1. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మృతినొందిన తరువాత, యెహోవా నూను కుమారుడును మోషే పరిచారకుడు నైన యెహోషువకు ఈలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనునా సేవకుడైన మోషే మృతినొందెను.

1. And it came to pass after the death of Moses, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, the minister of Moses, saying,

2. కాబట్టి నీవు లేచి, నీవును ఈ జనులందరును ఈ యొర్దానునది దాటి నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కిచ్చుచున్న దేశమునకు వెళ్లుడి.

2. Moses My servant is dead; now then arise, go over the Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I give them.

3. నేను మోషేతో చెప్పి నట్లు మీరు అడుగుపెట్టు ప్రతి స్థలమును మీకిచ్చు చున్నాను.

3. Every spot on which you shall tread I will give it to you, as I said to Moses.

4. అరణ్యమును ఈ లెబానోను మొదలుకొని మహానదియైన యూఫ్రటీసు నదివరకును హిత్తీయుల దేశ మంతయు పడమట మహా సముద్రమువరకును మీకు సరిహద్దు.

4. The wilderness and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, and as far as the extremity of the sea; your coasts shall be from the setting of the sun.

5. నీవు బ్రదుకు దినములన్నిటను ఏ మనుష్యుడును నీ యెదుట నిలువలేక యుండును; నేను మోషేకు తోడై యుండినట్లు నీకును తోడైయుందును.
హెబ్రీయులకు 13:5

5. Not a man shall stand against you all the days of your life; and as I was with Moses, so will I also be with you, and I will not fail you, or neglect you.

6. నిన్ను విడువను నిన్ను ఎడబాయను, నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యముగా నుండుము. వారికిచ్చెదనని నేను వారి పితరులతో ప్రమాణము చేసిన యీ దేశమును నిశ్చయముగా నీవు ఈ ప్రజల స్వాధీనము చేసెదవు.

6. Be strong and of good courage, for you shall divide the land to this people, which I swore to give to your fathers.

7. అయితే నీవు నిబ్బరముగలిగి జాగ్రత్తపడి బహు ధైర్యముగానుండి, నా సేవకుడైన మోషే నీకు ఆజ్ఞా పించిన ధర్మశాస్త్రమంతటి చొప్పున చేయవలెను. నీవు నడుచు ప్రతి మార్గమున చక్కగా ప్రవర్తించునట్లు నీవు దానినుండి కుడికిగాని యెడమకుగాని తొలగకూడదు.

7. Be strong, therefore, and very courageous, to observe and do as Moses My servant commanded you; and you shall not turn from there to the right hand or to the left, that you may be wise in whatsoever you may do.

8. ఈ ధర్మశాస్త్రగ్రంథమును నీవు బోధింపక తప్పిపో కూడదు. దానిలో వ్రాయబడిన వాటన్నిటి ప్రకారము చేయుటకు నీవు జాగ్రత్తపడునట్లు దివారాత్రము దాని ధ్యానించినయెడల నీ మార్గమును వర్ధిల్లజేసికొని చక్కగా ప్రవర్తించెదవు.

8. And the Book of this Law shall not depart from your mouth, and you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may know how to do all the things that are written [in it]; then shall you prosper, and make your ways prosperous, and then shall you be wise.

9. నేను నీ కాజ్ఞయిచ్చియున్నాను గదా, నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యముగా నుండుము, దిగులుపడకుము జడియకుము. నీవు నడుచు మార్గమంతటిలో నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు తోడైయుండును.

9. Behold, I have commanded you; be strong and courageous, be not cowardly nor fearful, for the Lord your God is with you in all places in which you go.

10. కాగా యెహోషువ ప్రజల నాయకులకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞాపించెనుమీరు పాళెములోనికి పోయి జనులతో ఈ మాట చెప్పుడి

10. And Joshua commanded the scribes of the people, saying,

11. మీరు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనుటకు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనబోవుటకై మూడు దినములలోగా మీరు ఈ యొర్దానును దాటవలెను. గనుక ఆహారమును సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

11. Go into the midst of the camp of the people, and command the people, saying, Prepare provisions; for yet three days and you shall go over this Jordan, entering in to take possession of the land, which the Lord God of your fathers gives to you.

12. మరియు రూబేనీయులకును గాదీయులకును మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారికిని యెహోషువ యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞా పించెను.

12. And to Reuben, and to Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said,

13. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీ కాజ్ఞా పించిన సంగతి జ్ఞాపకము చేసికొనుడి, ఎట్లనగా మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవా మీకు విశ్రాంతి కలుగజేయుచున్నాడు; ఆయన ఈ దేశమును మీకిచ్చును.

13. Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, the Lord your God has caused you to rest, and has given you this land.

14. మీ భార్యలును మీపిల్లలును మీ ఆస్తియు యొర్దాను అవతల మోషే మీకిచ్చిన యీ దేశమున నివసింపవలెనుగాని, పరాక్రమ వంతులును శూరులునైన మీరందరు యుద్ధసన్నద్ధులై మీ సహోదరులకు ముందుగా

14. Let your wives and your children and your cattle dwell in the land, which He has given you; and you shall go over well armed before your brothers, everyone of you who is strong; and you shall fight on their side;

15. నది దాటి, యెహోవా మీకు దయచేసినట్లు మీ సహోదరులకును విశ్రాంతి దయచేయు వరకు, అనగా మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా వారికిచ్చు దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొనువరకు మీరును సహాయము చేయ వలెను. అప్పుడు తూర్పున యొర్దాను ఇవతల యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీకిచ్చిన మీ స్వాస్థ్యమైన దేశమునకు మీరు తిరిగి వచ్చి దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొందురు.

15. until the Lord your God shall have given your brothers rest, as also to you, and they also shall have inherited the land, which the Lord your God gives them; then you shall depart each one to his inheritance, which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan, eastward.

16. అందుకు వారునీవు మా కాజ్ఞాపించినదంతయు మేము చేసెదము, నీవు మమ్ము నెక్కడికి పంపుదువో అక్కడికి పోదుము;

16. And they answered Joshua and said, We will do all things which you commanded us, and we will go to every place that you shall send us.

17. మోషే చెప్పిన ప్రతిమాట మేము వినినట్లు నీ మాట విందుము; నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మోషేకు తోడైయుండినట్లు నీకును తోడైయుండును గాక.

17. Just as we hearkened to Moses, we will hearken to you; only let the Lord our God be with you, as He was with Moses.

18. నీమీద తిరుగబడి నీవు వారికి ఆజ్ఞాపించు ప్రతి విషయములో నీ మాట వినని వారందరు మరణశిక్ష నొందుదురు; నీవు నిబ్బరముగలిగి ధైర్యము తెచ్చుకొనవలెనని యెహోషువకు ఉత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

18. And whoever shall disobey you, and whoever shall not hearken to your words as you shall command him, let him die; but be strong and courageous.
