1. హిజ్కియా విని తన బట్టలు చింపుకొని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మందిరమునకు పోయి

1. So it came to passe, that when king Hezekia hearde it, he rent his clothes, & put on sacke, & came into the house of the Lorde,

2. గృహ నిర్వాహకుడగు ఎల్యాకీమును, శాస్త్రి షెబ్నాను, యాజ కులలో పెద్దలను, ఆమోజు కుమారుడును ప్రవక్తయునైన యెషయాయొద్దకు పంపెను.

2. And sent Eliakim which was the steward of the houshold, and Sobna the scribe, and the elders of the priestes clothed in sacke, to Isai the prophete, the sonne of Amoz.

3. వీరు గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకొని అతనియొద్దకు వచ్చి అతనితో ఇట్లనిరిహిజ్కియా సెల విచ్చునదేమనగాఈ దినము శ్రమయు శిక్షయు దూష ణయు గల దినము;పిల్లలు పుట్టవచ్చిరి గాని కనుటకు శక్తి చాలదు.

3. And they sayd vnto him, thus sayth Hezekia: This day is a day of tribulation, & of rebuke and blasphemie: For the children are come to the byrth, and there is no strength to be deliuered.

4. జీవముగల దేవుని దూషించుటకై అష్షూరు రాజైన తన యజమానునిచేత పంపబడిన రబ్షాకే పలికిన మాటలన్నియు నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఒకవేళ ఆలకించి, నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వినబడియున్న ఆ మాటలనుబట్టి ఆయన అష్షూరురాజును గద్దించునేమో కాబట్టి నిలిచిన శేషముకొరకు నీవు హెచ్చుగా ప్రార్థన చేయుము.

4. Peraduenture the Lorde thy God will heare al the wordes of Rabsakeh, who the king of Assyria his maister hath sent to rayle on the lyuing God, & to rebuke him with wordes which the Lorde thy God hath hearde: And lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnaunt that are left.

5. రాజైన హిజ్కియా సేవకులు యెషయాయొద్దకు రాగా

5. So the seruauntes of king Hezekia came to Isai.

6. యెషయా వారితో ఇట్లనెనుమీ యజమానునికి ఈ మాట తెలియజేయుడియెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజు పనివారు నన్ను దూషింపగా నీవు వినిన మాటలకు భయపడవద్దు.

6. And Isai sayde vnto them, So shall ye say to your maister: Thus sayth the Lorde, Be not afrayde of the wordes which thou hast heard, with which the young men of the king of Assyria haue rayled on me.

7. అతనిలో ఒక యాత్మను నేను పుట్టింతును, అతడు వదంతి విని తన దేశమునకు వెళ్ళి పోవును; తన దేశమందు కత్తిచేత అతని కూలచేయుదును.

7. Beholde, I will put hym in another mynde, and he shall heare tydinges, and so returne to his owne land, and I will bring to passe, that he shall fall vpon the sworde euen in his owne land.

8. అష్షూరురాజు లాకీషు పట్టణమును విడిచి వెళ్లి లిబ్నా మీద యుద్ధము చేయుచుండగా రబ్షాకే పోయి అతని కలిసికొనెను.

8. And Rabsakeh went backe againe, and founde the king of Assyria fighting against Libna: for he had hearde howe that he was departed from Lachis.

9. అంతట కూషురాజైన తిర్హాకా తనమీదయుద్ధము చేయుటకు వచ్చెనని అష్షూరు రాజునకు వినబడి నప్పుడు, అతడు ఇంకొకసారి హిజ్కియాయొద్దకు దూత లను పంపి యీలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.

9. And when he hearde men say of Thirhaka king of the blacke Mores, Behold he is come out to fight against thee: he departed, and sent messengers vnto Hezekia, saying.

10. యూదారాజగు హిజ్కియాతో ఈలాగు చెప్పుడియెరూషలేము అష్షూరురాజుచేతికి అప్పగింపబడదని చెప్పి నీవు నమ్ముకొని యున్న నీ దేవునిచేత మోసపోకుము.

