1. మరియు యోషీయా యెరూషలేమునందు యెహో వాకు పస్కాపండుగ ఆచరించెను. మొదటి నెల పదునాల్గవ దినమున జనులు పస్కాపశువును వధించిరి.

1. And Josiah kept, in Jerusalem, a passover unto Yahweh, and they slaughtered the passover, on the fourteenth of the first month.

2. అతడు యాజకులను వారి వారి పనులకు నిర్ణయించి, యెహోవా మందిరసేవను జరిగించుటకై వారిని ధైర్యపరచి

2. And he set the priests over their charges, and encouraged them unto the service of the house of Yahweh;

3. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకందరికి బోధ చేయువారును యెహోవాకు ప్రతిష్ఠితులునైన లేవీయులకు ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెనుపరిశుద్ధమైన మందసమును మీరిక మీ భుజముల మీద మోయక, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల రాజైన దావీదు కుమారుడగు సొలొమోను కట్టించిన మందిరములో దాని నుంచుడి, మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకును ఆయన జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును సేవ జరిగించుడి.

3. and said to the Levites who gave instruction to all Israel as to the things which were hallowed unto Yahweh, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon son of David king of Israel did build, it is not yours as a burden on the shoulder, Now, serve ye Yahweh your God, and his people Israel;

4. ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల రాజైన దావీదు వ్రాసియిచ్చిన క్రమముచొప్పునను అతని కుమారుడైన సొలొమోను వ్రాసి ఇచ్చిన క్రమము చొప్పునను మీ మీ పితరుల యిండ్లకు ఏర్పాటైన వరుసలనుబట్టి మిమ్మును సిద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

4. and prepare yourselves by your ancestral houses, according to your courses, by the writing of David king of Israel, and by what hath been written by Solomon his son;

5. జనుల ఆ యా భాగములకు లేవీయులకు కుటుంబములలో ఆ యా భాగములు ఏర్పాటగునట్లుగా మీరు పరిశుద్ధ స్థలమందు నిలిచి, వారి వారి పితరుల కుటుంబముల వరుసలను బట్టి జనులైన మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సేవచేయుడి.

5. and stand ye in the holy place, by the divisions of the ancestral house, for your brethren, the sons of the people, and the partitioning of an ancestral house, for the Levites.

6. ఆప్రకారము పస్కా పశువును వధించి మిమ్మును ప్రతి ష్ఠించుకొని, మోషేద్వారా యెహోవా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞలను అనుసరించి, దానిని మీ సహోదరులకొరకు సిద్ధపరచుడి.

6. So slaughter ye the passover, and hallow yourselves, and prepare for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of Yahweh, by the hand of Moses.

7. మరియు యోషీయా తన స్వంత మందలో ముప్పది వేల గొఱ్ఱెపిల్లలను మేకపిల్లలను మూడువేల కోడెలను అక్కడ నున్న జనులకందరికి పస్కాపశువులుగా ఇచ్చెను.

7. And Josiah presented to the sons of the people of flocks, young sheep and the young of the goats, the whole for the passover offerings, for all present, to the number of thirty thousand, and, of bullocks, three thousand, these, out of the substance of the king.

8. అతని అధిపతులును జనులకును యాజకులకును లేవీయుల కును మనః పూర్వకముగా పశువులు ఇచ్చిరి. యెహోవా మంది రపు అధికారులైన హిల్కీయాయు, జెకర్యాయు, యెహీయేలును పస్కాపశువులుగా యాజకులకు రెండువేల ఆరువందల గొఱ్ఱెలను మూడువందల కోడెలను ఇచ్చిరి.

8. And, his rulers, willingly, to the people and to the priests and to the Levites, presented, Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, chief rulers of the house of God, unto the priests, did give, for passover offerings, two thousand and six hundred, and, of bullocks, three hundred;

9. కొనన్యాయు, అతని సహోదరులైన షెమయాయు, నెత నేలును, లేవీయులలో నధిపతులగు హషబ్యాయు, యెహీ యేలును యోజాబాదును పస్కాపశువులుగా లేవీయులకు అయిదువేల గొఱ్ఱెలను ఐదువందల కోడెలను ఇచ్చిరి.

