1. హిజ్కియా విని తన బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకు పోయి

1. And it came to pass, when King Hezekiah heard, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and entered the house of Yahweh;

2. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడగు ఎల్యాకీమును, శాస్త్రి షెబ్నాను, యాజ కులలో పెద్దలను, ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయునైన యెషయాయొద్దకు పంపెను.

2. and sent Eliakim who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet, son of Amoz;

3. వీరు గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఇట్లనిరిహిజ్కియా సెల విచ్చునదేమనగాఈ దినము శ్రమయు శిక్షయు దూష ణయు గల దినము;పిల్లలు పుట్టవచ్చిరి గాని కనుటకు శక్తి చాలదు.

3. and they said unto him Thus, saith Hezekiah, A day of trouble, and rebuke, and reviling, is this day, for children are come to the birth, and, strength, is there none to bring forth!

4. జీవముగల దేవుని దూషించుటకై అష్షూరు రాజైన తన యజమానునిచేత పంపబడిన రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలన్నియు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఒకవేళ ఆలకించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వినబడియున్న ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి ఆయన అష్షూరురాజును గద్దించునేమో కాబట్టి నిలిచిన శేషముకొరకు నీవు హెచ్చుగా ప్రార్థన చేయుము.

4. It may be that Yahweh thy God will hear all the words of Rab-shakeh, whom the king of Assyria his lord hath sent, to reproach a Living God, and will rebuke the words, which Yahweh thy God hath heard, Wherefore lift thou up a prayer, for the remnant that remaineth.

5. రాజైన హిజ్కియా సేవకులు యెషయాయొద్దకు రాగా

5. So the servants of King Hezekiah came unto Isaiah.

6. యెషయా వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీ యజమానునికి ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజు పనివారు నన్ను దూషింపగా నీవు వినిన మాటలకు భయపడవద్దు.

6. And Isaiah said unto them, Thus, shall ye, say, unto your lord, Thus, saith Yahweh Be not thou afraid, because of the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled, me:

7. అతనిలో ఒక యాత్మను నేను పుట్టింతును, అతడు వదంతి విని తన దేశమునకు వెళ్ళి పోవును; తన దేశమందు కత్తిచేత అతని కూలచేయుదును.

7. Behold me! about to let go against him, a blast, and, when he heareth the report, then will he return to his own country, and I will cause him to fall by the sword, in his own land.

8. అష్షూరురాజు లాకీషు పట్టణమును విడిచి వెళ్లి లిబ్నా మీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా రబ్షాకే పోయి అతని కలిసికొనెను.

8. So Rab-shakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, for he had heard that he had broken up from Lachish.

9. అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తనమీదయుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడి నప్పుడు, అతడు ఇంకొకసారి హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూత లను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

9. And when he heard say of Tirhakah, king of Ethiopia, saying, Lo! he hath come forth to fight with thee, then he again sent messengers unto Hezekiah, saying

10. యూదారాజగు హిజ్కియాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజుచేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొని యున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.

10. Thus, shall ye, speak, unto Hezekiah king of Judah, saying Let not thy God in whom thou art trusting beguile thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given over, into the hand of the king of Assyria.

11. ఇదిగో అష్షూరు రాజులు సకల దేశములను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?

11. Lo! thou thyself, hast heard, what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, in devoting them to destruction, and shalt, thou, be delivered?

12. నా పితరులు నిర్మూలముచేసిన గోజానువారు గాని హారాను వారు గాని, రెజెపులు గాని, తెలశ్శారులో నుండిన ఏదె నీయులు గాని తమ దేవతల సహాయమువలన తప్పించు కొనిరా?

12. Did the gods of the nations, deliver them, whom my fathers destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the sons of Eden, who were in Telassar?

13. హమాతు రాజు ఏమాయెను? అర్పాదురాజును సెపర్వియీము హేన ఇవ్వా అను పట్టణముల రాజులును ఏమైరి?

13. Where are the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?

14. హిజ్కియా దూతలచేతిలోనుండి ఆ ఉత్తరము తీసికొని చదివి, యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోయి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని దాని విప్పి పరచి

14. And, when Hezekiah had received the letter at the hand of the messengers, and had read it, then went he up to the house of Yahweh, and Hezekiah spread it out before Yahweh.

15. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెనుయెహోవా, కెరూబుల మధ్యను నివసించుచున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, భూమ్యా కాశములను కలుగజేసిన అద్వితీయ దేవా, నీవు లోక మందున్న సకల రాజ్యములకు దేవుడవైయున్నావు.

