1. నీవు నీ శత్రువులతో యుద్ధమునకు పోయి గుఱ్ఱ ములను రథములను మీకంటె విస్తారమైన జనమును చూచు నప్పుడు వారికి భయపడవద్దు; ఐగుప్తు దేశములోనుండి నిన్ను రప్పించిన నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకు తోడై యుండును.

1. Whan thou goest out to battayll agaynst thine enemies, and seyst horses and charettes of the people more then thou, be not afrayed of them: for the LORDE thy God which brought ye out of the londe of Egipte, is with the.

2. అంతేకాదు, మీరు యుద్ధమునకు సమీ పించునప్పుడు యాజకుడు దగ్గరకు వచ్చి ప్రజలతో ఈలాగు చెప్పవలెను

2. Now wha ye are come nye vnto the battayll, the prest shal steppe forth, & speake to the people,

3. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, వినుడి; నేడు మీరు మీశత్రువులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు సమీ పించుచున్నారు. మీ హృదయములు జంకనియ్యకుడి, భయపడకుడి,

3. and saye vnto the: Heare Israel: Ye go this daye in to the battayll agaynst youre enemies, let not yor hert faynte. Feare not, be not afrayed, ner a drede of them.

4. వణకకుడి, వారి ముఖము చూచి బెదరకుడి, మీకొరకు మీ శత్రువులతో యుద్ధము చేసి మిమ్మును రక్షించువాడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే.

4. For the LORDE youre God goeth with you, to fyghte for you agaynst youre enemies, yt he maye saue you.

5. మరియు నాయకులు జనులతో చెప్పవలసినదేమనగా, క్రొత్తయిల్లు కట్టు కొనినవాడు గృహప్రవేశము కాకమునుపే యుద్ధ ములో చనిపోయినయెడల వేరొకడు దానిలో ప్రవేశించును గనుక అట్టివాడు తన యింటికి తిరిగి వెళ్లవచ్చును.

5. And the captaynes shal speake to ye people, and saye: Who so hath buylded a new house, and hath not dedicate it, let him go, and byde in his house, that he dye not in ye battayll, and another dedicate it.

6. ద్రాక్షతోటవేసి యింక దాని పండ్లు తినక ఒకడు యుద్ధ ములో చనిపోయినయెడల వేరొకడు దాని పండ్లు తినును గనుక అట్టివాడును తన యింటికి తిరిగి వెళ్లవచ్చును.

6. Who so hath planted a vynyarde, and hath not yet made it comen, lett him go, and byde at home, that he dye not in the battayll, and another make it comen.

7. ఒకడు స్త్రీని ప్రధానము చెసికొని ఆమెను ఇంకను పరిగ్రహింపకమునుపే యుధ్ధములో చనిపోయినయెడల వేరొకడు ఆమెను పరిగ్రహించును గనుక అట్టివాడును తన యింటికి తిరిగి వెళ్లవచ్చును.

7. Who so hath spoused a wyfe, and hath not yet brought her home, let him go, and byde at home, yt he die not in the battayll, & another brynge her home.

8. నాయకులు జనులతో యెవడు భయపడి మెత్తని గుండెగల వాడగునో వాడు తాను అధైర్యపడిన రీతిగా తన సహోదరుల గుండెలు అధైర్యపరచకుండునట్లు తన యింటికి తిరిగి వెళ్లవచ్చునని చెప్పవలెను.

8. And the captaines shal speake further vnto the people, and saye: He that feareth and hath a faynte hert, lett him go, and byde at home, that he make not his brethrens hert fainte also, like as his hert is.

9. నాయకులు జనులతో మాటలాడుట చాలిం చిన తరువాత జనులను నడిపించుటకు సేనాధిపతులను నియమింపవలెను.

9. And whan the captaynes haue made an ende of speakinge vnto the people, they shall set the rulers of the hoost before the people in the fore fronte.

10. యుధ్దము చేయుటకు మీరొక పురముమీదికి సమీ పించునప్పుడు సమాధానము నిమిత్తము రాయబారమును పంపవలెను. సమాధానమని అది నీకు ఉత్తర మిచ్చి

10. Whan thou commest nye vnto a cite to fight against it, thou shalt offre them peace

11. గుమ్మ ములను తెరచినయెడల దానిలో నున్న జనులందరు నీకు పన్ను చెల్లించి నీ దాసులగుదురు.

