1. ఇదియైన తరువాత అబ్షాలోము ఒక రథమును గుఱ్ఱ ములను సిద్ధపరచి, తనయెదుట పరుగెత్తుటకై యేబదిమంది బంటులను ఏర్పరచుకొనెను.

1. And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.

2. ఉదయముననే లేచి బయలుదేరి పట్టణముయొక్క గుమ్మపు మార్గమందు ఒక తట్టున నిలిచి, రాజుచేత తీర్పునొందుటకై వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారెవరైనను వచ్చియుండగా కనిపెట్టి వారిని పిలిచినీవు ఏ ఊరివాడవని యడుగుచుండెనునీ దాసుడనైన నేను ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములలో ఫలానిదానికి చేరిన వాడనని వాడు చెప్పగా

2. And Absalom rose early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was [so], that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called to him, and said, Of what city [art] thou? And he said, Thy servant [is] one of the tribes of Israel.

3. అబ్షాలోమునీ వ్యాజ్యెము సరిగాను న్యాయముగాను ఉన్నదిగాని దానిని విచారించు టకై నియమింపబడిన వాడు రాజునొద్ద ఒకడును లేడని చెప్పి

3. And Absalom said to him, See, thy matters [are] good and right; but [there is] no man [deputed] by the king to hear thee.

4. నేను ఈ దేశమునకు న్యాయాధిపతినైయుండుట యెంత మేలు; అప్పుడు వ్యాజ్యెమాడు వారు నాయొద్దకు వత్తురు, నేను వారికి న్యాయము తీర్చుదునని చెప్పుచు వచ్చెను.

4. Absalom said moreover, O that I were made judge in the land, that every man who hath any suit or cause might come to me, and I would do him justice!

5. మరియు తనకు నమస్కారము చేయుటకై యెవడైనను తన దాపునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు అతడు తన చేయి చాపి అతని పట్టుకొని ముద్దుపెట్టుకొనుచు వచ్చెను.

5. And it was [so], that when any man came near [to him] to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.

6. తీర్పునొందుటకై రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల కందరికి అబ్షాలోము ఈ ప్రకారము చేసి ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నందరిని తనతట్టు త్రిప్పుకొనెను.

6. And in this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

7. నాలుగు సంవత్సరములు జరిగినమీదట అబ్షాలోము రాజునొద్దకు వచ్చినీ దాసుడనైన నేను సిరియ దేశము నందలి గెషూరునందుండగాయెహోవా నన్ను యెరూష లేమునకు తిరిగి రప్పించినయెడల నేను ఆయనను సేవించె దనని మ్రొక్కు కొంటిని గనుక,

7. And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said to the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed to the LORD, in Hebron.

8. నేను హెబ్రోనునకు పోయి యెహోవాకు నేను మ్రొక్కుకొనిన మ్రొక్కుబడి తీర్చుకొనుటకు నాకు సెలవిమ్మని మనవిచేయగా

8. For thy servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.

9. రాజుసుఖముగా పొమ్మని సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక అతడు లేచి హెబ్రోనునకు పోయెను.

9. And the king said to him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.

10. అబ్షాలోముమీరు బాకానాదము వినునప్పుడు అబ్షాలోము హెబ్రోనులో ఏలుచున్నాడని కేకలు వేయుడని చెప్పుటకై ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములన్నిటియొద్దకు వేగుల వారిని పంపెను.

10. But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

11. విందునకు పిలువబడియుండి రెండువందల మంది యెరూషలేములోనుండి అబ్షాలోముతో కూడ బయలుదేరి యుండిరి, వీరు ఏమియు తెలియక యథార్థమైన మనస్సుతో వెళ్లియుండిరి.

11. And with Absalom went two hundred men from Jerusalem, [that were] invited; and they went in their simplicity, and they knew not any thing.

12. మరియు బలి అర్పింపవలెనని యుండి అబ్షాలోము గీలోనీయుడైన అహీతో పెలు అను దావీదుయొక్క మంత్రిని గీలో అను అతని ఊరినుండి పిలిపించి యుండెను. అబ్షాలోము దగ్గరకు వచ్చిన జనము మరి మరి యెక్కువగుటచేత కుట్ర బహు బలమాయెను.

