1. మోషే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని పిలిపించి యిట్ల నెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, నేను మీ వినికిడిలో నేడు చెప్పుచున్న కట్టడలను విధులను విని వాటిని నేర్చుకొని వాటిననుసరించి నడువుడి.

1. Then Moshe called to all Isra'el and said to them, 'Listen, Isra'el, to the laws and rulings which I am announcing in your hearing today, so that you will learn them and take care to obey them.

2. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా హోరేబులో మనతో నిబంధనచేసెను.

2. ADONAI our God made a covenant with us at Horev.

3. యెహోవా మన పితరులతో కాదు, నేడు ఇక్కడ సజీవులమైయున్న మనతోనే యీ నిబంధన చేసెను.

3. ADONAI did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us- with us, who are all of us here alive today.

4. యెహోవా ఆ కొండ మీద అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి ముఖాముఖిగా మీతో మాటలాడగా మీరు ఆ అగ్నికి భయపడి ఆ కొండ యెక్కలేదు.

4. ADONAI spoke with you face to face from the fire on the mountain.

5. గనుక యెహోవామాట మీకు తెలియ జేయుటకు నేను యెహోవాకును మీకును మధ్యను నిలిచి యుండగా యెహోవా ఈలాగున సెలవిచ్చెను.

5. At that time I stood between ADONAI and you in order to tell you what ADONAI was saying; because, on account of the fire, you were afraid and wouldn't go up onto the mountain. He said, t

6. దాసుల గృహమైన ఐగుప్తుదేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాను నేనే.

6. ''I am ADONAI your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, where you lived as slaves. c

7. నేను తప్ప వేరొక దేవుడు నీకుండకూడదు.

7. ''You are to have no other gods before me.

8. పైనున్న ఆకాశమందే గాని, క్రిందనున్న భూమి యందే గాని భూమి క్రిందనున్న నీళ్లయందే గాని యుండు దేని పోలికనైన విగ్రహమును చేసికొనకూడదు.

8. You are not to make for yourselves a carved image or any kind of representation of anything in heaven above, on the earth beneath or in the water below the shoreline-

9. వాటికి నమస్కరింపకూడదు; వాటిని పూజింపకూడదు. నీ దేవుడనైన యెహోవాయగు నేను రోషముగల దేవు డను; నన్ను ద్వేషించువారి విషయములో మూడు నాలుగు తరములవరకు తండ్రుల దోషమును కుమారులమీదికి రప్పించుచు

9. you are not to bow down to them or serve them; for I, ADONAI your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the parents, also the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

10. నన్ను ప్రేమించి నా ఆజ్ఞలను గైకొనువారి విషయ ములో వేయితరములవరకు కరుణించువాడనై యున్నాను.

10. but displaying grace to the thousandth generation of those who love me and obey my [mitzvot]. d

11. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమును వ్యర్థముగా ఉచ్చరింపకూడదు; యెహోవా తన నామమును వ్యర్థ ముగా ఉచ్చరించువానిని నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచడు.

11. 'You are not to misuse the name of ADONAI your God, because ADONAI will not leave unpunished someone who misuses his name. s

12. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినట్లు విశ్రాంతి దినమును పరిశుద్ధముగా ఆచరించుము.

12. ''Observe the day of [Shabbat], to set it apart as holy, as ADONAI your God ordered you to do.

13. ఆరుదినములు నీవు కష్టపడి నీ పని అంతయు చేయవలెను.

13. You have six days to labor and do all your work,

14. ఏడవ దినము నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు విశ్రాంతి దినము. దానిలో నీవైనను నీ కుమారుడైనను నీ కుమార్తెయైనను నీ దాసుడైనను నీ దాసియైనను నీ యెద్దయినను నీ గాడిద యైనను నీ పశువులలో ఏదై నను నీ యిండ్లలోనున్న పర దేశియైనను ఏ పనియు చేయకూడదు. ఎందుకంటే నీవలె నీ దాసుడును నీ దాసియును విశ్రమింపవలెను.

14. but the seventh day is a [Shabbat] for ADONAI your God. On it you are not to do any kind of work- not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your ox, your donkey or any of your other livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property- so that your male and female servants can rest just as you do.

15. నీవు ఐగుప్తుదేశమందు దాసుడవైయున్నప్పుడు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా బాహుబలముచేతను చాచిన చేతిచేతను నిన్ను అక్కడనుండి రప్పించెనని జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుము. అందు చేతను విశ్రాంతిదినము ఆచరింపవలెనని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను.

