1. Now when David lived in his house, he said to Nathan the special preacher, 'See, I am living in a house of cedar wood. But the special box with the Law of the Lord is under a tent.'

2. నాతానుదేవుడు నీకు తోడైయున్నాడు, నీ హృదయమందున్న దంతయు చేయుమని దావీదుతో అనెను.

2. Nathan said to David, 'Do all that is in your heart. For God is with you.'

3. ఆ రాత్రియందు దేవునివాక్కు నాతానునకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యీలాగు సెలవిచ్చెను.

3. But that same night the Word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,

4. నీవు పోయి నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుతో ఇట్లనుము యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా నా నివాస మునకై యొక ఆలయము కట్టించుట నీచేతకాదు.

4. Go and tell My servant David, 'This is what the Lord says. 'You will not build a house for Me to live in.

5. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులను రప్పించిన నాటనుండి నేటివరకు నేను ఒక యింటిలో నివాసము చేయక, ఒకానొక గుడారములోను ఒకానొక డేరాలోను నివాసము చేసితిని.

5. For I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up Israel to this day. But I have gone from tent to tent and from one place to another to live.

6. నేను ఇశ్రా యేలీయులందరి మధ్యను సంచరించిన కాలమంతయుమీరు నాకొరకు దేవదారుమ్రానులతో ఆలయము కట్ట కుంటిరేమియని, నా జనమును మేపవలసినదని నేను ఆజ్ఞా పించిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల న్యాయాధిపతులలో ఎవరితో నైనను నేనొక మాటయైన పలికియుంటినా?

6. In all the places I have gone with all Israel, have I said a word to any of the judges of Israel about this? Have I said to anyone whom I told to watch over My people, 'Why have you not built a house of cedar wood for Me?' ' '

7. కావున నీవు నా సేవకుడైన దావీదుతో చెప్పవలసినదేమనగాసైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఈ ప్రకారము సెలవిచ్చుచున్నాడునీవు నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మీద అధిపతివై యుండునట్లు, గొఱ్ఱెలవెంబడి తిరుగుచున్న నిన్ను గొఱ్ఱెల దొడ్డినుండి తీసికొని

7. So now say to My servant David, 'The Lord of All says, 'I took you from the field, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel.

8. నీవువెళ్లిన చోట్లనెల్ల నీకు తోడుగా ఉండి, నిన్ను ద్వేషించినవారిని నీ ముందర నిలువనియ్యక నిర్మూలము చేసితిని; లోకములోని ఘనులకు కలిగియున్న పేరువంటి పేరు నీకు కలుగజేయుదును

8. I have been with you in every place you have gone. I have destroyed in front of you all those who hate you. And I will make your name to be known like the name of the great ones of the earth.

9. మరియు నేను నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కొరకు ఒక స్థలము ఏర్పరచి వారిని నాటుదును, వారు మరి తిరుగులాడక తమ స్థానమందు కాపురముందురు, పూర్వమందు జరిగినట్లును, నా జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులమీద నేను న్యాయాధిపతులను నిర్ణయించిన కాలము మొదలుకొని జరుగుచు వచ్చినట్లును, దుష్టులు వారిని ఇక శ్రమ పెట్టకుందురు;

9. I will choose a place for My people Israel, and will plant them. So they will live in their own place and not be moved again. Never again will they be under the power of sinful men, as they were before,

10. నీ పగవారినందరిని నేను అణచి వేసెదను. అదియు గాకయెహోవా నీకు సంతతి కలుగజేయునని నేను నీకు తెలియజేసితిని.

10. from the time that I told judges to rule My people Israel. I will put under your power all those who hate you. And I say to you that the Lord will build a house for you.

11. నీ జీవిత దినములు తీరి నీ పితరులయొద్దకు నీవు చేరునప్పుడు నీ కుమారులవలన కలుగు నీ సంతతిని నేను స్థాపనచేసి అతని రాజ్యమును స్థిరపరచెదను.

11. When your days are over, the time will come when you must go to be with your fathers. But then I will put into power one of your sons after you. I will make him king.

12. అతడు నాకు ఒక మందిరమును కట్టించును, అతని సింహాసనమును నేను నిత్యస్థాపన చేసెదను.

12. He will build a house for Me. And I will make his throne last forever.

13. నేను అతనికి తండ్రినైయుందును, అతడు నాకు కుమారుడై యుండును; నీకంటె ముందుగా ఉన్నవానికి నా కృపను నేను చూపక మానినట్లు అతనికి నేను నా కృపను చూపక మానను.

13. I will be his father, and he will be My son. I will not take My loving-kindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.

14. నా మందిరమందును నారాజ్యమందును నేను నిత్యము అతని స్థిరపరచెదను, అతని సింహాసనము ఎన్నటికిని స్థిరముగా నుండునని అతనికి తెలియజేయుము.

