1. లాబాను కుమారులు మన తండ్రికి కలిగినది యావత్తును యాకోబు తీసికొని, మన తండ్రికి కలిగిన దానివలన ఈ యావదాస్తి సంపాదించెనని చెప్పుకొనిన మాటలు యాకోబు వినెను.

1. Then heard he the words of the sons of Laban, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that belonged to our father; Yea out of what belonged to our father, hath he made all this wealth.

2. మరియు అతడు లాబాను ముఖము చూచినప్పుడు అది నిన్న మొన్న ఉండినట్లు అతనియెడల ఉండలేదు.

2. And Jacob looked upon the face of Laban, and lo! it was not with him as afore-time.

3. అప్పుడు యెహోవా నీ పితరుల దేశమునకు నీ బంధువుల యొద్దకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుము; నేను నీకు తోడైయుండెదనని యాకోబుతో చెప్పగా

3. Then said Yahweh unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers and to thy kindred, that I may be with thee.

4. యాకోబు పొలములో తన మందయొద్దకు రాహేలును లేయాను పిలువనంపి వారితో యిట్లనెను.

4. So Jacob sent, and called for Rachel and for Leah, to the field unto his flock;

5. మీ తండ్రి కటాక్షము నిన్న మొన్న నామీద ఉండినట్లు ఇప్పుడు నామీద నుండలేదని నాకు కనబడుచున్నది; అయితే నా తండ్రియొక్క దేవుడు నాకు తోడైయున్నాడు;

5. and said to them, Beholding, am I the face of your father, that it is not towards me as aforetime, nevertheless, the God of my father, hath been with me;

6. మీ తండ్రికి నా యావచ్ఛక్తితో కొలువు చేసితినని మీకు తెలిసే యున్నది.

6. and, ye, know that with all my vigour, have I served your father.

7. మీ తండ్రి నన్ను మోసపుచ్చి పదిమార్లు నా జీతము మార్చెను; అయినను దేవుడు అతని నాకు హానిచేయ నియ్యలేదు.

7. But, your father, hath deceived me, and hath changed my wages ton times, yet God hath not suffered him to deal harmfully with me.

8. అతడు పొడలు గలవి నీ జీతమగునని చెప్పినయెడల అప్పుడు మందలన్నియు పొడలుగల పిల్లలనీనెను. చారలుగలవి నీ జీతమగునని చెప్పినయెడల అప్పుడు మందలన్నియు చారలుగల పిల్లల నీనెను.

8. If thus he saith, The speckled, shall be thy wages, then do all the flock bring forth speckled, But if thus he saith, The ring-straked, shall be thy wages, then do all the flock bring forth ring-straked.

9. అట్లు దేవుడు మీ తండ్రి పశువులను తీసి నాకిచ్చెను.

9. So hath God stripped away the herds of your father, and given them to me.

10. మందలు చూలుకట్టు కాలమున నేను స్వప్న మందు కన్నులెత్తి చూడగా గొఱ్ఱెలను దాటు పొట్టేళ్లు చారలైనను పొడలైనను మచ్చలైనను గలవై యుండెను.

10. And it came to pass in the season when the flock were in heat, then lifted I mine eyes and beheld in a dream, and lo! the he-goats that were leaping upon the flock, were ring-straked speckled and dappled.

11. మరియు ఆ స్వప్నమందు దేవుని దూత యాకోబూ అని నన్ను పిలువగా చిత్తము ప్రభువా అని చెప్పితిని.

11. And the messenger of God said unto me in a dream, Jacob! and I said, Behold me!

12. అప్పుడు ఆయన నీ కన్నులెత్తి చూడుము; గొఱ్ఱెలను దాటుచున్న పొట్టేళ్లన్నియు చారలైనను పొడలైనను మచ్చలైనను గలవి; ఏలయనగా లాబాను నీకు చేయుచున్నది యావత్తును చూచితిని

12. Then he said Lift, I pray thee, thine eyes and behold All, the he-goats that are leaping upon the flock are ring-straked, speckled, and dappled, for I have seen all that Laban, has been doing to thee.

