"The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, -We have found the Messiah- (that is, the Christ)." - John 1:41

Andrew-s remarkable journey alongside Jesus was initiated by his exposure to the teachings of John the Baptist. Drawn in by the compelling message, Andrew became a devout follower and eventually found himself face to face with Jesus. Recognizing Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, Andrew wasted no time in sharing this good news with his brother Peter, saying, "We have found the Messiah" (John 1:41).
In the Gospels, Andrew is depicted as a dynamic force, masterfully connecting people to Jesus. His pivotal role is evident in his introduction of Peter to Jesus, his humble offering of a young boy-s sparse provisions for the miraculous feeding of a multitude, and his facilitation of the encounter between Jesus and the Greeks. Andrew-s primary focus was guiding others to the Messiah. Andrew was martyred by crucifixion in Patras during 60 AD. He was bound, rather than nailed, to a cross, as is described in the book named Acts of Andrew. He was crucified on a cross form known as "crux decussata," which is an X-shaped cross or a "saltire."
