1. యహోవా మందసము ఏడు నెలలు ఫిలిష్తీయుల దేశమందుండిన తరువాత

1. The Philistines kept the Holy Box in their land for seven months.

2. ఫిలిష్తీయుల యాజకులను శకు నము చూచువారిని పిలువనంపించియెహోవా మందస మును ఏమి చేయుదుము? ఏమి చేసి స్వస్థలమునకు దానిని పంపుదుమో తెలియజెప్పుడనగా

2. The Philistines called their priests and magicians and said, 'What must we do with the Lord's Box? Tell us how to send the Box back home.'

3. వారుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుని మందసమును పంపివేయ నుద్దేశించినయెడల ఊరకయే పంపక, యే విధముచేతనైనను ఆయనకు అప రాధార్థమైన అర్పణము చెల్లించి పంపవలెను. అప్పుడు మీరు స్వస్థతనొంది ఆయన హస్తము మీ మీదనుండి యెందుకు తియ్యబడక యుండెనో మీరు తెలిసికొందు రనిరి.

3. The priests and magicians answered, 'If you send back the Holy Box of the God of Israel, don't send it away empty. You must offer gifts to the God of Israel. Then you will be healed. You must do this so that God will stop punishing you.'

4. ఫలిష్తీయులుమనము ఆయనకు చెల్లింపవలసిన అపరాధార్థమైన అర్పణమేదని వారినడుగగా వారుమీ అందరిమీదను మీ సర్దారులందరి మీదను ఉన్నతెగులు ఒక్కటే గనుక, ఫిలిష్తీయుల సర్దారుల లెక్క చొప్పున అయిదు బంగారపు గడ్డల రూపములను, అయిదు బంగారపు పందికొక్కులను చెల్లింపవలెను.

4. The Philistines asked, 'What kind of gifts should we send for Israel's God to forgive us?' The priests and magicians answered, 'There are five Philistine leaders, one leader for each city. All of you and your leaders had the same problems. So you must make five gold models to look like five tumors. And you must make five gold models to look like five mice.

5. కాబట్టి మీకు కలిగిన గడ్డలుగాను భూమిని పాడుచేయు పంది కొక్కులుగాను నిరూపించబడిన గడ్డలను చుంచులను చేసి పంపించి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవునికి మహిమను చెల్లింప వలెను. అప్పుడు మీ మీదను మీ దేవతలమీదను మీ భూమిమీదను భారముగా నున్న తన హస్తమును ఆయన తీసివేయును కాబోలు.

5. So make models of the tumors and models of the mice that are ruining the country. Give these gold models to the God of Israel as payment. Then maybe the God of Israel will stop punishing you, your gods, and your land.

6. Don't be stubborn like Pharaoh and the Egyptians. God punished the Egyptians. That is why the Egyptians let the Israelites leave Egypt.

7. You must build a new wagon and get two cows that just had calves. These must be cows that have never worked in the fields. Tie the cows to the wagon so that they can pull it. Then take the calves back home and put them in their pen. Don't let them follow their mothers.

8. యెహోవా మందసమును ఆ బండిమీద ఎత్తి, అపరా ధార్థముగా ఆయనకు మీరు అర్పింపవలసిన బంగారపు వస్తువులను దాని ప్రక్కనే చిన్న పెట్టెలో ఉంచి అది మార్గమున పోవునట్లుగా విడిచిపెట్టుడి.

8. Put the Lord's Holy Box on the wagon. You must put the golden models in the bag beside the Box. They are your gifts for God to forgive your sins. Send the wagon straight on its way.

9. అది బేత్షెమెషుకు పోవు మార్గమున బడి యీ దేశపు సరిహద్దు దాటిన యెడల ఆయనే యీ గొప్పకీడు మనకు చేసెనని తెలిసి కొనవచ్చును; ఆ మార్గమున పోనియెడల ఆయన మనలను మొత్తలేదనియు, మన అదృష్టవశముచేతనే అది మనకు సంభవించెననియు తెలిసికొందు మనిరి.

9. Watch the wagon. If the wagon goes toward Beth Shemesh in Israel's own land, the Lord has given us this great sickness. But if the cows don't go straight to Beth Shemesh, we will know that Israel's God has not punished us. We will know that our sickness just happened.'

10. వారు ఆలా గున రెండు పాడి ఆవులను తోలితెచ్చి బండికి కట్టి వాటి దూడలను ఇంటిలోపల పెట్టి

10. The Philistines did what the priests and magicians said. They found two cows that had just had calves and tied the cows to the wagon and put the calves in their pens at home.

11. యెహోవా మందసమును బంగారు గడ్డలును పందికొక్కు రూపములును గల ఆ చిన్న పెట్టెను బండిమీద ఎత్తగా

11. Then the Philistines put the Lord's Holy Box on the wagon along with the bag with the golden models of the tumors and mice.