13. నీ వెక్కడ స్తంభముమీద నూనె పోసితివో, యెక్కడ నాకు మ్రొక్కుబడి చేసితివో ఆ బేతేలు దేవుడను నేనే. ఇప్పుడు నీవు లేచి యీ దేశములోనుండి బయలుదేరి నీవు పుట్టిన దేశమునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుమని నాతో చెప్పెననెను.

13. I, am the GOD of Beth-el, where thou didst anoint a pillar, where thou didst vow to me a vow, Now, rise, go forth out of this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

14. అందుకు రాహేలును లేయాయు యింక మా తండ్రి యింట మాకు పాలు పంపు లెక్కడివి? అతడు మమ్మును అన్యులుగా చూచుటలేదా?

14. Then responded Rachel and Leah, and said to him, Have we any longer a portion or an inheritance in the house of our father?

15. అతడు మమ్మును అమ్మివేసి, మాకు రావలసిన ద్రవ్యమును బొత్తుగా తినివేసెను.

15. Are we not accounted, aliens, to him seeing that having sold us, he hath then gone on devouring, our silver?

16. దేవుడు మా తండ్రి యొద్దనుండి తీసివేసిన ధనమంతయు మాదియు మా పిల్లలదియునైయున్నది గదా? కాబట్టి దేవుడు నీతో చెప్పినట్లెల్ల చేయుమని అతనికుత్తర మియ్యగా

16. Surely all the riches which God hath stripped off from our father, unto us, it belongeth, and unto our sons, Now, therefore, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.

17. యాకోబు లేచి తన కుమారులను తన భార్యలను ఒంటెలమీద నెక్కించి

17. So Jacob arose, and mounted his sons and his wives on the camels;

18. కనాను దేశమునకు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు నొద్దకు వెళ్లుటకు తన పశువులన్నిటిని, తాను సంపాదించిన సంపద యావత్తును, పద్దనరాములో తాను సంపాదించిన ఆస్తి యావత్తును తీసికొని పోయెను.

18. and drave away all his herds and all his goods which he had gathered, the gains he had gained, which he had gathered in Padan-aram; that he might go in unto Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.

19. లాబాను తన గొఱ్ఱెలబొచ్చు కత్తిరించుటకు వెళ్లియుండగా రాహేలు తన తండ్రి యింటనున్న గృహ దేవతలను దొంగిలెను.

19. Now, Laban, had gone, to shear his sheep, so Rachel stole the household gods that belonged to her father,

20. యాకోబు తాను పారిపోవు చున్నానని సిరియావాడైన లాబానుకు తెలియచేయక పోవుట వలన అతని మోసపుచ్చినవాడాయెను.

20. Thus Jacob stole away unawares to Laban, the Syrian, in that he had not told him that he was about to flee.

21. అతడు తనకు కలిగిన దంతయు తీసికొని పారిపోయెను. అతడు లేచి నది దాటి గిలాదను కొండతట్టు అభిముఖుడై వెళ్లెను.

21. So he fled, the and all that he had, and he arose, and passed over the River, and set his face towards the mountain of Gilead.

22. యాకోబు పారిపోయెనని మూడవ దినమున లాబానుకు తెలుపబడెను.

22. And it was told Laban, on the third day, that Jacob had fled.

23. అతడు తన బంధువులను వెంటబెట్టుకొని, యేడు దినముల ప్రయాణమంత దూరము అతని తరుముకొని పోయి, గిలాదు కొండమీద అతని కలిసికొనెను.

23. So he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him a journey of seven days and overtook him in the mountain of Gilead.

24. ఆ రాత్రి స్వప్నమందు దేవుడు సిరియావాడైన లాబాను నొద్దకు వచ్చినీవు యాకోబుతో మంచిగాని చెడ్డగాని పలుకకుము జాగ్రత్త సుమీ అని అతనితో చెప్పెను.

24. And God went in unto Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said to him Take heed to thyself that thou speak not with Jacob either good or bad.

25. లాబాను యాకోబును కలిసికొనెను. యాకోబు తన గుడారము ఆ కొండమీద వేసికొనియుండెను; లాబానును తన బంధువులతో గిలాదు కొండమీద గుడారము వేసి కొనెను.

