మనం ఎల్లప్పుడూ మనల్ని మనం కాపాడుకుంటూ ఉండాలి. అంతకంటే ప్
రాముఖ్యం మన హృదయాలను బాధ్రపరచుకుంటూ ఉండాలి. ఎందుకంటే మనం ఎటువంటి ప్రమాదకరమైన విషయాలకు తావులేకుండా గమనించుకుంటూ ఉండాలి. లోకంలో
ఏదైనా అనుకోని సంఘటనలు ఎదురైనప్పుడు, మొదటగా వెలుపటి విషయాలకంటే మన ఆత్మల కోటవైపు దృష్టిని సారించాలి.
శత్రువు భూమిని ఆక్రమించినప్పుడు, మొదటి విషయం ఏమిటంటే, మన స్వంత బలం లేదా మన స్వంత కోటల భద్రతతో సంబంధం లేకుండా అతనికి వ్యతిరేకంగా వెళ్లడం కాదు, కానీ మన కోటలు చక్కగా ఉండేలా చూసుకోవాలి లేదా మనం వాడి దాడుల నుండి సంరక్షించుకోవాలి. అలా అయితే, మనము శత్రువును బహిరంగ మైదానంలో పోరాడడానికి విశ్వాసంతో ముందుకు వెళ్ళవచ్చు. లోకంలో జరిగే విపత్తు పరిణామాలపై ద్రుష్టి నిలపడం కంటే, ఒక

క్రీస్తును తిరస్కరించే వారు, పాపభరితమైన ప్రపంచంపై దేవుని అనివార్యమైన తీర్పు వైపు ప్రపంచం ఉరుములు మెరుస్తున్నప్పుడు, ఒక వక్రీకృత సువార్తను ప్రకటించడం, వివేచన లేని ప్రజలను మోసగించే తప్పుడు బోధకుల సంఖ్య రోజు రోజుకు పెరుగుతోంది. ఈ వాక్యం ప్రకారం మనం లేఖనాధారమైన సత్యాన్ని గట్టిగా పట్టుకోవాలని మనకు

యేసు దేవుని కుమారుడని, ఆయన మొదటి రాకడలో నిజమైన మనిషిగా భూమిపైకి వచ్చాడని - అతను లోక పాపం కోసం బలి అర్పణగా వచ్చాడని - అతను పాపం తెలియని మనిషిగా అవతరించాడని, తద్వారా అతను తన రక్తాన్ని చిందించి, లోకం యొక్క పాపవిముక్తికి వెల చెల్లించడానికి లేదా పడిపోయిన వారిని తిరిగి దేవునితో సమాధానపరచడానికే నని గ్రహించాలి.

యేసు ఏ రోజు తిరిగి వచ్చినా మనల్ని తనతో పాటుగా తీసుకువెళ్లాలని సిద్ధంగా ఉండేలా, దేవుని కీర్తి కోసం మనం సంసిద్ధులై యుందాము. ఆమెన్.

Citadel of our own Souls
2 John 1:8 Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
The idea is, that we should be particularly guarding ourselves, and our first care should be to secure our own hearts, so that we are not exposed to the dangerous attacks of error. When error abounds in the world, our first duty is not to attack it and make war upon it; it is to look to the citadel of our own souls, and see that all is well guarded there.
When an enemy invades a land, the first thing will not be to go out against him, regardless of our own strength, or of the security of our own fortresses, but it will be to see that our forts are well manned, and that we are secure there from his assaults. If that is so, we may then go forth with confidence to meet him on the open field. In relation to an error that is in the world, the first thing for a Christian to do is to take care of his own heart.
As the world thunders towards God-s inevitable judgement of this God-hating, Christ-rejecting, sinful world, there are an increasing number of false teachers trafficking a twisted gospel and peddling a false Christ to undiscerning people. John was keen and explaining us that we must hold fast to Scriptural truth - that Jesus was God the Son, Who came to earth as a real Man at His first coming - that He came as a sacrificial offering for the sin of the world - that He came to earth as Man, who knew no sin, so that He could shed His human blood to pay that price for the sin of the world and to reconcile fallen man back to God.
May we become increasingly familiar with the truth of the Gospel and be ready to glory in our great salvation; to share it with the lost; to study it day by day; to show ourselves approved unto God; to grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ; to be ready to give an answer for the hope we have in Him and to look for the any day return of Jesus to take us to be with Himself. And may we do ALL for HIS praise and glory. Amen.