15. And Hezekiah prayed before Yahweh, and said, O Yahweh, God of Israel, inhabiting the cherubim, thou thyself, art GOD, alone, for all the kingdoms of the earth, thou, didst make the heavens and the earth.

16. యెహోవా, చెవియొగ్గి ఆలకింపుము; యెహోవా, కన్నులు తెరచి దృష్టించుము; జీవముగల దేవుడవైన నిన్ను దూషించుటకై సన్హెరీబు పంపినవాని మాటలను చెవిని బెట్టుము.

16. Bow down, O Yahweh, thine ear, and hear, Open, O Yahweh, thine eyes, and see, yea hear thou the words of Sennacherib, who hath sent To reproach a Living God!

17. యెహోవా, అష్షూరురాజులు ఆ జనములను వారి దేశములను పాడుచేసి

17. Of a truth, O Yahweh, the kings of Assyria have devoted to destruction the nations and their lands;

18. వారి దేవతలను అగ్నిలో వేసినది నిజమే. ఆ రాజ్యముల దేవతలు నిజమైన దేవుండ్లు కాక మనుష్యులచేత చేయబడిన కఱ్ఱలు రాళ్లే గనుక వారు వారిని నిర్మూలము చేసిరి.

18. and have put their gods in the fire, for, no-gods, were, they, but the work of the hands of men wood and stone, and so they destroyed them.

19. యెహోవా మా దేవా; లోక మందున్న సమస్త జనులు నీవే నిజముగా అద్వితీయ దేవుడ వైన యెహోవావని తెలిసికొనునట్లుగా అతనిచేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును రక్షించుము.

19. Now, therefore, O Yahweh our God, save us we pray thee, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know, that, thou, Yahweh, art God, alone!

20. అంతట ఆమోజు కుమారుడైన యెషయా హిజ్కియా యొద్దకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు నదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు విషయమందు నీవు నా యెదుట చేసిన ప్రార్థననేను అంగీకరించియున్నాను.

20. Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, What thou hast prayed unto me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.

21. అతనిగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుమాట యేదనగాసీయోను కుమారియైన కన్యక నిన్ను దూషణచేయుచున్నది; నిన్ను అపహాస్యము చేయు చున్నది; యెరూషలేము కుమారి నిన్ను చూచి తల ఊచు చున్నది.

21. This, is the word that Yahweh hath spoken concerning him, The virgin daughter of Zion, laugheth thee to scorn, mocketh thee, The daughter of Jerusalem, after thee, doth wag her head.

22. నీవు ఎవనిని తిరస్కరించితివి? ఎవనిని దూషించితివి? నీవు గర్వించి యెవనిని భయపెట్టితివి?

22. Whom, hast thou reproached, and insulted? and, against whom, hast thou lifted high thy voice? yea thou hast proudly raised thine eyes, against the Holy One of Israel.

23. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పరిశుద్ధ దేవునినేగదా నీ దూతలచేత యెహోవాను తిరస్కరించి పలికించిన మాటలు ఇవేగదా. నా రథముల సముదాయముతో నేను పర్వత శిఖరములకునులెబానోను పార్శ్వములకును ఎక్కియున్నానుఎత్తుగల దాని దేవదారు వృక్షములను శ్రేష్ఠమైన సరళవృక్షములను నరికివేసి యున్నానువాని దూరపు సరిహద్దులలో సత్రములలోనికినికర్మెలు ఫలవంతములగు క్షేత్రమైన అడవిలోనికిని ప్రవేశించి యున్నాను.

23. Through thy messengers, thou hast reproached My Lord, and hast said With my multitude of chariots, have I ascended the height of the mountains, the recesses of Lebanon, and have cut down its tallest cedars, its choicest firs, and have entered the shelter of its summit, its thick garden forests.

24. నేను త్రవ్వి పరుల నీళ్లు పానము చేసియున్నాను నా అరకాలిచేత నేను దిట్టమైన స్థలముల నదుల నన్నిటిని ఎండిపో జేసియున్నాను.

24. I, have digged, and have drunk foreign waters, and have dried up, with the soles of my feet, all the streams of besieged places.

25. నేనే పూర్వమందే దీని కలుగజేసితిననియు పురాతనకాలమందే దీని నిర్ణయించితిననియు నీకు వినబడలేదా? ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను నీవు పాడు దిబ్బలుగా చేయుట నావలననే సంభవించినది.