9. and, Conaniah, and Shemaiah and Nethanel his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, rulers of the Levites, presented to the Levites, for passover offerings, five thousand, and, of bullocks, five hundred.

10. ఈ ప్రకారము సేవ జరుగుచుండగా రాజాజ్ఞనుబట్టి యాజకులు తమ స్థలములోను లేవీయులు తమ వరుసలలోను నిలువబడిరి.

10. Thus was the service prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the commandment of the king.

11. లేవీయులు పస్కాపశువులను వధించి రక్తమును యాజకుల కియ్యగా వారు దాని ప్రోక్షించిరి. లేవీయులు పశువులను ఒలువగా

11. So they slaughtered the passover, and the priests dashed the blood received at their hand, and the Levites were flaying the offerings .

12. మోషే గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడిన ప్రకారము జనుల కుటుంబముల విభాగము చొప్పున యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా ఇచ్చుటకు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును యాజకులు తీసికొనిరి.

12. Then they removed the ascending-sacrifice, that they might give them by the divisions of each ancestral house unto the sons of the people, to offer unto Yahweh, as it is written in the Book of Moses, and, in like manner, with the bullocks.

13. వారు ఎడ్లనుకూడ ఆ ప్రకారముగానే చేసిరి. వారు విధిప్రకారము పస్కాపశు మాంసమును నిప్పుమీద కాల్చిరిగాని యితరమైన ప్రతిష్ఠార్పణలను కుండలలోను బొరుసులలోను పెనములలోను ఉడికించి జనులకందరికి త్వరగా వడ్డించిరి.

13. And they cooked the passover with fire, according to the regulation, but, the hallowed things, cooked they in cauldrons and in pots and in bowls, and then took quickly, unto all the sons of the people.

14. తరువాత లేవీయులు తమకొరకును యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధముచేసిరి. అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులు దహనబలి పశుమాంసమును క్రొవ్వును రాత్రివరకు అర్పింపవలసివచ్చెను గనుక లేవీయులు తమ కొరకును అహరోను సంతతివారగు యాజకులకొరకును సిద్ధపరచిరి.

14. And, afterwards, prepared they for themselves and for the priests, because, the priests, the sons of Aaron, had been engaged in offering up the ascending-sacrifice and the fat pieces, until night, the Levites, therefore prepared for themselves, and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.

15. మరియు ఆసాపు సంతతివారగు గాయకు లును, ఆసాపు హేమానులును, రాజునకు దీర్ఘదర్శియగు యెదూతూనును దావీదు నియమించిన ప్రకారముగా తమ స్థలమందుండిరి; ద్వారములన్నిటియొద్దను ద్వార పాలకులు కనిపెట్టుచుండిరి. వారు తమ చేతిలో పని విడిచి అవతలికి వెళ్లిపోకుండునట్లు వారి సహోదరులగు లేవీయులు వారికొరకు సిద్ధపరచిరి.

15. the singers also, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the seer of the king, and, the doorkeepers, were at the several doors, there was no need for them to remove from their service, for, their brethren the Levites, prepared for them.

16. ఈ ప్రకారము రాజైన యోషీయా యిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞనుబట్టి వారు పస్కాపండుగ ఆచరించి, యెహోవా బలిపీఠముమీద దహన బలులను అర్పించుటచేత ఆ దినమున ఏమియు లోపము లేకుండ యెహోవా సేవ జరిగెను.

16. Thus was all the service of Yahweh prepared on that day; to keep the passover, and to offer up the ascending-sacrifice, upon the altar of Yahweh, according to the commandment of King Josiah.

17. అక్కడ నున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు, ఆ కాలమందు పస్కాను పులియని రొట్టెల పండుగను ఏడు దినములు ఆచరించిరి.

17. So the sons of Israel who were present kept the passover at that time, and the festival of unleavened cakes, seven days.

18. ప్రవక్త యగు సమూయేలు దినములు మొదలుకొని ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులలో పస్కాపండుగ అంత ఘనముగా ఆచరింపబడి యుండలేదు. యోషీయాయు, యాజకులును, లేవీయు లును, అక్కడ నున్న యూదా ఇశ్రాయేలువారందరును, యెరూషలేము కాపురస్థులును ఆచరించిన ప్రకారము ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజులందరిలో ఒక్కడైనను పస్కాపండు గను ఆచరించి యుండలేదు.

