1. మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని పిలిపించి యిట్ల నెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నేను మీ వినికిడిలో నేడు చెప్పుచున్న కట్టడలను విధులను విని వాటిని నేర్చుకొని వాటిననుసరించి నడువుడి.

1. Then Moses called all Israiel, and saide vnto them, Heare, O Israel, the ordinances and the lawes which I propose to you this day, that yee may learne them, and take heede to obserue them.

2. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా హోరేబులో మనతో నిబంధనచేసెను.

2. The Lord our God made a couenant with vs in Horeb.

3. యెహోవా మన పితరులతో కాదు, నేడు ఇక్కడ సజీవులమైయున్న మనతోనే యీ నిబంధన చేసెను.

3. The Lord made not this couenant with our fathers onely, but with vs, euen with vs all here aliue this day.

4. యెహోవా ఆ కొండ మీద అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి ముఖాముఖిగా మీతో మాటలాడగా మీరు ఆ అగ్నికి భయపడి ఆ కొండ యెక్కలేదు.

4. The Lord talked with you face to face in the Mount, out of the middes of the fire.

5. గనుక యెహోవామాట మీకు తెలియ జేయుటకు నేను యెహోవాకును మీకును మధ్యను నిలిచి యుండగా యెహోవా ఈలాగున సెలవిచ్చెను.

5. (At that time I stoode betweene the Lord and you, to declare vnto you ye word of the Lord: for ye were afraid at the sight of the fire, and went not vp into the mount, and he said,

6. దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను నేనే.

6. I am the Lord thy God, which haue brought thee out of the lande of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

7. నేను తప్ప వేరొక దేవుడు నీకుండకూడదు.

7. Thou shalt haue none other gods before my face.

8. పైనున్న ఆకాశమందే గాని, క్రిందనున్న భూమి యందే గాని భూమి క్రిందనున్న నీళ్లయందే గాని యుండు దేని పోలికనైన విగ్రహమును చేసికొనకూడదు.

8. Thou shalt make thee no grauen image or any likenesse of that that is in heauen aboue, or which is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters vnder the earth.

9. వాటికి నమస్కరింపకూడదు; వాటిని పూజింపకూడదు. నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాయగు నేను రోషముగల దేవు డను; నన్ను ద్వేషించువారి విషయములో మూడు నాలుగు తరములవరకు తండ్రుల దోషమును కుమారులమీదికి రప్పించుచు

9. Thou shalt neither bowe thy selfe vnto them, nor serue them: for I the Lord thy God am a ielous God, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon the children, euen vnto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:

10. నన్ను ప్రేమించి నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనువారి విషయ ములో వేయితరములవరకు కరుణించువాడనై యున్నాను.

10. And shewing mercie vnto thousandes of them that loue me, and keepe my commandements.

11. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమును వ్యర్థముగా ఉచ్చరింపకూడదు; యెహోవా తన నామమును వ్యర్థ ముగా ఉచ్చరించువానిని నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచడు.

11. Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vaine: for the Lord will not holde him giltlesse that taketh his Name in vaine.

12. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు విశ్రాంతి దినమును పరిశుద్ధముగా ఆచరించుము.

12. Keepe the Sabbath day, to sanctifie it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.

13. Sixe dayes thou shalt labour, and shalt doe all thy worke:

14. ఏడవ దినము నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు విశ్రాంతి దినము. దానిలో నీవైనను నీ కుమారుడైనను నీ కుమార్తెయైనను నీ దాసుడైనను నీ దాసియైనను నీ యెద్దయినను నీ గాడిద యైనను నీ పశువులలో ఏదై నను నీ యిండ్లలోనున్న పర దేశియైనను ఏ పనియు చేయకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే నీవలె నీ దాసుడును నీ దాసియును విశ్రమింపవలెను.

14. But the seuenth day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not doe any worke therein, thou, nor thy sonne, nor thy daughter, nor thy man seruant, nor thy mayd, nor thine oxe, nor thine asse, neither any of thy cattel, nor the stranger that is within thy gates: that thy man seruant and thy mayde may rest aswell as thou.

15. నీవు ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు దాసుడవైయున్నప్పుడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా బాహుబలముచేతను చాచిన చేతిచేతను నిన్ను అక్కడనుండి రప్పించెనని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. అందు చేతను విశ్రాంతిదినము ఆచరింపవలెనని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

15. For, remember that thou wast a seruant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence by a mightie hand and a stretched out arme: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to obserue the Sabbath day.

16. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కనుగ్రహించు దేశములో నీవు దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతుడవై నీకు క్షేమమగునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినలాగున నీ తండ్రిని నీ తల్లిని సన్మానింపుము.

16. Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath comanded thee, that thy dayes may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee vpon the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee.

20. నీ పొరుగువానిమీద అబద్ధ సాక్ష్యము పలుకకూడదు.

20. Neither shalt thou beare false witnesse against thy neighbour.

21. నీ పొరుగువాని భార్యను ఆశింపకూడదు; నీ పొరుగు వాని యింటినైనను వాని పొలమునైనను వాని దాసుని నైనను వాని దాసినినైనను వాని యెద్దునైనను వాని గాడిద నైనను నీ పొరుగువానిదగు దేనినైనను ఆశింపకూడదు.

