1. అటుతరువాత యేసు తిబెరియ సముద్రము, అనగా గలిలయ సముద్రము దాటి అద్దరికి వెళ్లెను.

1. AFTER THIS, Jesus went to the farther side of the Sea of Galilee--that is, the Sea of Tiberias.

2. రోగుల యెడల ఆయన చేసిన సూచక క్రియలను చూచి బహు జనులు ఆయనను వెంబడించిరి.

2. And a great crowd was following Him because they had seen the signs (miracles) which He [continually] performed upon those who were sick.

3. యేసు కొండయెక్కి అక్కడ తన శిష్యులతో కూడ కూర్చుండెను.

3. And Jesus walked up the mountainside and sat down there with His disciples.

4. అప్పుడు పస్కా అను యూదుల పండుగ సమీపించెను.

4. Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was approaching.

5. కాబట్టి యేసు కన్నులెత్తి బహు జనులు తనయొద్దకు వచ్చుట చూచివీరు భుజించుటకు ఎక్కడనుండి రొట్టెలు కొని తెప్పింతుమని ఫిలిప్పు నడిగెను గాని

5. Jesus looked up then, and seeing that a vast multitude was coming toward Him, He said to Philip, Where are we to buy bread, so that all these people may eat?

6. యేమి చేయనై యుండెనో తానే యెరిగి యుండి అతనిని పరీక్షించుటకు ఆలాగడిగెను.

6. But He said this to prove (test) him, for He well knew what He was about to do.

7. అందుకు ఫిలిప్పువారిలో ప్రతివాడును కొంచెము కొంచెము పుచ్చుకొనుటకైనను రెండువందల దేనారముల రొట్టెలు చాలవని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను.

7. Philip answered Him, Two hundred pennies' (forty dollars) worth of bread is not enough that everyone may receive even a little.

8. ఆయన శిష్యులలో ఒకడు, అనగా సీమోను పేతురు సహోదరుడైన అంద్రెయ

8. Another of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,

9. ఇక్కడ ఉన్న యొక చిన్న వానియొద్ద అయిదు యవల రొట్టెలు రెండు చిన్న చేపలు ఉన్నవి గాని, యింత మందికి ఇవి ఏమాత్రమని ఆయనతో అనగా

9. There is a little boy here, who has [with him] five barley loaves, and two small fish; but what are they among so many people?

10. యేసు జనులను కూర్చుండబెట్టుడని చెప్పెను. ఆ చోట చాల పచ్చికయుండెను గనుక లెక్కకు ఇంచుమించు అయిదువేలమంది పురుషులు కూర్చుండిరి.

10. Jesus said, Make all the people recline (sit down). Now the ground (a pasture) was covered with thick grass at the spot, so the men threw themselves down, about 5,000 in number.

11. యేసు ఆ రొట్టెలు పట్టుకొని కృతజ్ఞ తాస్తుతులు చెల్లించి కూర్చున్నవారికి వడ్డించెను. ఆలాగున చేపలుకూడ వారికిష్టమైనంత మట్టుకు వడ్డించెను;

11. Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples and the disciples to the reclining people; so also [He did] with the fish, as much as they wanted.

12. వారు తృప్తిగా తినిన తరువాత ఏమియు నష్టపడకుండ మిగిలిన ముక్కలు పోగుచేయుడని తన శిష్యులతో చెప్పెను.

12. When they had all had enough, He said to His disciples, Gather up now the fragments (the broken pieces that are left over), so that nothing may be lost and wasted.

13. కాబట్టి వారు భుజించిన తరువాత వారి యొద్ద మిగిలిన అయిదు యవల రొట్టెల ముక్కలు పోగుచేసి పండ్రెండు గంపలు నింపిరి.

13. So accordingly they gathered them up, and they filled twelve [small hand] baskets with fragments left over by those who had eaten from the five barley loaves.

14. ఆ మనుష్యులు యేసు చేసిన సూచక క్రియను చూచినిజముగా ఈ లోకమునకు రాబోవు ప్రవక్త ఈయనే అని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

14. When the people saw the sign (miracle) that Jesus had performed, they began saying, Surely and beyond a doubt this is the Prophet Who is to come into the world! [Deut. 18:15, 18; John 1:21; Acts 3:22.]

