1. యెహూ యేలుబడిలో ఏడవ సంవత్సరమందుయోవాషు ఏలనారంభించి యెరూషలేములో నలువది సంవత్సరములు ఏలెను. అతని తల్లి బెయేర్షెబా సంబంధు రాలైన జిబ్యా.

1. In the seueth yeare of Iehu, was Ioas made kynge, and reigned fortye yeare at Ierusalem. His mothers name was Zibea of Bersaba.

2. యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా తనకు బుద్ధినేర్పువాడై యుండు దినములన్నిటిలో యోవాషు యెహోవా దృష్టికి అనుకూలముగానే ప్రవర్తించెను.

2. And Ioas dyd that which was righte in the sighte of the LORDE, as longe as Ioiada ye prest taught him.

3. అయితే ఉన్నత స్థలములు కొట్టివేయబడక నిలిచెను; జనులు ఇంకను ఉన్నత స్థలములందు బలులు అర్పించుచు ధూపము వేయుచు నుండిరి.

3. But they put not downe ye hye places: for the people offred & brent incense yet vpon the hye places.

4. యోవాషు యాజకులను పిలిపించియెహోవా మంది రములోనికి తేబడు ప్రతిష్ఠిత వస్తువుల విలువను అనగా జనసంఖ్య దాఖలాచేయబడిన జనులు తెచ్చిన ద్రవ్యమును వంతుచొప్పున ప్రతి మనిషికి నిర్ణయమైన ద్రవ్యమును, స్వేచ్ఛచేత నెవరైనను యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి తెచ్చిన ద్రవ్యమును,

4. And Ioas sayde vnto the prestes: All the money that is sanctified to be bestowed vpo ye house of the LORDE, namely the money yt euery man geueth vnto the treasury, and ye money that euery man geueth for his soule, and all the money that euery man geueth of a fre hert, to be bestowed on the house of the LORDE,

5. యాజకులలో ఒక్కొక్కడు తనకు నెలవైన వారియొద్ద తీసికొని, మందిరము ఎచ్చటెచ్చట శిథిలమై యున్నదో అచ్చటనెల్ల దానిని బాగుచేయింపవలెనని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

5. let the prestes take it vnto them, euery one his porcion: with that shall they repayre the decaye in the house of the LORDE, where they fynde that there is eny decaye.

6. అయితే యోవాషు ఏలుబడిలో ఇరువది మూడవ సంవత్సరమువరకును యాజకులు మందిరము యొక్క శిథిలమైన స్థలములను బాగుచేయకయే యుండిరి గనుక

6. But whan ye prestes repayred not the decaye in the house vnto the thre and twetieth yeare of kynge Ioas,

7. యోవాషు యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదాను మిగి లిన యాజకులను పిలిపించిమందిరములో శిథిలమైన స్థలములను మీరెందుకు బాగుచేయక పోతిరి? ఇకను మీ మీ నెలవైన వారియొద్ద ద్రవ్యము తీసికొనక, మందిరములో శిథిలమైన స్థలములను బాగుచేయుటకై మీరు అంతకుముందు తీసికొనినదాని నప్పగించుడని ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చి యుండెను.

7. Ioas the kynge called Ioiada the prest with the other prestes, and sayde vnto them: Wherfore do ye not repayre the decaye in the house? Therfore shall ye not take the money vnto you now euery one his porcion, but shall geue it to the decaye of the house.

8. కాబట్టి యాజకులుమందిరములో శిథిల మైన స్థలములను బాగుచేయుట మా వశము లేదు గనుక జనులయొద్ద ద్రవ్యము ఇక తీసికొనమని చెప్పిరి.

8. And the prestes agreed to take no money of the people, and to repayre the decaye of the house.

9. అంతట యాజకుడైన యెహోయాదా ఒక పెట్టెను తెచ్చి దాని మూతకు బెజ్జము చేసి, బలిపీఠము దగ్గరగా యెహోవా మందిరములో ప్రవేశించు వారి కుడిపార్శ్వమందు దాని నుంచగా ద్వారముకాయు యాజకులు యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి వచ్చిన ద్రవ్యమంతయు అందులో వేసిరి.

9. Then Ioiada the prest toke a chest, and bored an hole aboue therin, and set it on the righte hande besyde the altare, at the entrynge in to the house of the LORDE. And the prestes that kepte the thresholde, put all the money therin that was broughte vnto the house of the LORDE.

10. పెట్టెలో ద్రవ్యము విస్తారముగా ఉన్నదని వారు తెలియ జేయగా రాజుయొక్క ప్రధాన మంత్రియును ప్రధాన యాజకుడును వచ్చి, యెహోవా మందిరమందు దొరికిన ద్రవ్యము లెక్కచూచి సంచులలో ఉంచిరి.

10. Whan they sawe then that there was moch money in the chest, ye kynges scrybe came vp with the hye prest, and bounde the money together, and tolde it as moch as was founde in the house of the LORDE.