14. But I will put him over My house and in My nation forever. And his throne will last forever.' ' '

15. నాతాను తనకు ప్రత్యక్షమైనదానిబట్టి యీ మాట లన్నిటిని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా

15. Nathan told David all these words from all this special dream.

16. రాజైన దావీదు వచ్చి యెహోవా సన్నిధిని కూర్చుండి ఈలాగు మనవి చేసెనుదేవా యెహోవా, నీవు నన్ను ఇంత హెచ్చు లోనికి తెచ్చుటకు నేను ఎంతటివాడను? నా యిల్లు ఏమాత్రపుది?

16. Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and said, 'Who am I, O God? What is my house, that You have brought me this far?

17. దేవా, యిది నీ దృష్టికి స్వల్పవిషయమే; దేవా యెహోవా, నీవు రాబోవు బహుకాలమువరకు నీ సేవకుని సంతతినిగూర్చి సెలవిచ్చి, మనుష్యునితో మను ష్యుడు మాటలాడునట్లు దయ పాలించి నాతో మాటలాడి, నా సంతతి ఘనతజెందునని మాట యిచ్చి యున్నావు.

17. This was a small thing in Your eyes, O God. You have spoken of Your servant's house for a long time to come. You have thought of me as if I were an important man, O Lord God.

18. నీ దాసుడనగు నాకు కలుగబోవు ఘనతను గూర్చి దావీదను నీ దాసుడ నైన నేను నీతో మరి ఏమని మనవిచేసెదను? నీవు నీ దాసుని ఎరుగుదువు.

18. What more can David say to You about the honor given to Your servant? For You know Your servant.

19. యెహోవా నీ దాసుని నిమి త్తమే నీ చిత్తప్రకారము ఈ మహా ఘనత కలుగునని నీవు తెలియజేసియున్నావు, అతని నిమిత్తమే నీవు ఈ గొప్ప కార్యమును చేసియున్నావు.

19. You have made all this greatness, O Lord. You have made known all these great things, for Your servant, and by Your own heart.

20. యెహోవా, మేము మా చెవులతో వినినదంతయు నిజము, నీవంటి వాడెవడును లేడు, నీవుతప్ప మరి ఏ దేవుడును లేడు.

20. O Lord, there is no one like You. There is no God other than You, by all that we have heard with our ears.

21. నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులవంటి జనము భూలోకమందు ఏది? ఐగుప్తులోనుండి నీవు విమోచించిన నీ జనులయెదుట నిలువనీయక నీవు అనేక జనములను తోలివేసినందువలన నీవు మహా భయంకరమైన పేరు తెచ్చుకొంటివి. వారు నీ స్వంత జనులగునట్లు వారిని విమోచించుటకై దేవుడవైన నీవు బయలుదేరితివి

21. What other nation on earth is like Your people Israel? God went to free them to be His people. You made Yourself a name by great things which filled people with fear. You drove out the nations before Your people, whom You set free from Egypt.

22. నీ జనులైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నిత్యము నీకు జనులగునట్లు నీ వాలాగున చేసితివి; యెహో వావైన నీవు వారికి దేవుడవై యున్నావు

22. You made Your people Israel to be Your people forever. And You, O Lord, became their God.

23. యెహోవా, ఇప్పుడు నీ దాసునిగూర్చియు అతని సంతతిని గూర్చియు నీవు సెలవిచ్చిన మాట నిత్యము స్థిరమగును గాక.

23. Now, O Lord, let the Word that You have spoken about Your servant and his house be made sure forever. Do as You have said.

24. ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల దేవుడైన సైన్యములకు అధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు దేవుడైయున్నాడని నీ పేరు ఎన్నటికిని ఘనపరచబడునట్లు నీవు సెలవిచ్చిన మాట నిశ్చయముగా స్థిరపరచబడును గాక; మరియు నీ దాసుడైన దావీదు సంతతి నీ యెదుట స్థిరపరచబడునుగాక.

24. Let Your name be made sure and honored forever, saying, 'The Lord of All, the God of Israel, is Israel's God. And the house of Your servant David is made to last before You.'

25. దేవానీకు సంతతి కలుగజేసెదనని నీ దాసునికి నీవు తెలియ జేసియున్నావు గనుక నీ సన్నిధిని విన్నపము చేయుటకు నీ దాసునికి మనోధైర్యము కలిగెను.

25. For You, O my God, have made it known to Your servant that You will build a house for him. So Your servant has found strength of heart to pray to You.

26. యెహోవా, నీవు దేవుడవైయుండి నీ దాసునికి ఈ మేలు దయచేసెదనని సెలవిచ్చియున్నావు.

26. And now, O Lord, You are God. You have promised this good thing to Your servant.

27. ఇప్పుడు నీ దాసుని సంతతి నిత్యము నీ సన్నిధిని ఉండునట్లుగా దానిని ఆశీర్వదింప ననుగ్రహించియున్నావు. యెహోవా, నీవు ఆశీర్వ దించినయెడల అది ఎన్నటికిని ఆశీర్వదింపబడి యుండును. ఇదియైన తరువాత దావీదు ఫిలిష్తీయులను జయించి,

27. Now it has pleased You to bring good to the house of Your servant. May it last forever before You. For when You bring good to something, O Lord, good is with it forever.'