25. So then Laban came up with Jacob, Jacob, having pitched his tent in the mountain, Laban, also, with his brethren pitched in the mountain of Gilead.

26. అప్పుడు లాబాను యాకోబుతో నీవేమి చేసితివి? నన్ను మోసపుచ్చి, కత్తితో చెరపట్టబడిన వారిని వలె నా కుమార్తెలను కొనిపోవనేల?

26. Then said Laban to Jacob, What hadst thou done, that thou shouldst steal away unawares to me, and shouldst carry off my daughters, as captives of the sword?

27. నీవు నాకు చెప్పక రహస్యముగా పారిపోయి నన్ను మోసపుచ్చితివేల? సంభ్రమముతోను పాటలతోను మద్దెలతోను సితారాలతోను నిన్ను సాగనంపుదునే.

27. Wherefore didst thou secretly flee, and rob me, and didst not tell me, that I might send thee away with rejoicing and with songs, with timbrel and with lyre;

28. అయితే నీవు నా కుమారులను నా కుమార్తెలను నన్ను ముద్దు పెట్టు కొననియ్యక పిచ్చిపట్టి యిట్లు చేసితివి.

28. and didst not suffer me to kiss my sons and my daughters? Now, hast thou done, foolishly.

29. మీకు హాని చేయుటకు నా చేతనవును; అయితే పోయిన రాత్రి మీ తండ్రియొక్క దేవుడు నీవు యాకోబుతో మంచి గాని చెడ్డగాని పలుకకుము జాగ్రత్త సుమీ అని నాతో చెప్పెను.

29. It is in the power of my hand, to deal with thee for harm, but the God of your father, last night, spake unto me, saying, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not with Jacob, either good or bad.

30. నీ తండ్రి యింటిమీద బహు వాంఛగల వాడవై వెళ్లగోరిన యెడల వెళ్లుము, నా దేవతల నేల దొంగిలితివనగా

30. But, now, though thou, didst even take thy journey, because thou, didst sorely long, for the house of thy father,, wherefore didst thou steal away my gods?

31. యాకోబు నీవు బలవంతముగా నా యొద్దనుండి నీ కుమార్తెలను తీసికొందువేమో అనుకొని భయపడితిని

31. And Jacob answered and said unto Laban, Because I was afraid, for I said, Lest thou take by force thy daughters from me!

32. ఎవరియొద్ద నీ దేవతలు కనబడునో వారు బ్రదుకకూడదు. నీవు నా యొద్దనున్న వాటిని మన బంధువుల యెదుట వెదకి నీ దానిని తీసికొనుమని లాబానుతో చెప్పెను. రాహేలు వాటిని దొంగిలెనని యాకోబునకు తెలియలేదు.

32. He with whom thou find thy gods, shall not live! Before our brethren, note thou for thyself what is with me and take what is thine. Neither did Jacob know that, Rachel, had stolen them.

33. లాబాను యాకోబు గుడారములోనికి లేయా గుడారము లోనికి ఇద్దరి దాసీల గుడారములలోనికి వెళ్లెను గాని అతని కేమియు దొరకలేదు. తరువాత అతడు లేయా గుడారములోనుండి బయలుదేరి రాహేలు గుడారములోనికి వెళ్లెను.

33. Then entered Laban into the tent of Jacob and into the tent of Leah and into the tent of the two handmaids, and found nothing, then went he forth out of the tent of Leah, and entered into the tent of Rachel.

34. రాహేలు ఆ విగ్రహములను తీసికొని ఒంటె సామగ్రిలో పెట్టి వాటిమీద కూర్చుండెను. కాగా లాబాను ఆ గుడారమందంతటను తడవి చూచి నప్పటికిని అవి దొరకలేదు.

34. Now Rachel, had taken the household gods and put them in the basket-saddle of the camel, and taken her seat upon them. And Laban felt about throughout all the tent, and found them not.

35. ఆమె తన తండ్రితో తమ యదుట నేను లేవలేనందున తాము కోపపడకూడదు; నేను కడగానున్నానని చెప్పెను. అతడెంత వెదకినను ఆ విగ్రహములు దొరకలేదు.

