెడల భర్త ధర్మము జరపవలెను.

5. If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no son, the wife of the dead shall not marry a stranger abroad: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him as wife, and perform the duty of a husband's brother unto her.

6. చనిపోయిన సహోదరుని పేరు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలోనుండి తుడిచి వేయబడకుండునట్లు ఆమె కను జ్యేష్ఠకుమారుడు చనిపోయిన సహోదరునికి వారసుడుగా ఉండవలెను.

6. And it shall be, that the firstborn that she beareth shall stand in the name of his brother who is dead, that his name be not blotted out from Israel.

7. అతడు తన సహోదరుని భార్యను పరిగ్రహింప నొల్లనియెడల వాని సహోదరుని భార్య పట్టణపు గవినికి, అనగా పెద్దలయొద్దకు పోయినా పెనిమిటి సహోదరుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో తన సహోదరునికి పేరు స్థాపింపనని చెప్పి దేవధర్మము చేయ నొల్లడని తెలుపుకొనవలెను.

7. But if the man like not to take his brother's wife, his brother's wife shall go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel: he will not perform for me the duty of a husband's brother.

8. అప్పుడు అతని యూరి పెద్దలు అతని పిలిపించి అతనితో మాటలాడిన తరువాత అతడు నిలువబడిఆమెను పరిగ్రహించుటకు నా కిష్టము లేదనినయెడల అతని సహోదరుని భార్య

8. Then the elders of his city shall call him and speak unto him; and if he stand to it and say, I like not to take her;

9. ఆ పెద్దలు చూచుచుండగా, అతని దాపున పోయి అతని కాలినుండి చెప్పు ఊడదీసి అతని ముఖము నెదుట ఉమ్మివేసితన సహోదరుని యిల్లు నిలుపని మనుష్యునికి ఈలాగు చేయ బడునని చెప్పవలెను.

9. then shall his brother's wife come near to him before the eyes of the elders, and draw his sandal from his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto the man that will not build up his brother's house.

10. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో చెప్పు ఊడదీయబడిన వాని యిల్లని వానికి పేరు పెట్టబడును.

10. And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe drawn off.

11. మనుష్యులు ఒకనితో నొకడు పోట్లాడుచుండగా వారిలో ఒకని భార్య వాని కొట్టుచున్నవాని చేతిలోనుండి తన పెనిమిటిని విడిపించుటకు వచ్చి చెయ్యి చాచి వానిమానము పట్టుకొనినయెడల ఆమె చేతిని ఛేదింపవలెను.

11. When men fight together one with another, and the wife of the one come near to rescue her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and stretch out her hand, and seize him by his secret parts,

12. నీ కన్ను కటాక్షింపకూడదు.

12. thou shalt cut off her hand; thine eye shall not spare.

13. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగల వేరువేరు తూనికె రాళ్లు నీ సంచిలో నుంచుకొనకూడదు.

13. Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

14. హెచ్చుతగ్గులుగల వేరు వేరు తూములు నీ యింట ఉంచుకొనకూడదు.

14. Thou shalt not have in thy house divers ephahs, a great and a small.

15. నీ దేవు డైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో నీవు దీర్ఘా యుష్మంతుడవగునట్లు తక్కువవికాని న్యాయమైన తూనికె రాళ్లు నీవు ఉంచుకొనవలెను. తక్కువదికాని న్యాయమైన తూము నీకు ఉండవలెను.

15. A perfect and just weight shalt thou have; a perfect and just ephah shalt thou have; that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

16. ఆలాగు చేయని ప్రతివాడును, అనగా అన్యాయముచేయు ప్రతివాడును నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు హేయుడు.

16. For every one that doeth such things, every one that doeth unrighteousness, is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.

17. మీరు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి వచ్చుచుండగా మార్గమున అమాలేకీయులు నీకు చేసినదానిని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. అతడు దేవునికి భయపడక మార్గమున నీ కెదురుగా వచ్చి

17. Remember what Amalek did unto thee on the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt;

18. నీవు ప్రయాసవడి అలసియున్నప్పుడు నీవారిలో నీ వెనుక నున్న బలహీనులనందరిని హతముచేసెను.

18. how he met thee on the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, all the feeble that lagged behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary, and he feared not God.

19. కాబట్టి నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వాస్థ్య ముగా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశములో చుట్టుపట్లనున్న నీ సమస్త శత్రువులను లేకుండచేసి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు విశ్రాంతి దయచేసిన తరువాత ఆకాశము క్రింద నుండి అమాలేకీయుల పేరు తుడిచివేయవలెను. ఇది మరచిపోవద్దు.

19. And it shall be, when Jehovah thy God shall have given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens; thou shalt not forget it.
