1. అప్పుడు యోబు ఈలాగున ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను

1. Forsothe Joob answeride, and seide,

2. నా మాట మీరు జాగ్రత్తగా వినుడి నా మాట మీ ఆదరణ మాటకు ప్రతిగా నుండుగాక.

2. Y preye, here ye my wordis, and do ye penaunce.

3. నాకు సెలవిచ్చినయెడల నేను మాటలాడెదను నేను మాటలాడిన తరువాత మీరు అపహాస్యము చేయవచ్చును.

3. Suffre ye me, that Y speke; and leiye ye aftir my wordis, if it schal seme worthi.

4. నేను మనుష్యుని గురించి మొఱ్ఱపెట్టుకొన్నానా? లేదు గనుక నేను ఏల ఆతురపడకూడదు?

4. Whether my disputyng is ayens man, that skilfuli Y owe not to be sori?

5. నన్ను తేరిచూచి ఆశ్చర్యపడుడి నోటిమీద చేయి వేసికొనుడి.

5. Perseyue ye me, and be ye astonyed; and sette ye fyngur on youre mouth.

6. నేను దాని మనస్సునకు తెచ్చుకొనిన యెడల నాకేమియు తోచకున్నది నా శరీరమునకు వణకు పుట్టుచున్నది.

6. And whanne Y bithenke, Y drede, and tremblyng schakith my fleisch.

7. భక్తిహీనులు ఏల బ్రదుకుదురు? వారు వృద్ధులై బలాభివృద్ధి ఏల నొందుదురు?

7. Whi therfor lyuen wickid men? Thei ben enhaunsid, and coumfortid with richessis.

8. వారుండగానే వారితోకూడ వారి సంతానము వారు చూచుచుండగా వారి కుటుంబము స్థిరపరచబడుచున్నది.

8. Her seed dwellith bifor hem; the cumpeny of kynesmen, and of sones of sones dwellith in her siyt.

9. వారి కుటుంబములు భయమేమియు లేక క్షేమముగా నున్నవి దేవుని దండము వారిమీద పడుట లేదు.

9. Her housis ben sikur, and pesible; and the yerde of God is not on hem.

10. వారి గొడ్లు దాటగా తప్పక చూలు కలుగునువారి ఆవులు ఈచుకపోక ఈనును.

10. The cow of hem conseyuede, and caluede not a deed calf; the cow caluyde, and is not priued of hir calf.

11. వారు తమ పిల్లలను మందలు మందలుగా బయటికి పంపుదురు వారి పిల్లలు నటనము చేయుదురు.

11. Her litle children goen out as flockis; and her yonge children `maken fulli ioye with pleies.

12. తంబుర స్వరమండలములను పట్టుకొని వాయించుదురు సానికనాదము విని సంతోషించుదురు.

12. Thei holden tympan, and harpe; and ioien at the soun of orgun.

13. వారు శ్రేయస్సుకలిగి తమ దినములు గడుపుదురు ఒక్కక్షణములోనే పాతాళమునకు దిగుదురు.

13. Thei leden in goodis her daies; and in a point thei goen doun to hellis.

14. వారు నీ మార్గములను గూర్చిన జ్ఞానము మాకక్కరలేదు నీవు మమ్మును విడిచిపొమ్మని దేవునితో చెప్పుదురు.

14. Whiche men seiden to God, Go thou awei fro us; we nylen the kunnyng of thi weies.

15. మేము ఆయనను సేవించుటకు సర్వశక్తుడగువాడెవడు? మేము ఆయననుగూర్చి ప్రార్థనచేయుట చేత మాకేమి లాభము కలుగును? అని వారు చెప్పుదురు

15. Who is Almiyti God, that we serue him? and what profitith it to vs, if we preien him?

16. వారి క్షేమము వారి చేతిలో లేదు భక్తిహీనుల యోచన నాకు దూరముగా నుండును గాక.

16. Netheles for her goodis ben not in her hond, `that is, power, the counsel of wickid men be fer fro me.

17. భక్తిశూన్యుల దీపము ఆర్పివేయబడుట అరుదుగదా. వారిమీదికి ఆపదవచ్చుట బహు అరుదు గదా.

17. Hou ofte schal the lanterne of wickid men be quenchid, and flowing schal come on hem, and God schal departe the sorewis of his stronge veniaunce?

18. వారు తుపాను ఎదుట కొట్టుకొనిపోవు చెత్తవలెనుగాలి యెగరగొట్టు పొట్టువలెను ఉండునట్లు ఆయన కోపపడి వారికి వేదనలు నియమించుట అరుదు గదా.