10. Thus speake to Hezekia king of Iuda, saying: Let not thy God deceaue thee in whom thou trustest, saying: Hierusalem shall not be deliuered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

11. ఇదిగో అష్షూరు రాజులు సకల దేశములను బొత్తిగా నశింపజేసిన సంగతి నీకు వినబడినది గదా నీవుమాత్రము తప్పించుకొందువా?

11. Beholde, thou hast hearde what the kinges of Assyria haue done to all landes, how they haue vtterly destroyed them: And shalt thou escape?

12. నా పితరులు నిర్మూలముచేసిన గోజానువారు గాని హారాను వారు గాని, రెజెపులు గాని, తెలశ్శారులో నుండిన ఏదె నీయులు గాని తమ దేవతల సహాయమువలన తప్పించు కొనిరా?

12. Haue the gods of the heathen deliuered them, whiche myne auncestours haue destroyed? As Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelassar?

13. హమాతు రాజు ఏమాయెను? అర్పాదురాజును సెపర్వియీము హేన ఇవ్వా అను పట్టణముల రాజులును ఏమైరి?

13. Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, the king of the citie of Sepharuaun, and of Hena and Iua?

14. హిజ్కియా దూతలచేతిలోనుండి ఆ ఉత్తరము తీసికొని చదివి, యెహోవా మందిరములోనికి పోయి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని దాని విప్పి పరచి

14. And Hezekia receaued the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: And Hezekia went vp into the house of the Lorde, and layde it abrode before the Lorde.

15. యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఇట్లని ప్రార్థనచేసెనుయెహోవా, కెరూబుల మధ్యను నివసించుచున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవా, భూమ్యా కాశములను కలుగజేసిన అద్వితీయ దేవా, నీవు లోక మందున్న సకల రాజ్యములకు దేవుడవైయున్నావు.

15. And Hezekia prayed before the Lord, and sayd: O Lord God of Israel which dwellest betweene ye Cherubs, thou art God alone ouer al the kingdomes of the earth, thou hast made heauen & earth.

16. యెహోవా, చెవియొగ్గి ఆలకింపుము; యెహోవా, కన్నులు తెరచి దృష్టించుము; జీవముగల దేవుడవైన నిన్ను దూషించుటకై సన్హెరీబు పంపినవాని మాటలను చెవిని బెట్టుము.

16. Lorde bowe downe thyne eare, and heare: Open Lorde thyne eyes, [I besech thee,] and see: and heare the wordes of Sennacherib whiche hath sent [this man] to rayle on the lyuing God.

17. యెహోవా, అష్షూరురాజులు ఆ జనములను వారి దేశములను పాడుచేసి

17. Of a trueth Lorde, the kinges of Assyria haue destroyed nations and their landes,

18. వారి దేవతలను అగ్నిలో వేసినది నిజమే. ఆ రాజ్యముల దేవతలు నిజమైన దేవుండ్లు కాక మనుష్యులచేత చేయబడిన కఱ్ఱలు రాళ్లే గనుక వారు వారిని నిర్మూలము చేసిరి.

18. And haue set fire on their gods: For they were no gods, but the worke of the handes of man, euen of wood and stone: and they destroyed them.

19. యెహోవా మా దేవా; లోక మందున్న సమస్త జనులు నీవే నిజముగా అద్వితీయ దేవుడ వైన యెహోవావని తెలిసికొనునట్లుగా అతనిచేతిలోనుండి మమ్మును రక్షించుము.

19. Nowe therfore O Lord our God I besech thee, saue thou vs out of his hande, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe that thou onely art the Lorde God.

20. అంతట ఆమోజు కుమారుడైన యెషయా హిజ్కియా యొద్దకు ఈ వర్తమానము పంపెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవు డగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చు నదేమనగా అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు విషయమందు నీవు నా యెదుట చేసిన ప్రార్థననేను అంగీకరించియున్నాను.