15. రాజుగా చేయుటకు వారు వచ్చి తన్ను బలవంతముగా పట్టుకొనబోవుచున్నారని యేసు ఎరిగి, మరల కొండకు ఒంటరిగా వెళ్లెను.

15. Then Jesus, knowing that they meant to come and seize Him that they might make Him king, withdrew again to the hillside by Himself alone.

16. సాయంకాలమైనప్పుడు ఆయన శిష్యులు సముద్రము నొద్దకు వెళ్లి దోనె యెక్కి సముద్రపు టద్దరినున్న కపెర్నహూమునకు పోవుచుండిరి.

16. When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,

17. అంతలో చీక టాయెను గాని యేసు వారియొద్దకు ఇంకను రాలేదు.

17. And they took a boat and were going across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and still Jesus had not [yet] come back to them.

18. అప్పుడు పెద్ద గాలి విసరగా సముద్రము పొంగుచుండెను.

18. Meanwhile, the sea was getting rough and rising high because of a great and violent wind that was blowing.

19. వారు ఇంచుమించు రెండు కోసుల దూరము దోనెను నడిపించిన తరువాత, యేసు సముద్రముమీద నడుచుచు తమ దోనెదగ్గరకు వచ్చుట చూచి భయపడిరి;

19. [However] when they had rowed three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat. And they were afraid (terrified).

20. అయితే ఆయన నేనే, భయపడకుడని వారితో చెప్పెను.

20. But Jesus said to them, It is I; be not afraid! [I AM; stop being frightened!] [Exod. 3:14.]

21. కనుక ఆయనను దోనెమీద ఎక్కించుకొనుటకు వారిష్టపడిరి. వెంటనే ఆ దోనె వారు వెళ్లుచున్న ప్రదేశమునకు చేరెను.

21. Then they were quite willing and glad for Him to come into the boat. And now the boat went at once to the land they had steered toward. [And immediately they reached the shore toward which they had been slowly making their way.]

22. మరునాడు సముద్రపుటద్దరిని నిలిచియున్న జన సమూహము వచ్చి చూడగా, ఒక చిన్న దోనె తప్ప అక్కడ మరియొకటి లేదనియు, యేసు తన శిష్యులతో కూడ దోనె ఎక్కలేదు గాని ఆయన శిష్యులు మాత్రమే వెళ్లిరనియు తెలిసికొనిరి.

22. The next day the crowd [that still remained] standing on the other side of the sea realized that there had been only one small boat there, and that Jesus had not gone into it with His disciples, but that His disciples had gone away by themselves.

23. అయితే ప్రభువు కృతజ్ఞతా స్తుతులు చెల్లించినప్పుడు వారు రొట్టె భుజించిన చోటు నకు దగ్గరనున్న తిబెరియనుండి వేరే చిన్న దోనెలు వచ్చెను.

23. But now some other boats from Tiberias had come in near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks.

24. కాబట్టి యేసును ఆయన శిష్యులును అక్కడ లేకపోవుట జనసమూహము చూచి నప్పుడు వారా చిన్న దోనెలెక్కి యేసును వెదకుచు కపెర్నహూమునకు వచ్చిరి.

24. So the people, finding that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, themselves got into the small boats and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus.

25. సముద్రపుటద్దరిని ఆయనను కనుగొని బోధకుడా, నీవెప్పుడు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చితివని అడుగగా

25. And when they found Him on the other side of the lake, they said to Him, Rabbi! When did You come here?

26. యేసు మీరు సూచనలను చూచుటవలన కాదు గాని రొట్టెలు భుజించి తృప్తి పొందుటవలననే నన్ను వెదకుచున్నారని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాను.

26. Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you have been searching for Me, not because you saw the miracles and signs but because you were fed with the loaves and were filled and satisfied.

27. క్షయమైన ఆహారముకొరకు కష్టపడకుడి గాని నిత్యజీవము కలుగ జేయు అక్షయమైన ఆహారముకొరకే కష్టపడుడి; మనుష్య కుమారుడు దానిని మీకిచ్చును, ఇందుకై తండ్రియైన దేవుడు ఆయనకు ముద్రవేసియున్నాడని చెప్పెను.