18. And there had not been kept, a passover like it, in Israel, since the days of Samuel the prophet, yea, none of the kings of Israel, had kept such a passover as was kept by Josiah and the priests and the Levites and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

19. యోషీయా యేలుబడి యందు పదునెనిమిదవ సంవత్సరమున ఈ పస్కాపండుగ జరిగెను.

19. In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah, was kept this passover.

20. ఇదంతయు అయిన తరువాత యోషీయా మందిర మును సిద్ధపరచినప్పుడు ఐగుప్తురాజైన నెకో యూఫ్రటీసు నదియొద్దనున్న కర్కెమీషుమీదికి దండెత్తి వెళ్లుచుండగా యోషీయా అతనిమీదికి బయలు దేరెను.

20. After all this when Josiah had prepared the house, Neco king of Egypt came up, to fight against Carchemish, by Euphrates, and Josiah went forth against him.

21. అయితే రాజైన నెకో అతనియొద్దకు రాయ బారులను పంపి - యూదారాజా నీతో నాకేమి? పూర్వమునుండి నాకు శత్రువులగువారిమీదికేగాని నేడు నీమీదికి నేను రాలేదు. దేవుడు త్వరచేయుమని నాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించెను గనుక దేవుడు నాతోకూడ ఉండి నిన్ను నశింపజేయ కుండునట్లు ఆయన జోలికి నీవు రావద్దని చెప్ప నాజ్ఞాపించెను.

21. But he sent unto him messengers, saying What have I to do with thee, O king of Judah? not against thee, have I come this day, but against the house wherewith I have war, and, God, hath given word to speed me, cease thou from provoking God who is with me, lest he destroy thee.

22. అయినను యోషీయా అతనితో యుద్ధము చేయగోరి, అతనియొద్దనుండి తిరిగి పోక మారువేషము ధరించుకొని, యెహోవా నోటి మాటలుగా పలుకబడిన నెకో మాటలను వినక మెగిద్దో లోయయందు యుద్ధము చేయ వచ్చెను.

22. Howbeit Josiah turned not his face from him, for, to fight against him, he had disguised himself, and he hearkened not unto the words of Neco, from the mouth of God, so he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

23. విలుకాండ్రురాజైన యోషీయామీద బాణములు వేయగా రాజు తన సేవకులను చూచి - నాకు గొప్ప గాయము తగిలెను, ఇక్కడనుండి నన్నుకొని పోవుడని చెప్పెను.

23. And the archers shot at King Josiah, and the king said unto his servants, Take me away, for I am sore wounded.

24. కావున అతని సేవకులు రథము మీదనుండి అతని దింపి, అతనికున్న వేరు రథముమీద అతని ఉంచి యెరూషలేమునకు అతని తీసికొని వచ్చిరి. అతడు మృతిబొంది తన పితరుల సమాధులలో ఒకదాని యందు పాతిపెట్టబడెను. యూదా యెరూషలేము వారందరును యోషీయా చనిపోయెనని ప్రలాపము చేసిరి.

24. So his servants took him away out of the war-chariot, and conveyed him in a second chariot which he had, and carried him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers, and, all Judah and Jerusalem, were mourning over Josiah.

25. యిర్మీయాయు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ప్రలాప వాక్యము చేసెను, గాయకులందరును గాయకురాండ్రంద రును తమ ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అతని గూర్చి పలికిరి; నేటివరకు యోషీయానుగూర్చి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులలో ఆలాగు చేయుట వాడుక ఆయెను. ప్రలాపవాక్యములలో అట్టివి వ్రాయబడియున్నవి.

25. And Jeremiah chanted a dirge over Josiah, and all the singing men and singing women in their dirges have spoken concerning Josiah, until this day, and they appointed them by statute for Israel, and, there they are, written among the dirges.

26. యోషీయా చేసిన యితర కార్యములన్నిటిని గూర్చియు, యెహోవా ధర్మ శాస్త్రవిధుల ననుసరించి అతడు చూపిన భయభక్తులను గూర్చియు

26. But, the rest of the story of Josiah, and his lovingkindness, according to that which is written in the law of Yahweh:

27. even his story, first and last, there it is, written in the book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
