1. హిజ్కియా విని తన బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకుపోయి

1. And it came to pass, when King Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and entered the house of Yahweh;

2. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడగు ఎల్యాకీమును, శాస్త్రియగు షెబ్నాను, యాజకులలో పెద్దలను, ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయు నైన యెషయాయొద్దకు పంపెను.

2. and sent Eliakim who was over the household and Shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet, Son of Amoz;

3. వీరు గోనెపట్ట కట్టు కొనినవారై అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఇట్లనిరిహిజ్కియా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగాఈ దినము శ్రమయు శిక్షయు దూషణయు గల దినము, పిల్లలు పుట్టవచ్చిరి గాని కనుటకు శక్తి చాలదు.

3. and they said unto him, Thus, saith Hezekiah, A day of distress and rebuke and reviling, is this day, For children are come to the birth, and, strength, is there none to bring forth.

4. జీవముగల దేవుని దూషించు టకై అష్షూరురాజైన తన యజమానునిచేత పంపబడిన రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఒకవేళ ఆలకించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వినబడియున్న ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి ఆయన అష్షూరురాజును గద్దించునేమో. కాబట్టి నిలిచిన శేషముకొరకు నీవు హెచ్చుగా ప్రార్థన చేయుము.

4. It may be, that Yahweh thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh whom the king of Assyria his lord, hath sent to reproach a Living God, and will rebuke the words which Yahweh thy God hath heard, Wherefore lift thou up a prayer, for the remnant that remaineth.

5. రాజైన హిజ్కియా సేవకులు యెషయా యొద్దకు రాగా

5. So the servants of King Hezekiah came unto Isaiah.

6. యెషయా వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీ యజమానునికి ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడి; యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజు సేవకులు నన్ను దూషింపగా నీవు వినిన మాటలకు భయపడవద్దు.

6. And Isaiah said unto them, Thus, shall ye, surely say, unto your lord, Thus, saith Yahweh Be not thou afraid because of the words which thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled, Me.

7. అతనిలో ఒక ఆత్మను నేను పుట్టింతును; వదంతి విని తన దేశమునకు వెళ్లిపోవును. అతని దేశమందు ఖడ్గముచేత అతనిని కూలజేయుదును.

7. Behold me! about to let go against him a blast of alarm, and when he heareth the report, then will lie return to his own country, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

8. అష్షూరురాజు లాకీషు పట్టణమును విడిచి వెళ్లి లిబ్నా మీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా రబ్షాకే పోయి అతని కలిసికొనెను.

8. So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria, warring against Libnah, for he had heard, that he had broken up from Lachish.

9. అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తన మీద యుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడినప్పుడు అతడు హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూతలను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

9. And he heard it reported concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, saying, He hath come forth to fight with thee, so when he heard it, he sent messengers unto Hezekiah, saying:

10. యూదా రాజగు హిజ్కి యాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజు చేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొనియున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.

10. Thus, shall ye surely speak unto Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom, thou, art trusting, beguile thee, saying, Jerusalem, shall not be given over, into the hand of the king of Assyria.

11. అష్షూరురాజులు సకలదేశము లను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా; నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?

11. Lo! thou, thyself, hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands in devoting them to destruction, and shalt, thou, be delivered?

12. నా పితరులు నిర్మూ లముచేసిన గోజానువారు గాని హారానువారు గాని రెజెపులు గాని తెలశ్శారులోనుండిన ఏదెనీయులు గాని తమ దేవతల సహాయమువలన తప్పించుకొనిరా?

12. Did the gods of the nations, deliver them, whom my fathers destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the sons of Eden, who were in Telassar?

13. హమాతు రాజు ఏమాయెను? అర్పాదురాజును సెపర్వయీము హేన ఇవ్వా అను పట్టణముల రాజులును ఏమైరి? అని వ్రాసిరి

13. Where are the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?

14. హిజ్కియా దూతలచేతిలోనుండి ఆ ఉత్తరము తీసికొని చదివి యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోయి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని దాని విప్పి పరచి

14. And, when Hezekiah had received the letter at the hand of the messengers, and had read it, then went he up to the house of Yahweh, and Hezekiah spread it out, before Yahweh.

15. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెను

15. And Hezekiah prayed unto Yahweh saying:

16. యెహోవా, కెరూ బుల మధ్యను నివసించుచున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, భూమ్యాకాశములను కలుగజేసిన అద్వితీయ దేవా, నీవు లోకమందున్న సకల రాజ్యములకు దేవుడవై యున్నావు.