15. You are to remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and ADONAI your God brought you out from there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore ADONAI your God has ordered you to keep the day of [Shabbat]. v

16. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కనుగ్రహించు దేశములో నీవు దీర్ఘాయుష్మంతుడవై నీకు క్షేమమగునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించినలాగున నీ తండ్రిని నీ తల్లిని సన్మానింపుము.

18. ''Do not covet your neighbor's wife; do not covet your neighbor's house, his field, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.'

19. దొంగిలకూడదు.

19. 'These words ADONAI spoke to your entire gathering at the mountain from fire, cloud and thick mist, in a loud voice; then it ceased. But he wrote them on two stone tablets, which he gave to me.

20. నీ పొరుగువానిమీద అబద్ధ సాక్ష్యము పలుకకూడదు.

20. When you heard the voice coming out of the darkness, as the mountain blazed with fire, you came to me, all the heads of your tribes and your leaders,

21. నీ పొరుగువాని భార్యను ఆశింపకూడదు; నీ పొరుగు వాని యింటినైనను వాని పొలమునైనను వాని దాసుని నైనను వాని దాసినినైనను వాని యెద్దునైనను వాని గాడిద నైనను నీ పొరుగువానిదగు దేనినైనను ఆశింపకూడదు.

21. and said, 'Here, ADONAI our God has shown us his glory and his greatness! We have heard his voice coming from the fire, and we have seen today that God does speak with human beings, and they stay alive.

22. ఈ మాటలను యెహోవా ఆ పర్వతముమీద అగ్ని మేఘ గాఢాంధకారముల మధ్యనుండి గొప్ప స్వరముతో మీ సమాజమంతటితో చెప్పి, రెండు రాతి పలకలమీద వాటిని వ్రాసి నాకిచ్చెను. ఆయన మరేమియు చెప్పలేదు.

22. But why should we keep risking death? This great fire will consume us! If we hear the voice of ADONAI our God any more, we will die!

23. For who is there of all humanity that has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the fire, as we have, and stayed alive?

24. మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా తన ఘనతను మహాత్మ్య మును మాకు చూపించెను. అగ్నిమధ్యనుండి ఆయన స్వర మును వింటిమి. దేవుడు నరులతో మాటలాడినను వారు బ్రదుకుదురని నేడు తెలిసికొంటిమి.

24. You, go near; and hear everything ADONAI our God says. Then you will tell us everything ADONAI our God says to you; and we will listen to it and do it.'

25. కాబట్టి మేము చావనేల? ఈ గొప్ప అగ్ని మమ్మును దహించును; మేము మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వరము ఇక వినినయెడల చని పోదుము.

25. 'ADONAI heard what you were saying when you spoke to me, and ADONAI said to me, 'I have heard what this people has said when speaking to you, and everything they have said is good.

26. మావలె సమస్త శరీరులలో మరి ఎవడు సజీవు డైన దేవుని స్వరము అగ్ని మధ్యనుండి పలుకుట విని బ్రదికెను?

26. Oh, how I wish their hearts would stay like this always, that they would fear me and obey all my [mitzvot]; so that it would go well with them and their children forever.

27. నీవే సమీపించి మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్పునది యావత్తు వినుము. అప్పుడు మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీతో చెప్పినది యావత్తు నీవే మాతో చెప్పిన యెడల మేము విని దాని గైకొందుమని చెప్పితిరి.

27. Go, tell them to return to their tents.

28. మీరు నాతో మాటలాడినప్పుడు యెహోవా మీ మాటలు వినెను. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నాతో ఈలాగు సెల విచ్చెనుఈ జనులు నీతో చెప్పిన మాటలు నేను విని యున్నాను. వారు చెప్పినదంతయు మంచిదే.

28. But you, stand here by me; and I will tell you all the [mitzvot], laws and rulings which you are to teach them, so that they can obey them in the land I am giving them as their possession.'

29. వారికిని వారి సంతాన మునకును నిత్యమును క్షేమము కలుగునట్లు వారు నాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి నా ఆజ్ఞలన్నిటిని అనుసరించు మనస్సు వారికుండిన మేలు.

29. 'Therefore you are to be careful to do as ADONAI your God has ordered you; you are not to deviate either to the right or the left.

30. మీ గుడా రములలోనికి తిరిగి వెళ్లుడని నీవు వారితో చెప్పుము.

30. You are to follow the entire way which ADONAI your God has ordered you; so that you will live, things will go well with you, and you will live long in the land you are about to possess.