20. And Isai the sonne of Amoz sent to Hezekia, saying, Thus sayth the Lorde God of Israel: That whiche thou hast prayed me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria, I haue hearde it.

21. అతనిగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చుమాట యేదనగాసీయోను కుమారియైన కన్యక నిన్ను దూషణచేయుచున్నది; నిన్ను అపహాస్యము చేయు చున్నది; యెరూషలేము కుమారి నిన్ను చూచి తల ఊచు చున్నది.

21. This is therefore the worde that the Lorde hath sayd of him: The virgin, euen the daughter of Sion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorne [O thou king of Assyria,] the daughter of Hierusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

22. నీవు ఎవనిని తిరస్కరించితివి? ఎవనిని దూషించితివి? నీవు గర్వించి యెవనిని భయపెట్టితివి?

22. Whom hast thou rayled on? and whom hast thou blasphemed? Against whom hast thou exalted thy voyce, and lyfted vp thyne eyes so hye? Euen against the holy of Israel.

23. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల పరిశుద్ధ దేవునినేగదా నీ దూతలచేత యెహోవాను తిరస్కరించి పలికించిన మాటలు ఇవేగదా. నా రథముల సముదాయముతో నేను పర్వత శిఖరములకునులెబానోను పార్శ్వములకును ఎక్కియున్నానుఎత్తుగల దాని దేవదారు వృక్షములను శ్రేష్ఠమైన సరళవృక్షములను నరికివేసి యున్నానువాని దూరపు సరిహద్దులలో సత్రములలోనికినికర్మెలు ఫలవంతములగు క్షేత్రమైన అడవిలోనికిని ప్రవేశించి యున్నాను.

23. By the hande of thy messengers thou hast rayled on the Lord, and sayd: With the multitude of my charets I am come vp to the toppes of the mountaynes, euen along by the sides of Libanon, and I will cut downe the hye Cedar trees and the lusty fyrre trees therof: and I will go into the lodging of his borders, and into the wood of his Carmel.

24. నేను త్రవ్వి పరుల నీళ్లు పానము చేసియున్నాను నా అరకాలిచేత నేను దిట్టమైన స్థలముల నదుల నన్నిటిని ఎండిపో జేసియున్నాను.

24. I haue digged and druncke straunge waters: & with the steppe of my goyng wil I drye al the water pooles that are besieged.

25. నేనే పూర్వమందే దీని కలుగజేసితిననియు పురాతనకాలమందే దీని నిర్ణయించితిననియు నీకు వినబడలేదా? ప్రాకారములుగల పట్టణములను నీవు పాడు దిబ్బలుగా చేయుట నావలననే సంభవించినది.

25. Hast thou not heard howe I haue ordeyned such a thing a great whyle a go, and haue prepared it from the beginning? And shall I not nowe bring it foorth that it may destroy and bring strong cities into wast heapes of stones?

26. కాబట్టి వాటి కాపురస్థులు బలహీనులై జడిసిరి విభ్రాంతినొంది పొలములోని గడ్డివలెను కాడవేయని చేలవలెను అయిరి.

26. And the inhabiters of them shalbe of litle power, and faynt hearted, and confounded, and shalbe lyke the grasse of the field, or greene hearbe, or as the hay on the toppes of the houses, or as the corne that is vnripe & smitten with blasting.

27. నీవు కూర్చుండుటయు బయలువెళ్లుటయు లోపలికి వచ్చుటయు నామీదవేయు రంకెలును నాకు తెలిసేయున్నవి.

27. I knowe thy dwelling, thy comming out and thy goyng in, and thy fury against me.

28. నామీద నీవు వేయు రంకెలును నీవు చేసిన కలహమును నా చెవులలో జొచ్చెను గనుక నా గాలమును నీ ముక్కునకు తగిలించెదను. నా కళ్లెము నీ నోటిలో పెట్టి నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను. నీవు వచ్చిన మార్గముననే నిన్ను మళ్లించెదను.