12. ఆ ఆవులు రాజ మార్గమునబడి చక్కగా పోవుచు అరచుచు, బేత్షెమెషు మార్గమున నడిచెను. ఫిలిష్తీయుల సర్దారులు వాటి వెంబ డియే బేత్షెమెషు సరిహద్దు వరకు పోయిరి.

12. The cows went straight to Beth Shemesh. The cows stayed on the road, mooing all the way. They did not turn right or left. The Philistine rulers followed the cows as far as the city limits of Beth Shemesh.

13. బేత్షెమెషువారు లోయలో తమ గోధుమచేలను కోయుచుండిరి; వారు కన్నులెత్తి చూడగా మందసము వారికి కనబడెను, దానిని చూచి వారు సంతోషించిరి.

13. The people of Beth Shemesh were harvesting their wheat in the valley. They looked up and saw the Holy Box. They were very happy to see it again. They ran to get it.

14. ఆ బండి బేత్షెమెషు వాడైన యెహోషువయొక్క పొలములోనికి వచ్చి అక్కడనున్న ఒక పెద్ద రాతిదగ్గర నిలువగా, వారు బండి యొక్క కఱ్ఱలను చీల్చి ఆవులను యెహోవాకు దహన బలిగా అర్పించిరి.

14. The wagon came to the field that belonged to Joshua of Beth Shemesh and stopped there near a large rock. Some Levites took down the Lord's Holy Box and the bag that had the golden models. The Levites put the Lord's Box and the bag that was with it on the large rock. The people of Beth Shemesh cut up the wagon and killed the cows. That day, they sacrificed the cows as burnt offerings to the Lord.

15. లేవీయులు యెహోవా మందసమును బంగారపు వస్తువులుగల ఆ చిన్న పెట్టెను దించి ఆ పెద్ద రాతిమీద ఉంచగా, ఆ దినమున బేత్షెమెషువారు యెహోవాకు దహనబలులను అర్పించి బలులను వధించిరి.

16. ఫిలిష్తీయుల సర్దారులు అయిదుగురు అంతవరకు చూచి నాడే ఎక్రోనునకు తిరిగి వెళ్లిరి

16. The five Philistine rulers watched the people of Beth Shemesh do this and then went back to Ekron that same day.

17. అపరాధార్థమైన అర్పణగా ఫిలిష్తీయులు చెల్లించిన బంగారపు గడ్డలు ఏవనగా, అష్డోదువారి నిమిత్తము ఒకటి, గాజావారి నిమిత్తము ఒకటి, అష్కెలోను వారి నిమిత్తము ఒకటి, గాతువారి నిమిత్తము ఒకటి, ఎక్రోనువారి నిమిత్తము ఒకటి.

17. In this way the Philistines sent golden models of tumors as gifts for their sins to the Lord. They sent one golden model of a tumor for each of the Philistine towns of Ashdod, Gaza, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron.

18. ప్రాకారముగల పట్టణములవారేమి పొలములోని గ్రామములవారేమి ఫిలిష్తీయుల అయిదుగురు సర్దారుల పట్టణములన్నిటి లెక్క చొప్పున బంగారపు పంది కొక్కులను అర్పించిరి. వారు యెహోవా మందసమును దింపిన పెద్దరాయి దీనికి సాక్ష్యము. నేటివరకు ఆ రాయి బేత్షెమెషు వాడైన యెహోషువయొక్క పొలములో నున్నది.

18. The Philistines also sent golden models of mice. The number of these golden mice was the same number as the towns that belonged to the five Philistine rulers. These towns had walls around them, and each town had villages around it. The people of Beth Shemesh put the Lord's Holy Box on a rock. That rock is still in the field of Joshua from Beth Shemesh.

19. బేత్షెమెషువారు యెహోవా మందసమును తెరచి చూడగా దేవుడు వారిని హతముచేసి ఆ జనులలో ఏబది వేల డెబ్బదిమందిని మొత్తెను. యెహోవా గొప్ప దెబ్బతో అనేకులను మొత్తగా జనులు దుఃఖా క్రాంతులైరి.

19. But there were no priests there, and the men of Beth Shemesh looked at the Lord's Holy Box. So the Lord killed 70 men from Beth Shemesh. The people of Beth Shemesh cried because the Lord punished them so severely.

20. అప్పుడు బేత్షెమెషువారు పరిశుద్ధదేవుడైన యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఎవరు నిలువగలరు? మనయొద్దనుండి ఆయన ఎవరియొద్దకు పోవలెనని చెప్పి

20. They said, 'Where is a priest who can care for the Holy Box? Where should the Box go from here?'

21. కిర్యత్యారీము కాపురస్థులకు దూతలను పంపిఫిలిష్తీయులు యెహోవా మందసమును మరల తీసికొని వచ్చిరి; మీరు వచ్చి మీ దాపునకు దానిని తీసికొని పోవలెనని వర్తమానము పంపిరి.

21. There was a priest at Kiriath Jearim. The people of Beth Shemesh sent messengers to the people of Kiriath Jearim. The messengers said, 'The Philistines have brought back the Lord's Holy Box. Come down and take it to your city.'
