1. హాసోరు రాజైన యాబీను జరిగినవాటినిగూర్చి విని మాదోనురాజైన యోబాబుకును షిమ్రోను రాజుకును అక్షాపు రాజుకును

1. When Jabin king of Hazor heard about all that had happened, he sent messages to Jobab king of Madon, to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Acshaph.

2. ఉత్తరదిక్కుననున్న మన్యదేశములోను కిన్నెరెతు దక్షిణదిక్కుననున్న అరా బాలోను షెఫేలా లోను పడమటనున్న దోరు మన్యములోను ఉన్న రాజు లకును

2. He sent messages to the kings in the northern mountains and also to the kings in the Jordan Valley south of Lake Galilee and in the western hills. He sent a message to the king of Naphoth Dor in the west

3. తూర్పు పడమటి దిక్కులయందలి కనానీయుల కును అమోరీయులకును హిత్తీయులకును పెరిజ్జీయులకును మన్యములోనున్న యెబూసీయులకును మిస్పా దేశమందలి హెర్మోను దిగువనుండు హివ్వీయులకును వర్తమానము పంపగా

3. and to the kings of the Canaanites in the east and in the west. He sent messages to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, and Jebusites in the mountains. Jabin also sent one to the Hivites, who lived below Mount Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

4. వారు సముద్రతీరమందలి యిసుకరేణువులంత విస్తారముగానున్న తమ సైనికులనందరిని సమకూర్చుకొని, విస్తారమైన గుఱ్ఱములతోను రథములతోను బయలుదేరిరి.

4. So the armies of all these kings came together with their horses and chariots. There were as many soldiers as grains of sand on the seashore.

5. ఆ రాజులందరు కూడుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు మేరోము నీళ్లయొద్దకు వచ్చిదిగగా

5. All of these kings met together at the waters of Merom, joined their armies together into one camp, and made plans to fight against the Israelites.

6. యెహోవా వారికి భయపడకుము, రేపు ఈ వేళకు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేత సంహరింపబడిన వారినిగా నేను వారినందరిని అప్ప గించెదను. నీవు వారి గుఱ్ఱముల గుదికాలి నరమును తెగకోసి వారి రథములను అగ్నిచేత కాల్చుదువని యెహోషు వతో సెలవిచ్చెను.

6. Then the Lord said to Joshua, 'Don't be afraid of them, because at this time tomorrow I will give them to you. You will cripple their horses and burn all their chariots.'

7. కాబట్టి యెహోషువయు అతనితో కూడనున్న యోధులందరును హఠాత్తుగా మేరోము నీళ్ల యొద్దకు వారిమీదికి వచ్చి వారిమీద పడగా

7. So Joshua and his whole army surprised the enemy by attacking them at the waters of Merom.

8. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల చేతికి వారిని అప్పగించెను. వీరు వారిని హతముచేసి మహాసీదోనువరకును మిశ్రేపొత్మాయిమువర కును తూర్పువైపున మిస్పే లోయవరకును వారిని తరిమి నిశ్శేషముగా చంపిరి.

8. The Lord handed them over to Israel. They chased them to Greater Sidon, Misrephoth Maim, and the Valley of Mizpah in the east. Israel fought until none of the enemy was left alive.

9. యెహోవా యెహోషువతో సెల విచ్చినట్లు అతడు వారికి చేసెను. అతడు వారి గుఱ్ఱముల గుదికాలి నరమును తెగకోసి వారి రథములను అగ్నితో కాల్చి వేసెను.

9. Joshua did what the Lord said to do; he crippled their horses and burned their chariots.

10. ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ వెనుకకు తిరిగి హాసోరును పట్టుకొని దాని రాజును కత్తివాతను హతము చేసెను. పూర్వము హాసోరు ఆ సమస్త రాజ్యములకు ప్రధానము.

10. Then Joshua went back and captured the city of Hazor and killed its king. (Hazor had been the leader of all the kingdoms that fought against Israel.)

11. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు దానిలోనున్న ప్రతి వానిని కత్తివాతను హతముచేసిరి. ఎవరును తప్పించుకొనకుండ యెహోషువ వారినందరిని నిర్మూలము చేసెను. అతడు హాసోరును అగ్నితో కాల్చివేసెను.

11. Israel killed everyone in Hazor, completely destroying them; no one was left alive. Then they burned Hazor itself.

12. యెహోషువ ఆ రాజులనందరిని హతముచేసి వారి పట్టణములను పట్టుకొని కొల్లబెట్టెను; యెహోవా సేవ కుడైన మోషే ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు అతడు వారిని నిర్మూలము చేసెను.