27. Stop toiling and doing and producing for the food that perishes and decomposes [in the using], but strive and work and produce rather for the [lasting] food which endures [continually] unto life eternal; the Son of Man will give (furnish) you that, for God the Father has authorized and certified Him and put His seal of endorsement upon Him.

28. వారు మేము దేవుని క్రియలు జరిగించుటకు ఏమి చేయ వలెనని ఆయనను అడుగగా

28. They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? [What are we to do to carry out what God requires?]

29. యేసు ఆయన పంపిన వానియందు మీరు విశ్వాసముంచుటయే దేవుని క్రియయని వారితో చెప్పెను.

29. Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].

30. వారు అట్లయితే మేము చూచి నిన్ను విశ్వసించుటకు నీవు ఏ సూచక క్రియ చేయుచున్నావు? ఏమి జరిగించుచున్నావు?

30. Therefore they said to Him, What sign (miracle, wonderwork) will You perform then, so that we may see it and believe and rely on and adhere to You? What [supernatural] work have You [to show what You can do]?

31. భుజించు టకు పరలోకమునుండి ఆయన ఆహారము వారికి అను గ్రహించెను అని వ్రాయబడినట్టు మన పితరులు అరణ్యములో మన్నాను భుజించిరని ఆయనతో చెప్పిరి.

31. Our forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as the Scripture says, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. [Exod. 16:15; Neh. 9:15; Ps. 78:24.]

32. కాబట్టి యేసు పరలోకమునుండి వచ్చు ఆహారము మోషే మీకియ్యలేదు, నా తండ్రియే పరలోకమునుండి వచ్చు నిజమైన ఆహారము మీకను గ్రహించుచున్నాడు.

32. Jesus then said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Moses did not give you the Bread from heaven [what Moses gave you was not the Bread from heaven], but it is My Father Who gives you the true heavenly Bread.

33. పరలోకమునుండి దిగి వచ్చి, లోకమునకు జీవము నిచ్చునది దేవుడనుగ్రహించు ఆహారమై యున్నదని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నానని వారితో చెప్పెను.

33. For the Bread of God is He Who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

34. కావున వారు ప్రభువా, యీ ఆహారము ఎల్లప్పుడును మాకు అనుగ్రహించు మనిరి.

34. Then they said to Him, Lord, give us this bread always (all the time)!

35. అందుకు యేసు వారితో ఇట్లనెను జీవాహారము నేనే; నాయొద్దకు వచ్చువాడు ఏమాత్రమును ఆకలిగొనడు,

35. Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).

36. నాయందు విశ్వాసముంచు వాడు ఎప్పుడును దప్పిగొనడు.

36. But [as] I told you, although you have seen Me, still you do not believe and trust and have faith.

37. మీరు నన్ను చూచి యుండియు విశ్వసింపక యున్నారని మీతో చెప్పితిని.

37. All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].

38. తండ్రి నాకు అనుగ్రహించు వారందరును నాయొద్దకు వత్తురు; నాయొద్దకు వచ్చువానిని నేనెంత మాత్రమును బయటికి త్రోసివేయను.

38. For I have come down from heaven not to do My own will and purpose but to do the will and purpose of Him Who sent Me.

39. నా యిష్టమును నెరవేర్చు కొనుటకు నేను రాలేదు; నన్ను పంపిన వాని చిత్తము నెరవేర్చుటకే పరలోకమునుండి దిగి వచ్చితిని.

39. And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.

40. ఆయన నాకు అనుగ్రహించిన దాని యంతటిలో నేనే మియు పోగొట్టుకొనక, అంత్యదినమున దాని లేపుటయే నన్ను పంపినవాని చిత్తమైయున్నది.

40. For this is My Father's will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.

41. కుమారుని చూచి ఆయనయందు విశ్వాసముంచు ప్రతివాడును నిత్యజీవము పొందుటయే నా తండ్రి చిత్తము; అంత్యదినమున నేను వానిని లేపుదును.

41. Now the Jews murmured and found fault with and grumbled about Jesus because He said, I am [Myself] the Bread that came down from heaven.