25. Hast thou not heard that, long ago, that, is what I appointed, and, from days of old, devised it? Now, have I brought it to pass, that thou mightest serve to lay waste, in desolate ruins, fortified cities;

26. కాబట్టి వాటి కాపురస్థులు బలహీనులై జడిసిరి విభ్రాంతినొంది పొలములోని గడ్డివలెను కాడవేయని చేలవలెను అయిరి.

26. And, their inhabitants, being powerless, were overthrown and put to shame, they became grass of the field, and young herbage, grass on housetops, and seed withered before it came up.

27. నీవు కూర్చుండుటయు బయలువెళ్లుటయు లోపలికి వచ్చుటయు నామీదవేయు రంకెలును నాకు తెలిసేయున్నవి.

27. Howbeit, thine abode, and thy coming out and thy going in, I know, and thy raging against me.

28. నామీద నీవు వేయు రంకెలును నీవు చేసిన కలహమును నా చెవులలో జొచ్చెను గనుక నా గాలమును నీ ముక్కునకు తగిలించెదను. నా కళ్లెము నీ నోటిలో పెట్టి నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను. నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గముననే నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను.

28. Because, thy raging against me, and thy contempt, have come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my ring in thy nose, and my bit in thy lips, and will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

29. మరియు యెషయా చెప్పినదేమనగాహిజ్కియా, నీ కిదే సూచనయగును. ఈ సంవత్సరమందు దానంతట అదే పండు ధాన్యమును, రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు దాని నుండి కలుగు ధాన్యమును మీరు భుజింతురు, మూడవ సంవత్సరమున మీరు విత్తనము విత్తి చేలు కోయుదురు; ద్రాక్షతోటలు నాటి వాటిఫలము అనుభవించుదురు.

29. And, this unto thee, is the sign Eating, this year, the growth of scattered seeds, and, in the second year, that which groweth after, then, in the third year, sow ye and reap, plant ye vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof;

30. యూదా వంశములో తప్పించుకొనిన శేషము ఇంకను క్రిందికి వేరు తన్ని మీదికి ఎదిగి ఫలించును.

30. Then shall the escaped of the house of Judah that remain, again take root downward, and bear fruit upward;

31. శేషించు వారు యెరూషలేములోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు;తప్పించు కొనినవారు సీయోను కొండలోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు; సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తి దీని నెర వేర్చును.

31. For, out of Jerusalem, shall go forth a remnant, and that which hath escaped out of Mount Zion, the jealousy of Yahweh of hosts, will perform this.

32. కాబట్టి అష్షూరు రాజునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అతడు ఈ పట్టణములోనికి రాడు; దానిమీద ఒక బాణమైన ప్రయోగింపడు; ఒక కేడెమునైన దానికి కనుపరచడు; దానియెదుట ముట్టడిదిబ్బ కట్టడు.

32. Therefore Thus, saith Yahweh, concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not enter this city, nor shoot there, an arrow, nor attack it with shield, nor cast up against it, a mound;

33. ఈ పట్టణములోపలికి రాక తాను వచ్చిన మార్గముననే అతడు తిరిగి పోవును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

33. By the way that he cometh in, by the same, shall he return, and, into this city, shall he not enter, declareth Yahweh!

34. నా నిమిత్తమును నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కాపాడి రక్షించుదును.

34. Thus will I throw a covering over this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for the sake of David my servant.

35. ఆ రాత్రియే యెహోవా దూత బయలుదేరి అష్షూరు వారి దండు పేటలో జొచ్చి లక్ష యెనుబది యయిదు వేలమందిని హతముచేసెను. ఉదయమున జనులు లేచి చూడగా వారందరును మృతకళేబరములై యుండిరి.

35. And it came to pass, during that night, that the messenger of Yahweh went forth, and smote, in the camp of the Assyrians, a hundred and eighty-five thousand. And, when men arose early in the morning, lo! they were all, dead bodies!

36. అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు తిరిగి పోయి నీనెవె పట్టణమునకు

36. So Sennacherib king of Assyria brake up, and went his way, and returned, and remained in Nineveh.

37. వచ్చి నివసించిన తరువాతఒఅతడు నిస్రోకు అను తన దేవత మందిరమందు మ్రొక్కుచుండగా అతని కుమారులైన అద్రెమ్మెలెకును షరెజెరును ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి అరా రాతు దేశములోనికి తప్పించుకొని పోయిరి; అప్పుడు అతని కుమారుడైన ఏసర్హద్దోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

37. And it came to pass, as he was bowing down in the house of Nisroch his god, that, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons , smote him with the sword, howbeit, they, escaped into the land of Ararat, and Esarhaddon his son, reigned, in his stead.