28. And because thou ragest against me, & thy tumult is come vp to myne eares, I will put my hoke in thy nostrels, and my byt in thy lippes, and wil bring thee backe againe the same way thou camest.

29. మరియు యెషయా చెప్పినదేమనగాహిజ్కియా, నీ కిదే సూచనయగును. ఈ సంవత్సరమందు దానంతట అదే పండు ధాన్యమును, రెండవ సంవత్సరమందు దాని నుండి కలుగు ధాన్యమును మీరు భుజింతురు, మూడవ సంవత్సరమున మీరు విత్తనము విత్తి చేలు కోయుదురు; ద్రాక్షతోటలు నాటి వాటిఫలము అనుభవించుదురు.

29. And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekia: Ye shall eate this yere of such thinges as grow of them selues, and the next yere such as come vp of those that dyd growe of their owne accorde, and the thirde yere sowe ye and reape, plant vineyardes, and eate the fruites therof.

30. యూదా వంశములో తప్పించుకొనిన శేషము ఇంకను క్రిందికి వేరు తన్ని మీదికి ఎదిగి ఫలించును.

30. And it that is escaped and left of the daughter of Iuda, shall yet againe take roting downewarde, and beare fruite vpwarde.

31. శేషించు వారు యెరూషలేములోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు;తప్పించు కొనినవారు సీయోను కొండలోనుండి బయలుదేరుదురు; సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తి దీని నెర వేర్చును.

31. For out of Hierusalem shall go a remnaunt and a number that shall escape out of mout Sion: The zeale of the lord of hoastes shal bring this thing to passe.

32. కాబట్టి అష్షూరు రాజునుగూర్చి యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా అతడు ఈ పట్టణములోనికి రాడు; దానిమీద ఒక బాణమైన ప్రయోగింపడు; ఒక కేడెమునైన దానికి కనుపరచడు; దానియెదుట ముట్టడిదిబ్బ కట్టడు.

32. Wherfore thus sayth the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: he shall not come to this citie, nor shote an arrowe into it, nor come before it with shielde, nor cast a banke against it.

33. ఈ పట్టణములోపలికి రాక తాను వచ్చిన మార్గముననే అతడు తిరిగి పోవును; ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.

33. But shall go backe againe the way he came, and shall not come into this citie, sayth the Lorde.

34. నా నిమిత్తమును నా సేవకుడైన దావీదు నిమిత్తమును నేను ఈ పట్టణమును కాపాడి రక్షించుదును.

34. For I will defende this citie, to saue it, for myne owne sake, and for Dauid my seruauntes sake.

35. ఆ రాత్రియే యెహోవా దూత బయలుదేరి అష్షూరు వారి దండు పేటలో జొచ్చి లక్ష యెనుబది యయిదు వేలమందిని హతముచేసెను. ఉదయమున జనులు లేచి చూడగా వారందరును మృతకళేబరములై యుండిరి.

35. And it came to passe, that the selfe same night the angell of the Lorde went out, and smote in the hoast of the Assyrians an hundred fourescore & fyue thousand: And when the remnaunt were vp early in the morning, beholde they were all dead coarses.

36. అష్షూరురాజైన సన్హెరీబు తిరిగి పోయి నీనెవె పట్టణమునకు

36. And so Sennacherib king of Assyria auoyded and departed, and went againe and dwelt at Niniue.

37. వచ్చి నివసించిన తరువాతఒఅతడు నిస్రోకు అను తన దేవత మందిరమందు మ్రొక్కుచుండగా అతని కుమారులైన అద్రెమ్మెలెకును షరెజెరును ఖడ్గముతో అతని చంపి అరా రాతు దేశములోనికి తప్పించుకొని పోయిరి; అప్పుడు అతని కుమారుడైన ఏసర్హద్దోను అతనికి మారుగా రాజాయెను.

37. And it fortuned, that as he was in a temple worshipping Nisroch his God, Adramelech & Saresar his owne sonnes smote hym with the sworde: And they escaped into the lande of Armenia, and Asarhaddon his sonne raigned in his steade.