42. కాబట్టి నేను పరలోకమునుండి దిగి వచ్చిన ఆహారమని ఆయన చెప్పినందున యూదులు ఆయననుగూర్చి సణుగుకొనుచు ఈయన యోసేపు కుమారుడైన యేసు కాడా?

42. They kept asking, Is not this Jesus, the Son of Joseph, Whose father and mother we know? How then can He say, I have come down from heaven?

43. ఈయన తలిదండ్రులను మన మెరుగుదుము గదా? నేను పరలోకమునుండి దిగి వచ్చి యున్నానని ఈయన ఏలాగు చెప్పుచున్నాడనిరి.

43. So Jesus answered them, Stop grumbling and saying things against Me to one another.

44. అందుకు యేసుమీలో మీరు సణుగుకొనకుడి;

44. No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day.

45. నన్ను పంపిన తండ్రి వానిని ఆకర్షించితేనే గాని యెవడును నా యొద్దకు రాలేడు; అంత్యదినమున నేను వానిని లేపుదును.
యెషయా 54:13

45. It is written in [the book of] the Prophets, And they shall all be taught of God [have Him in person for their Teacher]. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me--[Isa. 54:13.]

46. వారందరును దేవునిచేత బోధింపబడుదురు అని ప్రవక్తల లేఖనములలో వ్రాయబడియున్నది గనుక తండ్రివలన విని నేర్చుకొనిన ప్రతివాడును నాయొద్దకు వచ్చును.

46. Which does not imply that anyone has seen the Father [not that anyone has ever seen Him] except He [Who was with the Father] Who comes from God; He [alone] has seen the Father.

47. దేవుని యొద్దనుండి వచ్చినవాడు తప్ప మరి యెవడును తండ్రిని చూచియుండలేదు; ఈయనే తండ్రిని చూచి యున్న వాడు.

47. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me] has (now possesses) eternal life.

48. విశ్వసించువాడే నిత్యజీవము గలవాడు. జీవాహారము నేనే.

48. I am the Bread of Life [that gives life--the Living Bread].

49. మీ పితరులు అరణ్యములో మన్నాను తినినను చనిపోయిరి.

49. Your forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and [yet] they died.

50. దీనిని తినువాడు చావ కుండునట్లు పరలోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చిన ఆహార మిదే.

50. [But] this is the Bread that comes down from heaven, so that [any]one may eat of it and never die.

51. పరలోకమునుండి దిగి వచ్చిన జీవాహారమును నేనే. ఎవడైనను ఈ ఆహారము భుజించితే వాడెల్లప్పుడును జీవించును; మరియు నేనిచ్చు ఆహారము లోకమునకు జీవముకొరకైన నా శరీరమే అని మీతో నిశ్చయముగా చెప్పుచున్నాననెను.

51. I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body).

52. యూదులుఈయన తన శరీరమును ఏలాగు తిన నియ్యగలడని యొకనితో ఒకడు వాదించిరి.

52. Then the Jews angrily contended with one another, saying, How is He able to give us His flesh to eat?

53. కావున యేసు ఇట్లనెనుమీరు మనుష్యకుమారుని శరీరము తిని ఆయన రక్తము త్రాగితేనే కాని, మీలో మీరు జీవము గలవారు కారు.

53. And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].

54. నా శరీరము తిని నా రక్తము త్రాగువాడే నిత్యజీవము గలవాడు; అంత్యదినమున నేను వానిని లేపుదును.

54. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.

55. నా శరీరము నిజమైన ఆహారమును నా రక్తము నిజమైన పానమునై యున్నది.

55. For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink.

56. నా శరీరము తిని నా రక్తము త్రాగువాడు నాయందును నేను వానియందును నిలిచియుందుము.

56. He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.

57. జీవముగల తండ్రి నన్ను పంపెను గనుక నేను తండ్రి మూలముగా జీవించుచున్నట్టే నన్ను తినువాడును నా మూలముగా జీవించును.

57. Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.

58. ఇదే పర లోకమునుండి దిగివచ్చిన ఆహారము; పితరులు మన్నాను తినియు చనిపోయినట్టు గాదు; ఈ ఆహారము తినువాడు ఎల్లప్పుడును జీవించునని నిశ్చయముగా మీతో చెప్పు చున్నాననెను

58. This is the Bread that came down from heaven. It is not like the manna which our forefathers ate, and yet died; he who takes this Bread for his food shall live forever.