12. And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, [even] from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు అబ్షాలోముపక్షము వహించిరని దావీదునకు వర్తమానము రాగా

13. And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

14. దావీదు యెరూషలేము నందున్న తన సేవకులకందరికి ఈలాగు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను అబ్షాలోము చేతిలోనుండి మనము తప్పించుకొని రక్షణ నొందలేము; మనము పారిపోదము రండి, అతడు హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చి మనలను పట్టుకొనకను, మనకు కీడుచేయకను, పట్టణమును కత్తివాత హతము చేయకను ఉండునట్లు మనము త్వరగా వెళ్లిపోదము రండి.

14. And David said to all his servants that [were] with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not [else] escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he should overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

15. అందుకు రాజు సేవకులు ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరిచిత్తగించుము; నీ దాసుల మైన మేము మా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవు సెల విచ్చినట్లు చేయుటకు సిద్ధముగా నున్నాము.

15. And the king's servants said to the king, Behold, thy servants [are ready to do] whatever my lord the king shall appoint.

16. అప్పుడు రాజు నగరిని కనిపెట్టుటకై ఉపపత్నులగు పదిమందిని ఉంచిన మీదట తన యింటివారినందరిని వెంటబెట్టుకొని కాలినడకను బయలుదేరెను.

16. And the king went forth, and all his household after him. And the king left ten women, [who were] concubines, to keep the house.

17. రాజును అతని యింటి వారును బయలుదేరి బెత్మెర్హాకుకు వచ్చి బసచేసిరి.

17. And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

18. అతని సేవకులందరును అతని యిరుపార్శ్వముల నడిచిరి; కెరే తీయులందరును పెలేతీయులందరును గాతునుండి వచ్చిన ఆరువందల మంది గిత్తీయులును రాజునకు ముందుగా నడచుచుండిరి.

18. And all his servants passed on by his side; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.

19. రాజు గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయిని కనుగొనినీవు నివాసస్థలము కోరు పరదేశివై యున్నావు; నీవెందుకు మాతో కూడ వచ్చుచున్నావు? నీవు తిరిగి పోయి రాజున్న స్థలమున ఉండుము.

19. Then said the king to Ittai the Gittite, Why goest thou also with us? return to thy place, and abide with the king: for thou [art] a stranger, and also an exile.

20. నిన్ననే వచ్చిన నీకు, ఎక్కడికి పోవుదుమో తెలియకయున్న మాతోకూడ ఈ తిరుగులాట యెందుకు? నీవు తిరిగి నీ సహోదరులను తోడుకొని పొమ్ము; కృపాసత్యములు నీకు తోడుగా ఉండును గాక యని చెప్పగా

20. Though thou camest [but] yesterday, should I this day make thee go up and down with us? seeing I go wherever I may, return thou, and take back thy brethren: mercy and truth [be] with thee.

21. ఇత్తయినేను చచ్చినను బ్రదికినను, యెహోవా జీవముతోడు నా యేలిన వాడవును రాజవునగు నీ జీవముతోడు, ఏ స్థలమందు నా యేలినవాడవును రాజవునగు నీవుందువో ఆ స్థలమందే నీ దాసుడనైన నేనుందునని రాజుతో మనవిచేసెను.

21. And Ittai answered the king, and said, [As] the LORD liveth, and [as] my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be.

22. అందుకు దావీదుఆలాగైతే నీవు రావచ్చునని ఇత్తయితో సెలవిచ్చెను గనుక గిత్తీయుడగు ఇత్తయియును అతని వారందరును అతని కుటుంబికులందరును సాగిపోయిరి.

22. And David said to Ittai, Go and pass over. And Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones that [were] with him.

23. వారు సాగిపోవు చుండగా జనులందరు బహుగా ఏడ్చుచుండిరి, ఈ ప్రకారము వారందరు రాజుతోకూడ కిద్రోనువాగు దాటి అరణ్యమార్గమున ప్రయాణమై పోయిరి.

23. And all the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.

24. సాదోకును లేవీయులందరును దేవుని నిబంధన మందసమును మోయుచు అతనియొద్ద ఉండిరి. వారు దేవుని మందసమును దింపగా అబ్యాతారు వచ్చి పట్టణములోనుండి జనులందరును దాటిపోవు వరకు నిలిచెను.

24. And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites [were] with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had passed out of the city.

