1. మరుసటి యేట రాజులు యుద్ధమునకు బయలుదేరు కాలమున యోవాబు సైన్యములో శూరులైన వారిని సమ కూర్చి, అమ్మోనీయుల దేశమును పాడుచేసివచ్చి రబ్బాకు ముట్టడివేసెను; దావీదు యెరూషలేములోనేయుండగా యోవాబు రబ్బాను ఓడించి జనులను హతముచేసెను.

1. It happened at the time of the return of the year, at the time kings go out to battle, that Joab led out the armed forces and ravaged the land of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem. And Joab struck Rabbah and overthrew it.

6. Yet again there was war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, with twenty-four fingers and toes, six on each hand and six on each foot; and he also had been born to the giant.

7. So when he reproached Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him.