35. And she said unto her father, Let it not be vexing in the eyes of my lord that I cannot rise up at thy presence, for, the way of women, is upon me. So he made search, but found not the household gods,

36. యాకోబు కోపపడి లాబానుతో వాదించి అతనితో నీవిట్లు మండిపడి నన్ను తరుమ నేల? నేను చేసిన ద్రోహమేమి? పాపమేమి?

36. And it was vexing to Jacob and he contended with Laban, and Jacob responded and said to Laban, What was my trespass, what my sin, that thou shouldst have come burning after me?

37. నీవు నా సమస్త సామగ్రి తడివి చూచిన తరువాత నీ యింటి వస్తువులన్నిటిలో ఏది దొరికెను? నా వారి యెదుటను నీ వారియెదుటను అది యిట్లు తెచ్చిపెట్టుము; వారు మన ఉభయుల మధ్య తీర్పు తీర్చుదురు.

37. Now that thou hast felt about among all my goods, what hast thou found of the goods of thine own house? Set it out here, right before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may give sentence betwixt us two.

38. ఈ యిరువది యేండ్లు నేను నీయొద్దనుంటిని. నీ గొఱ్ఱెలైనను మేకలైనను ఈచుకొని పోలేదు, నీ మంద పొట్టేళ్లను నేను తినలేదు.

38. This twenty years' time, have, I, been with thee Thy ewes and thy she-goats, have not cast their young, And the rams of thy flock, have I not eaten,

39. దుష్ట మృగములచేత చీల్చబడినదానిని నీ యొద్దకు తేక ఆ నష్టము నేనే పెట్టుకొంటిని. పగటియందు దొంగిలింపబడిన దాని నేమి రాత్రియందు దొంగి లింపబడినదాని నేమి నాయొద్ద పుచ్చుకొంటివి; నేను ఈలాగుంటిని.

39. The torn, have I not brought in unto thee I bare the loss, At my hand, didst thou require it, Stolen by day, or stolen by night.

40. పగటి యెండకును రాత్రి మంచుకును నేను క్షీణించిపోతిని; నిద్ర నా కన్నులకు దూరమాయెను.

40. Thus have I been By day, drought hath consumed me, And, frost, by, night, So that my sleep fled away from mine eyes.

41. ఇదివరకు నీ యింటిలో ఇరువది యేండ్లు ఉంటిని. నీ యిద్దరి కుమార్తెల నిమిత్తము పదునాలు గేండ్లును, నీ మంద నిమిత్తము ఆరేండ్లును నీకు కొలువు చేసితిని. అయినను నీవు నా జీతము పదిమారులు మార్చితివి.

41. This, hath been my lot twenty years in thy house, I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, And six years for thy sheep And thou didst change my wages ten times:

42. నా తండ్రి దేవుడు, అబ్రాహాము దేవుడు, ఇస్సాకు భయపడిన దేవుడు నాకు తోడైయుండనియెడల నిశ్చయముగా నీవు నన్ను వట్టి చేతులతోనే పంపివేసి యుందువు. దేవుడు నా ప్రయాసమును నా చేతుల కష్టమును చూచి, పోయిన రాత్రి నిన్ను గద్దించెనని లాబానుతో చెప్పెను.

42. But that the God of my father The God of Abraham, and the Dread of Isaac Proved to he mine, Surely even now, empty, hadst thou let me go? My humiliation and the wearying toil of my hands, God had seen, And therefore gave sentence last night!

43. అందుకు లాబాను ఈ కుమార్తెలు నా కుమార్తెలు, ఈ కుమారులు నా కుమారులు, ఈ మంద నా మంద, నీకు కనబడుచున్నది అంతయు నాది, ఈ నా కుమార్తెలనైనను వీరు కనిన కుమారుల నైనను నేనేమి చేయగలను.

43. Then responded Laban and said unto Jacob the daughters, are my daughters, And the sons, are my sons, And the sheep are my sheep, And, all that, thou, beholdest, To me doth it belong! But to my daughters, what can I do to these this day, Or to their sons whom they have borne?

