1. అయినను వేదనపొందిన దేశముమీద మబ్బు నిలువ లేదు పూర్వకాలమున ఆయన జెబూలూను దేశమును నఫ్తాలి దేశమును అవమానపరచెను అంత్యకాలమున ఆయన సముద్రప్రాంతమును, అనగా యొర్దాను అద్దరిని అన్యజనుల గలిలయ ప్రదేశమును మహిమగలదానిగా చేయుచున్నాడు.
మత్తయి 4:15-16

1. Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

2. చీకటిలో నడుచు జనులు గొప్ప వెలుగును చూచు చున్నారు మరణచ్ఛాయగల దేశనివాసులమీద వెలుగు ప్రకా శించును.

2. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

3. నీవు జనమును విస్తరింపజేయుచున్నావు వారి సంతోషమును వృద్ధిపరచుచున్నావు కోతకాలమున మనుష్యులు సంతోషించునట్లు దోపుడుసొమ్ము పంచుకొనువారు సంతోషించునట్లు వారు నీ సన్నిధిని సంతోషించుచున్నారు.

3. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

4. మిద్యాను దినమున జరిగినట్లు వాని బరువు కాడిని నీవు విరిచియున్నావు వాని మెడను కట్టుకఱ్ఱను వాని తోలువాని కొరడాలను విరిచియున్నావు.

4. For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

5. యుద్ధపుసందడిచేయు యోధులందరి జోళ్లును రక్తములో పొరలింపబడిన వస్త్రములును అగ్నిలో వేయబడి దహింపబడును.

5. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

6. ఏలయనగా మనకు శిశువు పుట్టెను మనకు కుమారుడు అనుగ్రహింపబడెను ఆయన భుజముమీద రాజ్యభారముండును. ఆశ్చర్యకరుడు ఆలోచనకర్త బలవంతుడైన దేవుడు నిత్యుడగు తండ్రి సమాధానకర్తయగు అధిపతి అని అతనికి పేరు పెట్టబడును.

6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty El, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7. ఇది మొదలుకొని మితిలేకుండ దానికి వృద్ధియు క్షేమ మును కలుగునట్లు సర్వకాలము దావీదు సింహాసనమును రాజ్యమును నియమించును న్యాయమువలనను నీతివలనను రాజ్యమును స్థిరపరచుటకు అతడు సింహాసనాసీనుడై రాజ్యపరిపాలన చేయును. సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఆసక్తికలిగి దీనిని నెరవేర్చును.

7. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YHWH of hosts will perform this.

8. ప్రభువు యాకోబు విషయమై వర్తమానము పంపగా అది ఇశ్రాయేలువరకు దిగివచ్చియున్నది.

8. YHWH sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

9. అది ఎఫ్రాయిముకును షోమ్రోను నివాసులకును ప్రజల కందరికి తెలియవలసియున్నది.

9. And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

10. వారుఇటికలతో కట్టినది పడిపోయెను చెక్కిన రాళ్లతో కట్టుదము రండి; రావికఱ్ణతో కట్టినది నరకబడెను, వాటికి మారుగా దేవదారు కఱ్ఱను వేయుదము రండని అతిశయపడి గర్వముతో చెప్పుకొనుచున్నారు.

10. The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.

11. యెహోవా వానిమీదికి రెజీనునకు విరోధులైన వారిని హెచ్చించుచు వాని శత్రువులను రేపుచున్నాడు.

11. Therefore YHWH shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

12. తూర్పున సిరియాయు పడమట ఫిలిష్తీయులును నోరు తెరచి ఇశ్రాయేలును మింగివేయవలెనని యున్నారు ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు.ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

12. The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

13. అయినను జనులు తమ్ము కొట్టినవానితట్టు తిరుగుట లేదు సైన్యములకధిపతియగు యెహోవాను వెదకరు.

13. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek YHWH of hosts.

14. కావున యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలులోనుండి తలను తోకను తాటికమ్మను రెల్లును ఒక్క దినమున కొట్టివేయును.

14. Therefore YHWH will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.

15. పెద్దలును ఘనులును తల; కల్లలాడు ప్రవక్తలు తోక.

15. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

16. ఈ జనుల నాయకులు త్రోవ తప్పించువారు వారిని వెంబడించువారు వారిచేత మింగివేయబడు దురు.

16. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.

17. వారందరును భక్తిహీనులును దుర్మార్గులునై యున్నారు ప్రతి నోరు దుర్భాషలాడును కాబట్టి ప్రభువు వారి ¸యౌవనస్థులను చూచి సంతోషింపడు వారిలో తలిదండ్రులు లేనివారియందైనను వారి విధవరాండ్రయందైనను జాలిపడడు. ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

17. Therefore YHWH shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

18. భక్తిహీనత అగ్నివలె మండుచున్నది అది గచ్చపొదలను బలురక్కసి చెట్లను కాల్చి అడవి పొదలలో రాజును అవి దట్టమైన పొగవలె చుట్టుకొనుచు పైకి ఎగయును.

18. For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke.

19. సైన్యముల కధిపతియగు యెహోవా ఉగ్రతవలన దేశము కాలిపోయెను. జనులును అగ్నికి కట్టెలవలె నున్నారు వారిలో ఒకనినొకడు కరుణింపడు.

19. Through the wrath of YHWH of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

20. కుడిప్రక్కన ఉన్నదాని పట్టుకొందురు గాని ఇంకను ఆకలిగొని యుందురు; ఎడమప్రక్కన ఉన్నదాని భక్షించుదురు గాని ఇంకను తృప్తిపొందక యుందురు వారిలో ప్రతివాడు తన బాహువును భక్షించును

20. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

21. మనష్షే ఎఫ్రాయిమును ఎఫ్రాయిము మనష్షేను భక్షించును వీరిద్దరు ఏకీభవించి యూదామీద పడుదురు. ఈలాగు జరిగినను ఆయన కోపము చల్లారలేదు ఆయన బాహువు ఇంకను చాపబడియున్నది.

21. Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