12. Joshua captured all of these cities, killed all of their kings, and completely destroyed everything in these cities. He did this just as Moses, the servant of the Lord, had commanded.

13. అయితే యెహోషువ హాసో రును కాల్చి వేసెనుగాని మెట్టలమీద కట్టబడియున్న పట్టణ ములను ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కాల్చివేయలేదు.

13. But the Israelites did not burn any cities that were built on their mounds, except Hazor; only that city was burned by Joshua.

14. ఆ పట్టణ ముల సంబంధమైన కొల్లసొమ్మును పశువులను ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు దోచుకొనిరి. నరులలో ఒకనిని విడువకుండ అందరిని నశింపజేయువరకు కత్తివాతను హతము చేయుచు వచ్చిరి.

14. The people of Israel kept for themselves everything they found in the cities, including all the animals. But they killed all the people there; they left no one alive.

15. యెహోవా తన సేవకుడైన మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించి నట్లు మోషే యెహోషువకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను, యెహోషువ ఆలాగే చేసెను. యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన వాటన్నిటిలో నొకటియు అతడు చేయక విడువలేదు.

15. Long ago the Lord had commanded his servant Moses to do this, and then Moses had commanded Joshua to do it. Joshua did everything the Lord had commanded Moses.

16. యెహోషువ శేయీరుకు పోవు హాలాకు కొండ మొదలుకొని

16. So Joshua defeated all the people in the land. He had control of the mountains and the area of southern Canaan, all the areas of Goshen, the western hills, and the Jordan Valley. He controlled the mountains of Israel and all the hills near them.

17. లెబానోను లోయలో హెర్మోను కొండ దిగువనున్న బయల్గాదువరకు ఆ దేశమంతటిని, అనగా మన్యమును దక్షిణదేశమంతటిని గోషేనుదేశమంతటిని షెఫేలాప్రదేశమును మైదానమును ఇశ్రాయేలు కొండ లను వాటి లోయలను వాటి రాజులనందరిని పట్టుకొని వారిని కొట్టిచంపెను.

17. Joshua controlled all the land from Mount Halak near Edom to Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon, below Mount Hermon. Joshua also captured all the kings in the land and killed them.

18. బహుదినములు యెహోషువ ఆ రాజులందరితో యుద్ధము చేసెను. గిబియోను నివాసు లైన హివ్వీయులుగాక

18. He fought against them for many years.

19. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో సంధిచేసిన పట్టణము మరి ఏదియులేదు. ఆ పట్టణములన్నిటిని వారు యుద్ధములో పట్టుకొనిరి.

19. The people of only one city in all the land had made a peace agreement with Israel -- the Hivites living in Gibeon. All the other cities were defeated in war.

20. వారిని నిర్మూలము చేయుడని యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు కనికరింపక వారిని నాశనముచేయు నిమిత్తము వారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చునట్లు యెహోవా వారి హృదయములను కఠినపరచియుండెను.

20. The Lord made those people stubborn so they would fight against Israel and he could completely destroy them without mercy. This is what the Lord had commanded Moses to do.

21. ఆ కాలమున యెహోషువ వచ్చి మన్యదేశములోను, అనగా హెబ్రోనులోను దెబీరులోను అనాబులోను యూదా మన్యములన్నిటిలోను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మన్య ప్రదేశములన్నిటిలోను ఉన్న అనాకీయులను నాశనము చేసెను. యెహోషువ వారిని వారి పట్టణములను నిర్మూలము చేసెను.

21. Now Joshua fought the Anakites who lived in the mountains of Hebron, Debir, Anab, Judah, and Israel, and he completely destroyed them and their towns.

22. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమందు అనాకీయు లలో ఎవడును మిగిలియుండలేదు; గాజాలోను గాతు లోను అష్డోదులోను మాత్రమే కొందరు మిగిలియుండిరి.

22. There were no Anakites left living in the land of the Israelites and only a few were left in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod.

23. యెహోవా మోషేతో చెప్పినట్లు యెహోషువ దేశ మంతటిని పట్టుకొనెను. యెహోషువ వారి గోత్రముల చొప్పున ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా దాని నప్ప గించెను. అప్పుడు యుద్ధములేకుండ దేశము సుభిక్షముగా నుండెను.

23. Joshua took control of all the land of Israel as the Lord had told Moses to do long ago. He gave the land to Israel, because he had promised it to them. Then Joshua divided the land among the tribes of Israel, and there was peace in the land.