44. కావున నేనును నీవును నిబంధన చేసికొందము రమ్ము, అది నాకును నీకును మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉండునని యాకోబుతో ఉత్తరమియ్యగా

44. Now, therefore, come on! Let us solemnise a covenant, I and thou, So shall it be a witness betwixt me and thee.

45. యాకోబు ఒక రాయి తీసికొని దానిని స్తంభముగా నిలువబెట్టెను.

45. So Jacob took a stone, and set it up as a pillar.

46. మరియు యాకోబు రాళ్లు కూర్చుడని తన బంధువులతో చెప్పెను. వారు రాళ్లు తెచ్చి కుప్ప వేసిరి; అక్కడ వారు ఆ కుప్ప యొద్ద భోజనము చేసిరి.

46. Then said Jacob to his brethren Gather stones. And they took stones and made a heap, and they did eat there, by the heap.

47. లాబాను దానికి యగర్‌ శాహదూతా అను పేరు పెట్టెను. అయితే యాకోబు దానికి గలేదు అను పేరు పెట్టెను.

47. And Laban called it, Jegar-sahadutha, but, Jacob, called it, Galeed.

48. లాబాను నేడు ఈ కుప్ప నాకును నీకును మధ్య సాక్షిగా ఉండునని చెప్పెను. కాబట్టి దానికి గలేదను పేరుపెట్టెను. మరియు మనము ఒకరికొకరము దూరముగా నుండగా యెహోవా నాకును నీకును మధ్య జరుగునది కనిపెట్టునని చెప్పెను గనుక దానికి మిస్పా అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.

48. Then said Laban: This heap, be witness betwixt me, and thee, to-day. For this cause, is the name thereof called Galeed;

49. అంతట లాబాను నీవు నా కుమార్తెలను బాధ పెట్టినను, నా కుమార్తెలను గాక యితర స్త్రీలను పెండ్లి చేసికొనినను, చూడుము,

49. also, The Watch Tower, as to which it is said, Yahweh watch betwixt me and thee, when we are parted one from another.

50. మనయొద్ద ఎవరును లేరు గదా, నాకును నీకును దేవుడే సాక్షి అని చెప్పెను.

50. If thou oppress my daughters, or if thou take wives besides my daughters, there may be no man with us see! God, be witness betwixt me, and thee!

51. మరియు లాబాను నాకును నీకును మధ్య నేను నిలిపిన యీ స్తంభమును చూడుము ఈ కుప్ప చూడుము.

51. And Laban said to Jacob Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have set betwixt me, and thee:

52. హానిచేయవలెనని నేను ఈ కుప్ప దాటి నీ యొద్దకు రాకను, నీవు ఈ కుప్పను ఈ స్తంభమును దాటి నా యొద్దకు రాకను ఉండుటకు ఈ కుప్ప సాక్షి యీ స్తంభమును సాక్షి.

52. A witness, be this heap, and, a witness, the pillar, That, I, am not to pass, unto thee, over this heap, And, thou, art not to pass, unto me, over this heap and this pillar for harm.

53. అబ్రాహాము దేవుడు నాహోరు దేవుడు వారి తండ్రి దేవుడు మన మధ్య న్యాయము తీర్చునని చెప్పెను. అప్పుడు యాకోబు తన తండ్రియైన ఇస్సాకు భయపడిన దేవునితోడని ప్రమాణము చేసెను.

53. The Gods of Abraham and the Gods of Nahor judge betwixt us the Gods of their fathers. And Jacob sware by the Dread of his father Isaac:

54. యాకోబు ఆ కొండమీద బలియర్పించి భోజనము చేయుటకు తన బంధువులను పిలువగా వారు భోజనముచేసి కొండమీద ఆ రాత్రి వెళ్లబుచ్చిరి.

54. and Jacob offered sacrifice in the mountain, and called on his brethren to eat bread. So they did eat bread, and tarried the night in the mountain.

55. తెల్లవారినప్పుడు లాబాను లేచి తన కుమారులను తన కుమార్తెలను ముద్దు పెట్టుకొని వారిని దీవించి బయలుదేరి తన ఊరికి వెళ్లి పోయెను.

55. And Laban rose up early in the morning, and kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed them: and Laban went his way and returned to his place.