11. Yf they answere the peaceably, and open vnto the, then shal all ye people yt is founde therin, be tributaries vnto the, and serue ye.

12. అది మీతో సమా ధానపడక యుద్ధమే మంచిదని యెంచినయెడల దాని ముట్టడివేయుడి.

12. But yf they wyl not deale peaceably wt the, and wyll warre with the, then besege it:

13. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా దాని నీ చేతి కప్పగించునప్పుడు దానిలోని మగవారినందరిని కత్తివాత హతము చేయవలెను.

13. and whan the LORDE thy God delyuereth it in to thy hande, thou shalt smyte all the males that are therin, with the edge of the swerde:

14. అయితే స్త్రీలను చిన్నవారిని పశు వులను ఆ పురములో నున్నది యావత్తును దాని కొల్ల సొమ్మంతటిని నీవు తీసికొనవచ్చును; నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చిన నీ శత్రువుల కొల్లసొమ్మును నీవు అనుభవించుదువు.

14. saue the wemen and the children. As for the catell, and all that is in the cite, and all the spoyle, thou shalt take them vnto thy selfe, and eate the spoyle of thine enemies, which the LORDE thy God hath geuen the.

15. ఈ జనముల పురములు గాక నీకు బహు దూర ముగా ఉండిన సమస్త పురములకు మాత్రమే యీలాగున చేయవలెను.

15. Thus shalt thou do vnto all the cities, that are very farre from the, and are not of the cities of these nacions.

16. అయితే నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వాస్థ్య ముగా నీకిచ్చుచున్న యీ జనముల పురములలో ఊపిరిగల దేనిని బ్రదుకనియ్యకూడదు.

16. But in the cities of these nacions, which the LORDE thy God shall geue the to enheritauce, thou shalt leaue nothinge alyue that hath breth,

17. వీరు, అనగా హీత్తీ యులు అమోరీయులు కనానీయులు పెరిజ్జీయులు హివీ్వ యులు యెబూసీయులనువారు తమ తమ దేవతల విష యమై చేసిన సమస్త హేయకృత్యములరీతిగా మీరు చేసి,

17. but shalt vtterly destroye the, namely the Hethites, Amorites, Cananites, Pheresites, Heuites, & Iebusites, as the LORDE thy God hath commaunded the,

18. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా పాపము చేయు టకు వారు మీకు నేర్పకుండునట్లు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ కాజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారముగా వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయ వలెను.

18. yt they teache you not to do all ye abhominacions, which they do vnto their goddes, & so ye to synne agaynst the LORDE youre God.

19. నీవు ఒక పురమును లోపరచుకొనుటకు దానిమీద యుద్ధము చేయుచు అనేక దినములు ముట్టడివేయు నప్పుడు, దాని చెట్లు గొడ్డలిచేత పాడుచేయకూడదు; వాటి పండ్లు తినవచ్చునుగాని వాటిని నరికివేయకూడదు; నీవు వాటిని ముట్టడించుటకు పొలములోని చెట్లు నరులా? అట్టి చెట్లను నీవు కొట్టకూడదు.

19. Whan thou must lye a longe season before a cite, against the which thou makest warre to take it, thou shalt not destroye ye trees therof that thou woldest hew them downe wt the axe, for thou mayest eate therof: and therfore shalt thou not hew them downe. For it is but wodd vpon the felde, and no man, and can not come & be bullworkes agaynst the.

20. ఏ చెట్లు తినదగిన ఫలములనిచ్చునవికావని నీవెరుగుదువో వాటిని పాడుచేసి నరికి, నీతో యుద్ధముచేయు పురము పడువరకు వాటితో దానికి ఎదురుగా ముట్టడిదిబ్బ కట్ట వచ్చును.

20. But the trees which thou knowest yt me eate not of, those shalt thou destroye, and rote out, and make bullworkes therof, agaynst the cite that warreth with the, tyll thou haue ouercome it.