59. ఆయన కపెర్నహూములో బోధించుచు సమాజమందిరములో ఈ మాటలు చెప్పెను.

59. He said these things in a synagogue while He was teaching at Capernaum.

60. ఆయన శిష్యులలో అనేకులు ఈ మాట విని యిది కఠినమైన మాట, యిది ఎవడు వినగలడని చెప్పుకొనిరి.

60. When His disciples heard this, many of them said, This is a hard and difficult and strange saying (an offensive and unbearable message). Who can stand to hear it? [Who can be expected to listen to such teaching?]

61. యేసు తన శిష్యులు దీనినిగూర్చి సణుగుకొనుచున్నారని తనకుతానే యెరిగి వారితో ఇట్లనెను దీనివలన మీరు అభ్యంతరపడుచున్నారా?

61. But Jesus, knowing within Himself that His disciples were complaining and protesting and grumbling about it, said to them: Is this a stumbling block and an offense to you? [Does this upset and displease and shock and scandalize you?]

62. ఆలాగైతే మనుష్యకుమారుడు మునుపున్న చోటునకు ఎక్కుట మీరు చూచినయెడల ఏమందురు?
కీర్తనల గ్రంథము 47:5

62. What then [will be your reaction] if you should see the Son of Man ascending to [the place] where He was before?

63. ఆత్మయే జీవింపచేయుచున్నది; శరీరము కేవలము నిష్‌ప్రయోజనము. నేను మీతో చెప్పియున్న మాటలు ఆత్మయు జీవమునైయున్నవి గాని

63. It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

64. మీలో విశ్వ సించనివారు కొందరున్నారని వారితో చెప్పెను. విశ్వ సించనివారెవరో, తన్ను అప్పగింపబోవువాడెవడో, మొదటినుండి యేసునకు తెలియును.

64. But [still] some of you fail to believe and trust and have faith. For Jesus knew from the first who did not believe and had no faith and who would betray Him and be false to Him.

65. మరియు ఆయన తండ్రిచేత వానికి కృప అనుగ్రహింపబడకుంటే ఎవడును నాయొద్దకు రాలేడని యీ హేతువునుబట్టి మీతో చెప్పితిననెను.

65. And He said, This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless it is granted him [unless he is enabled to do so] by the Father.

66. అప్పటినుండి ఆయన శిష్యులలో అనేకులు వెనుకతీసి, మరి ఎన్నడును ఆయనను వెంబడింపలేదు.

66. After this, many of His disciples drew back (returned to their old associations) and no longer accompanied Him.

67. కాబట్టి యేసుమీరు కూడ వెళ్లిపోవలెనని యున్నారా? అని పండ్రెండుమందిని అడుగగా

67. Jesus said to the Twelve, Will you also go away? [And do you too desire to leave Me?]

68. సీమోను పేతురు ప్రభువా, యెవనియొద్దకు వెళ్లుదుము? నీవే నిత్యజీవపు మాటలు గలవాడవు;

68. Simon Peter answered, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words (the message) of eternal life.

69. నీవే దేవుని పరిశుద్ధుడవని మేము విశ్వసించి యెరిగియున్నామని ఆయనతో చెప్పెను.

69. And we have learned to believe and trust, and [more] we have come to know [surely] that You are the Holy One of God, the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of the living God.

70. అందుకు యేసు నేను మిమ్మును పండ్రెండుగురిని ఏర్పరచు కొనలేదా? మీలో ఒకడు సాతాను అనివారితో చెప్పెను.

70. Jesus answered them, Did I not choose you, the Twelve? And [yet] one of you is a devil (of the evil one and a false accuser).

71. సీమోను ఇస్కరియోతు కుమారుడైన యూదా పండ్రెండు మందిలో ఒకడైయుండి ఆయన నప్పగింపబోవు చుండెను గనుక వానిగూర్చియే ఆయన ఈ మాట చెప్పెను.

71. He was speaking of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for he was about to betray Him, [although] he was one of the Twelve.