18. Thei schulen be as chaffis bifor the face of the wynd; and as a deed sparcle, whiche the whirlewynd scaterith abrood.

19. వారి పిల్లలమీద మోపుటకై దేవుడు వారి పాపమును దాచిపెట్టునేమో? అని మీరు చెప్పుచున్నారుచేసినవారు దానిని అనుభవించునట్లు ఆయన వారికే ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చును గాక

19. God schal kepe the sorewe of the fadir to hise sones; and whanne he hath yoldun, thanne he schal wite.

20. వారే కన్నులార తమ నాశనమును చూతురుగాక సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుని కోపాగ్నిని వారు త్రాగుదురుగాక. తమ జీవితకాలము సమాప్తమైన తరువాత

20. Hise iyen schulen se her sleyng; and he schal drynke of the stronge veniaunce of Almyyti God.

21. తాము పోయిన తరువాత తమ ఇంటిమీద వారికి చింత ఏమి?

21. For whi what perteyneth it to hym of his hows aftir hym, thouy the noumbre of his monethis be half takun awey?

22. ఎవడైనను దేవునికి జ్ఞానము నేర్పునా? పరలోకవాసులకు ఆయన తీర్పు తీర్చును గదా.

22. Whether ony man schal teche God kunnyng, which demeth hem that ben hiye?

23. ఒకడు తన కడవలలో పాలు నిండియుండగను తన యెముకలలో మూలుగ బలిసియుండగను

23. This yuel man dieth strong and hool, riche and blesful, `that is, myrie.

24. సంపూర్ణ సౌఖ్యమును నెమ్మదియును కలిగి నిండు ఆయుష్యముతో మృతినొందును

24. Hise entrails ben ful of fatnesse; and hise boonys ben moistid with merowis.

25. వేరొకడు ఎన్నడును క్షేమమనుదాని నెరుగక మనోదుఃఖము గలవాడై మృతినొందును.

25. Sotheli anothir wickid man dieth in the bittirnesse of his soule, and with outen ony richessis.

26. వారు సమానముగ మంటిలో పండుకొందురు పురుగులు వారిద్దరిని కప్పును.

26. And netheles thei schulen slepe togidere in dust, and wormes schulen hile hem.

27. మీ తలంపులు నేనెరుగుదును మీరు నామీద అన్యాయముగా పన్నుచున్న పన్నాగములు నాకు తెలిసినవి.

27. Certis Y knowe youre wickid thouytis, and sentensis ayens me.

28. అధిపతుల మందిరము ఎక్కడ నున్నది? భక్తిహీనులు నివసించిన గుడారము ఎక్కడ ఉన్నది అని మీరడుగుచున్నారే.

28. For ye seien, Where is the hows of the prince? and where ben the tabernaclis of wickid men?

29. దేశమున సంచరించు వారిని మీరడుగలేదా?వారు తెలియజేసిన సంగతులు మీరు గురుతు పట్ట లేదా?

29. Axe ye ech of `the weie goeris; and ye schulen knowe, that he vndurstondith these same thingis,

30. అవి ఏవనగా దుర్జనులు ఆపత్కాలమందు కాపాడబడుదురు ఉగ్రతదినమందు వారు తోడుకొని పోబడుదురు.

30. that an yuel man schal be kept in to the dai of perdicioun, and schal be led to the dai of woodnesse.

31. వారి ప్రవర్తనను బట్టి వారితో ముఖాముఖిగా మాటలనగలవాడెవడు? వారు చేసినదానినిబట్టి వారికి ప్రతికారము చేయువాడెవడు?

31. Who schal repreue hise weies bifor hym? and who schal yelde to hym tho thingis, whiche he hath doon?

32. వారు సమాధికి తేబడుదురు సమాధి శ్రద్ధగా కావలికాయబడును

32. He schal be led to the sepulcris; and he schal wake in the heep of deed men.

33. పల్లములోని మంటి పెల్లలు వారికి ఇంపుగా నున్నవి మనుష్యులందరు వారివెంబడి పోవుదురు ఆలాగుననే లెక్క లేనంతమంది వారికి ముందుగాపోయిరి.

34. మీరు చెప్పు ప్రత్యుత్తరములు నమ్మదగినవి కావుఇట్టి నిరర్థకమైన మాటలతో మీరేలాగు నన్ను ఓదార్చ జూచెదరు?
