1. యాజకులైన లేవీయులకు, అనగా లేవీగోత్రీయుల కందరికి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో పాలైనను స్వాస్థ్యమైనను ఉండదు, వారు యెహోవా హోమద్రవ్యములను తిందురు; అది వారి హక్కు.
1 కోరింథీయులకు 9:13

1. The priests the Levites, even all the tribe of Levi, shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They shall eat the offerings of LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

2. వారి సహోదరులతో వారికి స్వాస్థ్యము కలుగదు; యెహోవా వారితో చెప్పి నట్లు ఆయనే వారికి స్వాస్థ్యము. జనులవలన, అనగా ఎద్దుగాని గొఱ్ఱెగాని మేకగాని బలిగా అర్పించువారి వలన

2. And they shall have no inheritance among their brothers. LORD is their inheritance as he has spoken to them.

3. యాజకులు పొందవలసిన దేదనగా, కుడిజబ్బను రెండు దవడలను పొట్టను యాజకుని కియ్యవలెను.

3. And this shall be the priests' due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep: that they shall give to the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

4. నీ ధాన్యములోను నీ ద్రాక్షారసములోను నీ నూనెలోను ప్రథమ ఫలములను నీ గొఱ్ఱెల మొదటి బొచ్చును అతని కియ్యవలెను.

4. The first-fruits of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, thou shall give him.

5. నిత్యము యెహోవా నామమున నిలిచి సేవచేయుటకు నీ గోత్రములన్నిటిలోను అతనిని అతని సంతతివారిని నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఏర్పరచుకొని యున్నాడు.

5. For LORD thy God has chosen him out of all thy tribes to stand to minister in the name of LORD, him and his sons forever.

6. ఒక లేవీయుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేశమున తాను విదేశిగా నివసించిన నీ గ్రామములలో ఒకదానినుండి యెహోవా ఏర్పరచుకొను స్థలమునకు మిక్కిలి మక్కువతో వచ్చినప్పుడు

6. And if a Levite comes from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourns, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which LORD shall choose,

7. అక్కడ యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిలుచు లేవీయులైన తన గోత్రపువారు చేయునట్లు అతడు తన దేవుడైన యెహోవా నామమున సేవచేయవలెను.

7. then he shall minister in the name of LORD his God, as all his brothers the Levites do who stand there before LORD.

8. అమ్మబడిన తన పిత్రార్జితమువలన తనకు వచ్చినది గాక అతడు ఇతరులవలె వంతు అనుభవింపవలెను.

8. They shall have like portions to eat, besides that which comes of the sale of his patrimony.

9. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీకిచ్చుచున్న దేశమున నీవు ప్రవేశించిన తరువాత ఆ జనముల హేయకృత్యములను నీవు చేయ నేర్చుకొనకూడదు.

9. When thou have come into the land, which LORD thy God gives thee, thou shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations.

10. తన కుమారునైనను తన కుమార్తెనైనను అగ్నిగుండము దాటించు వానినైనను, శకు నముచెప్పు సోదెగానినైనను, మేఘ శకునములనుగాని సర్ప శకునములను గాని చెప్పు వానినైనను, చిల్లంగివానినైనను, మాంత్రికునినైనను, ఇంద్రజాలకునినైనను

10. There shall not be found with thee anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, a psychic, he who practices augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

11. కర్ణపిశాచి నడుగువానినైనను, దయ్యములయొద్ద విచారణచేయు వాని నైనను మీ మధ్య ఉండనియ్యకూడదు.

11. or a charmer, or a medium, or a spiritist, or a necromancer.

12. వీటిని చేయు ప్రతివాడును యెహోవాకు హేయుడు. ఆ హేయము లైన వాటినిబట్టి నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ యెదుటనుండి ఆ జనములను వెళ్లగొట్టుచున్నాడు.

12. For whoever does these things is an abomination to LORD. And because of these abominations LORD thy God drives them out from before thee.

13. నీవు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయొద్ద యథార్థపరుడవై యుండవలెను.
మత్తయి 5:48

13. Thou shall be perfect with LORD thy God.

14. నీవు స్వాధీనపరచుకొనబోవు జనములు మేఘశకునములను చెప్పువారి మాటను సోదెగాండ్ర మాటను విందురు. నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నిన్ను ఆలాగున చేయనియ్యడు.

14. For these nations, that thou shall dispossess, hearken to those who practice augury, and to psychics. But as for thee, LORD thy God has not allowed thee to do so.

15. హోరేబులో ఆ సమాజదినమున నీవునేను చావక యుండునట్లు మళ్లి నా దేవుడైన యెహోవా స్వరము నాకు విన బడకుండును గాక,

15. LORD thy God will raise up for thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brothers, like me. Ye shall hearken to him

16. ఈ గొప్ప అగ్ని నాకు ఇకను కనబడకుండునుగాక అని చెప్పితివి. ఆ సమయ మున నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను నీవు అడిగిన వాటన్నిటి చొప్పున నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా నీ మధ్యను నావంటి ప్రవక్తను నీ సహోదరులలో నీకొరకు పుట్టించును, ఆయన మాట నీవు వినవలెను.

16. according to all that thou desired of LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.

17. మరియు యెహోవా నాతో ఇట్లనెను. వారు చెప్పిన మాట మంచిది;

17. And LORD said to me, They have well said that which they have spoken.

18. వారి సహో దరులలోనుండి నీవంటి ప్రవక్తను వారికొరకు పుట్టించెదను; అతని నోట నా మాటల నుంచుదును; నేను అతని కాజ్ఞా పించునది యావత్తును అతడు వారితో చెప్పును.

18. I will raise up a prophet for them from among their brothers, like thee. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

19. And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not hearken to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

20. అంతేకాదు, ఏ ప్రవక్తయు అహంకారము పూని, నేను చెప్పుమని తన కాజ్ఞాపించని మాటను నా నామమున చెప్పునో, యితర దేవతల నామమున చెప్పునో ఆ ప్రవక్తయును చావవలెను.

20. But the prophet, who shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

21. మరియు ఏదొకమాట యెహోవా చెప్పినది కాదని మేమెట్లు తెలిసికొనగలమని మీరనుకొనిన యెడల,

21. And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which LORD has not spoken?

22. ప్రవక్త యెహోవా నామమున చెప్పినప్పుడు ఆ మాట జరుగక పోయిన యెడలను ఎన్నడును నెరవేరకపోయిన యెడ లను అది యెహోవా చెప్పిన మాట కాదు, ఆ ప్రవక్త అహంకారముచేతనే దాని చెప్పెను గనుక దానికి భయ పడవద్దు.

22. When a prophet speaks in the name of LORD, if the thing does not follow, nor come to pass, that is the thing which LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Thou shall not be afraid of him.