21. Neither shalt thou couet thy neighbours wife, neither shalt thou desire thy neighbours house, his fielde, nor his man seruant, nor his mayd, his oxe, nor his asse, nor ought that thy neighbour hath.

22. ఈ మాటలను యెహోవా ఆ పర్వతముమీద అగ్ని మేఘ గాఢాంధకారముల మధ్యనుండి గొప్ప స్వరముతో మీ సమాజమంతటితో చెప్పి, రెండు రాతి పలకలమీద వాటిని వ్రాసి నాకిచ్చెను. ఆయన మరేమియు చెప్పలేదు.

22. These wordes the Lord spake vnto all your multitude in the mount out of the mids of the fire, the cloude and the darkenes, with a great voyce, and added no more thereto: and wrote them vpon two tables of stone, and deliuered them vnto me.

23. మరియు ఆ పర్వతము అగ్నివలన మండుచున్నప్పుడు ఆ చీకటిమధ్యనుండి ఆ స్వరమును విని మీరు, అనగా మీ గోత్రముల ప్రధానులును మీ పెద్దలును నాయొద్దకు వచ్చి

23. And when ye heard the voyce out of the middes of the darkenes, (for the mountaine did burne with fire) then ye came to me, all the chiefe of your tribes, and your Elders:

24. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన ఘనతను మహాత్మ్య మును మాకు చూపించెను. అగ్నిమధ్యనుండి ఆయన స్వర మును వింటిమి. దేవుడు నరులతో మాటలాడినను వారు బ్రదుకుదురని నేడు తెలిసికొంటిమి.

24. And ye sayd, Beholde, the Lord our God hath shewed vs his glory and his greatnes, and we haue heard his voyce out of the middes of the fire: we haue seene this day that God doeth talke with man, and he liueth.

25. కాబట్టి మేము చావనేల? ఈ గొప్ప అగ్ని మమ్మును దహించును; మేము మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వరము ఇక వినినయెడల చని పోదుము.

25. Now therefore, why should we dye? for this great fire wil consume vs: if we heare ye voyce of the Lord our God any more, we shall dye.

26. మావలె సమస్త శరీరులలో మరి ఎవడు సజీవు డైన దేవుని స్వరము అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి పలుకుట విని బ్రదికెను?

26. For what flesh was there euer, that heard the voyce of the liuing God speaking out of the middes of the fire as we haue, and liued?

27. నీవే సమీపించి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్పునది యావత్తు వినుము. అప్పుడు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీతో చెప్పినది యావత్తు నీవే మాతో చెప్పిన యెడల మేము విని దాని గైకొందుమని చెప్పితిరి.

27. Go thou neere and heare all that the Lord our God saith: and declare thou vnto vs all that the Lord our God saith vnto thee, and we will heare it, and doe it.

28. మీరు నాతో మాటలాడినప్పుడు యెహోవా మీ మాటలు వినెను. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నాతో ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చెనుఈ జనులు నీతో చెప్పిన మాటలు నేను విని యున్నాను. వారు చెప్పినదంతయు మంచిదే.

28. Then the Lord heard the voyce of your wordes, when ye spake vnto me: and the Lord sayd vnto me, I haue heard the voyce of ye wordes of this people, which they haue spoken vnto thee: they haue well sayd, all that they haue spoken.

29. వారికిని వారి సంతాన మునకును నిత్యమును క్షేమము కలుగునట్లు వారు నాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించు మనస్సు వారికుండిన మేలు.

29. Oh that there were such an heart in them to feare me, and to keepe all my commandements alway: that it might go well with them, and with their children for euer.

30. మీ గుడా రములలోనికి తిరిగి వెళ్లుడని నీవు వారితో చెప్పుము.

30. Go, say vnto them, Returne you into your tentes.

31. అయితే నీవు ఇక్కడ నాయొద్ద నిలిచియుండుము. నీవు వారికి బోధింపవలసిన ధర్మమంతటిని, అనగా కట్టడలను విధులను నేను నీతో చెప్పెదను.

31. But stand thou here with me, and I wil tell thee all the commandements, and the ordinances, and the lawes, which thou shalt teach them: that they may doe them in the land which I giue them to possesse it.

32. వారు స్వాధీనపరచు కొనునట్లు నేను వారి కిచ్చుచున్న దేశ మందు వారు ఆలాగు ప్రవర్తింపవలెను.

32. Take heede therefore, that ye doe as the Lord your God hath commanded you: turne not aside to the right hand nor to the left,

33. కాబట్టి మీరు కుడికే గాని యెడమకే గాని తిరుగక మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞా పించినట్లు చేయుటకు జాగ్రత్తపడవ లెను. మీరు స్వాధీన పరచుకొనబోవు దేశములో మీరు జీవించుచు మేలుకలిగి దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతులగునట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన మార్గము లన్నిటిలో నడుచుకొనవలెను.

33. But walke in all the wayes which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may liue, and that it may goe well with you: and that ye may prolong your dayes in the land which ye shall possesse.