11. తరువాత వారు ఆ ద్రవ్యమును తూచి యెహోవా మందిరపు కాపరులకు, అనగా పనిచేయించు వారి కప్పగించిరి; వీరు యెహోవా మందిరమందు పనిచేసిన కంసాలులకును శిల్ప కారులకును కాసెపనివారికిని రాతిపనివారికిని

11. And so the ready money was geuen vnto them that wrought and were appoynted to the house of the LORDE, and they gaue it forth to the carpenters and to the that buylded and wroughte in the house of the LORDE,

12. యెహోవా మందిరమందు శిథిలమైన స్థలములను బాగుచేయుటకు మ్రానులనేమి చెక్క బడిన రాళ్లనేమి కొనుటకును, మందిరము బాగుచేయుటలో అయిన ఖర్చు అంతటికిని, ఆ ద్రవ్యము ఇచ్చుచు వచ్చిరి.

12. namely, to the dawbers and masons, and to them that boughte tymber and fre stone, to repayre the decaye in the house of the LORDE and all that they founde to haue nede of repayringe in the house.

13. యెహోవా మందిరమునకు వెండి పాత్రలైనను, కత్తెరలైనను, గిన్నెలైనను, బాకాలైనను, బంగారు పాత్రలైనను, వెండిపాత్రలైనను చేయబడలేదు గాని

13. Howbeit there were no syluer chargers, flat peces, basens, trompettes, ner eny other vessell of golde and syluer made on the house of the LORDE, of the money that was brought vnto the LORDES house:

14. మరమ్మతు పనిచేయువారికి మాత్రము ఆ ద్రవ్యము ఇచ్చి యెహోవా మందిరమును మరల బాగు చేయించిరి.

14. but it was geuen vnto the workmen to repayre the decaye in the house of the LORDE therwith.

15. మరియు పనివారికిచ్చుటకై ఆ ద్రవ్యము అప్పగింత పెట్టుకొనినవారు నమ్మకస్థులని వారిచేత లెక్క అడుగలేదు.

15. The men also that the money was delyuered vnto, for to geue the workmen, neded not to make eny acomptes, but did their busynes vpon credence.

16. అపరాధ పరిహారార్థ బలులవలనను పాప పరిహారార్థ బలులవలనను దొరికిన సొమ్ము యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి తేబడలేదు, అది యాజకులదాయెను.

16. But the money of trespace offerynges and synneofferynges was not broughte vnto the house of the LORDE: for it was the prestes.

17. అంతట సిరియారాజైన హజాయేలు గాతు పట్టణము మీదికి పోయి యుద్ధముచేసి దాని పట్టుకొనిన తరువాత అతడు యెరూషలేముమీదికి రాదలచియుండగా

17. At the same tyme wente Hasael the kyn of Syria vp, and foughte agaynst Gath, and wanne it. And whan Hasael set his face to go vp to Ierusalem,

18. యూదారాజైన యోవాషు తన పితరులైన యెహోషా పాతు యెహోరాము అహజ్యా అను యూదారాజులు ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులన్నిటిని, తాను ప్రతిష్ఠించిన వస్తువులను, యెహోవా మందిరములోను రాజనగరులోనున్న పదార్థములలోను కనబడిన బంగారమంతయు తీసికొనిసిరియారాజైన హజాయేలునకు పంపగా అతడు యెరూష లేమునొద్దనుండి తిరిగిపోయెను.

18. kynge Ioas toke all that was sanctifyed, which his fathers Iosaphat, Ioram and Ochosias the kynges of Iuda had halowed, and what he himselfe had sanctifyed, and all the golde that was founde in the treasures of the house of the LORDE, and in the kynges house, and sent it vnto Hasael the kynge of Syria. And so he departed from Ierusalem.

19. యోవాషు చేసిన యితర కార్యములనుగూర్చియు అతడు చేసిన దానినంతటిని గూర్చియు యూదారాజుల వృత్తాంతముల గ్రంథమందు వ్రాయబడి యున్నది.

19. What more there is to saye of Ioas, and all that he dyd, it is written in the Cronicles of the kynges of Iuda.

20. అతని సేవకులు లేచి కుట్రచేసి సిల్లా అను చోటకి పోవుమార్గమందున్న మిల్లో అను నగరునందు యోవాషును చంపిరి.

20. And his seruauntes made insurreccion and conspyred, and smote him in the house of Millo, at the goynge downe vnto Silla.

21. ఎట్లనగా షిమాతు కుమారుడైన యోజాకారు షోమేరు కుమారుడైన యెహోజాబాదు అను అతని సేవకులును అతనిమీద పడగా అతడు మరణమాయెను. జనులు దావీదు పురమందు అతని పితరుల సమాధిలో అతనిని పాతిపెట్టిరి; అతని కుమారుడైన అహజ్యా అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

21. For Iosebar the sonne of Simeath, and Iosabad the sonne of Somer his seruauntes smote him to death: and he was buried with his fathers in the cite of Dauid. And Amasias his sonne was kynge in his steade.