16. O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel inhabiting the cherubim, Thou thyself, art GOD, even thou alone, for all the kingdoms of the earth: Thou, didst make the heavens and the earth.

17. సైన్యముల కధిపతివగు యెహోవా, చెవి యొగ్గి ఆలకిం చుము; యెహోవా, కన్నులు తెరచి దృష్టించుము; జీవము గల దేవుడవైన నిన్ను దూషించుటకై సన్హెరీబు పంపిన వాని మాటలను చెవినిబెట్టుము.

17. Bow down, O Yahweh, thine ear and hear, Open, O Yahweh, thine eyes and see, Yea hear thou all the words of Sennacherib,

18. యెహోవా, అష్షూరు రాజులు ఆ జనములను వారి దేశములను పాడు చేసి

18. who hath sent to reproach a Living God. Of a truth, O Yahweh, the kings of Assyria have devoted to destruction all the countries, and their land;

19. వారి దేవతలను అగ్నిలో వేసినది నిజమే. ఆ రాజ్యముల దేవతలు నిజమైన దేవుడు కాక మనుష్యులచేత చేయబడిన కఱ్ఱలు రాళ్లు గాని దేవతలు కావు గనుక వారు వారిని నిర్మూలముచేసిరి.

19. and have put their gods in the fire, for, no-gods, were they, but the work of the hands of men wood and stone and so they destroyed them.

20. యెహోవా, లోకమందున్న నీవే నిజముగా నీవే అద్వితీయ దేవుడవైన యెహోవా వని సమస్త జనులు తెలిసికొనునట్లు అతని చేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును రక్షించుము.

20. Now, therefore, O Yahweh our God, save us, out of his hand, That all the kingdoms of the earth, may know, That, thou, art Yahweh, thou alone.

21. అంతట ఆమోజు కుమారుడైన యెషయా హిజ్కియా యొద్దకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరు రాజైన సన్హెరీబు విషయమందు నీవు నా యెదుట ప్రార్థన చేసితివే.

21. Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, In that thou hast prayed unto me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria,

22. అతనిగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుమాట ఏదనగా సీయోను కుమారియైన కన్యక నిన్ను దూషణ చేయు చున్నది ఆమె నిన్ను అపహాస్యము చేయుచున్నది యెరూషలేము కుమారి నిన్ను చూచి తల ఊచు చున్నది.

22. this, is the word which Yahweh hath spoken concerning him, The virgin daughter of Zion, laugheth thee to scorn mocketh thee, The daughter of Jerusalem after thee doth wag her head,

23. నీవు ఎవరిని తిరస్కరించితివి? ఎవరిని దూషించితివి? నీవు గర్వించి యెవరిని భయపెట్టితివి? ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పరిశుద్ధదేవునినే గదా?

23. Whom, hast thou reproached and insulted? And, against whom, hast thou lifted high thy voice? Yea thou hast proudly raised thine eyes, against the Holy One of Israel.

24. నీ దూతలచేత యెహోవాను తిరస్కరించి నీ వీలాగు పలికితివి నా రథముల సముదాయముతో నేను పర్వత శిఖర ముల మీదికిని లెబానోను పార్శ్వములకును ఎక్కియున్నాను ఎత్తుగల దాని దేవదారు వృక్షములను శ్రేష్ఠమైన సరళవృక్షములను నరికివేసియున్నాను వాని దూరపు సరిహద్దులలోనున్న సత్రములలోనికిని కర్మెలు ఫలవంతములగు క్షేత్రమైన అడవి లోనికిని ప్రవేశించియున్నాను.

24. Through thy servants, thou hast reproached My Lord and hast said, With my multitude of chariots, have I ascended The height of the mountains The recesses of Lebanon, That I may cut down Its tallest cedars Its choicest firs, That I may enter Its highest summit, Its thick garden forest:

25. నేను త్రవ్వి నీళ్లు పానముచేసియున్నాను నా అరకాలిచేత నేను దిట్టమైన స్థలముల నదుల నన్నిటిని ఎండిపోచేసియున్నాను

25. I, have digged, and drunk waters, That I may dry up, with the soles of my feet, all the Nile-streams of Egypt.

26. నేనే పూర్వమందే దీని కలుగజేసితిననియు పురాతన కాలమందే దీని నిర్ణయించితిననియు నీకు వినబడలేదా? ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను నీవు పాడు దిబ్బలుగా చేయుట నా వలననే సంభవించినది.

