1. చుట్టునున్న వారి శత్రువులలో ఎవరును వారి మీదికి రాకుండ యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నెమ్మది కలుగ జేసినమీదట అనేక దినములైన తరువాత యెహోషువ బహు సంవత్సరములుగల వృద్ధుడాయెను.

1. And after a longe season, whan the LORDE had broughte Israel to rest from all their enemies rounde aboute: and Iosua was now olde and well stricken in age,

2. అప్పు డతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని వారి పెద్దలను వారి ముఖ్యులను వారి న్యాయాధిపతులను వారి నాయకు లను పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెనునేను బహు సంవ త్సరములు గడచిన ముసలివాడను.

2. he called all Israel and their Elders, heades, iudges, and officers, and sayde vnto them: I am olde and well aged,

3. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ నిమిత్తము సమస్తజనములకు చేసిన దంతయు మీరు చూచితిరి. మీ నిమిత్తము యుద్ధము చేసినవాడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహో వాయే.

3. and ye haue sene all that the LORDE youre God hath done vnto all these nacions in youre sighte. For the LORDE youre God himself hath foughte for you.

4. చూడుడి, యొర్దాను మొదలుకొని తూర్పు దిక్కున మహాసముద్రము వరకు నేను నిర్మూలము చేసిన సమస్త జనముల దేశమును, మీ గోత్రముల స్వాస్థ్యముమధ్య మిగిలియున్న యీ జనముల దేశమును మీకు వంతుచీట్లవలన పంచిపెట్టితిని.

4. Beholde, I haue parted amonge you ye renaunt of the nacions by lot, vnto euery trybe his enheritaunce from Iordane forth, and all the nacions whom I haue roted out vnto the greate see westwarde.

5. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే వారిని మీ యెదుట నిలువ కుండ వెళ్లగొట్టిన తరువాత మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొందురు.

5. And the LORDE youre God shal thrust them out before you, and dryue them awaye from you, that ye maye haue their londe in possession, as the LORDE youre God hath promysed you.

6. కాబట్టి మీరు మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడినదంతటిని గైకొని అనుసరించు టకు మనస్సు దృఢము చేసికొని, యెడమకు గాని కుడికి గాని దానినుండి తొలగిపోక

6. Be stroge now therfore, that ye maye obserue and do all that is wrytten in the boke of the lawe of Moses: so that ye turne not asyde from it, nether to the righte hande ner to the lefte:

7. మీయొద్ద మిగిలియున్న యీజనుల సహవాసము చేయక వారి దేవతల పేళ్లను ఎత్తక వాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయక వాటిని పూజింపక వాటికి నమస్కరింపక

7. that ye come not amonge ye remnaunt of these nacios, which are with you: And se that ye make no mencion ner sweare by the names of their goddes, nether serue them, ner bowe youre selues vnto them:

8. మీరు నేటివరకు చేసినట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను హత్తుకొని యుండవలెను.

8. But cleue vnto the LORDE youre God, as ye haue done vnto this daye:

9. యెహోవా బలముగల గొప్ప జనములను మీ యెదుట నుండి కొట్టివేసియున్నాడు, మీ యెదుట నేటివరకును ఏ మనుష్యుడును నిలిచియుండలేదు.

9. the shal the LORDE dryue awaye greate and mightie nacions before you, like as there hath no man bene able to stonde before you vnto this daye.

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తానే మీకొరకు యుద్ధము చేయువాడు గనుక మీలో ఒకడు వేయిమందిని తరుమును

10. One of you shall chace a thousande: for the LORDE youre God fighteth for you, acordinge as he promysed you.

11. కాబట్టి మీరు బహు జాగ్రత్తపడి మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.

11. Take diligent hede therfore vnto youre soules, that ye loue the LORDE youre God.

12. అయితే మీరు వెనుకకు తొలగి మీయొద్ద మిగిలి యున్న యీ జనములను హత్తుకొని వారితో వియ్యమంది, వారితో మీరును మీతో వారును సాంగత్యము చేసిన యెడల

12. But yf ye turne backe, and cleue vnto these other nacions, and make mariages with them, so that ye come amoge them, and they amonge you,

13. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ యెదుటనుండి యీ జనములను కొట్టివేయుట మానును. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ మీరు నశించువరకు వారు మీకు ఉరిగాను బోనుగాను మీ ప్రక్కల మీద కొరడాలుగాను మీ కన్నులలో ముళ్లుగాను ఉందురు.

13. be ye sure then, that the LORDE youre God shall nomore dryue out all these nacions before you, but they shall be vnto you a snare and net, and prickes in youre sydes, and thornes in youre eyes, vntyll he haue destroyed you from the good lode, which the LORDE youre God hath geuen you.

14. ఇదిగో నేడు నేను సర్వ లోకుల మార్గమున వెళ్లుచున్నాను. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ విషయమై సెలవిచ్చిన మంచి మాటలన్నిటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదని మీరు అనుభవ పూర్వకముగా ఎరుగుదురు; అవి అన్నియు మీకు కలిగెను, వాటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదు.

14. Beholde, this daye do I go the waye of all the worlde, and ye shal knowe euen from all youre hert and from all youre soule, that there hath not fayled one worde of all the good that the LORDE youre God promysed you.

15. అయితే మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో చెప్పిన మేలంతయు మీకు కలిగిన ప్రకారము మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ ఆయన మిమ్ము నశింపజేయువరకు యెహోవా మీ మీదికి కీడంతయు రాజేయును.

15. Now like as all the good is come that the LORDE youre God promised you: euen so shal the LORDE cause all euell to come vpon you, tyll he haue destroied you from this good londe, which the LORDE youre God hath geuen you:

16. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు నియ మించిన ఆయన నిబంధనను మీరి యితర దేవతలను పూజించి వాటికి నమస్కరించినయెడల యెహోవా కోపము మీ మీద మండును గనుక ఆయన మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశ ములో నుండ కుండ మీరు శీఘ్రముగా నశించి పోవుదురు.

16. yf ye transgresse ye couenaunt of the LORDE youre God, which he hath commaunded you. And yf ye go yor waye and serue other goddes, and worshipe the, then shall the wrath of the LORDE waxe whote ouer you, & shall shortly destroye you out of the good londe, yt he hath geuen you.