25. అప్పుడు రాజు సాదోకును పిలిచిదేవుని మందసమును పట్టణములోనికి తిరిగి తీసికొనిపొమ్ము; యెహోవా దృష్టికి నేను అనుగ్రహము పొందినయెడల ఆయన నన్ను తిరిగి రప్పించి

25. And the king said to Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me [both] it, and his habitation:

26. దానిని తన నివాసస్థానమును నాకు చూపించును; నీయందు నాకిష్టము లేదని ఆయన సెలవిచ్చినయెడల ఆయన చిత్తము, నీ దృష్టికి అనుకూలమైనట్టు నాయెడల జరిగించుమని నేను చెప్పుదునని పలికి

26. But if he shall thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, [here am] I, let him do to me as seemeth good to him.

27. యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతో ఇట్లనెనుసాదోకూ, నీవు దీర్ఘదర్శివి కావా? శుభమొంది నీవును నీ కుమారుడగు అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారునకు పుట్టిన యోనాతాను అను మీ యిద్దరు కుమారులును పట్టణమునకు పోవలెను.

27. The king said also to Zadok the priest, [Art not] thou a seer? return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

28. ఆలకించుము; నీయొద్దనుండి నాకు రూఢియైన వర్తమానము వచ్చువరకు నేను అరణ్య మందలి రేవులదగ్గర నిలిచి యుందును.

28. See, I will tarry in the plain of the wilderness, until word shall come from you to inform me.

29. కాబట్టి సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును దేవుని మందసమును యెరూషలేమునకు తిరిగి తీసికొనిపోయి అక్కడ నిలిచిరి.

29. Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried the ark of God again to Jerusalem: and they tarried there.

30. అయితే దావీదు ఒలీవచెట్ల కొండ యెక్కుచు ఏడ్చుచు, తల కప్పుకొని పాదరక్షలులేకుండ కాలినడకను వెళ్ళెను; అతనియొద్దనున్న జనులందరును తలలు కప్పుకొని యేడ్చుచు కొండ యెక్కిరి.

30. And David went up by the ascent of [mount] Olivet, and wept as he went, and had his head covered, and he went barefoot: and all the people that [were] with him covered every man his head, and they went up, weeping as they went.

31. అంతలో ఒకడు వచ్చి, అబ్షాలోము చేసిన కుట్రలో అహీతోపెలు చేరియున్నాడని దావీదునకు తెలియజేయగా దావీదుయెహోవా అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడ గొట్టుమని ప్రార్థన చేసెను.

31. And [one] told David, saying, Ahithophel [is] among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

32. దేవుని ఆరాధించు స్థలమొకటి ఆ కొండమీద ఉండెను. వారు అచ్చటికి రాగా అర్కీయుడైన హూషై పై వస్త్రములు చింపుకొని తలమీద ధూళి పోసికొనివచ్చి రాజును దర్శనము చేసెను.

32. And it came to pass, that [when] David had come to the top [of the mount], where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn, and earth upon his head:

33. రాజునీవు నాతో కూడ వచ్చినయెడల నాకు భారముగా ఉందువు;

33. To whom David said, If thou shalt pass on with me, then thou shalt be a burden to me:

34. నీవు పట్టణమునకు తిరిగి పోయిరాజా, యింతవరకు నీ తండ్రికి నేను సేవచేసినట్లు ఇకను నీకు సేవచేసెదనని అబ్షాలోముతో చెప్పినయెడల నీవు నా పక్షపువాడవై యుండి అహీతోపెలుయొక్క ఆలోచనను చెడగొట్ట గలవు.

34. But if thou shalt return to the city, and say to Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; [as] I [have been] thy father's servant to this time, so [will] I now also [be] thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.

35. అక్కడ యాజకులైన సాదోకును అబ్యాతారును నీకు సహాయకులుగా నుందురు; కాబట్టి రాజనగరియందు ఏదైనను జరుగుట నీకు వినబడినయెడల యాజకుడైన సాదోకుతోను అబ్యాతారుతోను దాని చెప్పవలెను.

35. And [hast thou] not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, [that] whatever thing thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell [it] to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

36. సాదోకు కుమారుడైన అహిమయస్సు అబ్యాతారు కుమారు డైన యోనాతాను అనువారి ఇద్దరు కుమారులు అచ్చట నున్నారు. నీకు వినబడినదంతయు వారిచేత నాయొద్దకు వర్తమానము చేయుమని చెప్పి అతనిని పంపివేసెను.

36. Behold, [they have] there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok's [son], and Jonathan Abiathar's [son]; and by them ye shall send to me every thing that ye can hear.

37. దావీదు స్నేహితుడైన హూషై పట్టణమునకు వచ్చు చుండగా అబ్షాలోమును యెరూషలేము చేరెను.

37. So Hushai David's friend came into the city, and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