26. Hast thou not heard That, long ago, that, is what I appointed, And from days of old, devised? Now, have I brought it to pass, That thou mightest Serve to lay waste, in desolate ruins, fortified cities;

27. కాబట్టి వాటి కాపురస్థులు బలహీనులై జడిసిరి. విభ్రాంతినొంది పొలములోని గడ్డివలెను కాడవేయని చేలవలెను అయిరి.

27. And their inhabitants, being powerless, were overthrown and put to shame They became Grass of the field and Young herbage, Grass on housetops, and Seed parched before it came up.

28. నీవు కూర్చుండుటయు బయలువెళ్లుటయు లోపలికి వచ్చుటయు నామీదవేయు రంకెలును నాకు తెలిసేయున్నవి.

28. Howbeit, thine abode and thy coming out and thy going in, I know, and thy raging against me.

29. నామీద నీవు వేయు రంకెలును నీవు చేసిన కలహమును నా చెవులలో జొచ్చెను నా గాలము నీ ముక్కునకు తగిలించెదను నా కళ్లెము నీ నోటిలో పెట్టి నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గముననే నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను.

29. Because, thy raging against me, and thy contempt, have come up into mine ears, Therefore will I put My ring in thy nose, and My bit in thy lips, And will turn thee back, by the way by which thou earnest.

30. మరియు యెషయా చెప్పినదేమనగాహిజ్కియా, నీకిదే సూచనయగును. ఈ సంవత్సరమందు దాని అంతట అదే పండు ధాన్యమును, రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు దానినుండి కలుగు ధాన్యమును మీరు భుజింతురు. మూడవ సంవత్సరమున మీరు విత్తనము విత్తి చేలు కోయుదురు; ద్రాక్షతోటలు నాటి వాటిఫలము ననుభవించుదురు.

30. And, this unto thee, is the sign, Eating this year, the growth of scattered seeds, And in the second year, that which shooteth up of itself, Then in the third year, Sow ye and reap, and Plant ye vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

31. యూదా వంశములో తప్పించు కొనిన శేషము ఇంకను క్రిందికి వేరు తన్ని మీదికి ఎదిగి ఫలించును.

31. Then shall the escaped of the house of Judah that remain, again, Take root downward, And bear fruit upward.

32. శేషించు వారు యెరూషలేములో నుండి బయలుదేరుదురు, తప్పించు కొనినవారు సీయోను కొండలోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు; సైన్య ములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తి దీని నెర వేర్చును.

32. For, out of Jerusalem, shall come forth a remnant, And that which hath escaped, out of Mount Zion, the jealousy of Yahweh of hosts, will perform, this.

33. కాబట్టి అష్షూరురాజునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చున దేమనగా అతడు ఈ పట్టణములోనికి రాడు; దానిమీద ఒక బాణమైన ప్రయోగింపడు; ఒక కేడెము నైన దానికి కనుపరచడు; దానియెదుట ముట్టడి దిబ్బ కట్టడు.

33. Therefore, thus, saith Yahweh, concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not enter this city, Nor shoot there, an arrow, Nor attack it with shield, Nor cast up against it a mound:

34. ఈ పట్టణము లోపలికి రాక తాను వచ్చిన మార్గముననే అతడు తిరిగి పోవును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

34. By the way that he Came in, By the Same, shall he return, And into this city, shall he not enter, Declareth Yahweh.

35. నా నిమిత్తమును నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కాపాడి రక్షించుదును.

35. Thus will I throw a covering over this city to save it, For mine own sake, And for the sake of David my servant.

36. అంతట యెహోవా దూత బయలుదేరి అష్షూరువారి దండు పేటలో లక్ష యెనుబదియైదువేలమందిని మొత్తెను; ఉదయమున జనులు లేవగా వారందరును మృతకళేబరములుగా ఉండిరి.

36. Then went forth the messenger of Yahweh, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand, and when men arose early in the morning, lo! they were all, dead bodies!

37. అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు తిరిగిపోయి నీనెవె పట్టణమునకు వచ్చి నివసించిన తరువాత

37. So Sennacherib the king of Assyria brake up, and went his way, and returned, and remained in Nineveh.

38. అతడు నిస్రోకు అను తన దేవత మందిరమందు మ్రొక్కు చుండగా అతని కుమారులైన అద్రమ్మెలెకును షెరెజెరును ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి ఆరారాతుదేశములోనికి తప్పించు కొనిపోయిరి. అప్పుడు అతని కుమారుడైన ఎసర్హద్దోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

38. And it came to pass, as he was bowing down in the house of Nisroch his god, that, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons, smote him with the sword, howbeit, they, escaped into the land of Ararat, and, Esarhaddon his son, reigned, in his stead.
